U.S. Quietly Moves Military Into Persian Gulf

USA says nothing is off the table when dealing with Iran....Iran says if attacked they will wipe out Israel and seriously damage American bases in the Gulf region....now we have America sliding some serious weapons and military power right onto the shores of Iran.

This could get interesting in a hurry.

US military quietly moves large reinforcements into Persian Gulf

Move seen as deterence measure to prevent Iran from blocking the Strait of Hormuz and increases number of fighter jets in region capable of hitting deep into Iran • Iran state TV reports Revolutionary Guard launches several missiles in military exercise, including those that can hit U.S. warships in the gulf.
The U.S. has discreetly moved considerable military reinforcements into the Persian Gulf to deter the Iranian military from any possible attempt to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, The New York Times reported on Tuesday. The reinforcements also increase the number of fighter jets capable of striking deep into Iran if the standoff over its nuclear program escalates.
The deployments, according to the Times, are part of a long-planned effort by the U.S. to bolster its military presence in region, in part to reassure Israel that when confronting Iran, as one senior administration official put it last week, "When the president says there are other options on the table beyond negotiations, he means it."
The military build-up, however, which comes on the heels of increasing economic pressure on Iran, carries significant risks, including provoking Iran’s Revolutionary Guard to lash out against the greater U.S. military presence.
Featured most prominently in the enhanced U.S. build-up are ships that are designed to vastly improve the Navy's ability to patrol the Strait of Hormuz — and to reopen the narrow waterway should Iran attempt to mine it to prevent Saudi Arabia and other oil exporters from sending tankers through.
Like kids pushing each other on the playground...the pushes are getting harder, the bellicose warnings are getting stronger...how long will it be until someone throws the first punch?  And how long might the fight go before the teachers come onto the playground and break it up?
