Israel to Give Obama 12 Hours Notice

The White House must be pretty concerned that Israel is getting ready to do some damage in Iran.

Israeli officials told visiting USS Chief Joint of Staffs Martin Dempsey that it would give President Barack Obama no more than 12 hours notice if and when it attacks Iran, The London Times reported Sunday.

The Netanyahu government also will not coordinate with the United States an attack on the Islamic Republic, according to the report, the latest in a number of suposed scenarios concerning cooperation or lack of it between Jerusalem and Washington.

It is left to speculation whether the rumors are based on facts or are leaked by officials to mask the possibility of secret military coordination.

The London Times said its sources explained that that Israel fears that President Obama would try to torpedo an Israel attack if more notice were given because he is concerned that Iran will respond by blocking the Strait of Hormuz, sparking a rise in the price of oil that could cripple Western economies. If the attack were to occur in the next 10 months, it would put President Obama in a tight spot on the eve of his bid for re-election.

If this is true...what kind of leaders do we have running this country? The world is getting ready to come apart and we need to make sure this country is prepared and standing with our allies....and Obama is more concerned about being put in a tight spot before the election?

The nation of Israel is making life and death decisions on what could be the eve of another Holocaust against the Jews...and Obama is more concerned about being in an election tight spot?

Also realize that the USA and Israel were SUPPOSED to have a joint military exercises....which was then subsequently cancelled. Some in the USA are saying it was cancelled because Obama thought it may be TOO provocative to Iran.

Dempsey tried to play down the postponement of what was billed as the largest-ever joint military drill between the Israeli and American armies, involving thousands of U.S. Army soldiers.

Published reasons for the delay have ranged from budgetary constraints, logistical problems to a signal from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that he distrusts President Obama’s commitment to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Lord...please help this nation if we quit standing with Israel...if Israel's leaders can no longer trust us. And Lord, if this great United States is ripe for judgment and this judgment comes before we hear the trumpet calling us into the sky...please give us the faith, joy, hope and strength to stand firm for the Gospel until You return. Ahmadinejad Offers to Talk

If any of you have read Joel Rosenberg's latest book, TEHRAN INITIATIVE, you will remember a part in the book where the 12th Imam is getting ready to launch nuclear weapons...so in order to keep the USA off guard, he proposes "talks" about their nuclear program. And of course the President of the USA is happy to hear that the date for such talks is scheduled for later next week...so he hangs all his hope on having some good talks next week. Meanwhile he refuses to believe the intelligence reports he is receiving from Israel warning of an attack.

With that as a backdrop, today's headline is interesting in light of yesterday's posting that Iran was preparing for war.

Nuclear row: Iran President Ahmadinejad offers talks

On Monday, the EU banned new oil contracts with Iran, saying it was not confident Tehran's nuclear plans were "exclusively peaceful".

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said it was evident that "those who resort to coercion are opposed to talks".

Tehran insists its nuclear programme is for energy purposes.

Negotiations between Iran and the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany ended in a stalemate in January 2011.

President Ahmadinejad is the highest-ranking Iranian official since then to offer to resume talks.

In a speech made in Kerman, southeastern Iran, and broadcast on state television, he accused the West of trying to ruin negotiations in order to put increased pressure on Iran.

"It is the West that needs Iran and the Iranian nation will not lose from the sanctions," the president said.

"It is you who come up with excuses each time and issue resolutions on the verge of talks so that negotiations collapse,'' he said.

"Why should we shun talks? Why and how should a party that has logic and is right shun talks? It is evident that those who resort to coercion are opposed to talks and always bring pretexts and blame us instead."

This is crazy! All Iran has been doing for the past five years is proposing to talk about their nuclear program...the West hangs their hat on the upcoming "talks" and the "hope" that may come out of them. The talks then end in a stalemate with Iran agreeing to nothing...but in the meantime they have just bought themselves 3 more months of uninterrupted work on their nuclear bomb program.

Is it possible they are ready to start a major war in the near future...and have made this most recent offer of "more talks" simply to let the attacks come as more of a surprise to The West?

China Will Attack India in 2012

Now here is a "rumor of war" that hadn't even been on our thermometer, barometer or tachometer....it just came from out of the blue.

The good news found in this article is that the attack will not be an all out war or invasion....but the expert says he is expecting China to come over and "slap" India. Of course we all know that a big fight usually commences with a slap.

In a recent article, former Indian Army officer Dr. Anil Athale warned that China is carefully orchestrating security-related incidents against India. Such incidents include Chinese military incursions into Indian territory in the Western and North-Eastern border regions of India, recent mistreatment of Indian diplomats and businessmen in China, recurring disputes on the issuance of visas, and diplomatic rows involving Chinese attempts to question Indian sovereignty in Jammu & Kashmir.

Colonel (retired) Anil Athale, who is an author of the official history of the 1962 India-China conflict and now coordinator of the Indian Initiative for Peace, Arms Control & Disarmament (a think tank based in the city of Pune), warned that the government of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is failing to prepare the country's armed forces to fight a likely war against China, which he warns could come as early as June/July 2012. He said that such a war could be like Pakistan's Kargil war, the 1999 conflict which originated after Pakistani troops and jihadists marched into Kashmir.

"It is time India woke up. Luckily, we do have some time. At the moment the Himalayan passes are frozen and no military operations are possible. The likely threat will only emerge in June/July 2012. It must be made clear that one is not talking of an all-out war. What we must accept is a short, sharp, attack by the Chinese, more in the nature of a slap!" he wrote in a recent article.

Iran Preparing Now for Armageddon

Pretty amazing how the world has been throwing around the word "Armageddon" in the past few years. It seems that everywhere we look that Hollywood, Media, Mayans, European Union, International Monetary Fund,....they are all preparing for Armageddon!

Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, an influential cleric and a radical Twelver, previously had stated that Khamenei ascends to the sky every year to take direction from Imam Mahdi, and sources close to the cleric have disclosed that Khamenei has been ordered by Imam Mahdi to continue with the nuclear program despite worldwide objection as it will facilitate his coming.

Last March, a Iranian secret documentary, “The Coming Is Upon Us,” was revealed to depict Khamenei as the mythical figure who creates the environment for the reappearance of Mahdi by leading Iran to destroy Israel.

Jordan Considers Sanctions on Israel

Remember that what we call "Jordan" today was where the Ammonites and Moabites dwelt during Old Testament times. We keep a close eye on Jordan today because the Bible makes reference to that land area in yet to be fulfilled prophecies.

Also remember that following WWI when the Ottomans (Turks) were defeated, the victorious allies carved up the old Ottoman empire (to the victor go the spoils) which included Palestine, and they carved it into their idea of what would become a two state solution. To the west of the Jordan river was supposed to be where the Jews were to dwell and to the east of the Jordan river was where the Arab state was supposed to be... first called Transjordan.

Of course this is a VERY simplified explanation as the borders and boundaries shifted and changed over the next 30 years before Israel ultimately declared themselves a nation in 1948 and the Arabs have been fighting them on it ever since.

And today we find that the relations between Israel and Jordan may be about to sour even more.

Jordan's King Abdullah alluded to a possible deterioration in Amman's relationship with Jerusalem if unless Israel will "demonstrate it is willing to make considerable moves" to reignite the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process, the Al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper reported Wednesday.

According to the London-based Arab publication, Abdullah expected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government to "make significant concessions which will allow the Palestinian leadership to justify their return to the negotiating table."

The papers sources said that the king has "three aces up his sleeves," which he may choose to use if Israel proves "stuborn," including the possible reduction or suspension of the diplomatic ties between Israel and Jordan, while possibly bolstering ties with both the Jordanian Opposition and even Iran.

World Remains Silent

When Germany started killing Jews by the thousands...many in the West remained silent. Some simply refused to believe that a story of that magnitude could be possible.

And as long as the world remained silent, the Nazis continued to ramp up their plans of a world free from Jews.

It makes one wonder if history is beginning to repeat itself.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took advantage of a special plenary meeting to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day to address the threats to Israel's existence.

"Much of the world are silent in the face of calls by Hizbullah for the destruction of Israel, and its continued murderous activities. Many remain silent in the face of calls by Hamas to kill Jews wherever they are.

"These are days when most of the governments of the world remain silent in the face of cries of Palestinian Muftis to kill Jews wherever they are. Where is the condemnation of the Mufti? Not the Mufti of history, but the Mufti of today?

"The Iranian regime openly calls for Israel's destruction, is planning the destruction of Israel, and is working daily to destroy Israel. The lesson says should spur the world to action," Netanyahu said.

Strait of Hormuz and All Out War

Here is some more "all out war" headlines to consider.

Iran is saying it definitely will close the Strait of Hormuz. Of course they understand what this would do to oil prices and what affect it would have on an already problematic global economy.

But let's also remember that about 80% of the income collected by the Iranian government is the result of their oil sales flowing through that strait.

Tensions in the Gulf could reach a breaking point as a senior Iranian official said Iran would “definitely” close the Strait of Hormuz if an EU oil embargo disrupted the export of crude oil, the semi-official Fars news agency reports.

The announcement came in response to a decision by the European Union on Monday to impose an oil embargo on Iran over the country’s alleged nuclear weapons program.
“The pressure of sanctions is designed to try and make sure that Iran takes seriously our request to come to the table,” EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said.
However, with Washington’s decision to deploy a second carrier strike group in the Gulf, the EU’s attempt to pressure Iran economically could greatly increase the likelihood of all-out war in the region.

The Strait of Hormuz is the vital link between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

It is also one of the most strategic chokepoints in the world when it comes to oil transit.

With world oil output estimated at some 88 million barrels per day in 2011, the US Energy Information Administration estimated that some 17 million of those barrels passed through the Strait.

Interesting article today coming from Reuters News about a group of people who sense that something has gone dreadfully wrong in our society and on earth....so they are preparing for the collapse of civilization. This group of people now has been given a name. They are referred to as "preppers".

"Unfortunately, given the increasing complexity and fragility of our modern technological society, the chances of a societal collapse are increasing year after year," said author James Wesley Rawles, whose Survival Blog is considered the guiding light of the prepper movement.

"We could see a cascade of higher interest rates, margin calls, stock market collapses, bank runs, currency revaluations, mass street protests, and riots," he told Reuters. "The worst-case end result would be a Third World War, mass inflation, currency collapses, and long term power grid failures."

"With our current dependence on things from the electric grid to the Internet, things that people have absolutely no control over, there is a feeling that a collapse scenario can easily emerge, with a belief that the end is coming, and it is all out of the individual's control," she told Reuters.

Libya Heads Towards 'Bottomless Pit'

The leader of Libya, Qaddafi, is now dead and in the ground. He was a madman and few people question that. Simply one more example of how Islam seems incapable of electing or having any decent governments that produce anything of global value.

So it appeared to be good news when he was routed and killed....and a few days of hope sprung up as we watched the people throw off their shackles....but it was only for a few days.

And now we have this.....

The deputy head of Libya’s ruling National Transitional Council (NTC) said on Sunday he was resigning after a series of protests against the new government which the country’s leader warned could drag Libya into “bottomless pit.”

On Sunday, around 4,000 students protested against the deputy head of the NTC, Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, at the University of Ghar Yunis in the former rebel stronghold, an AFP correspondent reported.
Speaking to reporters at a hotel in Benghazi, Mustafa Abdel Jalil, the head of Libya’s NTC, warned the protests risked undermining the country’s already fragile stability.

“We are going through a political movement that can take the country to a bottomless pit,” he said. “There is something behind these protests that is not for the good of the country.”

“The people have not given the government enough time and the government does not have enough money. Maybe there are delays, but the government has only been working for two months. Give them a chance, at least two months.”

Angry Muslims Kill 178 in Nigeria

Of course we know that many Muslims are angry. This is evident by the fruit Islam is bearing all over the world. Hundreds of folks have been killed in Iraq in just the last few weeks when angry Muslims strap bombs to themselves and step into a marketplace and blow themselves up.

Egypt just used the people's vote to elect a wide majority of angry Muslims to high office.

Afghanistan is full of angry Muslims called the Taliban who are doing the worst stuff to each other all over the country.

Syria is full of angry Muslims who have randomly shot over 5000 people in the past few months simply demanding a little better treatment. But of course this is child's play compared to an entire city that was murdered by poison gas in 1982 by the father of the guy who is currently in charge of the killing.

The list goes on and on and on.

Today the angry Muslims have struck again....and this time it's in Nigeria.

A coordinated series of bomb blasts and shooting sprees mostly targeting police stations on Friday sent panicked residents of Nigeria's second biggest city of more than 10 million people running for cover.

The scale of the carnage makes this by far the deadliest strike claimed by Boko Haram, a shadowy Islamist sect that started out as a clerical movement opposed to western education but has become the biggest security menace facing Africa's top oil producer.

So now we have another name of another angry Muslim group....this one is called Boko Haram. What are they so mad about? The same thing as the Taliban.....they don't want anyone in Nigeria to get a western education....which is Reuters-speak for "they don't want anyone to learn how to read."

You see, much of Islam is so contradictory of itself that if Muslims learn how to read, they may find out for themselves how bogus the religion is....so it's important to keep the majority ignorant and illiterate. That way the Imam can simply TELL everyone what Allah has demanded. And if you have been brainwashed into believing the lies that tell the tales of Allah and Muhammad since you were a little kid....you have no way to question anything because you can't read for yourself.

How different from what the Apostle Paul told us. He told us listen to what our teachers and preachers tell us and then go home and study the scriptures ourselves to verify that what we were told lines up with the Word of God.

Jesus told us, "You will know them by the fruit they bare." Isn't it becoming obvious what the fruit of Islam is?....and who it is who powers this religion of contradictions and lies?

Friends, these people are lost in lies. We need to pray like never before for that the Truth of Jesus Christ will find them and tear them off the current road they are on...."Wide is the road that leads to destruction and MANY will be on it."

I know it is hard to read headlines like this one and NOT start to feel anger towards the people that are doing these heinous things...but please remember that ALL HAVE SINNED and fall short of the Glory of God. We were also enemies of God until Christ chose US to deliver from the wide road of destruction that we were running on. So hate Satan who is the father of all these lost souls but don't hate the people who are simply operating as children of the devil.

Muslim Extremists Win 70% of Egypt's Parliament

A few weeks ago we thought it was bad news that the Muslim Brotherhood and their more extremist cousins, the Salafists had won 60% of the votes.

Today we find out it is 70%.

CAIRO — Egyptian authorities confirmed Saturday that a political coalition dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, the 84-year-old group that virtually invented political Islam, had won about 47 percent of the seats in the first Parliament elected since the ouster of Hosni Mubarak. An alliance of ultraconservative Islamists won the next largest share of seats, about 25 percent.

The tally, with the two groups of Islamists together winning about 70 percent of the seats, indicates the deep cultural conservatism of the Egyptian public, which is expressing its will through free and fair elections for the first time in more than six decades.

Iran Confiscates U.S. Dollars

The value of Iranian currency is plummeting against the U.S. dollar. Of course if you were an Iranian citizen sitting with a savings account holding Iranian money you would have seen the value of your savings go down by over 30% in just the past few months....which isn't good.

So the prudent Iranian would attempt to swap his Iranian money for U.S. dollars...the value of which isn't falling as fast.

The problem is that the Iranian government may now confiscate those U.S. dollars and you may be imprisoned if you are found to have "too many" of those dollars.

You can start to see the problem with paper currency. It begs the question that one day when the U.S. dollar starts plummeting against the Swiss Franc or the Chinese Yuan and Americans start trying to hold those currencies instead of U.S. dollars.....could the U.S. government employ the same tactics as Iran...and simply start confiscating them.

Of course the reason that will be used will be "national security concerns." The U.S. government did it once before in 1933 when they confiscated every one's gold....so I'm guessing that one day they will do it again.

The Great "Falling Away"

Apostle Paul tells us that in the Last Days there will be a great falling away from the faith of Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians) Many interpret that to mean that many who call themselves Christians and maybe even have sat in Christian churches most of their lives....will really have no concept of the power of God, will simply be practicing a form of religion, and many may not even be saved.

