Here Comes the Gun Control Talk

Should psychopaths, child molesters, wife beaters and those who have restraining orders against them be allowed to walk into a gun shop and purchase a gun?  Of course not.

Should law abiding citizens be allowed to purchase guns?  Of course.

Our forefathers put it in our constitution that U.S. citizens have the right to bear arms.  Why?...because they were pro-hunters?  No...because they wanted the citizens to have a way to protect themselves from those whom would mean them harm but also from the government, in case it ever turned on them.

Yesterday morning a news report came out that 18,000 children in the U.S. are injured by falling T.V.'s and over 200 have actually died over the past 10 years.  I made a joke via email that TV CONTROL LAWS need to be revisited because any idiot can walk into Walmart and purchase one of these dangerous items with out so much as a background check.  It was pretty funny....until about 4 hours later some dude with three guns killed his mom and a bunch of kids at the school where she worked.  Of course, no jokes are funny after something like that begins to unfold.

However, the point is valid.  Innocent children are maimed and killed by T.V's, trampolines, bicycles, and DRUNK DRIVERS by the thousands every year...and society allows that...but if 65 people get killed in a single year by "mass shootings"...all of a sudden the liberals begin to come out of their skin.  "Take the guns!  Take the guns!", the chanting begins.

President Barack Obama’s emotional call for “meaningful action” after yesterday’s shooting at a Connecticut elementary school may signal he’s prepared to push for stronger gun-control laws, a politically fraught issue he shied away from during his first term.

The killings of 20 children and seven adults, Obama said, created an imperative to stem gun violence.

“As a country, we have been through this too many times,” he said at the White House, pausing several times during his remarks to collect himself as tears welled in his eyes. “And we’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this regardless of the politics.”

Gun-control advocates immediately challenged Obama to match his words with legislation. After a gunman killed 12 people and wounded 58 others at an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater in July the president vowed to seek a national consensus on reducing gun violence. Yet in an election year, no proposals were made.

“Calling for ’meaningful action’ is not enough,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, co-chairman of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, said in a statement yesterday. “We need immediate action. We have heard all the rhetoric before.”

Bloomberg is founder and majority owner of Bloomberg News parent Bloomberg LP.

There were at least seven mass murders in the U.S. -- killings of at least four -- that claimed at least 65 lives this year.

You see, in the liberal mind, the problem isn't with violent video games, sexual abuse, pornography, demonic possession, physical abuse, etc...all of which could be involved in leading folks to plan these mass murders.....NO...the problem is with the guns that allow them to carry out their plans.

In the same way, the liberal mayor of New York City, doesn't see the obesity epidemic as caused by TV, video games, ignorance, and unbalanced diet....NO....the problem is with HUGE SOFT DRINKS...so with a stroke of a pen, he makes purchasing big glasses of pop ILLEGAL in New York City.

Friends, the guns in this country will never be turned in.  If you pass a law tomorrow, you may put the gun shops and gun manufacturers out of business and the law abiding folks may turn in their guns...but the criminals, mentally insane, satanic possessed and wife beaters will not turn in theirs.

What does that leave you with?  The criminals have guns and the law abiding folks don't.

If you were a criminal...wouldn't you love to rob any house you wanted and know that no one has a gun there but you?

If you were a government that was going to declare Marshall Law and have the military start calling the orders....wouldn't you love to know that the citizens you are controlling can only throw rocks?

Why can't the liberals realize that 60 years ago any man, any where in this country could walk into any Coast to Coast and purchase a gun?  Why can't the liberals realize that 30 years ago lots of us boys brought guns to school in our cars so we could hunt after school?  Why can't the liberals realize that there is something bigger going on here than guns?

Sadly, because Satan is pulling the strings and the "intelligent" have become confused as to what the Bible says.
