Putin is Under Satan's Influence

I'm telling you the truth!....we could blog 12 hours per day and not begin to scratch the surface of the prophetic headlines and articles that are blanketing our news.

Here is the headline today from Reuter's News;

Putin is under Satan’s influence, says leader of Kiev Orthodox Church

President Vladimir Putin has fallen under the spell of Satan and faces eternal damnation unless he repents, a top Ukrainian clergyman said in an unusually blunt statement that squarely blamed the Russian leader for the war in Ukraine.

Patriarch Filaret heads the Kiev Patriarchate, a branch of the Orthodox Church that broke away from Moscow in 1992 after the fall of the Soviet Union and the declaration of an independent Ukraine.

His church, a rival of the Moscow Patriarchate which is closely linked to Putin, strongly supports Ukrainian nationhood and the Kiev government’s struggle to defeat pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.

“With great regret I must now say publicly that among the rulers of this world … there has appeared a new Cain, not by his name but by his deeds,” Patriarch Filaret said on Saturday, invoking the Biblical character who killed his brother Abel.

“Like the first fratricide of history Cain, these deeds show that the afore-mentioned ruler has fallen under the action of Satan,” he said in the statement, published on the patriarchate’s website in Ukrainian, Russian and English. (here)

The statement, entitled “New Cain”, was released on the first full day of a ceasefire between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian rebels. At least 2,600 people have died in fighting in eastern Ukraine since it erupted in April.

Putin is a baptized Orthodox Christian and has forged close ties with Russia’s Orthodox Church, seeing it as a valuable ally in his battle with what he sees as a decadent Western world.

Friends, let me reprint this sentence just to make sure you didn't miss it;

Putin might very well see his battle against The West as a religious war.  He looks at America and see perversion, gun violence, drug addictions, divorce, fornication, abortion and children with no respect for their parents...and decides he needs to stop all the filth from coming into his country and bankrupting it more than it already is!!  He may be saying, "Enough is enough!!"

Also please note that Hitler forged very good relations with the church leaders in Germany before he went on his global rampage that killed 1/3 of the worlds Jews and tens of millions of bystanders.

And finally remember what God says will be coming for Israel and be led by the leader of Russia (Gog of Magog) in the very last days;

Ezekiel 38

‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal.
7 “‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. 11 You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.”

As we have said, we have NO IDEA if Putin could end up being Gog of Magog....but if he isn't, he certainly is a powerful foreshadowing.

Also, please remember that MANY prophecy watchers believe this event spoken of in Ezekiel 38 will happen during the first 3 1/2 years of the 70th Week of Daniel.  Why?  Because of the sentence that I bolded in verse 8 above...."all of them live in safety."  People can't say that about Israel today.  Also in verse 11 it talks about Israel being unwalled, peaceful and unsuspecting.  Certainly that is NOT the case today that we see in Israel.

But after the rapture, the Antichrist will be revealed and he will put together a peace agreement for Israel.  It may include tearing down the wall the separates the Jews from the Arabs of Palestine.  The Jews may believe that the Antichrist is their promised messiah and so willfully put their trust in him that they become unsuspecting and unbelieving that any outside forces would dream of invading them.

So....if Putin is Gog....and Ezekiel 38 happens AFTER the rapture....then how close might we be to the time when Christ could come for His bride?
