Why America is Stumbling

It's a fact that while many Americans claim to be Christians, VERY FEW actually know what their Bibles say.  Now let's read a passage from Proverbs 2 and see if we can clearly understand why America seems so lost.

Moral Benefits of Wisdom

¹ My son, if you accept my words  (catch that word "if")   and store up my commands within you,
² turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
³ indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
⁴ and if you look for it as for silver  (how many of us look?) and search for it as for hidden treasure,
⁵ then you will understand the fear of the LORD (fear is the beginning of wisdom)   and find the knowledge of God.
⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
⁷ He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
⁸ for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
⁹ Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
¹⁰ For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
¹¹ Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.
¹² Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
¹³ who have left the straight paths
to walk in dark ways,
¹⁴ who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
¹⁵ whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways.

Wow!  Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and wisdom comes from the Lord, and without it we won't have a clue as to what is actually going on in the world but will simply fall into place with the other wicked and perverse people of planet earth...makes sense!

Also we know the Good Book says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge".  So as you look around America and see millions tuning in to perverse shows every night on broadcast TV, millions spending more time watching sports and could care less what the Word of God says, millions spending more time devouring porn and perversion than time spent with their Creator, millions spending more time partying with drugs and alcohol than spending time in the Word......it actually becomes evident that the ONLY REASON we are still here in this land is because God is extending His mercy to us.  If you look at the moral decay in this land...we should have been wiped at long ago.

"But the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it."
