Never Seen It Happen

Last night on David Letterman, he was interviewing the bald guy from The Weather Channel.  His name was Jim something.

So Jim starts talking about the hurricane and says that he has covered over 90 hurricanes and studied hundreds more.  He then describes how Sandy came up the East Coast and took a hard left, going straight west, after it lined up with Manhattan and the Jersey Shore.

He went on to say that he, or anyone else at the Weather Channel, has EVER seen a hurricane take a hard left and head straight west.  It's simply unheard of...it simply NEVER happens!

So of course he goes onto talk about how the moon, the tide, the pressure, the storm, the cold front, etc....all came together to create a 'perfect storm'....a once every 500 or 1000 year event.

I switched from there and came across a weather update for the upper mid-west just in time to hear a dude say that parts of  the storm had moved over Lake Michigan and had created 22 foot waves....the biggest waves EVER recorded on Lake Michigan.

He then went on to talk about the 2+ feet of snow dropped on places that almost never see 2 feet of snow in the dead of winter....forget about the fact that it's the end of October.

It would sure seem that God is trying to get our attention.

I wonder if He ever will?
