NASA Assures Us Doomsday IS NOT Coming

Whew!!  That was as close call!  I thought those ancient Sumerians had it all figured out when they told of the planet Nibiru coming close to earth and causing all sorts of mayhem.

Well, have no fear....NASA is here to quash that whole story.  Turns out we AREN'T all gonna die next month.

Washington: Quashing the 'doomsday' rumours, top NASA scientists have assured that the world won't end on December 21, 2012.

"The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012," NASA said on its website.

The 'doomsday story' started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth, scientists said.

"Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims.

If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth in 2012, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye," scientists said.

Hey NASA....one follow up question please....if there were a huge extinction level event (ELE) coming towards earth that was going to cause unheard of destruction....would you bother to tell us?

I doubt it.  What incentive would there be?  All it would cause is chaos, terror and anarchy.  It would be much better to just let folks go on with their lives until the huge mountain fell into the sea...and see who survives.

For Bible readers, we can have 100% confidence that the world IS NOT going to end any time soon.

 Why? 

Because the order of events is; rapture, soon after that we have The Tribulation which lasts for about 7 years, then Jesus returns and sets up his Millennium Kingdom for 1000 years, then the Great White Throne Judgment, AND THEN the world gets destroyed by fire before the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven.

So you see friends, even if the rapture were to happen this afternoon...we know for sure there is still at least 1007 years left before the Lord destroys the face of the earth with fire.

However, please be very clear....the WORLD AS WE KNOW IT could change forever if the rapture happens this afternoon.  In the twinkling of an eye we will no longer care about shopping, 401k balances, our marriage, our checkbook, our house, our FL vacation, our new dishes, our pickup truck....or ANYTHING ELSE that we formerly believed had value.

Once we get our glorified bodies and take our position as the Bride of Christ....the world as we currently know it WILL BE OVER.  AMEN!!!