Today we find this headline:

Church is widely regarded as a regular action that can assist one in cultivating his or her faith, while subsequently experiencing personal benefits. While this characterization may hold validity for some, there’s a new study out that shows that, for nearly half of attendees, church isn‘t doing anything to impact or change individuals’ lives.

According to the Barna Group, an evangelical company that studies faith in America, nearly half (46 percent) of churchgoing Americans report that their lives have not changed at all as a result of attending church. While this is startling, 26 percent of individuals who reported having been to church before said that their lives had been changed or impacted “greatly” by the experience; 25 percent said that church was “somewhat” influential.

Holy apostasy!! How many are just going through the motions? Paul goes on to tell us in 2 Timothy;

¹ But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. ² People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, ⁴ treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— ⁵ having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Not gonna lie....as we look at that list and take note of EVERYTHING on his list....it sure appears we are there. And of course a "form of godliness" sure seems as if it could be the people sitting in the thousands of churches across the nation....just sitting there going through the motions...counting the minutes until they can get out of there and get on with their shopping and football.

So what do you suppose it means when Paul goes on to finish his warning with, "Have nothing to do with such people."? Are we supposed to separate ourselves from our local churches if we find that the majority are just going through the motions?

The Return of the Hybrids

Many of you have heard my thoughts on Genesis 6, when the fallen angels abducted human women (took them) had sex with them and the resultant offspring were corrupted flesh called the Nephilim. Hybrids...you might say.

Crazy, right?

I also believe the reason for Noah's flood...was not just because man was 'sinful' (that's obvious that all men have always been sinful) but that flesh on earth had all been polluted with seed of Satan. Only Noah and his family were still 'pure' (uncorrupted?)...meaning that they were still 100% human DNA.

Like I said....crazy, right?

Just today the top prophecy site in the world published an article by one of the top prophecy writers and let's look at some of what he said.

“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5. Humanity is moving through a period of increasingly deteriorating moral behavior. Today wickedness among earth’s inhabitants has grown to a fever pitch. When we study our Bibles what becomes evident is the fact that between the antediluvian world, known as the days of Noah, and our present world there is a shocking similarity unfolding before us.

Keep in mind that Jesus was referring to similarities between the antediluvian era and the last days before His return. Remember, the reason God (Jesus) sent the deluge was because of all the abominable unions (marriages) between fallen angels and human women, and the progeny these unions brought forth. Evil was spread over the antediluvian world exactly the way it’s overtaking ours today. Jesus referred to marriage in those days before the flood because that’s exactly what we read in the Genesis 6 account. “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose” Genesis 6:2 (emphases mine). Jesus isn’t being coy; He’s laying out the future. One that involves the worst possible scenario, the re-incursion of fallen angels into our space/time continuum for one purpose, the corruption/destruction of the human race – just as they did in the days of Noah.

“And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men:” Daniel 2:43.

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark” Matthew 24:37-38. Obviously those of Noah’s day were eating and drinking to sustain themselves, although we’re not told what they were eating and drinking. Some in-depth study I’ve done shows a corruption even in their diet. But my question here is – why would Jesus speak of marriage or giving in marriage during those days? To the casual reader marrying and giving in marriage is seen here as simply going about business as usual, they see nothing out of the ordinary about this verse. But to the studied reader what Jesus is alluding to is that just prior to His return to earth the world will be experiencing an all consuming evil corruption of the genes of humans through the cohabitation of fallen angels and human women just like the people of Noah’s day were, which was the reason God destroyed the antediluvians with a worldwide flood. Think about it this way, who in their right mind will be thinking about their white wedding dress or their black tuxedo at a time when the world will be crumbling around them? The world, just prior to His return, will be filled with the violence, wickedness, and mayhem that Noah witnessed in his day. Jesus lays out precisely for His disciples the full picture of those last days. Jesus wasn’t referring to normal marriage plans, but to very abnormal and abominable copulations between two distinct groups of beings. If we misinterpret the verses in Genesis 6 most of the rest of the Bible will never make sense.

Russia Warns of 'Very Big War'

The rumors and talks of war have been increasing.

Question; Does it seem that long ago when the world had NOTHING to talk about except Bill Clinton having oral sex with Monica Lewinsky and tech stocks were up 40% per year, people were retiring at age 50 if they played their bonuses and stock options right, two homes were all the rage with massive home equity in both to use as piggy banks....the world seemed like a perfect consumer paradise!! We were SO ENJOYING our peace dividend brought to us courtesy of the Soviet Union collapse.

What the heck happened? Has our god of Mammon fallen down on the job?? How come he hasn't come back to fix all the things that are troubling Western civilization? Doesn't he care that we are all still upside down on our houses?! And all this money strife is making us restless!

And now Russia says this;

A former American official has warned that the United States wants to blame Israel for Washington's possible war on Iran that could end life on earth.

US warnings to Israel for not attacking Iran is to avoid responsibility for the war Washington has prepared, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts wrote in an article on Global Research.
"If the war gets out of hand, and if Russia and China intervene or nukes start flying, Washington wants the blame to rest on Israel, and Israel seems willing to accept the blame," Craig Roberts said.

The US analyst also used a few examples to show that the White House has prepared for an all-out war against Iran.

"If Washington did not want war with Iran it would not have provided the necessary weapons to Israel. It would not have deployed thousands of US troops to Israel," he argued.

He said, "Washington won't prevent the war that it so fervently desires. Neither will Washington's NATO puppets."

Rest easy friends....and Iran war WILL NOT end life on earth because we know the rapture has to happen first and then the Great Tribulation where about 2/3 of life will end on earth before Jesus returns. "If those days were not cut short no life would survive."

First the Bees....Now the Bats?

You guys remember a problem with the honey bees all disappearing? It's called colony collapse. Also remember that Albert Einstein predicted that if the bees disappeared that humans would starve to death in 4 years. Of course this is due to the fact the bees pollinate so many of our food crops.

Today we see news that millions of bats are dying in North America due to some type of fungus.

U.S. scientists are estimating that between 5.7 million and 6.7 million bats in Canada and the United States have succumbed to white-nose syndrome, a fungus spreading in eastern North America.

The mortality figures were released Tuesday by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

"White-nose syndrome has spread quickly through bat populations in eastern North America, and has caused significant mortality in many colonies," said Dr. Jeremy Coleman, co-ordinator of the U.S white-nose syndrome program. "Many bats were lost before we were able to establish pre-white-nose syndrome population estimates."

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service director Dan Ashe said the "startling " figures illustrate the severity of the threat facing the animals.

"Today's new mortality estimates are a wake-up call that we need to do more, and fast," said Mollie Matteson with the Center for Biological Diversity.

Africa Drought Looming

Here in Minnesota we are enjoying a very strange winter. We have had no snow and warm temperatures. This comes on top of having no measurable rain since last July...meaning the driest fall EVER!

Of course if this doesn't change in the spring we could be in for some trouble. Kind of strange in that last spring into early summer was the wettest spring EVER.

Jesus told us to watch for droughts and famines as one of the signs that will accompany all the other signs.

So today we have this headline right in the center of Google News.

Aid groups: With new Africa drought looming, donors must speed response

Scientists and aid organizations gave the world plenty of time to prepare, but a late response by the world’s donor nations cost 50,000 to 100,000 lives during last year’s drought in the Horn of Africa region.

That is the message of a joint report by Oxfam International, Save the Children and other charities, released today, during the global meetings at Davos, Switzerland, and at the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. U.S. Treasury Dips Into Pension Fund

Yesterday we posted on how Americans were dipping into their savings and pensions to keep their bills paid and to buy more crap they still can't afford.

Today we find an article that says the Treasury is also dipping into retirement funds to keep the bills paid.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Treasury on Tuesday started dipping into federal pension funds in order to give the Obama administration more credit to pay government bills.

"I will be unable to invest fully" the federal employees retirement system fund beginning Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said in a letter to Democratic and Republican leaders in Congress.

The House of Representatives is expected to vote on Wednesday on the Obama administration's request to raise the country's legal debt limit to $16.394 trillion.

However, unless the lower chamber and the Senate are able to shore up enough votes to block the White House request, the debt limit will be increased by $1.2 trillion next Friday and a repeat of last year's debt ceiling debacle will be averted.

As we look at the news of American consumers running out of money they never had in the first place....and the U.S. Government doing the same, we think of how few in this nation truly fear the Lord. And of course without fear there can be no wisdom. We then read Proverbs 17:16 which tells us; "Of what use is money in the hand of the fool, since he has no desire to get wisdom?"

Isn't that the truth?! Its like a big circle of truth....no fear, no wisdom....no wisdom means you're a fool and fools won't have money for long. That about sums up the American condition.

Israeli Cyber War Heats Up

Yesterday we posted how an Arab computer hacker had disrupted the Israeli stock market and the airlines. Today we are hearing that Israeli hackers have hacked into some Arab sites.

Let the cyber wars begin??

Hackers in Israel and other Middle Eastern countries are in the middle of a cyberwar that has led to disruptions of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, several Israeli banks, and an airline. As a result, some Israeli banks have blocked or are threatening to block international access to their sites to avoid attack.

Hackers identifying themselves as "Israel Defense Forces" threatened in a Pastebin post to attack three Arab Emirate banks, two government sites, Saudi Airlines, and an airport site today, but the sites were accessible midday. However, other sites were inaccessible, including sama.gov.sa in Saudi Arabia.

OxOmar has threatened to publicly reveal credit card data for 200 Israelis every day, if the attacks on Israeli sites don't stop, according to Ynet. He also has called on Arab hackers to unite in attacking Israeli sites.

Meanwhile, Israel will respond to cyberattacks the way it does violent "terrorist" acts, by striking back with force against attackers, Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Dany Ayalon said January 7, following the release of the credit card data, according to Agence France-Presse.

Americans Raid Savings

I have been a financial consultant for about 25 years so have seen lots of balance sheets of family households for lots of years....and I can testify that Americans are raiding their savings and many young folks have totally raided some, or all, of their retirement accounts...just to keep the bills paid.

This is not a good sign.

NEW YORK — More than four years after the United States fell into recession, many Americans have resorted to raiding their savings to get them through the stop-start economic recovery.

In an ominous sign for America's economic growth prospects, workers are paring back contributions to college funds and growing numbers are borrowing from their retirement accounts.

Some policymakers worry that a recent spike in credit card usage could mean that people, many of whom are struggling on incomes that have lagged inflation, are taking out new debt just to meet the costs of day-to-day living.

American households "have been spending recently in a way that did not seem in line with income growth. So somehow they've been doing that through perhaps additional credit card usage," Chicago Federal Reserve President Charles Evans said on Friday.

"If they saw future income and employment increasing strongly then that would be reasonable. But I don't see that. So I've been puzzled by this," he said.

Let the Hacking Begin!

Most of the world's computer geeks are pretty sure that the Stuxnet virus that attacked Iran's nuclear facility computers was the work of Israeli computer hackers.

Earlier this year it was revealed by the CIA that Chinese hackers had hacked into some major systems within the USA....even possibly our power grids?

Today we find out that hackers have been messing with the Israeli stock market and also Israel's national airline, El Al.

The distributed denial-of-service attacks, which also targeted three Israeli banks, were the latest salvo in a month-long offensive between Arab and Jewish hackers determined to give the Middle East conflict an online dimension.

Monday's hacking incident caused the stock exchange's website to perform slowly, while El Al's online services were unavailable for more than an hour.

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by a group of hackers, claiming to be based in Saudi Arabia, which identifies itself by the name "Nightmare".

It came days after a rival Israeli hacking group called "Israel Defenders" published what it said were the credit card details of hundreds of Saudis. Nightmare had carried out a similar stunt after hacking an Israeli sports website.

The self-proclaimed head of Nightmare, who identifies himself as "0xOmar", boasted on the microblogging website Twitter that he would never be caught.

Not sure if you guys are all aware of this but a computer hacking group that calls itself "anonymous" are anarchists who claim to have the capability to bring down the entire global system....banking, military, electric power, food distribution, etc....

Don't have any idea if the angel Gabriel hinted at this day with the prophet Daniel, but he did tell him that in the last days, "Knowledge will increase". When you look at the last 5000 years of mankind they have been riding horses pulling wagons. My grandparents rode horses pulling wagons as their ONLY means of transportation. And now today we have satellites beaming images, videos and conversations to hand held computers called SMART PHONES.

In one man's lifetime we have gone from horses and wagons to remote controlled buggies landing on Mars and sending back high resolution pictures. Also we have gone from not having the word "computer" to a time when hackers could literally disrupt life as we have come to know it simply by sitting at their computer and hacking into the system.

Wow!! What an exciting time to be alive!!

Russia Talks Tough if Iran is Attacked

We all know by now that we are watching for a coalition to form that includes Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya and a few other lesser Islamic states in North Africa. We also know that when that coalition does form in the Last Days they will come up with an evil plan to destroy Israel....they won't be successful, but that won't stop them from coming up with the plan.

Today we have some headlines that seem to be showing Russia and Iran drawing closer.

Russia has given Iran its bear hug and warns Israel and the West that an attack on Tehran would be considered an attack on Moscow. The threat heightens the prospect of World War III in the event of a military strike on Iran.

“Iran is our neighbor,” Russia's outgoing ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, told reporters in Brussels. “And if Iran is involved in any military action, it’s a direct threat to our security.”

Kremlin Security Council head Nikolai Patrushev accused Israel of provoking the United States towards war against Iran, the Russian Interfax news agency reported Friday. “But at the same time, we believe that any country has the right to have what it needs to feel comfortable, including Iran," he added.

Rogozin warned on Friday that more attacks on Iran could cause "a scorching Arab Summer."

Russia also has come to the defense of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, warning Western nations not to intervene in Syria with military forces. Russia is a major arms supplier to Syria and has a heavy investment in Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Does it appear to anyone else that the Iranian situation seems to be a "checkmate" deal? If the U.S. and or Israel attacks Iran....it sounds like it could ignite WWIII. If they don't attack Iran then the whole Middle East will end up in a nuclear arms race and you'll have even more crazy Muslims running around waving nuclear missiles in every one's face....threatening to cause chaos which will lead to WWIII.

So it sure appears we are heading for WWIII no matter what we do. I guess the question comes down to who wants to light the match that will actually start it?

After watching footage last week of the Jews being rounded up by the Nazis and gassed at concentration camps....I know that Israel will not just sit idly by and let their ancient Persian enemies threaten them with annihilation....but what if the fear of Russia's military makes Israel stand down and hope for some other solution?

Holy quandary!! I'm sure glad we know how the story ends and that God wins!! Otherwise this would not be interesting to watch unfold...it would be TERRIFYING!

Fears Rise Israel May Attack Iran

The rumors of war continue to build. Now we have U.S. army chief heading to Israel....maybe to try to stave off an imminent attack?

Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Thursday for talks with Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, and other senior defense and intelligence officials.

The visit comes as the United States attempts to coordinate with Israel on the issue of Iran's nuclear capabilities, and to determine Israel's intentions with regard to a possible attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Ahead of Dempsey's visit, the Wall Street Journal published statements by senior American officers who said the United States had increased preparations for a possible Israeli attack on Iran. They also said the United States has refreshed plans for defending American installations in the Middle East in the event of a retaliation by Iran.

One senior officer told the Wall Street Journal that the United States' concerns regarding a possible Israeli attack on Iran were increasing.

According to the Wall Street Journal, both U.S. President Barack Obama and Panetta have conveyed messages through quiet channels to senior Israeli officials regarding the serious implications of an Israeli attack on Iran. They also reportedly told Israel it should allow more time for sanctions on Iran to take effect.
In the meantime, the United States is preparing for various scenarios following an Israeli attack on Iran, senior American officials reportedly told the Wall Street Journal. These include an attack by Shi'ites in Iraq on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. There are currently 15,000 U.S. citizens in Iraq.

