Cairo Speech

At my first glance through Obama's speech delivered today....I could not find any reference calling for the division of Jerusalem to be used as a Palestinian capital. That's pretty good news for those of us Americans who would like to avoid being on the wrong side of God.

So I am not going to rip apart his speech too much. He did have some good statements and he had some pretty stupid ones. Here is a good one;

America's strong bonds with Israel are well known. This bond is unbreakable. It is based upon cultural and historical ties, and the recognition that the aspiration for a Jewish homeland is rooted in a tragic history that cannot be denied.

In the above paragraph, he gives a backhand to Ahmadinejad and those who deny the Holocaust. He also announces that we will stand with Israel and the bond is unbreakable. That's good...if he means it.

Here's a stupid one;

I understand those who protest that some countries have weapons that others do not. No single nation should pick and choose which nations hold nuclear weapons. That is why I strongly reaffirmed America's commitment to seek a world in which no nations hold nuclear weapons.

"Yes, and if I am elected Miss America I promise to stop global hunger and make sure no dogs are ever killed at any humane society." Come on Obama....do you truly believe that America is going to spend a lot of time, effort and money to get rid of all nukes?

Here is another stupid one;

Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance. We see it in the history of Andalusia and Cordoba during the Inquisition. I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today. People in every country should be free to choose and live their faith based upon the persuasion of the mind, heart, and soul. This tolerance is essential for religion to thrive, but it is being challenged in many different ways.

Yeah, right. Everywhere Islam went, it killed the inhabitants and took over. Read your history books of what happened to all the Christians in the middle east once Muhammad got on a roll.

And just two more stupid comments;

And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.

Mr. Obama....Jefferson had the Koran in his library because he wanted to study his enemies before he went and attacked the Muslim pirates on the Barbary coast.....he CERTAINLY was not reading it as a holy book....that's a fact.

Potentially the most damaging to this Christian nation, spoken by a self proclaimed Christian President on Muslim land is this;

All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer.

We need to pray for our president, because if he claims to be a Christian but believes that Moses, Muhammad and Jesus joined in prayer according to some made up story that is NO WHERE in his Christian bible....we may all be held accountable.

Oops...I just realized I said I wasn't going to rip his speech...and now I realized that I pretty much did.
