Ebola Alarm is Sounding

Do you guys remember hearing the scenario about offering to work for somebody for one penny the first day?  Then 2 cents the next day, 4 cents the next day and doubling it every day while promising to work on that doubling pay scale every day for a month?

Of course if you do the math...it's crazy.

While your employer would only owe you less than $1 for your first week of work...by the end of the month you daily wages would be a whopping $671,088 by day 27!!  And day 28 would reap you
$1,342,176!!

That is the power of doubling.

Now let's think about Ebola for a while.

Two leading public-health agencies issued dire warnings about the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, estimating that the number of cases could grow exponentially unless measures to tame the outbreak are implemented on a large scale soon.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that from 550,000 people to as many as 1.4 million people when underreporting of cases is taken into account could be infected by mid-January in Liberia and Sierra Leone, in a worst-case scenario generated by a computer modeling tool the agency constructed. Around 21,000 cases would occur by Sept. 30.

"Reported cases in Liberia are doubling every 15-20 days, and those in Sierra Leone are doubling every 30-40 days," the CDC said in its report.

The bleak estimate was made at the end of August, before big pledges of aid started rolling in and before the U.S. military hit the ground in Monrovia, as it has in the past few days, to help lead a beefed-up U.S. response.

Hmmmm....cases are DOUBLING every 15 to 20 days.

Now let's say that 1 million people end up with Ebola by January as the health experts are saying....and then let's double that every 3 weeks...to be conservative.

52 weeks in a year means there are 17 periods of 3 weeks.

If we start with 1 million cases in January 2105 and then double them every 3 weeks....

1,024 mil (that's now 1 billion and 24 million)

8,192 mil  (that's now over 8 billion)  The earth's population is just over 7 billion.

So...if the world doesn't figure out a way to stop Ebola cases from doubling....the entire world will have Ebola before 2015 is over.

Jesus said that one of the signs to WATCH for would be pestilence...and Ebola certainly qualifies.

Do I believe that the whole world will have Ebola and die before 2015 is done?

Nope.

Why?  Because there still has to be lots of wars fought, the Rapture, the Antichrist still has to come, new currencies need to manifest, false prophets need to show up, meteors need to hit, massive earthquakes, etc...

All these things WILL happen before Jesus returns to earth to set up his 1000 year reign...so no, we are not all going to die of Ebola...but the power of doubling numbers is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Will the world contain the outbreak to Africa?  Could entire nations collapse because of Ebola?

Certainly the world is facing a lot of tumultuous situations...and they all seem to be coming like a flood.