Nine Nations Downgraded

As you recall in 2011 the USA lost its AAA credit rating. But because of all the bad news coming out of Europe the USA was deemed the "least-worst" place to invest...so money kept pouring into U.S. Treasuries. The bad news for USA seemed to run off us like water off a duck's back.

But how long will that continue? Who knows....but with nine nations getting further downgraded in the past few days, maybe the USA will continue to benefit from being the "least-worst" place to park your cash.

The Standard & Poor’s rating agency downgraded nine European countries Friday, confirming that the continent’s efforts to contain a debt crisis that also threatens the fragile U.S. recovery have come up short.

There was a great article in the Wall Street Journal about one of Tim Tebow's role models. For those of you who don't follow sports, Tim Tebow is the quarterback for the Denver Broncos and is very vocal about his relationship with Jesus Christ.

Have you heard about the quarterback who won the Heisman trophy and led his University of Florida Gators to a national championship? The multisport athlete, Florida's USA Today Football Player of the Year as a high-schooler? The son of a pastor who always put his faith before football, even while playing in the National Football League?

Of course we're talking about Danny Wuerffel, who has served as a powerful role model for a certain Denver Broncos quarterback currently making news.

Mr. Wuerffel and Tim Tebow didn't know each other well growing up 13 years apart, but Mr. Tebow's parents made it a point to introduce the two more than a decade ago, while Mr. Wuerffel was still playing at Florida. Both players' families understood that football provided a platform that could be used to talk about the most important thing in their life—their faith. Their attitudes mirrored that of C.S. Lewis, who reasoned that "Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important."

Such mentoring by Christian men is one of the most inspiring and least understood stories in sports. Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy has been lauded—and criticized—for his work with individuals like Michael Vick, the NFL quarterback jailed for running a dog-fighting ring. Yet Mr. Dungy, the author of a book on mentoring, realizes that he gets just as much benefit from the experience. As the Proverb says, "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

This week all eyes will be on Tim Tebow in the AFC divisional playoffs. Few will be watching Danny Wuerffel, though, as he continues to fight for the disenfranchised in pockets of poverty in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and Florida. Marines Urinate on Dead Taliban

Of course the headlines are all a buzz about the video that shows U.S. Marines peeing on some dead Taliban fighters. The morning news shows seemed excited to show the video.

I wonder why the morning news shows aren't as excited to show the Taliban executing women for learning how to read? Or why they don't show the Taliban beheading anyone who doesn't subscribe to their religious beliefs? Or why didn't they publicize the story about how the Taliban chained a man to 4 motorcycles and ripped him into quarters right in front of his family and dragged his body all over town? Why?? Because he was teaching women to read.

Do you think it would make any difference if we learned that these dead Taliban fighters were responsible for killing these Marines friends one day earlier? Or what if they had raped some little girls or boys before the marines took them out and sent them directly to meet Allah??

I watched a WWII documentary last night that talked about how the Russians gang raped thousands of Polish women, then saw the horror of concentration camps where millions were tortured and killed, then watched how U.S. soldiers executed German soldiers who were caught wearing U.S. uniforms....

But we are going to have a conniption fit about urination??? Did you know that urine is sterile?? That's right...it is cleaner that drinking water!!

Persecution is Coming

Many of us are aware that persecution of Christians is on the increase all over the world. They are being harassed and killed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Egypt, China, North Korea, etc.... But will this persecution ever come to America?

We don't know if persecution will ever reach that level here in America before the rapture. But we do know that signs of persecution are coming...and they may start with people harassing us because of their claims of our intolerance of sexual actions and religious beliefs. Specifically, they want us to embrace the gay lifestyle....and if we won't, then we may be singled out for not jumping on the bandwagon of celebrating gay perversion....or be labeled as "homophobes"... which will certainly one day be a criminal offense.

There will be a day of celebration for the RAVE (which stands for respect, value, everyone) group and one of the events will be for all of the students to show their support for all of the homosexual students by wearing rainbow ribbons. So, are they gay haters if don’t wear the ribbons, and… if they do… Your youth staff needs wisdom and prayer from our Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. A good portion of our youth staff and sr. high students will be at Adventurous Christians on retreat this weekend, so ask God to use this time to prepare the kids for His glory.

Bethlehem to Host Anti-Israel "Christians"

Next March, the Bible College in Bethlehem will host dozens of US theologians, activists and ministries for the “Christ at the Checkpoint 2012 Conference”.

It is to be a major religious and political event meant to demonize Israel and to support the Palestinian Intifada against the “ethnocentric” Jewish State.

The impressive range of Christian theologians and pastors from many churches located in the United States make the gravity of the upcoming conference clear.

Samuel Rodriguez, President of the US National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, is a speaker.

Also attending are popular US preacher and “spiritual adviser” to Bill Clinton, Tony Campolo, and President of the World Evangelical Alliance and Asia Evangelical Alliance, Sang-Bok David Kim.

Two of the conference organisers, Stephen Sizer and Sami Awad, adamantly defended the Gaza flotilla sent in May 2010 by the Turkish terror group IHH.

Another speaker, Ben White, has shared a political platform with Azzam Tamimi, who has endorsed suicide bombings against Jewish civilians in the past.

In the last few months we have seen an increase of attacks on Israel by many Christian denominations. While the United States is home to millions of Christian supporters of Israel, these are anti-Jewish Churches which are more closely attached to global public opinion, European bureaucracy, the media industry, the United Nations and various legal forums.

In fact, the “Bethlehem Call” manifesto, which serves as platform for the Bethlehem 2012 Conference, has just been published on the websites of the Would Council of Churches, the Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ.

The Bethlehem Call defines Israel as an “illegal regime” and a “crime against humanity”, it promotes “international boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns” against Israel, labels the more neutral Churches as “accomplices in crimes against humanity” and attacks Christian Zionism as “a crime and sin as defying the core of the Gospel”.

Many will ask, "How could this be possible? How could Bible reading self-proclaimed Christians not understand that Israel is a key player in the Last Days and that blessings and curses still apply?"

The answer is really quite simple. If you are a person who believes that the entire Bible is true including even the difficult parts that are hard to understand....then you are a "literalist" and you will understand the significance of Israel and the major role they play in God's plan of working salvation.

On the other hand, if you believe that the Bible has large parts of it that are made up by men or are simply analogies meant to help us understand the mindset of these ancient people....then you can dismiss all the parts about Israel, blessings and curses and you can firmly begin to believe that any blessings reserved for Israel are really meant for all people on earth....it's that old, dangerous belief called, "replacement theology"....dangerous to Jews, Israel and to Christ followers who believe this false doctrine.

And there are a bunch of these folks who are soon meeting in Bethlehem.

Let's be in prayer for these folks that the God of Israel, Isaac and Jacob will reveal the Truth of His Word to this entire conference.

Another Iranian Nuclear Scientist Assasinated

In a move right out of a James Bond movie....a black motorcycle pulled alongside a car carrying nuke scientist involved with Iranian program, stuck a magnet bomb to the side of the car then sped off and detonated it using a remote control killing the scientist and passengers. This was not the first time this method had been used.

Of course you have to wonder if Israel is behind this?

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Two assailants on a motorcycle attached a magnetic bomb to the car of an Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility, killing him and his driver Wednesday, reports said. The slayings suggest a widening covert effort to set back Iran's atomic program.

The attack in Tehran bore a strong resemblance to earlier killings of scientists working on the Iranian nuclear program. It is certain to amplify authorities' claims of clandestine operations by Western powers and their allies to halt Iran's nuclear advances.

The blast killed Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, a chemistry expert and a director of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility in central Iran, state TV reported. State news agency IRNA said Roshan had "organizational links" to Iran's nuclear agency, which suggests a direct role in key aspects of the program.

On Tuesday, Israeli military chief Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz was quoted as telling a parliamentary panel that 2012 would be a "critical year" for Iran — in part because of "things that happen to it unnaturally."

"Many bad things have been happening to Iran in the recent period," added Mickey Segal, a former director of the Israeli military's Iranian intelligence department. "Iran is in a situation where pressure on it is mounting, and the latest assassination joins the pressure that the Iranian regime is facing."

Defiant Iranian authorities pointed the finger at archfoe Israel.

Implosion or Revival?

Author Joel Rosenberg sent out this email today. Pretty serious stuff. He seems to agree with what we have been saying...mainly that there isn't a politician in either party that is going to be able to save us. If America is going to be saved it will take the supernatural hand of God. We need a Holy Spirit revival.

(Washington, D.C., January 10, 2012) -- Are you praying (even fasting) today for America, for Israel and for the nations of the epicenter? Are you praying specifically for the Lord to raise up leaders who will get America back on the right track economically, spiritually and morally?

I just finished writing and editing a new non-fiction book entitled, "Implosion: Can America Recover From Our Economic and Spiritual Challenges In Time?" Lord willing, it will be published in June. But I need to begin talking about the message now because the issues are too important to wait. In the book, the most difficult I've ever had to write, I argue that America is not simply in decline; we are actually headed for collapse -- an implosion -- unless we make fundamental and sweeping changes soon.

Yes, we need strong, principled leaders with deep convictions who will return us to the Biblical principles that our Founders wove into the Constitution. But even in the best case scenario, even if we elect the right people who are serious about making major reforms in Washington and have a track record of results, they will not be able to save this country alone. We need so much more -- we need the Lord to rescue us, to have mercy on us, before it's too late. We need a series of spiritual revivals to break out in every region of the country to wake up a slumbering Church and reinvigorate pastors and lay people to preach the Gospel, make disciples, plant new churches, and care for the poor and needy with great boldness, courage and compassion. We saw God do this in America in the early 1700s with the first Great Awakening. We actually saw God do this again in the early 1800s with the Second Great Awakening. Now is the time to plead with the Lord for a Third Great Awakening.

USDA Closes Hundreds of Offices

It's a conundrum....on the one hand we want to REDUCE GOVERNMENT and cut spending....but on the other hand we want the government to guarantee that EVERYTHING IS SAFE.

Think about it....we want to make sure that Ford Fiesta cars don't blow up...and we want someone to check it out when they do. We want to make sure there are no terrorists on airplanes, no guns in schools, no dangerous pesticides on our apples, no feces in our fish, no worms in our burgers, no lice in our sweaters, no stink bugs in our basements, no hoodlums on our corners, no prostitutes standing on our corners, no oil companies drilling into our ground water supply, no pornography piped through the TV and radio airwaves, no rabies in dogs, etc., etc...... In short we want our world to be safe, but we are sick of paying for the millions of people that are required to check all this stuff out.

Today the headlines are telling us that the USDA is closing 200+ offices. I will put some of the major info in bold and you see if this doesn't point to some foreshadowing of future "issues".

DES MOINES, Iowa – The U.S. Agriculture Department announced Monday it will close nearly 260 offices nationwide, a move that won praise for cutting costs but raised concerns about the possible effect on food safety.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said the goal was to save $150 million a year in the agency's $145 billion budget. About $90 million had already been saved by reducing travel and supplies, and the closures were expected to save another $60 million, he said.

"They wiped out the entire Midwest," said Lorenz, whose office handles all federal inspections of meat, poultry and egg products in Minnesota, Montana, the Dakotas and Wyoming.

"Our workload is at record highs, we have less money and fewer people and work to do and we tried to address how do you do that without interrupting service," Vilsack said in a phone call from Honolulu, where he was speaking to the American Farm Bureau Federation.

Colin Woodall, a spokesman for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, which represents more than 147,000 ranchers nationwide, applauded the USDA for trying to save taxpayers' money in tight economic times but also expressed concern about food safety.

"We can't say this is all great news because some offices will be closed," he said. "We have to make sure we have the process in place to keep food safe."

"Over the long haul, we believe farmers and ranchers across the country will be better served by the choices we made," he said.

But that was of little consolation to California cotton growers mourning the loss of the 80-year-old agriculture research station at Shafter, which solved many of the industry's pest and fungus issues.

Calcot, a growers' co-op that sells more than a million bales annually, had lobbied officials to keep the center, which lately has been working to address fusarium wilt, a soil-dwelling fungus that attacks cotton plants.

"This is going to be to the detriment of the U.S. cotton industry and ultimately the world because so much research there has benefited growers everywhere," Calcot spokesman Mark Bagby said.

So when the cotton crop gets over run with some new fungus....who do we want to fix it?....THE GOVERNMENT.

And when an E Coli outbreak kills 5 people eating ground beef...who do we want to solve it....THE GOVERNMENT.

And when the wheat crop begins to fail from some strange pest.....THE GOVERNMENT.

And when a jet falls from the sky and we want an answer....THE GOVERNMENT.

Friends, I will remind you that farming is VASTLY different that it was 50 years ago when everyone had an uncle or brother who was farming a few hundred acres and had 40 cows, 20 hogs, and 50 chickens. Today's agriculture operations are thousands of hogs, turkeys, cows, chickens and fish all raised in very tight quarters that rely on antibiotics being pumped into them 24 hours per day just to survive. The crops that we raise are all genetically modified to produce the most bushels with the least amount of rain and require enormous amounts of fertilizer....but they are also VERY susceptible to some strange fungus blowing in and wiping everything out.

The Bible tells us clearly to expect famine in the Last Days. So who will be around in the USDA to solve the next huge fungus outbreak or swine flu outbreak that will threaten the nation's food production and safety?

Good question.

It's Becoming a 'Fat Tail' World

The world is becoming more volatile. It is becoming more difficult for folks to make normal calculations about what to expect in the near future. The investment world has a name for the possibility of experiencing extreme outcomes...they are called 'Fat Tails'.

Such unpredictability speaks to an uncomfortable possibility of extreme events. "Fat tails"—the technical term for the extremes of an outcome distribution—are risks for any global system that loses its anchors. Economies and markets function differently, companies and households feel unsettled, and policy measures become; less effective.

He goes on to say;

Every year has elements of unpredictability, but what's in play in 2012 goes far beyond the usual risk of policy slippages, unexpected election outcomes and geopolitical hotspots. This is also about the global economy losing important anchors.

With European economic fragmentation no longer totally unthinkable, expect even more people around the world to opt for "self insurance," thereby sucking growth oxygen from the global economy. We already see this in companies' preference for holding record levels of cash on their balance sheets, not because they like earning virtually no interest income but because they want lots of assurances of safety and freedom of action.

In such a world, prudence is the name of the game, and patience will likely be rewarded. To paraphrase Will Rogers, investors are well-advised to worry first about the return of their capital and second about the return on their capital. In doing so, they should exploit the flexibility that comes with cash and make prudent allocations to instruments that pay positive real returns, including high-quality municipals, bonds issued by countries with solid balance sheets, and the debt and equity of global companies with iron-clad cash flows and debt dynamics.

I believe it is pretty interesting that this article talked about the global system losing it's anchors.

Bible readers know that the ONLY force that is holding this entire system together is the restraining power of Jesus Christ. Without that...the whole thing would fling apart.

So as the world draws closer to The Great Tribulation it would make total sense to start seeing more "fat tails"....and even the secular authors writing in the Wall Street Journal seem to sense that SOMETHING IS GOING ON....fat tails seem to be happening every single day.

More Extreme Weather

The national news tonight was talking about more extreme weather. In Alaska one town has had 20 feet of snow in the last 3 weeks and the national guard just showed up to help. Also a massive, and unusual, amount of snow has shut down parts of Austria. Next they had had video clip of snow flurries in India in a town that has never seen snow. Meanwhile it was 50 degrees and sunny AGAIN in Minnesota which us allowing for unheard of golfing in January.

And in Texas they have been suffering through the worst drought in recorded history and today they finally got some rain in Houston....but it was TOO MUCH rain that came TOO fast. The news showed video of cars floating down the roads in downtown Houston.

Houston roads were flooded and thousands of residents lost power on Monday after powerful thunderstorms plowed through the area, with a possible tornado damaging and shutting down a nearby mall. Several inches of rain fell in the drought-stricken area over a two-hour period. Roads rapidly flooded and drivers became stranded on major arteries that connect the city’s sprawling neighborhoods and suburbs. In Texas City, about 40 miles southeast of Houston, a possible tornado damaged the roof and wall of the Mall of the Mainland. The building was evacuated and shut. In North and West Texas, the National Weather Service said, a steady downpour will drop an inch or two of much-needed rain. Texas got an estimated 14.89 inches of rain in 2011, compared with a normal average of 29.39 inches.

