ELCA Questions Bible

By now, we all have heard the news that the ELCA approved the ordination of partnered homosexuals. I'm not quite sure what that means....but that would be for another discussion.

The same bishop, who for years has been pushing for gay-rights in the ELCA, had this to say today;

In a town hall meeting Sunday, Bishop Mark Hanson said, "the understanding we have of homosexuality today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the biblical writers." Therefore, he said, Lutherans should consider more modern views on sexual orientation.

I wonder what will be next on the questioning list for the ELCA?? Maybe they should look to more modern views on pornography, bestiality or multiple spouses?
