Perfect Storm

Many people ask me if I regularly watch Glenn Beck on Fox. I have to truthfully answer, "no", since we don't have cable. However, I am very familiar with who he is and happen to believe he is pretty right on with what he sees coming for this country.

Today I ran across a Youtube clip of GB from his show that aired last week. In this show he talks about the perfect storm that seems to be set to explode on America. He talks about Mideast turmoil, energy, social unrest, borders, economy, etc.... and mentions how these storm clouds are all hovering over America and if any of them go off....it could be the end of USA.

He then asks if he thinks that an election in November, where we throw some Republicans or Tea Party into the Congress, is going to fix anything. Of course we all know that the election isn't going to fix any of our long term problems....it may prevent the explosion for a little while....but the explosion is still coming.

So what is Glenn Beck's answer to the ONLY way that we are going to solve this perfect storm?

GOD!

See it here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8oSd78i2lU

This is amazing to me that you have a major "News" show on Fox News and the commentator is saying that the only answer to fix our problems is God.

The only thing that would have made it even more amazing is if he had said "Jesus Christ".

How does that verse go?..., "If you will humble yourselves and seek my face, then I will hear your prayers in heaven and will heal your land."

How many Americans do you think are doing what God prescribed? Probably not many.

Glenn Beck is right. God is the only answer. Without Him we may all lose the freedom that God granted this great nation.

I was just watching his show and he is talking about Bible prophecy and how the Muslims have a false prophecy and how their view is a “flip” of Biblical prophecy. GB has doing his Bible prophecy homework. This very second I am watching it and boy he is telling it like it needs to be said.

I don't agree with what he believes as a Mormon, but He is making some great points and doesn't seem afraid to say them.

He is airing a segment for a few days called Restoring Honor. I’m sure that it will show up on You Tube in the next few days.

Thank you Dennis for your blog. It is helping me keep up with what is happening to the world through the "lens of the Bible"

Keep up the good work

On a comfortable, sunny day in the nation's capital, the predominantly white crowd at the National Mall, many dressed in American-flag inspired shirts and caps, soaked it all up and occasionally broke into chants of "USA. USA." Organizers had a permit for a gathering of 300,000, the AP said, and it appeared that was close to the mark. But the National Park Service no longer provides estimates for the size of crowds at the many rallies on the Mall.

Beck said what was happening at his rally had nothing to do with politics "and everything to do with God." The crowd, many clutching American flags, spilled from the Lincoln Memorial nearly a mile all way to the Washington Monument. "Something that is beyond man is happening," Beck said, said. "America today begins to turn back to God."

St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa introduced star player Albert Pujols, who won the Hope award for his foundation which helps people with Down syndrome. Pujols, who also aids the poor in the Dominican Republic, said he was happy to have the chance "to share the gospel of Jesus Christ."

Many were moved, particularly by Beck's focus on the spiritual. "I'm a Christian," said Diane Gibson of Natchitoches, La. Her husband, Jim, said that the only way to "bring America back together" was "to turn back to Christ." While Diane said it was not about Democrats or Republicans, many at the event have been active in conservative politics and said they have attended Tea Party movement rallies.
Todd Burek of San Antonio, Texas, who traveled to Washington four times in the last year for demonstrations, found the day "pretty inspiring," and hoped some of Beck's inspiration would rub off on son Matthew, 7. Burek said, "Our country is headed in the wrong direction, away from the values our founders put in place." He called Martin Luther King "an American hero" and felt the presence of King's niece proved he would have approved of Beck. "Contrary to what they say," Burek said, "Beck is a good person who believes in what he says."

"OUR FOCUS IS GOD. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO PUT BECK UP ON A PEDISTAL. HE'S SAYING A LOT OF GOOD THINGS BUT WE NEED BE DISCERNING. IM NOT SAYING THAT BECK IS THE ANTICHRIST BUT WE ARE IN A WAR THAT'S CAN BE 99% TRUTH AND 1% ERROR." ~April

1 John 4:1-3
BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man and has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];
And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would [a]annul, destroy, [b]sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [[c]nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world.