Strong Economic Data for USA

We have posted in the past about the USA being the "least worst" place to invest in this very volatile world and currently we are benefiting from this.

The headline today is that there is so much demand for U.S. Treasury bonds that the Federal Reserve will not have to go to the auction this week and "buy" anymore.

In the past few years with the federal deficit at $15 trillion plus, and no spending cuts in sight....if the U.S. Treasury needed to come up with cash for Uncle Sam's checkbook, they sold IOU's called Treasury bonds. If there weren't enough buyers to satisfy the supply, or if interest rates were deemed "too high" by the powers that be....then the Federal Reserve would step in with fake money and "buy" up the slack.

Now today we find out that the rest of the world can't buy U.S. Treasuries fast enough...because they are so scared of what's going on in Europe that everyone is fleeing for the safety of the USA.

Why do I have a sinking feeling that this may not end well?

Strong data damps Fed need to buy bonds: Bullard

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Signs the recovery is gaining strength suggest the Federal Reserve may not need to buy any more bonds to spur growth, a top policymaker said on Saturday.

"I don't think it's very likely right now because the tone of the data has been pretty strong" through the end of 2011 and up to now, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard told reporters after a speech at an economics conference. "We can probably wait and see for now."

The Federal Reserve cut benchmark rates to near zero more than three years ago and has bought $2.3 trillion in bonds to boost growth.

While the Fed has left the door open to further accommodation, the U.S. economy has shown signs of accelerating growth in recent months, leaving many to wonder whether the central bank needs to do any more.

Adding to a sense of pickup, the government said on Friday that employers added 200,000 jobs in December and the unemployment rate eased to 8.5 percent, near a three-year low.

I'm going to ask you a question; When real estate in the USA went up by 15% in 2001 and seemed to do it every single year....was that "good" news for everybody?? Then everyone flooded into real estate and seemed convinced that it would NEVER go down. We had people buying condos in MN for $230,000 and they are now selling for $60,000. So when did the "good" news of the real estate boom turn into "bad" news?

In the same way, if the world seems convinced that the U.S. Government is the least risky place in all the world....is that "good" news or should this be labeled as "scary" news since you and know dang well how poor the U.S balance sheet truly is.

Is it possible we are witnessing a big MONEY TRAP that will be the final straw and the world floods into U.S. Treasuries believing they are safe (just like they did real estate) only to have something calamitous happen to the U.S. Treasury market?

I guess we better keep watching....but for now I am going to label this article "good" news.

Men Are Born to Cheat

The Bible says that all humans are born with sin embedded into our very cores. We are born that way. Some are born with a bend towards gluttony, some towards idolatry. Others are born with a bend towards perversion...which may include homosexuality, bestiality, etc... And I believe it is safe to say that just about ALL MEN are born with the desire to have sex with multiple women.

The gay agenda has been to convince society that since gays are born that way...then to deny them their desires is tragically wrong. And now that this argument has caught speed in society....we knew it would only be a matter of time until someone pointed out the obvious that men are born with the desire to have sex with MORE THAN ONE WOMAN...and to deny them this is like putting us in a cage that can lead to anger, frustration and contempt...and who wants that??

Monogamy is failing men.

Not only is it failing them, but it's a "socially compelled sexual incarceration" that can lead to a life of anger and contempt, or so says Eric Anderson, an American sociologist at England's University of Winchester and author of the provocative new book, The Monogamy Gap: Men, Love, and the Reality of Cheating (Oxford University Press, $49.99).

Cheating, however, serves men pretty well. An undiscovered affair allows them to keep their relationship and emotional intimacy, and even if they're busted it's a lot easier than admitting that they wanted to screw someone else in the first place, he writes.

In his study of 120 undergraduate men, 78 percent of those who had a partner cheated, "even though they said that they loved and intended to stay with their partner." Contrary to what we may think, most men aren't cheating because they don't love their partner, he says; they cheat because they just want to have sex with others. And society shouldn't pooh-pooh that.

Monogamy's stronghold on our beliefs -- what he calls monogamism -- brings ostracism and judgment to anyone who questions or strays from its boundaries. That doesn't make sense to Anderson, who wonders why we stigmatize someone who has a fling more than couples who divorce -- throwing away a marriage rich in history and love, upsetting their kids' lives -- over something like sex.

Monogamy isn't the only "proper" way to be in a relationship, and he says it's time that society finds "multiple forms of acceptable sexual relationship types -- including sexually open relationships -- that coexist without hierarchy or hegemony." It's especially important for today's young men, for whom monogamous sex seems more boring than in generations past because of easy premarital sex and pornography.

Of course it is Satan who has always been out to destroy God's stated plan to have one women leave her family and be united with one man so that the two should become one. He realizes that if he can tear this fabric apart that society won't last long and that pain, unwanted pregnancy, abortion, fatherless children, crime rates and ultimately anarchy will be the result.

If he can get society to believe that gay sex is OK and shouldn't be restrained...then it can't be long until society is FORCED to accept bi-sexual sex and marriage, bestiality, multiple wives...and ultimately some woman is going to want to marry chimpanzee...and who will have any right to stop her?? Why should marriage be confined to two humans when orangutans hold 99% of the same DNA as humans? After all...how do you TRULY define what is human?

Friends, I think it is becoming painfully obvious that we ARE ALREADY ON the slippery slope. And once you are on that slope and sliding towards the abyss there is really nothing you can do to stop the slide and reverse course.

Of course our God is a God of miracles so can certainly pull us up out of the miry clay and set us on a the straight path.....but it will take the nation to repent like they did in Nineveh when Jonah warned them to repent or be destroyed...and I simply don't see any signs of a great Holy Spirit revival yet happening in America.

The global extremes just continue rolling along. Ever since we started watching for the word "ever"....we have not been disappointed, and yesterday's incredibly hot weather across the upper Midwest gave us a whole slough full of "evers".

It was 68 degrees in Mitchell, South Dakota yesterday. That didn't just break the all time high for January 5th....it SHATTERED it by 17 degrees. As our local weatherman said, "We are witnessing a once in a lifetime weather event!"

More than 300 record high temperatures were set in 21 U.S. states Thursday. But the heart of the unusual warmth concentrated in Plains, where some areas experienced temperatures 40 degrees above average.

Several locations set all-time January record high temperatures, including Huron (65 degrees) and Mitchell (68 degrees) in South Dakota (SD) and Minot (61 degrees), Fargo (55 degrees) and Jamestown (56 degrees) in North Dakota.

What distinguishes this warm spell is the amount by which some records were broken. Consider Rapid City, SD hit 73, obliterating the old record by 13 degrees. (That 73 degree high temperature was 4 above the high temperature of 69 in Miami, Fl). Aberdeen, SD reached 63, smashing the old record of 46 by 17 degrees and setting a new monthly record.

AccuWeather highlighted the following incredible record: “...in Philip, S.D., the mercury reached a balmy 74 degrees, which absolutely obliterated the old record of 46 set back in 2002.”

Across the U.S., almost one thousand high temperature records have been broken or tied this January, and more than 1,400 in the last week.

Wunderground’s Jeff Masters led his daily column this way: Flowers are sprouting in January in New Hampshire, the Sierra Mountains in California are nearly snow-free, and lakes in much of Michigan still have not frozen. It’s 2012, and the new year is ringing in another ridiculously wacky winter for the U.S.

I don't know if this is God's way of paying back us Minnesotans for last years MOST MISERABLE WINTER ON RECORD....but if it is then I say "Thank you, God!"

However, lets remember the potential HUGE downside to all this warm weather with NO SNOW....no crops will grow next spring unless we get some rain...and here in MN it hasn't rained since August, which means we are currently experiencing the driest fall and winter EVER!!

No crops=Famine....which Jesus clearly told us was one of the conditions to watch for.

The End of Arab Christianity

I think many of us believed that if the West took out Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Mubarek, and the Taliban that just MAYBE the small piece of decency that is present in humanity would be given a chance to break out and shine! And if it could shine for a while then those folks would elect some decent leaders and just MAYBE they could start living in peace with their neighbors.

Of course this isn't happening. In fact the exact opposite is happening and the Arabs are turning on each other and electing even MORE severe governments than those who we helped overthrow...as in Egypt electing the Muslim Brotherhood.

So what happened?

First off we need to remember that there IS NOT even a tiny piece of decency in human beings....we are all evil from the time of our birth, and our marching orders are given to us by our father, the devil. That's what the Bible tells us. The ONLY thing that changes this is when Jesus transforms us into "Children of the Light."

Second off, Jesus came to bring light into the totally dark world. Without light there is nothing but darkness...and in MOST of these Arab/Muslim countries there is not much light because there are VERY FEW Holy Spirit filled people shining the light into these dark lands.

And now, it appears, that even that tiny, dim light may quickly be snuffed out.

The Egyptian Union of Human Rights is denouncing this “mass exodus.” This week Egyptian authorities arrested Gamal Massoud, a Coptic Christian student accused of posting a drawing of Islam’s prophet on Facebook that triggered two days of violence in southern Egypt; meanwhile, Muslims were attacking Massoud’s house and chanting “Allahu akbar” or “God is Great.”

For the first time in Syrian history, the current Minister of Defense, Dawud Rajha, is a Christian. Yet this is not a sign of power, but rather, of desperation. Adnan al-Aroor, the Syrian sheikh who has become the religious voice of the uprising against Assad, is urging his followers to “tear apart, chop up and feed” the meat of Christian supporters of the regime “to the dogs.”

Elsewhere, in Gaza, the 3,000 Christians who remain are subjected to persecution and death. Meanwhile, every year some 1,000 Palestinian Christians are leaving their citadel Bethlehem. In a recent Christmas celebration hosted by the Fatah movement, Mohammad Shtayyeh, a central committee member, appealed to Christians to “remain in the land.”

Nonetheless, the Islamic tiger is now devouring the Christian lamb. Indeed, the Christian era in the Middle East is coming to an end.

It's kind of funny how we humans like to think in two-part sequences. For instance, "If we over throw Iraq...it will be a better place." Or, "If we we give people democracy....then the world will be more peaceful." Or, "If we are nice to the Muslim countries....then they will ultimately come to love us."

The problem is that the world is MUCH more complex than that. It's more like a three dimensional chess game than it is a game of checkers. If you bomb a terrorist in Pakistan...that event can affect about 5 different levels on the world game board...where as we in America would be more prone to think, "We killed a terrorist...so world is now a better place."

And then when you throw in our Adversary, Satan, into the mix who is prowling around like a lion looking to seek and destroy everything....we silly humans are simply over matched and outwitted...but we have too much pride and arrogance to ever admit it...which keeps us from submitting to our Creator.

And if we won't submit to our Creator and Fear the Lord....we will never have any wisdom....and with out any wisdom the problems of the earth will multiply....and ultimately the whole thing will tip over.

I wonder if it will tip over in 2012?

More Evidence

It seems that almost every month there is new evidence surfacing that proves that the Bible is true...and that the Jews are in fact exactly who they say they are and that they lived in the Holy Land exactly as the Bible promises.

This is in spite of what all the Muslims are saying...who deny that the Jews ever had a temple in Jerusalem and that the Jews are simply squatting on Arab land.

Second Temple Seal Found in Jerusalem Excavation

Israeli archaeologists have announced the discovery of a rare clay seal – likely used to certify the purity of ritual objects used in the Second Temple – at an excavation site under the Old City of Jerusalem.The coin-sized seal, measuring about two centimeters in diameter, bears two Aramaic words meaning “pure for God.”

It is the first “direct archaeological evidence of activity on the Temple Mount and the workings of the Temple during the Second Temple period,” according to the Israel Antiquities Authority.

The rare seal was unearthed at the City of David excavation site just outside the Temple Mount compound. Last month, archaeologists found four bronze coins stamped around 17 A.D. by the Roman official Valerius Gratus during an excavation at the site.

Culture Crisis

Of course one of the categories we have been watching is the collapse of the U.S. culture. Our forefathers warned us 200 years ago that when the majority of voters discover they can vote themselves healthy benefits from the public treasury....they will proceed to vote the whole country right into bankruptcy.

The whole nation has been talking about the health care crisis ever since Obama was elected and pushed through free health insurance in an attempt to "fix" the hopelessly broken system.

I received this email that probably some of you also have recieved which is supposedly written by a doctor who works in the emergency room of his local hospital. Whether it's written by an actual doctor really doesn't matter because as you read it you will understand that our health care crisis is really a culture crisis....and we all know that we are currently on an unsustainable path.

Dear Mr. President:
During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ring tone.
While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"!
During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses.
Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based on the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me."

Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear.

Dreaming of a One-World Currency

Bible readers know that ultimately the current system of numerous currencies will ultimately fail and will be replaced by a global financial system that the Antichrist will take control of...and require the "mark of the beast" in order to access it.

Not so fast, though. This is undeniably a period of epic turmoil, and many economists will tell you that sovereign states need sovereign currencies—full stop. But this notion ignores a fundamental truth: Countries with their own currency may have monetary independence, but in reality—as gun battles in Libya, CDOs in the US, and tsunamis in Japan have taught us—we are only becoming more economically intertwined, regardless of what our coins look like.

Step back from the current crisis to consider the long view, and currency unions—or even a single global currency—have a fair share of appeal. A universal medium of exchange could eliminate currency risk and jack up trade. It would mean speculators couldn’t short an individual country’s currency. Tri-Faith Project Being Built in Omaha

OMAHA, NE — The similarities between the three Abrahamic faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam are well known to those who study each religion, but many people practicing these faiths are not quite as aware.

A major pop star named Cee Lo Green, sang John Lennon's famous song, "Imagine". In that song there is a verse that talks about a time on earth when there would be no wars and also "no religion too." Cee Lo made a big mistake and changed the words...which made lots of Lennon fans upset...as he changed that passage to "and all religion is true."

Cee Lo Green upset John Lennon fans on Saturday night by performing a soulful version of the songwriter's classic "Imagine" with the lyrics changed from "nothing to kill or die for / and no religion too" to "nothing to kill or die for / and all religion's true." According to some fans, Green changed the meaning of the song by switching out the line. "The whole point of that lyric is that religion causes harm," tweeted someone with the handle @geekysteven. "If 'all religion's true' it would be a pretty bleak place.

Israeli General Hints at Another Gaza Campaign

Although the ceasefire that ended Operation Cast Lead has largely held, there has been occasional fire, including this week.

On Dec. 28, Israel killed one Islamic Jihad operative and wounded 10 "global Jihad operatives" in two strikes, Haaretz reports. The following day, Gazan militants launched four rockets into southern Israel's Negev desert, causing no injuries.

Really?? Jesus would be a Muslim and wouldn't hang out with the Jews...even though he is one? What if you knew this guy who gave the message had has finger on the trigger to about 8 nuclear weapons that were mounted on missiles and pointed at Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and 6 more were hidden on freighter ships on the high seas within a few hundred miles of the U.S. coast? What if you knew that he believed that the whole world needed to be engulfed in chaos to allow the 12th Imam to return to earth to rule...and that he will bring Jesus with him when he comes?

We don't need to pretend too much longer....because Iran's leaders may be days or months away from having the capability to bring global chaos....and THEY DO BELIEVE that the 12th Imam is already here and just waiting to be revealed when the chaos reaches a crescendo.

I believe the Bible tells us that in the last days men will have a form of godliness but will deny it's power. This research would certainly confirm this prophecy. How many people do we have in our churches who sit in the pews on Sunday but have no concept of WHO JESUS CHRIST really is? How many of them have NO IDEA how the Holy Spirit works or WHAT their mission actually is?

Sadly most people who define themselves as Christians spend their lives trying to conform to the patterns of this world....rather than allowing the Holy Spirit to transform their hearts and minds.

Alien Artifacts on the Moon?

