Russia Planning War on Israel

This headline is VERY interesting from a prophetic point of view.  As always, we have no way of knowing if it's 100% true but it is a headline that the world is reading, nonetheless...so most certainly could be put under the file, "Rumors of War"

Official: Russia plotting to start war on Israel

TEL AVIV – Russia is preparing a contingency plan to prompt Hezbollah and possibly the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad into a direct military conflict with Israel, according to a French official who has been apprised of the situation.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the contingency was meant to be used as a card against the West, particularly the U.S. and European Union, which has been engaged in efforts to isolate Moscow.

This past week, the U.S. and E.U. adapted tighter sanctions on the Russian economy, including restrictions on investments in the Crimea, with emphasis on Russian Black Sea oil and gas exploration and tourism.

The official said there is information Russia in recent weeks successfully shipped to Hezbollah a large convoy of Iskandar ballistic missiles and surface-to-air missiles. The missiles were received, despite Israel’s alleged airstrikes in Syria targeting Russian-shipped weapons earlier this month, the official said.

The official said Russia has not made any decision about agitating a Hezbollah attack on Israel, but views a possible conflict in the Mideast as a card it can play in its confrontation with the West, particularly in Ukraine.

Earlier this month, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem traveled to Russia to meet with the country’s president, Vladimir Putin, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi.

WND reported at the time that according to a source in Assad’s regime, Putin and Lavrov assured Moualem that Russia “won’t stand for” any Western attack on Assad and that the Russians pledged “support” and “protection” to the Assad regime.

That pledge came amid pressure from Turkey and Saudi Arabia on the Obama administration to expand the fight against ISIS in Syria to also target Assad’s forces.

OK...let's read that first sentence again;  Russia is preparing a contingency plan to prompt Hezbollah and possibly the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad into a direct military conflict with Israel,

Now let's turn to Psalm 83 and remember that present day Lebanon and present day Syria were players mentioned in that Psalm.  Today Hezbollah has it's base in Lebanon and has been building up massive amounts of missiles and arms in preparation of its next war with Israel.  Today Syria is part of what used to called Assyria in Old Testament times.

Some prophecy watchers believe that Psalm 83 will be fulfilled first as the Psalm mentions all the enemies that currently border modern day Israel...and this will happen BEFORE Ezekiel 38 which lists the Muslim nations that will be led by Russia in a VERY LAST DAYS battle to destroy Israel.

So in this article we have the possibility of Russia egging on the nations mentioned in Psalm 83 to destroy Israel...and when that plan fails (which it will...because the Bible says so) Russia may put together an even bigger coalition which would include Iran and Turkey...and then make a run at Israel themselves...thereby fulfilling Ezekiel 38.  This also will fail...but it will be a turning point in history...because God himself will cast down fiery hailstones from heaven to thwart Russia's advancing army.

When Israel sees how God saved them...it will be a game changer for this Chosen Nation...and also many nations on earth who witness this miraculous event.
