The scenes coming from Texas are unimaginable. After the hottest summer EVER the conditions are ripe for everything to burn...and it seems that's exactly what is happening.
A massive Central Texas wildfire roared through ranchland and suburbs Monday, destroying nearly 500 homes - a state record for a single fire - as Gov. Rick Perry appealed for federal assistance to fight at least 63 blazes throughout the drought-dried state.
The pine forests of central and east Texas, the northern Panhandle and the southern Houston suburbs have been hit by scores of fires that have destroyed 1,091 homes and consumed 3.6 million acres, roughly the size of Connecticut, since the fire season began in November. One more governor appealing to the broke Federal Government for assistance. Who will assist the USA when we bankrupt ourselves giving out money to all the states for the "once in a lifetime" disasters that seem to be happening daily?
What do you think are the chances that our leaders will tear their clothes, cover themselves in ashes and sit in the dust while they repent before the Living God in hopes He will hear our prayers and heal our land?
