Bring Out the BunkerBusters

Russia keeps arming the Arabs and the USA keeps arming Israel...and the Arabs. It's just that the USA tries to keep Israel using the 2nd latest equipment...while we only sell the Arabs the 3rd latest equipment...thereby keeping Israel in the technological lead.

Today's headline makes it sound like Israel is in Washington D.C. (today) asking if they can get their hands on some of the latest BunkerBuster bombs....made to destroy stuff deep underground...like buried nuclear reactors?? Or maybe the bunker that Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs would flee to if an air assault on Iran commenced??

The recent Russian ballistic missile sale to Syria and the arms deal between the US and Saudi Arabia, have Israel seeking to widen the technological gap in warfare between the IDF and Arab militaries.

Jerusalem is optimistic and believes Washington will agree to meet previously declined demands for advanced weaponry, such as "bunker busters" – bombs which are designed to penetrate hardened undergound targets – such as bunkers, as implied by their name – as well as advanced cruise missiles.

Such explosives may one day be used in a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Now pay close attention to this paragraph;

Barak's people said that despite recent tensions between Israel and the US regarding the questions of settlement freeze and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, the two countries remain close and friendly, especially on matters of defense, which Barak's people believe will now translate into meeting Israel's weaponry requests.

Let's hope that this paragraph is true...and that we are remaining close and friendly to Israel...especially on matters of defense. Because I agree with Michelle Bachmann, that the day we start crossing and cursing Israel will be about the day that America ceases to exist.

What a messed up world we live in....where the greatest technology research goes to develop ever better ways for weapons to kill human beings...and the USA is the leading developer, purveyor and user of these tools.

It will be nice when Jesus is sitting on the throne ruling with an iron rod...so we can melt our swords and trade them in for farm equipment....and the crops will grow so fast that the harvester will follow the planter. (Isaiah)