It seems that Hollywood and the media have been particularly enamored with the alien agenda over the past few years. Hollywood is kicking out alien movies and TV shows faster that you can say the word, "abduction". And now science seems to be joining the chatter that we are not alone in the universe and they we may soon discover the "Truth" of how humans actually made it to earth.

The headlines today are talking about how the moon is now going to be scoured for evidence of alien visits.

Hundreds of thousands of pictures of the moon will be examined for telltale signs that aliens once visited our cosmic neighbourhood if plans put forward by scientists go ahead.

Passing extraterrestrials might have left messages, scientific instruments, heaps of rubbish or evidence of mining on the dusty lunar surface that could be spotted by human telescopes and orbiting spacecraft.

Though the chances of finding the handiwork of long-gone aliens are exceptionally remote, scientists argue that a computerised search of lunar images, or a crowd-sourced analysis by amateur enthusiasts, would be cheap enough to justify given the importance of a potential discovery.

Strait of Hormuz

There is a narrow little passage that about 40% of the earth's oil flows through called the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has been threatening to close it and mess with global oil markets. The USA has said that Iran will do no such thing. Tensions are building.

BEIRUT—Tensions between Iran and the U.S. rose Wednesday as the U.S. Navy warned it would prevent any attempt to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz, as Iranian officials threatened to do in response to imposing sanctions on its oil exports.

A significant supply of the world's energy—about 15 million barrels of oil per day—passes through the strait, a narrow passage that connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. A disruption of that flow would send higher the price of oil in an already fragile global economy.

Several Iranian officials over the past week commented on Iran's capability and willingness to choke off the strait if the West embargoes Iranian oil or takes any other hostile action.

Iranian Navy Admiral Habibollah Sayyari repeated Wednesday that it would be "very easy" for the country's naval forces to shut down the strait. Iran is conducting a 10-day naval exercise in and around the waters of the Persian Gulf.

A day earlier, first Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi, said in a speech to Iranian students that "not even a drop of oil will flow through the Persian Gulf" if Iran's oil is embargoed.

"If our enemies in the West start conspiring against us, we'll take strong action to put them in their place," he added.

Most analysts don't believe Iran can afford to close the Strait since they depend on the cash coming in every day from oil sales and it would cripple their economy.

That sure makes sense from an economic point of view...but what if the country's leaders all believe that the 12th Imam is on earth already and is simply waiting for massive chaos to break out on earth so that he can grab the reins to usher in the 13th Caliphate where Islam will rule the world after killing all the Jews and Christians who refuse to bow to Allah...and that Iran's leaders believe they are the one's appointed by Allah to usher in the necessary chaos??

This information is simply quite amazing. In spite of the fact that the USA is on an unsustainable spending track....the world is still clamoring to loan us money!! So much so that at the recent U.S. bond auction there were people lined up to borrow our money even though we WON'T PAY THEM ANY INTEREST!!!

This morning, Bloomberg reported that investors' demand for Treasury bonds was the highest it's been since 1995. For taxpayers, the timing could not be better. The more banks, pension funds, and foreign countries clamor for Treasuries, the lower the interest rate our government has to pay. So in this age of gargantuan budget deficits, we're getting dirt-cheap loans to keep the lights on in Capitol Hill.

How cheap? According to Bloomberg, during an auction of short-term bonds last week, the Treasury received nine-times as many bids as it needed to sell off all its $30 billion worth of debt. The interest rate it offered: 0%.

Let me repeat that: The U.S. government can sell its debt without paying any interest at all. Zilch.

At Wonkblog, Ezra Klein says there's an obvious policy response in this situation: borrow more. He points out that once inflation is taken into account, Treasury yields are actually negative for five, seven, and ten-year bonds. In other words, investors are essentially paying the government to take their money. It's an ideal time to borrow and spend to put Americans back to work, while passing a deficit reduction bill that takes effect in a couple years.

And it's not clear the government will have a chance like this again any time in the near future. Treasuries have been buoyed by two powerful, but temporary, forces. First, Europe tumbled into crisis, which left U.S. government debt was as one of the last safe investments on the market. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve went on a buying binge, snapping up $600 billion worth of Treasuries in order to try and push investors into other kinds of assets. The Fed's purchases made American debt even more scarce, meaning private investors were willing to accept comically low interest rates in return for a safe harbor to dock their money.

Something strange is going on. This condition IS NOT NORMAL. To me this is simply more evidence that a very dangerous bubble is building. The world is so desperate for safety and guarantees that they will PAY SOMEONE to simply hold their money....and that "someone" is the US Treasury.

Maybe the world's investors are correct in believing that the USA is such an incredible country and they are so positive that she will ALWAYS be here to pay her IOU's....that we should lighten up on all the doom and gloom news coming for America. But let's remember to take a look at legalized abortion, lawlessness, divorce, broken families, porn addictions, falling away from the Gospel, extreme weather, strange signs in the skies, outbreaks of paranormal activity, the news focused on Israel, the enemies gathering against Israel, Israel being isolated, coalitions building, earthquakes, wars and rumors of war....and then remember that the USA is not mentioned anywhere in biblical prophecy.

I guess we all need to make up our own minds in these VERY confusing times. Pray that the Lord Jesus will guide our hearts and minds during these strange times that he has blessed us to live in.

Many financial market watchers are calling the last week of rising stocks the "Santa Claus Rally." But now the three wise men (actually 2 men and 1 woman) have spoken and it appears that they don't believe the upsurge in financial markets will hold for 2012.

Interesting that one of them is the leader of the IMF and she sees a real problem continuing to build in the area that is so vital for sustainability....CONFIDENCE!

Nouriel Roubini, the New York University economist who predicted the unraveling of the financial system in 2008, is calling for “a recession in Europe, anemic growth at best in the United States, and a sharp slowdown in China and in most emerging market economies.”

Kenneth Rogoff, the Harvard economist who has studied 800 years of financial crises, calls for a “second great contraction” caused by a badly over-leveraged global economy that requires deleveraging that “typically takes many years to complete.”

You want a more official rendering? I give you Christine Lagarde, who keeps warning that the world economy is in a “dangerous situation.” This past weekend she explained that the “Santa Claus rally” in the U.S. was due simply to “only temporarily calmed markets.”

Be forewarned: Ahead of us, predicts the IMF leader and gritty former French finance minister, is “a crisis of confidence in public debt and the solidity of the financial system.”

OK....I may not be a wiseman, but you have to admit that when the leader of the IMF uses a phrase like "crisis of confidence in public debt and the solidarity of the financial system"....that sounds pretty serious.

If the public starts to realize that France owes Italy $billions, and Italy owes Greece $billions, and Germany owes France $billions, and the UK owes Germany $billions....and no one actually has any money to pay the $billions that they owe the other without borrowing it from someone else....the realization could really put people into panic.

On top of this news we have the U.S. government realizing that once again they need to raise the debt ceiling this week by another $1.5 trillion to keep things going along on all of our unsustainable programs that we indebted to.

I am seriously beginning to wonder if the ONLY reason that this whole house of cards has not already collapsed is because the retraining hand of God has been held up to stop it all from crumbling....until HIS perfect timing allows it to crumble.

Americans Say They are Better Off Than Their Parents

"Most Americans still think they are doing better financially than their parents did when they were the same age," Elizabeth Mendes, deputy managing editor at Gallup, wrote in a blog post. "This is positive news, given the difficult state of the U.S. economy over the past several years -- with millions of Americans seeing their home values deteriorate and jobs evaporate."

Homes in the U.S. are expected to lose $681 billion in value in 2011, according to Zillow. Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate is 8.6 percent, the lowest this year but still higher than many economists had hoped. Unemployment has remained persistently high since the recession began in 2008, with the country witnessing the longest stretch the jobless rate has stayed over 8 percent since 1948.

Now let's imagine if Gallup took a poll and asked, "Spiritually speaking, are you better off than your parents?"

I wonder how the answers would differ? It certainly makes me wonder if it wouldn't be revealed that each passing generation has been turning away from the "fear of the Lord"....and so has been losing wisdom with every passing decade. We may have more technology than our forefathers and more material wealth....but I wonder if we aren't starving to death from Spiritual hunger...and only a hunger that the Holy Spirit endowed by Jesus Christ can satisfy.

Also notice the last sentence about how unemployment has been above 8% for the longest stretch since 1948. What happened in 1948 that rocked the world?? Israel became a nation!...and as long as we blessed her existence our economy has been blessed....but now that we may be turning against her and pressuring her to divide the land...our economy may also be losing it's blessing.

Just a coincidence?? You decide.

And the Government Will Be Upon His Shoulders

will accomplish this.

Anybody who has ever been to a choir concert has probably heard these verses sung...but how many listeners realize that the ONLY part of the passage that has happened is that a child has been born?...that's it.

The government has never sat on Jesus' shoulders. Peace on earth between men has been non existent and has actually gotten worse as the population of earth grows. The world has never called Jesus "Wonderful Counselor". And of course justice and righteousness has also been in very short supply on planet earth....and as the greed of men seems to be getting worse, not better.

So friends, we have some great promises to look forward to! This is an exciting time! The nations are rising against each other, the love of many has grown cold, children have become ungrateful and disobedient, men have become brutal and lovers of themselves, even the women are turning into perverts as porn bathes our society. This can only mean one thing....the Lord is going to come and set all things straight! And we have a guarantee that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!! WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD AND JESUS GAVE IT TO US!!

So today during this celebration of our Lord and Savior's birth, lets remember that the story only STARTED in Bethlehem 2000 years ago...and the best is yet to come.

Russia and a Missile Named Satan

The tensions around the globe continue to heat up. It's almost as if the nations can sense that something is getting ready to be shuffled...and they want to make sure they are ready to gather up their fair share of the pieces.

Today the headlines out of Russia are that they are not happy with the U.S. missile defense shield which we are working on to defend our allies and ourselves against an Iranian nuke. Russia doesn't quite see it that way and are a little upset that it could be used to shoot down Russian nukes as well.

So now we have the headlines out of Russia that they are working on a 100 ton monster missile and it's nickname is "Satan"...and it appears the Cold War may start heating up again.

During campaign season, it never hurts for a presidential candidate facing a frustrated public to display toughness and resolve in the face of an old and familiar adversary. And it also doesn't hurt to throw in some shock-and-awe--say, a ballistic missile nicknamed "Satan."

This appears to at least partly explain why on Monday Russia announced that it had successfully tested a short-range interceptor missile; part of its ongoing effort to develop a domestic missile defense system, according to Russia's RIA News Agency. (The Russian Defense Ministry has provided a video of the missile's launch on its website.) Russia also announced it is working on the development of a 100-ton ballistic missile slated for release in 2015, Pravda reports. Russia recently held contested parliamentary polls and is due to hold presidential elections in March. Russia watchers note the political backdrop to the announced plans and their part in the wider narrative agenda: resurgent Russia's determined opposition to American missile defense plans in Eastern Europe.

Christianity May Be Gone From Iraq and Afghanistan

Jesus said he came to bring light into the darkness. Wherever his follower are endowed with the Holy Spirit on earth then there is a light the shines. The more followers there are...the brighter the light that shines.

So now that the USA has led a war in both countries hoping to allow freedom and human rights to ring...the exact opposite appears to have happened. The Light of Jesus Christ may be disappearing at a very fast pace.

I think one would refer to this as "unintended consequences."

Old Testament Prophecy Fulfilled Before Our Eyes?

There is an obscure passage in Isaiah that talks about bricks coming down and a sycamore tree being destroyed and replaced by a different type of tree.

The Jewish author of a new book out titled The Harbinger is making the claim that the bricks coming down on 9/11 killed a sycamore tree that was replaced by type of cedar tree.

The "coincidences" get pretty eerie after that as two different U.S. Senators invoke the same obscure passage following 9/11.

Pakistan Turns to Exorcism for Help

Doctors could not help, so they brought the college student, kicking and screaming, to be exorcised by the spirit of a saint.

The West mostly associates Pakistan with Taliban militants who force women to cover from head to toe, blow up girls’ schools and carry out suicide bombings. But Islam in the South Asian nation of 180 million is far more diverse.

Many flock to shrines like the one where Haneef’s relatives seek solace in the Sufi strand of Islam abhorred by militants and considered more liberal in its philosophy than other branches followed by Shiites and Sunnis.

“Sania has been possessed since she was six years old,” her brother, Mohammed, said, describing how an evil spirit, known as a jinn, would speak through her in a man’s voice.

“The shrine has captured the spirit. Sania will be cured soon. None of us is leaving until that happens.”

Pakistanis are beset by problems -- violence, crippling power cuts, poverty and dilapidated hospitals are but a few.

The government, seen as inept and corrupt, offers little relief.

Yesterday the stock market went up over 2.5% in one single day....but ironically billions of dollars has been pouring OUT of the stock market as investors are losing faith and confidence in they system.

U.S. Crime Rate FALLS!!

Crime continues to fall in all major categories, a streak that has now hit 4½ years, according to data released Monday, but killings of police officers are on the rise this year.

Violent crime fell 6.4% in the first half of 2011, compared with the same period last year, with declines seen in every region of the country, Federal Bureau of Investigation figures showed. The preliminary data were gathered from about 12,500 local law-enforcement agencies.

Police officials and some criminologists attribute the persistent crime drop to more-sophisticated policing methods, such as targeting hot spots with extra officers. James Alan Fox, a professor of criminology at Northeastern University in Boston, said the proliferation of technology—from security cameras to cellphones—has also played a large role, making it harder for people to commit crimes without being reported or recorded.

Mr. Fox, the criminologist, said public perception of crime is often sharply at odds with actual crime rates. Many Americans, he said, "simply won't believe" crime is falling. For one reason, there are still plenty of neighborhoods where shootings are common. Second, he argued, crime is such a huge part of news and television programming that many people don't realize the crime rate is roughly half what it was two decades ago.

I would say I have to agree with his news and programming contents. We are simply bombarded with bad news 24/7 because that is more interesting to report and watch than good news. This headline got me thinking about something I have always pondered but no one from the Pro-Choice side has been able to satisfactorily explain...and here is the scenario;

If a woman gives birth to a palm sized baby weighing just 9 1/2 ounces and the doctor puts it into an incubator where the baby is alive....and then the mother decides the next day that she really doesn't want the hassle and expense of caring for a preemie baby....so the mother goes over to the incubator next door to her hospital room and shoves a scissors into the baby's head killing the baby....the police would immedieately arrest the woman and charge her with murder....the media would be appalled and how any human woman could behave so mercilessly to a baby....and the public outrage all around would be severe.

Now let's back up the whole scenario 24 hours where that same woman is still pregnant so the same palm sized, 9 1/2 ounce baby is still safe in her womb....and she decides she doesn't want the baby so she pays a doctor to reach into her womb and stick a scissors into the baby's head, kills it and then vacuums it out of the woman. The woman goes home, the baby is thrown into a dumpster and the doctor collects $500 for his expertise.

The ONLY thing that changed is 24 hours....the result is still one dead baby. But in one case the woman is in prison and in the next scenario she might be patted on her back for having "courage".

Can ANYONE explain how this can be happening in a civilized, intelligent country?

At birth, Melinda Star Guido was so tiny she could fit into the palm of her doctor's hand. Weighing just 9 1/2 ounces -- less than a can of soda -- she is among the smallest babies ever born in the world. Most infants her size don't survive, but doctors are preparing to send her home by New Year's.

Melinda was born premature at 24 weeks over the summer and spent the early months cocooned in an incubator in the neonatal intensive care unit in Southern California. Almost every day, her 22-year-old mother sits at her bedside and stays overnight whenever she can.

I have read statistics that U.S. woman have aborted over 50,000,000 babies since abortion was legalized in the 1970's. I heard one sermon where the preacher said, "The blood of 50,000,000 innocent children of God is crying out from the ground demanding justice from their Creator!"

Massive Storm Hit Philippines

Hundreds are dead and swept out to sea as a surprise storm bashed into the Philippine Islands. Check out some of the language used to describe this catastrophe;

The disaster area, located about 800km from the capital, Manila, is normally bypassed by the average of 20 typhoons that ravage other parts of the far-flung Philippine archipelago every year.

