Big Election in Israel and Peace is NOT on Agenda

Tomorrow is a big day in Israel as they all go to the polls to elect a Prime Minister....and it looks like Netanyahu will have an easy time being re-elected....and peace with the Arabs is NOT on the agenda.

Benjamin Netanyahu seems poised for re-election as Israel's prime minister in Tuesday's voting, the result of the failure of his opponents to unite behind a viable candidate against him — and the fact that most Israelis no longer seem to believe it's possible to reach a peace settlement with the Palestinians.

The widely held assumption of a victory by Netanyahu comes despite his grim record: there is no peace process, there is growing diplomatic isolation and a slowing economy, and his main ally has been forced to step down as foreign minister because of corruption allegations.

The confusion and hopelessness that now characterize the issue of peace with the Palestinians has cost the moderates their historical campaign focus.

Many Israelis are disillusioned with the bitter experience of Israel's unilateral pullout from the Gaza Strip in 2005 that led to years of violence. Others believe Israel's best possible offers have been made and rejected already, concluding that they cannot meet the Palestinians' minimal demands.

"There can't be peace because we've tried everything already. All the options have been exhausted. They apparently don't want to make peace, said Eli Tzarfati, a 51-year-old resident of the northern town of Migdal Haemek. "It doesn't matter what you give them — it won't be enough."

Tzarfati expressed what seems to be a common sentiment.

Of course it is no secret that Obama and Netanyahu don't get along...so Israel will most likely continue becoming more isolated as time goes on.

This shouldn't surprise prophecy watchers as we know that the Bible says in the Last Days Israel WILL BE ALL ALONE...and then God will come and fight for them so that they will KNOW THAT GOD IS THEIR LORD!

18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. 23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.  Ezekiel 38

Amen!  Please keep praying for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem.  And most importantly, keep praying that the Prince of Peace will come and set everything straight!
