If You Believe This.....
The Palestinian leadership is saying that they will not start a war with Israel because they want to negotiate with peace.
Sure...that may be what the leader of Fatah, Mahmoud Abbas, is saying but we wonder what the leaders of Hamas are saying that brutally murdered the members of Fatah and chased them running and screaming out of Gaza...and are now launching missiles in Israel from Gaza.
Palestinians will not launch a war against Israel if progress is not made in the peace process, PA President Mahmoud Abbas said in an interview with Channel 2 on Friday night.
"We have to negotiate with the Israelis peacefully," he explained. "This is our ideology. This is our mentality. This is the culture of the Palestinians. We are not ready to turn back to violence."

Achieving statehood at the UN will not mean that the Palestinians will not return to negotiating table with Israel, he added.
Addressing questions diplomats have raised regarding the Palestinian Authority's power in Gaza, Abbas said that the PA and Hamas have signed an agreement and are working together.
"We cannot deny that Hamas is a part of the Palestinian people," he said. "Whether they accept [Israel] or not, they are our opposition. Every country around the world has an opposition, right?"

That's funny!...every country has an opposition?? Does every country have a party that routinely pulls out guns and grenades and starts murdering their opposition? When was the last time the Republicans started mudering the Democrats?
So sorry, Mr. Abbas....we aren't buying your lame statement that Hamas is simply another peaceful opposition party....and we aren't buying this peaceful suit of clothes that you have temporarily put on.

Hi Dennis,
No I do not believe it. Peace has never been an option.
I quote from the Hamas Charter: "The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement" 18 August 1988.
Article Two: The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of Moslem Brotherhood in Palestine.
Article Eight: Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.
Article Eleven: The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day.... Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void.
Article Thirteen: Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement.
Article Thirty-Six: The Islamic Resistance Movement is Composed of Soldiers: The Islamic Resistance Movement adopts Islam as its way of life. Islam is its creed and religion. Whoever takes Islam as his way of life, be it an organization, a grouping, a country or any other body, the Islamic Resistance Movement considers itself as their soldiers and nothing more.

Hey there,
Here is one for your blog. 'US no authority to challenge Iran Navy'
A senior Iranian naval commander says the Americans are not in the position to comment on Iran's presence in international waters and the country's naval fleets will continue to sail the high seas.

I find it funny how all that open dialog stuff that our current administration spun the last round of elections has now come back to bite them.
They look like clowns being pushed around in the middle east media.
Peace,
Tom