As a result, many residents were caught by surprise when floods suddenly hit their homes in the dead of night, before dawn on Saturday.

More than 88,000 people have been displaced by the storm with over half of them huddled in crowded, makeshift government evacuation centres, the disaster management council said.

The death toll is expected to rise even further as more floating bodies are recovered after sunrise, said Benito Ramos, head of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

He put the total of the dead at 927, adding that the council had lost count of all those still missing after tropical storm Washi brought heavy rains, flash floods and overflowing rivers to the southern island of Mindanao.

"They [the dead bodies] were washed out to sea. They were underwater for the first three days but now, in their state of decomposition, they are bloated and floating to the surface," Ramos said.

"The death toll will rise again [in the morning] when more bodies surface."

It sounds like a scene out of some Armageddon movie. These scenes seem to be happening so fast that no one much pays attention anymore. Probably just the way that the Prince of this Earth would have it.

For those of us who are "awake" these headlines just confirm that something BIG is going on. For those who are "children of the darkness"....the increased frequency of catastrophic events just seems to make them fall further into a deep sleep...and further into denial.

They were caught by surprise when the flood came and took them all away.....sounds eerily familiar to as it was in the Days of Noah.

The Permafrost is Thawing!!

Let's have a brief chat about global warming, shall we?

For the record, I am of the understanding that we are on an enormous rock (called earth) that is spinning around on it's axis at 1000 mph and hurtling through space as it makes it billions of miles annual march around the sun. No man is driving this earth....we are just along for the ride.

We also know that some thousands of years ago that a large part of this planet, including where I sit in Minnesota, was covered by up to one mile thick ice....and that the ice scratched out most of our 10,000 lakes here in Minnesota.

We also know that earth has been hit with some REALLY large meteors in the distant and not distant past...meteors so large that they could have wiped out huge amounts of life and forever changed the planet.

Is summation...I believe we are supposed to care for the earth around us as best as we can. But unlike many of my liberal neighbors here in Minnesota, I don't believe this earth is going to end ONE SINGLE DAY BEFORE GOD SAYS SO.

So back to global warming.....is the earth getting warmer? Maybe! I would hope it has gotten warmer because if it hadn't we may all be sitting under a glacier. But has earth also gotten colder in the not distant past? It appears so...because Greenland used to be farmed...and now it is sitting underneath lots of ice.

So what's going on? I believe it is just one more event that is being used by the Prince of this Earth to pit humans with a Biblical worldview against those without a Biblical world view. Personally, I have been ridiculed by some liberal friends for not buying into the theory of Man-Made-Global-Warming. How could I be so ignorant, they will ask me. We need to all come together all over the world to stop this warming or we will all die!!...they tell me. Or at the very least the sea levels will rise so far that all the billions of people now living along the ocean will have to relocate and the unrest will kill us all...or at least bankrupt us all.

The Bible tells us that this earth is passing away....because it WILL one day pass away...and the Lord Jesus Christ will remake it into an earth where the lion lays down with the lamb and the children will be able to play with poisonous snakes. Yep...that's what I believe. Can you imagine telling that to your college professor??

Now today we have a new terrifying headline that could really shake up the world's climatologists....The PERMAFROST IS MELTING!!! And when it does it could put so much carbon from the decaying plants locked under the ice...that we may all be doomed a lot earlier than anyone thought.

There’s a whole lot of carbon locked up in all that frozen soil and organic matter. And, as the frost melts, that carbon will enter the atmosphere, most of it as carbon dioxide, but some of it transformed by bacteria into methane, an even more powerful heat-trapping greenhouse gas. That, in turn, will warm the planet further. It’s a potent feedback mechanism, and scientists still aren’t sure just how potent it might be.

So how worried should we be? Over the weekend, Justin Gillis had a beautifully reported piece in The New York Times on the permafrost question that summed up what scientists do and don’t know: “In the minds of most experts, the chief worry is not that the carbon in the permafrost will break down quickly — typical estimates say that will take more than a century, perhaps several — but that once the decomposition starts, it will be impossible to stop.” There’s no looming apocalypse, but melting permafrost could make it much harder to avoid setting the planet down a path of irrevocable warming.

Here is an interesting question....how did all these green plants get locked under a sheet of ice and permafrost to begin with? Doesn't that mean that at one time the earth was so warm that it grew green plants way up past the Arctic circle? And if it was that warm thousands of years ago before humans were even burning fossil fuels....why can't they just accept that mankind has no control over volcanoes, meteors, ocean currents, el nino, la nina, cloud cover, jet streams, etc.... We have no control over anything!! Yet many of the world's "smartest" scientists are telling us we all better submit to some massive carbon scheme (which is ultimately a power grab of control) or else we will all be doomed.

The intelligence of the intelligent men on earth certainly appears to be waning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom....and without that fear there can be no understanding of what is going on.

Kim Jong Il is Dead

Big news just coming out of North Korea is that their wacko leader is dead.

We need to be in prayer for this dark, poor country that the light of Jesus Christ may somehow be shined into the darkness of North Korea.

SEOUL—Kim Jong Il, the dictator who used fear and isolation to maintain power in North Korea and the threat of nuclear weapons to menace his neighbors and the U.S., has died, North Korean state television reported early Monday.

His death opens a new and potentially dangerous period of transition and instability for North Korea and northeast Asia. Mr. Kim in September 2010 tapped his youngest son to succeed him, though it isn't known whether the son will take control right away.

Return of the Nephilim

Anyone who has talked to me in the past 5 years knows that I have been pretty interested in the supernatural Genesis 6 passage that refers to the nephilim...when fallen angels took women, had sex with them and produced a perverted race of beings, some of which were giants.

Yesterday I found an article by a major writer in the prophetic field...and the article is on the return of the nephilim. This writer is also of the understanding that what the world is seeing as "UFO's and space aliens" are actually a Satanic plan of deception and that they are actually demons and/or strange flesh of human/hybrid beings which will be used to delude the earth.

Currently Satan, his hoard of fallen angels, and the demons of old are poised on the brink of facilitating the most startling phenomenon the world will ever witness; the Bible calls it a “strong delusion”. The race is on; it’s a race against time itself. Not one of the multitudes of malevolent supernatural beings, or any human for that matter, has a clue as to when Satan’s time will run out. But there are certainly indications that humanity has entered its final phase, which portends that Satan’s last days are here. Satan can see the same things we see, except he sees them with an urgency the rest of us can’t even comprehend. Satan is responsible for the evil which will bring about much of the catastrophic occurrences on planet earth in the last days.

Satan has an agenda which includes a massive amount of deception and a bit of public exposure to pique the interest of a few, yet maintaining his agenda in the realm of science fiction for the moment. In the meantime scary things are happening – the appearance of ghosts/demons, “space” aliens, unexplained animal mutilations, etc. All of these weird occurrences are burgeoning. The world is moving into chilling, unexplored territory. Yet people seem to have no fear of the aforementioned occurrences. Why is that? Because we’ve been desensitized through some entertaining Hollywood movies, and the exploitation of the paranormal.

Here’s the rub, the human race is being setup for the last day’s delusion. Everything is falling perfectly into place. The brunt of the delusion won’t be fully in place until the “Church” is in Heaven. There’s no doubt that what’s currently occurring all over the world points to a worldwide deception. To some of us who have been given discernment, Satan’s attempt at deluding the public is obvious. “…the son of perdition. Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God...”

2 Thessalonians 2:3b-4a. This son of perdition is ready to be revealed, his only hindrance is the Holy Spirit indwelt Church.

Holy dang demon spawns!! They are getting ready for some big mass deception and it appears to be about 100% certain that the major part of the deception will come after the Holy Spirit is withdrawn in the rapture.

So what the world is seeing today, in increased UFO sightings, is simply the tip of the iceberg as to what is coming. And these increased sightings are simply preparing the world to believe in "aliens"...so when Satan does send the demons in disguise...the world will accept them and believe every lie they say.

Sounds like a Hollywood science fiction movie being played out right in front of us....and the climax of the movie has yet to be revealed. How bizarre? How strange? How scary is that? How exciting is that?

Again, I agree with the writer of the article when he says, "The brunt of the delusion won’t be fully in place until the “Church” is in Heaven." That means this Satanic trap of aliens won't fully snap until AFTER THE RAPTURE!!

So if the UFO's are appearing around the world every day....how close may we be to the rapture??

China Threatens WWIII if Iran is Attacked

As I was reading this article, I wondered what possible reason China would have for saying this. Why would China be willing to ignite WWIII for the sake of Iran? Is it all about oil?? Certainly, China can't have any love for Shiite Muslims.

A professor from the Chinese National Defense University says if Iran is attacked, China will not hesitate to protect the Islamic Republic even by launching the Third World War.

Major General Zhang Zhaozhong said, "China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third World War."
The United States and Israel have repeatedly threatened Tehran with the "option" of a military strike, based on the allegation that Iran's nuclear program may consist of a covert military agenda.

Iran has refuted the allegations, saying that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, it has the right to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

Over the past weeks, Israel has renewed its aggressive rhetoric against Iran. On November 21, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned that "time has come" to deal with Iran.

Israeli President Shimon Peres also threatened on November 6 that an attack against Iran is becoming "more and more likely."

Iranian officials have promised a crushing response to any military strike against the country, warning that any such measure could result in a war that would spread beyond the Middle East.

Most of us are familiar with this story from Luke 7 where then Jesus commanded the demonic horde possessing this man to go into a herd of pigs and spare them from being sent to the Abyss.

So it is interesting to me that there is a new movie coming out (in 2012) that is a documentary about the computer hackers that call themselves "anonymous". These hackers (also called "Hacktivists) claim that they are behind the revolutions that are currently roiling the world, from the Arab Spring, to the Occupy Wallstreet to the U.S. Governments secret files being hacked into and they are saying that they could bring down the entire world's system if they really want to.

Iran Responds to Obama's Toy Plane Request

A few days ago we posted on the news that Obama had asked Iran to give the spy drone back...and he was waiting to hear their response.

Well now Iran has responded....and needless to say and as expected, Obama's wimpy request was viewed with little respect from the Persians.

TEHRAN (FNA)- A top Tehran commander dismissed as "shameless" the call by US President Barack Obama on Tehran to send back the US RQ-170 Sentinel stealth aircraft that violated Iran's airspace and was downed by the Iranian Armed Forces earlier this month, and said the US demand was a confession of defeat and failure.

"That is a shameless demand raised by the US President. They raise such claims instead of apologizing to our Islamic establishment and people," Deputy Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Hejazi told reporters on Wednesday.

"On the other hand, the demand is, of course, a acknowledgement of defeat and failure," Hejazi stated, adding, "They should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran is entitled to the right to react to the US aggression."

What Obama doesn't seem to realize is that Muslim leaders, be they Shia or Sunni, seem less than impressed with politeness and mercy. They respect positions of strength. And when Obama responds this way the Persians thought it an impotent response...and the Persian Generals don't have a big soft spot in their psyches for impotence.

So Obama seems to be making the world a more dangerous place by announcing that the world's ONLY SUPERPOWER is just getting sick and tired of war...and we pretty much aren't going to wipe out anyone anymore, no matter what our enemies say or do.

It also sends the same message to our allies like Israel, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan....giving them warning that they really better make some ulterior plans for their own defense because the USA is getting tired of using our military...not to mention we are running out of money to fund our military.

The Everlasting Struggle

Early on in the story of Abraham we discover that Sarah came up with a plan to have a child because she wouldn't wait for the Lord to do it in His perfect timing. Whenever we come up with our own plans that are apart from God's plans...we can expect negative consequences.

So in Abraham's case, he shouldn't have listened to his wife but I'm sure when SHE suggested he sleep with her servant, Abraham may not have needed much encouragement.

Anyway, the result was Ishmael. Scholars tell us that he would have been about 13 years older than Isaac....who was the Son of Promise that God had promised to Abraham.

If you are unfamiliar with this story, I would suggest that you get familiar with it because it is at the very heart of the struggle we see today carrying out in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and others. These folks are all the descendants of Ishmael and the Bible has this to say about Ishmael;

¹¹ The angel of the LORD also said to her:
“You are now pregnant
and you will give birth to a son.
You shall name him Ishmael,
for the LORD has heard of your misery.
¹² He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone’s hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
toward all his brothers.”

That sure seems to be playing out today!! These Arabs simply can't stand each other! They blow each other up, they rape, mutilate and torture each other and they certainly have been living in hostility towards his brothers (Isaac's descendants are the Jews).

A reader sent me more evidence of why there will NEVER be peace in the Middle East until Jesus returns and sets all things straight.

These excerpts are from a 12th grade text book taught in public schools in Saudi Arabia;

What Has God Got to do With it?

Scientist at the big particle collider are trying to figure out the huge mystery of what holds all the atoms together in the universe? They don't know what it is and they certainly can't explain it.

You and I know that it is the creative power of Jesus Christ that holds all things together...because the Bible says so. "In Him and through Him all things were made." But of course most scientists have no time for God.

So it is interesting that the top headline on Google News today is a discussion about the "God particle". Notice the disdain and disgust that these learned men and women have for any discussion of a higher power.

"I hate that 'God particle' term," said Pauline Gagnon, a Canadian member of CERN's ATLAS team of so-called "Higgs hunters" - an epithet they do not reject.

"The Higgs is not endowed with any religious meaning. It is ridiculous to call it that," she told Reuters at a news conference after her colleagues revealed growing evidence, albeit not yet proof, of the particle's existence.

Oliver Buchmueller, from the rival research team CMS, was a little less trenchant.

"Calling it the 'God particle' is completely inappropriate," said the German physicist, who divides his time between CERN and teaching at London's Imperial College.

"It's not doing justice to the Higgs and what we think its role in the universe is. It has nothing to do with God."

Netanyahu to Start Bible Study in His Home

It appears that Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu is going to be hosting a Bible study in his home. For prophecy watchers every where this could be a significant event as we know that the Bible says that the nation of Israel will begin to turn back to God in the last days.

"Taking a page out of David Ben-Gurion and Menachem Begin's playbook, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will begin hosting a regular Bible study group in his official residence for researchers, public officials and invited guests, "reports the Post. "Netanyahu announced the establishment of the study circle on Friday at a ceremony marking 30 days since the passing of his father-in-law, Shmuel Ben-Artzi. The study group will be named after Ben-Artzi, a noted poet and Bible teacher. Both Ben-Gurion and Begin, when they each served as prime minister, hosted regular Bible study groups. Netanyahu said he was establishing the class to perpetuate love of the Bible."

This is an excellent step by the Prime Minister, and he should be commended for it. Indeed, let us pray that the study of the Word of God has a powerful, personal impact on the Prime Minister and his family and each of his colleagues and guests. Let's pray that many Israelis would follow the Prime Minister's lead and begin reading the Holy Scriptures again, and that Bible studies in people's homes would spring up all over the Land of Israel.

Such a national reawakening to the importance of the Scriptures has happened before in Israel's history. Remember men like Nehemiah, Ezra, Josiah, and Joel? These were beloved governors, priests, kings and prophets whom the Lord used to turn the Jewish people back to the Scriptures and the need for national and individual prayer, fasting and repentance. One of my favorite examples is found in 2 Kings 22. I'd encourage you to read it afresh, for it is the remarkable story of King Josiah.

At the age of 8, Josiah took the throne. When he was 18, he instructed the temple to be cleaned and renovated. In so doing, he learned that a long forgotten copy of the Scriptures had been found in the temple. Indeed, someone brought him the dusty scrolls and read the Word to the king. "When the king heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes" in repentance for all of Israel's sinful ways, and his own. Then the king commanded Hilkiah the priest and several other servants, "Go, inquire of the Lord for me and the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for great is the wrath of the Lord that burns against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us."

In 2 Kings 23, then, comes the equally amazing story of King Josiah gathering all the people of Israel tand reading the Word of the Lord to them. Together, convicted of their own sins, they chose to make a covenant before the Lord to obey His all of His commandments. "Before him," the Bible says, "there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his might, according to the law of Moses; nor did any like him arise after him." Let us pray that Israel once again experience a national renaissance of hunger for the Word of the Lord. Amen.

