Insurance Comments

Here is a blurb that a reader sent from the 2011 Property Claims Service....which is kind of an industry newsletter.

A series of major tornado outbreaks in April and May have combined to make 2011 one of the most catastrophic years for severe convective storms ever. Nationally, losses are more than three times their long-term mean for all perils combined, and nearly five times the long-term mean for severe convective storms. April appears to have produced more severe thunderstorm losses in one month alone when compared to typical occurrences during an entire year. Outbreaks occurred along the East Coast, in the Southeast, and Midwest. Some states were hit harder than others, but nearly all states in these regions have experienced losses well in excess of the long-term average.

Wow!  The earth is shaking worse than EVER!  I wonder how many folks are truly going to wake up and turn to the ONLY One who has the power to save??

Do you think your homeowners policy might increase the premium on you next year??

Hat tip to Mike S.
