Perfect Iranian Storm

And here is the headline that really knocks you upside your Biblical head;

Iran to hold Opec presidency for first time in 36 years

Iran will assume the presidency of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) for the first time in 36 years.

The country's oil minister was elected as Opec president at a one-day meeting of the group, which is made up of 12 oil producing states.

Iran, which takes over from Ecuador, is Opec's second-largest oil producer and holds about 10% of world oil reserves.

See it here; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11542840

Hmmmm.....let's review; we have a country who wants to destroy Israel and America and openly announces their plans to do so....who will soon have a nuclear bomb....who control the Straight of Hormuz of which 40% of earth's oil moves through....who believe that their role is to cause chaos to prepare the path for the 12th Imam....who just got a serious foothold in Lebanon....who deny the Holocaust...and are now going to have the presidency of OPEC.

Sounds good!! What could possibly go wrong?? (insert scene here of scarecrow whistling as he skips down sidewalk with Dorothy, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Toto)

Hat tip again to Tom.

Hi Dennis,

Here are a few additional pieces for your blog...

Young Nasrallah: Iranian Control 'Axiomatic' you have to watch the video here... 3 minutes

This whole thing has been in planning for a long time.

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/140099

In the speech shown on video, Hizbullah head Hassan Nasrallah described his organization's ties to Iran as “axiomatic.” Iran's Imam Khomeini is the “rightful deputy” of the Mahdi, the redeemer promised in Shiite Islam, Nasrallah said.

It is an exciting time. There will soon be a “large-scale security incident” involving Lebanon and Israel, according to the Iranian weekly paper Sobh-e Sadeq, which is affiliated with Iran's Revolutionary Guards.

I have been doing some time motion projections based on past military engagements in the middle east. I would suspect if Damascus is destroyed in this predicted conflict and the black flag Army begins its march it will take many months before all is in place for the next battle. There just is a great deal of logistics that have to be taken into account.

Shalom,

Hi Tom,
are you saying that Isaiah 17(destruction of Damascus) will happen before the black flag army starts it's march? Is there Islamic prophecy that talks about Damascus being destroyed? In your opinion, would the "next" battle then be Ezekiel 38 or Psalm 83?...or could Isaiah 17 be part of Psalm 83?

Hi Dennis,

I can only speculate.

I do see that Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel’s war are separate. I have read so many commentaries on whether Isaiah 17 and Psalm 83 are the same different one before the other. They all have their good points. I do think you can group the following together:

Amos 1-3
Isaiah 17
Jeremiah 49 23:27

I tend to think that the destruction of Damascus is prior to Ezekiel’s war because of the logistics of getting all the players in the area of greater Israel. This is no small task and would require some type of provocation. I would note that some of the countries in Psalm 83 are missing in Ezekiel’s war.

I was watching some lectures about the Mahdi and recall that there is a reference to the Mahdi emerges after ground swallows up a great army. I tend to think this correlates to Ezekiel 39. I will search to get you the reference.

If Isaiah 17 were to transpire in the not too distant future it could be the event that draws out the black flag army.

Here you go.. clear as mud..

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: A man called al-Harith ibn Harrath will come forth from Ma Wara an-Nahr. His army will be led by a man called Mansur who will establish or consolidate things for Muhammad's family as Quraysh consolidated them for the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him). Every believer must help him, or he said: respond to his sermons. (Sunan Abu Dawud 36.4277)

Hadhrat Buraidah (R.A.) says that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "There will be many armies after me. You must join that army [that] [sic] will come from Khurasaan". (Ibn Adi, as quoted by Mufti A.H. Elias and Mohammad Ali ibn Zubair Ali, "Imam Mahdi (Descendent of Prophet Muhammad PBUH)")

An expeditionary force will then be sent against him from Syria but will be swallowed up in the desert between Mecca and Medina. When the people see that, the eminent saints of Syria and the best people of Iraq will come to him and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. (Sunan Abu Dawud 36.4273)

Nafi' b. Utba reported: ... I repeat (on the fingers of my hand) that he (Allah's Messenger) said: You will attack Arabia and Allah will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack Persia and He would make you to Conquer it. Then you would attack Rome and AllgLh [sic] will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack the Dajjal and Allah will enable you to conquer him. Nafi' said: Jabir, we thought that the Dajjal would appear after Rome (Syrian territory) would be conquered. (Sahih Muslim 41.6930)