Obama Asks for His Toy Plane Back

As you probably know by now the U.S. Military lost one of its spy drone planes over Iran. It is unclear whether it was shot down or just lost radio contact with its operator and simply came down. However it happened it is now very clear to the world that Iran has our top secret drone. They are proudly showing video of their military generals standing by the captured drone.

The fear with them getting the drone is that they will be able to reverse engineer the drone which is using our top secret advanced technology and end up using it for their spy purposes.

Obama is well aware of this...so he has gone on record saying that he has asked Iran if they would give us the drone back. Oooooooo!! Scary talk!!!!!!

"We've asked for it back," President Obama said of the spy plane, according to an Agence-France Press report. "We'll see how the Iranians respond."

If the USA was truly a super power we would TELL IRAN, "Give us our flippin' drone back within 24 hours or we are going to make it rain laser guided missiles directly on your Mullah's heads." They would say this very quietly and deliver the message via European diplomats...and then they would be prepared to take someone out if Iran didn't comply.

But of course President Obama promised to apologize to the world for all of our military strength believing that would make the USA more liked by the rest of the world. What he doesn't seem to grasp is that he is making us appear weak and impotent and emboldening our enemies to taunt us and attack us and then brag about their taunts all over the world.

Our weakness is preparing the world for a major war because all the players of the world can sense the power vacuum that America's demise is creating....and they are getting prepared to seize the day and climb to the top of hill once we fall off of it.

Iran Will Strike Turkey

We have been watching for Iran and Turkey to grow closer as the Ezekiel 38 coalition continues to be set up....and Iran and Turkey are two of the main players.

So this article that reports of Iran tough talking against Turkey seems to be a step back when it comes to the unfolding prophecy of Iran, Turkey and Russian drawing closer in a military alliance that will one day attack Israel. When that happens, God will fight for Israel and will utterly destroy the coalition without Israel firing a shot in defense.

An Iranian security official said that Iran would "definitely" strike NATO positions in Turkey if it were attacked, according to a Monday report by the Turkish daily Hurriyet.

“We are closely monitoring the relations with Turkey in the National Security Commission of the parliament. Iran has warned Turkey before that the deployment of the system will have grave consequences." said Hossein Ibrahimi, vice-chairman of the Iranian parliament’s national security and foreign policy commission.
Tehran has made clear its displeasure at Turkey's September decision to deploy a NATO missile early warning system, which Iran sees as a US ploy to protect Israel from any counter-attack should the Jewish state target Iran's nuclear facilities.

Once-warm relations between Iran and Turkey have been strained this year due to the missile shield and Ankara's outspoken criticism of Syrian President Bashar Assad's violent crackdown on popular unrest.

Syria Arms Missile with Chemical Warhead

The Syrian regime, which has endured nine months of civil unrest spurred by the Arab Spring as it swept across the Middle East, has armed its medium-range missile arsenal with chemical warheads.

According to a report published by the Sabah daily Sunday, Damascus armed 600 one-ton chemical warheads to use in the event of a foreign military intervention. Furthermore, President Bashar al-Assad ordered the deployment of 21 missile launchers along its border with Turkey. Syria’s medium-range missiles that can be equipped with chemical warheads have a range of up to 1,300 kilometers and would include the southern and central provinces of Turkey.

According to the daily, the Syrian military keeps its stockpile of chemical warheads in secret facilities in and around the capital city of Damascus.

Wow! So the stockpiles of weapons are in and around Damascus....which would give Israel a VERY good reason to destroy Damascus.

Newt Tells the Truth About Palestinians

Newt Gingrich told the exact truth about the Palestinian people...mainly that they are an invented people and have never been anything more than a bunch of Arabs.

Britain Chooses Isolation

The Euro Union got together in one last ditch effort to formulate a plan to stop their break up and Britain decided they just couldn't be a part of it. Needless to say, Britain is now the odd man out...and it won't be comfortable for them being in Europe anymore.

After the deed was done, some leaders didn't want to shake his hand. French President Nicolas Sarkozy walked right by him, as if he wasn't there.

David Cameron, the British prime minister, had become Europe's outcast.

His sin? Rejecting an invitation to join 26 European partners in a tighter financial alliance to save the euro, making Britain odd man out at a time of deep financial peril, and raising doubts about whether Britain can realistically remain a member of the European Union.

"There is now little point in Britain staying in the EU," said MacShane, who was a minister in Tony Blair's generally pro-Europe Labour Party government. "It is an historic turning point and Britain might as well get out now, as Europe's future will be settled without us."

Unprecedented prosperity has flowed from its single market and its free movement of workers across borders. Integration accelerated in the past two decades with the development of a single currency, but now the euro's survival is under threat as the continent's debt woes spin out of control.

The EU is today so intertwined that even member countries like Britain that do not use the euro would plunge into deep and prolonged recession if the currency broke up. That's a sobering reality that helped persuade 26 of 27 member states to consider big sacrifices of national sovereignty to keep the European dream alive.

Ahh yes....let's keep that dream alive! The dream of no more wars, the dream of borrowing money and never having to pay it back, the dream that Germans care as much for Greeks as they care about their own country, the dream that you can control your country when some other central bank controls your currency and essentially your budget. That Can't Happen....This is America!!

Many times in the past years I have mentioned to people in the financial industry that I believe this country could collapse for a variety of reasons. Many times the response to my comment will be, "Well that can never happen here." When I ask them why they believe a U.S. collapse could never happen they say, "Because this is America!"

It's almost as if we have been drinking the America Kool-Aid for so long that we have started to believe that we are the biggest, best, richest, freest, most awesome nation on God's green earth....and NOTHING is EVER going to change that.

Really? Could God take us down if He wills it??

So today I ran across this article quoting Jim Rogers who is a billionaire investor in a bow tie who was being interviewed on Glenn Beck TV.

“Jim, economic collapse with the euro: will that lead to a recession?” asks Glenn Beck.

“That will lead to the end of the world as we know it,” answers Jim Rogers, founder of Rogers International Commodities Index. “That will certainly lead to the end of the world as Washington D.C. knows it. There’s no question about that.”

But who is Jim Rogers and what does he know about the global financial situation?

For those unfamiliar with Beck’s guest, Jim Rogers is a famous American investor who, along with George Soros, founded the Quantum Fund, one of the world’s first international funds. Also, as mentioned above, he is the creator of the Rogers International Commodities Index.

The conversation then turned to the topic of gold and the importance the precious metal may play in the near future.

“Everybody knows what that [gold] is. You’ll be able to sell it, barter it you have to, if it gets this bad,” said Rogers.

But what could create conditions bad enough to force someone to have to barter gold?

A total financial collapse.

Beck asked Rogers to explain difference between a recession, a depression, and the much-feared total collapse.

“Well, a recession is when your neighbor loses his job and a depression is when you lose your job. And collapse is when nobody has a job and there are people foraging in the streets; happened in Argentina 10 years ago, happened in Germany in the early 20s—“

“But it’ll never happen here. This is the United States of America!” Beck interjected.

At that point, for both the host and the guest, trying to keep a straight face became an exercise in futility.

No Longer Israel's Ally

If you are not familiar with Caroline Glick then you should be. She is a conservative writer for the Jerusalem Post and really has a knack for telling it like it is. Her column from a few days ago is so good that I will post it in it's entirety here. Pay attention to the last sentence of her article where she clearly says, "Under Obama, the U.S. is no longer Israel's ally."

Of course Bible readers will understand that if the USA is no longer going to be a blessing to Israel.....then the blessings could soon be removed from our country...or we could simply disappear.

With vote tallies in for Egypt's first round of parliamentary elections in it is abundantly clear that Egypt is on the fast track to becoming a totalitarian Islamic state. The first round of voting took place in Egypt's most liberal, cosmopolitan cities. And still the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists received more than 60 percent of the vote. Run-off elections for 52 seats will by all estimates increase their representation.

And then in the months to come, Egyptian voters in the far more Islamist Nile Delta and Sinai will undoubtedly provide the forces of jihadist Islam with an even greater margin of victory.

Until the US-supported overthrow of Hosni Mubarak, Egypt served as the anchor of the US alliance system in the Arab world. The Egyptian military is US-armed, US-trained and US-financed. The Suez Canal is among the most vital waterways in the world for the US Navy and the global economy. Due to Mubarak's commitment to stemming the tide of jihadist forces that threatened his regime, under his rule Egypt served as a major counter-terror hub in the US-led war against international jihad.

GIVEN EGYPT'S singular importance to US strategic interests in the Arab world, the Obama administration's response to the calamitous election results has been shocking. Rather than sound the alarm bells, US President Barack Obama has celebrated the results as a victory for "democracy."

Rather than warn Egypt that it will face severe consequences if it completes its Islamist transformation, the Obama administration has turned its guns on the first country that will pay a price for Egypt's Islamic revolution: Israel.

Speaking at the annual policy conclave in Washington sponsored by the leftist Brookings Institute's Saban Center for Middle East Policy, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hammered Israel, the only real ally the US has left in the Middle East after Mubarak's fall. Clinton felt it necessary - in the name of democracy - to embrace the positions of Israel's radical Left against the majority of Israelis.

The same Secretary of State that has heralded negotiations with the violent, fanatical misogynists of the Taliban; who has extolled Saudi Arabia where women are given ten lashes for driving, and whose State Department trained female-hating Muslim Brotherhood operatives in the lead-up to the current elections in Egypt accused Israel of repressing women's rights. The only state in the region where women are given full rights and legal protections became the focus of Clinton's righteous feminist wrath.

In the IDF, as in the rest of the country, religious coercion is forbidden. Jewish law prohibits men from listening to women's voices in song. And recently, when a group of religious soldiers were presented with an IDF band that featured female vocalists, keeping faith with their Orthodox observance, they walked out of the auditorium. The vocalists were not barred from singing. They were not mistreated. They were simply not listened to.

And as far as Clinton is concerned, this is proof that women in Israel are under attack. Barred by law from forcing their soldiers to spurn their religious obligations, IDF commanders were guilty of crimes against democracy for allowing the troops to exit the hall.

Clinton didn't end her diatribe with the IDF's supposed war against women. She continued her onslaught by proclaiming that Israel is taking a knife to democracy by permitting its legislators to legislate laws that she doesn't like. The legislative initiatives that provoked the ire of the US Secretary of State are the bills now under discussion which seek to curtail the ability of foreign governments to subvert Israel's elected government by funding non-representative, anti-Israel political NGOs like B'Tselem and Peace Now.

In attacking Israel in the way she did, Clinton showed that she holds Israel to a unique standard of behavior. Whereas fellow Western democracies are within their rights when they undertake initiatives like banning Islamic headdresses from the public square, Israel is a criminal state for affording Jewish soldiers freedom of religion. Whereas the Taliban, who enslave women and girls in the most unspeakable fashion are worthy interlocutors, and the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, which supports universal female genital mutilation is moderate, Israel is an enemy of democracy for seeking to preserve the government's ability to adopt policies that advance the country's interests.

The unique standard to which Clinton holds the Jewish state is the standard of human perfection.

And as far as she is concerned, if Israel is not perfect, then it is unworthy of support. And since Israel, as a nation of mere mortals can never be perfect, it is necessarily always guilty.

CLINTON'S ASSAULT on Israeli democracy and society came a day after Panetta attacked Israel's handling of its strategic challenges. Whereas Clinton attacked Israel's moral fiber, Panetta judged Israel responsible for every negative development in the regional landscape.

Panetta excoriated Israel for not being involved in negotiations with the Palestinians. Israel, he said must make new concessions to the Palestinians in order to convince them of its good faith. If Israel makes such gestures, and the Palestinians and the larger Islamic world spurn them, then Panetta and his friends will side with Israel, he said.

Panetta failed to notice that Israel has already made repeated, unprecedented concessions to the Palestinians and that the Palestinians have pocketed those concessions and refused to negotiate. And he failed to notice that in response to the repeated spurning of its concessions by the Palestinians and the Arab world writ large, rather than stand with Israel, the US and Europe expanded their demands for further Israeli concessions.

Panetta demanded that Israel make renewed gestures as well to appease the Egyptians, Turks and Jordanians. He failed to notice that it was Turkey's Islamist government, not Israel, that took a knife to the Turkish-Israeli strategic alliance.

As for Egypt, rather than recognize the strategic implications for the US and Israel alike of Egypt's transformation into an Islamic state, the US Defense Secretary demanded that Israel ingratiate itself with Egypt's military junta. Thanks in large part to the Obama administration, that junta is now completely beholden to the Muslim Brotherhood.

As for Jordan, again thanks to the US's support for the Muslim Brotherhood and its aligned groups in Libya and Tunisia, the Hashemite regime is seeking to cut a deal with the Jordanian branch of the movement in a bid to save itself from Mubarak's fate. Under these circumstances, there is no gesture that Israel can make to its neighbor to the east that would empower King Abdullah to extol the virtues of peace with the Jewish state.

Then there is Iran, and its nuclear weapons program.

Panetta argued that an Israeli military strike against Iran would lead to regional war. But he failed to mention that a nuclear armed Iran will lead to nuclear proliferation in the Arab world and exponentially increase the prospect of a global nuclear war.

Rather than face the dangers head on, Panetta's message was that the Obama administration would rather accept a nuclear-armed Iran than support an Israeli military strike on Iran to prevent the mullocracy from becoming a nuclear-armed state.

Clinton's and Panetta's virulently anti-Israeli messages resonated in an address about European anti-Semitism given last week by the US Ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman. Speaking to a Jewish audience, Gutman effectively denied the existence of anti-Semitism in Europe. While attacks against European Jews and Jewish institutions have become a daily occurrence continent-wide, Gutman claimed that non-Muslim anti- Semites are essentially just all-purpose bigots who hate everyone, not just Jews.

As for the Muslims who carry out the vast majority of anti-Jewish attacks in Europe, Gutman claimed they don't have a problem with good Jews like him. They are simply angry because Israel isn't handing over land to the Palestinians quickly enough. If the Jewish state would simply get with Obama's program, according to the US ambassador, Muslim attacks on Jews in Europe would simply disappear.

Gutman of course is not a policymaker. His job is simply to implement Obama's policies and voice the president's beliefs.

But when taken together with Clinton's and Panetta's speeches, Gutman's remarks expose a distressing intellectual and moral trend that clearly dominates the Obama administration's foreign policy discourse. All three speeches share a common rejection of objective reality in favor of a fantasy.

In the administration's fantasy universe, Israel is the only actor on the world stage. Its detractors, whether in the Islamic world or Europe, are mere objects. They are bereft of judgment or responsibility for their actions.

There are two possible explanations for this state of affairs - and they are not mutually exclusive. It is possible that the Obama administration is an ideological echo chamber in which only certain positions are permitted. This prospect is likely given the White House's repeated directives prohibiting government officials from using terms like "jihad," "Islamic terrorism," "Islamist," and "jihadist," to describe jihad, Islamic terrorism, Islamists and jihadists.

Restrained by ideological thought police that outlaw critical thought about the dominant forces in the Islamic world today, US officials have little choice but to place all the blame for everything that goes wrong on the one society they are free to criticize - Israel.

The second possible explanation for the administration's treatment of Israel is that it is permeated by anti-Semitism. The outsized responsibility and culpability placed on Israel by the likes of Obama, Clinton, Panetta and Gutman is certainly of a piece with classical anti-Semitic behavior.

There is little qualitative difference between accusing Israeli society of destroying democracy for seeking to defend itself against foreign political subversion, and accusing Jews of destroying morality for failing to embrace foreign religious faiths.

So too, there is little qualitative difference between blaming Israel for its isolation in the face of the Islamist takeover of the Arab world, and blaming the Jews for the rise of anti-Semites to power in places like Russia, Germany and Norway.

In truth, from Israel's perspective, it really doesn't make a difference whether these statements and the intellectual climate they represent stem from ideological myopia or from hatred of Jews.

The end result is the same in either case: Under President Obama, the US government has become hostile to Israel's national rights and strategic imperatives. Under Obama, the US is no longer Israel's ally.

Prepare for War

China's navy should speed up its development and prepare for warfare, President Hu Jintao has said.

He told military personnel they should "make extended preparations for warfare".

China is locked in territorial disputes with several other nations in the South China Sea. Political tension is also growing with the US, which is seeking to boost its presence in the region.

An order from Gen Mohammed Ali Jaafari, the commander of the guards, raised the operational readiness status of the country’s forces, initiating preparations for potential external strikes and covert attacks.

Western intelligence officials said the Islamic Republic had initiated plans to disperse long-range missiles, high explosives, artillery and guards units to key defensive positions.

The order was given in response to the mounting international pressure over Iran’s nuclear programme. End Times for Euro Zone

The latest plan to delay the collapse of the Euro Zone had the stock markets going up....based 100% on the HOPE that someone could fix things. Don't hold your breath. You can't just borrow billions and then HOPE that someone else comes along and pays back all your debts.... unless a spaceship arrives from Mars bringing bags of money.

-- Italy alone needs 113 billion euros in the first quarter and 300 billion over the full year.

-- European banks need 500 billion euros in the first half of 2012 and 275 billion in the second half.

-- This means they need to raise 230 billion euros per quarter in 2012, versus 132 billion per quarter in 2011.

-- Yet since June 2011, European banks have been only able to raise 17 billion euros, compared to 120 billion in 2010.

Das notes that Europe does not have a liquidity problem that can be solved by cutting the cost of swaps. In other words, you can't just replace private-sector lenders with official lenders such as the ECB, IMF or the Fed.

This incredible scramble for funds is unseemly and should make everyone extremely uncomfortable. These are like loans to a drunk to buy more booze so he can shed the DTs. It's not a solution; it's buying time.

The world is running out of options unless a spaceship arrives from Mars with more money. The time to fix this is long past, and now we just have to figure out how to live with the consequences. To Das, a line from Shakespeare’s tragedy Richard II, is appropriate: "I wasted time, and now time doth waste me."

Remember the Ark of the Covenant that has been lost for about 3000 years and was central to Temple worship in Jerusalem during Solomon's reign?

Well, it's now back in the news.

A very British problem of a leaky church roof could be about to give the world the chance to glimpse the legendary Ark of the Covenant.

That's because the claimed home of the iconic relic - a small chapel in Ethiopia - has sprung a leak and so the Ark could now be on the move.

The Ark - which The Bible says holds God's Ten Commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai - is said to have been kept in Aksum, in the Chapel of the Tablet, adjacent to St Mary of Zion Church, since the 1960s.

According to the Old Testament, it was first kept in the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem for centuries until a Babylonian invasion in the 6th century BC.

No one has been allowed to see the holy object, described in scripture as being made from acacia wood, plated with gold and topped with two golden angels, except one solitary elderly monk, who must watch over the Ark for the remainder of his life, and is never allowed to leave the chapel grounds.

But now the chapel - which was designed by the Ethiopian leader Emperor Hailie Selassie - has had to be covered in a tarpaulin to stop rain getting in.

The water damage could mean the Ark will be moved for the first time in decades giving religious worshippers and adventurers alike a chance to see it.

Of course we don't know if this is truly THEE Ark....but it is an interesting headline all the same.

The Jews believe that the Ark will be recovered in the Last Days as the Messiah approaches.

The Muslims believe that the 12th Imam (Mahdi) will recover the Ark when he returns to earth to dominate all non-Muslims and usher in Sharia Law all over the world.

One thing for sure....Billions of people worldwide believe SOMETHING EPIC is going on. We just need to hold on to the firm foundation of Jesus Christ and stay focused on ETERNAL things...because the temporal things of this earth are passing away and will soon be revealed as the mist that they actually are. $250 Oil

When oil is about $100 per barrel, gasoline costs $3 to $4 per gallon here in America. So we can only guess that if oil went to $250 per barrel that gasoline would probably cost $7 to $8 dollars a gallon or more. No doubt if that happened it could crush the anemic economic recovery that so many believe is happening in America....and could very easily shove us off the abyss as it would bring retail and manufacturing prices of goods to a place we have never seen.

But the US Secretary of Defense has decided to scold Israel for not reaching out to make peace.

I wonder if Panetta shouldn't be scolding all the Muslim states who refuse to recognize the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state?

I also wonder how close the line is between "scolding" and "cursing". If we start cursing Israel....it seems pretty clear by reading Genesis that God will soon be cursing us.

Islamist parties are expected to control Cairo's parliament by the spring with the Muslim Brotherhood projected to be in the driver's seat.

Judges overseeing the vote count in Egypt's parliamentary elections say Islamist parties have won a majority of the contested seats in the first round. The judges spoke on condition of anonymity because official results are expected to be released later Thursday.

They say the Muslim Brotherhood could take 45 percent of the seats up for grabs. The liberal Egyptian bloc coalition and the ultra-fundamentalist Nour party are competing for second place.

Together, Islamist parties are expected to control a majority of parliamentary seats by March. This week's vote was the first of six stages of parliamentary elections that will last until then.

Continued success by Islamists will allow them to give Cairo's government and constitution a decidedly Islamist character. It could also lead Cairo to shift away from the West towards the Iranian axis.

Maybe A Good Time for Isaiah 17?

Remember that Isaiah 17 clearly tells of a day when Damascus will be destroyed. Many prophecy watchers believe it will be at the hands of the Israeli military.

The headline today telling of Iranian and North Korean military experts all meeting with the Syrians in Damascus may be perfect timing for Israel to make a strike on Damascus.

The saying, "killing two birds with one stone" would sure come into play if they did.

Dozens of officials from North Korea and Iran have conducted meetings with representatives of the Syrian government in Damascus to help president Bashar al-Assad obtain weapons following the implementation of sanctions by members of the Arab League and other countries.

The meetings have been taking place in recent days, and were attended by experts in the production of rockets, according to Kuwaiti daily al-Seyassah, citing unnamed intelligence sources.

"The Syrian regime is afraid of losing power so is asking help from these two allies to put in place whatever means are necessary, even if it causes many deaths," an intelligence source told the newspaper. "The only way to stop further bloodshed is for foreign intervention."

I have a pretty good idea that Jesus is paying more on our deposits that Wells Fargo is paying on savings accounts...which is .15% Yes you heard that right..."point one five percent". That means that if you had $1,000,000 sitting in a savings account, that Wells Fargo would pay you $1,500 per year in interest. So you can see that even the millionaires aren't buying too many trips to Walt Disney World on that kind of ching.

"But Dennis...how about silver and gold?? Surely that will save us from the looming disaster."

Another Mysterious Blast Rocks Iran

A few weeks ago there was a huge blast in Iran that was said to be caused by missile scientists cooking up some new missiles. In that explosion the top General of Missile development was killed along with a few dozen others. Iran said it was caused by their mistakes....but some said it was Israel and/or the USA who had sabotaged the military facility to slow the development of Iran's nuclear missile program.

Yesterday there was another explosion in Iran at a military facility. This one is also being called mysterious.

Report: Mysterious blast in Iran's Isfahan damaged key nuclear site

London Times quotes Israel intelligence officials as saying that satellite images show this week's reported blast in Isfahan was 'no accident.'

According to reports by the semi-official Fars news agency, frightened residents called the fire department after the blast, forcing the city authorities to admit there had been an explosion. Residents reported that their windows shook from the explosion's force.

At first, Iranian officials denied the reports, with the governor of Isfahan later alleging that the blast was caused by an accident that had occurred during a nearby military drill.

However, a report in the Times on Wednesday alleged that the blast had not been a military accident, and that the city's nuclear facility was damaged.

The report quotes Israeli intelligence officials who based their conclusion on updated satellite images showing smoke billowing from the direction of the conversion plant.

According to the Israeli sources, there was "no doubt" that the blast had damaged the nuclear facility, and that the explosion was not an "accident."

Is it possible that the attacks against Iran have already started? Is it possible that Israel is going to take out Iran's nuclear capability one huge explosion at a time using some form of sabotage or weaponized computer viruses rather than using conventional warfare tactics of planes and bombs?

Of course it is totally possible. What better way to silence Iran and get them to turn on each other?

If Israel attacks them one day using conventional weapons (which they still may have to) it would rally the Iranian people around their leaders and make overthrowing the regime all the more difficult. Whereas if these explosions are Israel's doing...Iran will be in a difficult spot because they would look like idiots if they admitted that the Jews were blowing up their facilities.

What an exciting time to be alive and watch God's amazing story be played out right before our eyes!

It is being reported that missiles are being moved within Israel in an "unusual" manner. And here (again) are the prophetic parts which mention Jerusalem and Damascus.

JERUSALEM — Multiple eyewitnesses reported seeing Israeli military trucks in recent days transport and station large missiles at the periphery of Jerusalem and in locations inside the West Bank

The descriptions of the projectiles are consistent with the Jewish state’s mid-to-long range Jericho ballistic missiles.

The missile movement, if confirmed, would be considered unusual.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad warned in an interview with a U.K. newspaper earlier this month that foreign intervention in Syria would cause an “earthquake” across the region and create another Afghanistan, while directly threatening the Jewish state.

Assad reportedly made similar comments in a meeting in early October with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu.

He was quoted stating, “If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than six hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv.”

Assad also reportedly warned that “all these events will happen in three hours, but in the second three hours, Iran will attack the U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf and the U.S. and European interests will be targeted simultaneously.”

BEIRUT: A UN investigation has concluded that Syrian forces committed crimes against humanity by killing and torturing hundreds of children, including a 2-year-old girl reportedly shot to death so she wouldn't grow up to be a demonstrator.

The results of the inquiry, released on Monday, added to mounting international pressure on President Bashar Assad, a day after the Arab League approved sweeping sanctions to push his embattled regime to end the violence. Syria's foreign minister called the Arab move "a declaration of economic war" and warned of retaliation.

The report by a U.N. Human Rights Council panel found that at least 256 children were killed by government forces between mid-March and early November, some of them tortured to death

"Torture was applied equally to adults and children," said the assessment, released in Geneva. "Numerous testimonies indicated that boys were subjected to sexual torture in places of detention in front of adult men."

The mask is definitely being pulled off of Syria to reveal how nasty the people in power truly are. Even the other nasty Arab countries have had enough of Syria's crimes and have ordered that Assad step down so that a new government can take over.

Let's remember what Jesus said, "You are either FOR ME or AGAINST ME." So you are either WITH CHRIST or WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE ANTICHRIST.

This news sure adds to the already long list of evidence of why Damascus will be torched. (Isaiah 17) It's going to happen....we just don't know for sure if it will happen before or after the rapture of the church.

Pakistan is Trouble

I remember watching a TV show on PBS about 4 years ago and it was an interview with an ex-ambassador to the U.S. from Pakistan. He was a Harvard educated dude who was VERY familiar with the USA and also VERY familiar with Pakistan. For some reason I have never forgotten the interview because of the seriousness of this guys tone. He made it VERY clear that Pakistan is kind of a keystone to the whole Middle East and Eastern regions...and that if things go haywire in Pakistan it very well could ignite not only the entire Middle East but could also reignite the East.

Let's remember that Pakistan has been in a continuous war with India for over 50 years. They lob shells at each other on the top of some mountain in the Kashmir range...and they have never agreed where the border is on the top of this mountain....so to light this war up again in a big way wouldn't take much.

So today Pakistan is in the news again because it appears that possibly some NATO bombs went astray and killed 24 Pakistani soldiers at some military base. When you join this info with the fact that we took out Osama Bin Laden on Pakistani soil without notifying the Pakistani government.....what he now have is a whole bunch of REALLY MIFFED Pakistani people. What the world DOESN'T need now is more angry Muslims....but that is what we have.

And now they are burning Obama effigies and have shut down the supply lines to Afghanistan that the U.S. military desperately needs to keep our troops supplied.

Hundreds of enraged Pakistanis took to the streets across the country Sunday, burning an effigy of President Barack Obama and setting fire to US flags after 24 soldiers died in NATO air strikes.

The rallies were organised by opposition and right-wing Islamist groups in major cities of the nuclear-armed country of 167 million people, where opposition to the government's US alliance is rampant.

In Karachi, the port city used by the United States to ship supplies to troops fighting in Afghanistan, more than 700 people gathered outside the US consulate, an AFP photographer said.

They shouted: "down with America, stay away Americans, Pakistan is ours, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our army", while Pakistani riot police were deployed near the consulate.

Euro Collapse Would Mean Civil Unrest

We have been wondering for weeks what it would actually mean and what would actually happen if the Euro ends up collapsing. It would be an unprecedented event so there really isn't any history you can look at...so we just keep looking for opinions on what may happen when this scheme comes apart.

As the Italian government struggled to borrow and Spain considered seeking an international bail-out, British ministers privately warned that the break-up of the euro, once almost unthinkable, is now increasingly plausible.

Diplomats are preparing to help Britons abroad through a banking collapse and even riots arising from the debt crisis.

The Treasury confirmed earlier this month that contingency planning for a collapse is now under way.

A senior minister has now revealed the extent of the Government’s concern, saying that Britain is now planning on the basis that a euro collapse is now just a matter of time.

If eurozone governments defaulted on their debts, the European banks that hold many of their bonds would risk collapse.

Some analysts say the shock waves of such an event would risk the collapse of the entire financial system, leaving banks unable to return money to retail depositors and destroying companies dependent on bank credit.

The Financial Services Authority this week issued a public warning to British banks to bolster their contingency plans for the break-up of the single currency.

Some economists believe that at worst, the outright collapse of the euro could reduce GDP in its member-states by up to half and trigger mass unemployment.

Analysts at UBS, an investment bank earlier this year warned that the most extreme consequences of a break-up include risks to basic property rights and the threat of civil disorder.

Today we have a few headlines about Israel. The first one is that Israel may shut off power and water to the Gaza strip if the Palestinians continue to seek unification with Hamas.

The threats were issued by Danny Ayalon, Israel's deputy foreign minister, on Israeli Radio on Saturday in response to a recent meeting between Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian Authority, and Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal in Cairo.

Mr Ayalon claimed a deal with the extremist faction would turn the Palestinian Authority into "an authority of terrorism and this would block any hope of reaching any peace agreement with Israel".

And the other news is that of Iran claiming that 150,000 missiles are pointed at Israel.

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said that Iran has up to 150,000 missiles pointed at Israel, according to the semi-official Iranian FARS news agency.

According to the report, Vahidi questioned threats against the Islamic Republic from the Jewish State, asking "How many missiles have they prepared themselves for? 10,000? 20,000? 50,000? 100,000, 150,000 or more?"

So most of us could barely get our turkey digested in our guts following the Thanksgiving feast but yet we had to run to the stores to start shopping for Jesus' birthday...and what a shopping day it was!! Pepper spraying, fist fights, stampedes, riots and anarchy ruled the day as people looked to save money and buy more crap that most of us don't need....all in the name of Jesus?

The start of the US holiday shopping season was marred by shootings and pepper-sprayings as bargain-hunters stampeded stores.

The violence gave a whole new meaning to Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving when many retailers move out of the red and into the black.

The incidents, including at least two robberies, mostly took place at branches of the store chain Walmart.

Half of the entire US population is expected to hit the shops this weekend.

Many stores had crowds rushing in as they opened at midnight - several hours earlier than they usually do - on the busiest shopping day of the year.

A man was reportedly detained for resisting arrest after a fight at the jewellery counter in the early hours at a Walmart in Kissimmee, Florida

Police are looking for two suspects after gunfire erupted early on Friday at a shopping centre in Fayetteville, North Carolina; there were no reports of injuries

Security workers reportedly used pepper spray on shoppers who began grabbing at goods before they were unloaded from pallets at a Walmart in Kinston, North Carolina

A woman was shot in the foot by a robber as she loaded her purchases into her car in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; the gunman fled as one of the victim's companions brandished a revolver and fired warning shots
