Asteroid Coming to Earth?
Have you noticed all the movies/TV shows made in the last 20 years that have something to do with a massive asteroid slamming into earth and killing lots of people? Or the one with Bruce Willis where he is sent up in space to set off a nuke on an asteroid to save planet earth?
Are these just interesting movies or are we being prepared for something? If so, by who is preparing us...and for what?
Check out this article that was on Google News today that speaks of an asteroid coming our way.
Keep your binocular aside and get ready to watch a 30-meter wide asteroid zoom past earth so close that we will be able to watch it in the sky. The asteroid, 2013 TX68, will not impact earthlings during its flyby on March 5, but it may pose some threat in near future, as per the NASA.
When the asteroid will pass close to earth, it will be just 18,000km away from us, or 14 million kilometers. It will definitely not crash down on earth this year, but there are chances that it may hit us in 2017.
What will happen if the 2013 TX68 asteroid will have a collision with earth? According to the NASA, the space body will pose no threat to earth and its people. If 2013 TX68 hit our planet, it will just produce an air burst of about twice the energy of the Chelyabinsk event, the NASA added.
“The possibilities of collision on any of the three future flyby dates are far too small to be of any real concern. I fully expect any future observations to reduce the probability even more”, said Paul Chodas, manager of the CNEOS, in a press release of NASA.
Science community has also said that the 2013 TX68 will not impact life on Earth. About three years ago, a 15-meter-wide asteroid hit earth in Chelyabinsk, Russia. That time, it released a shock wave that led to broken windows and damaged buildings in the area. More than 1,500 people were injured, as per reports.
The new near-earth asteroid will come closer to earth than our moon ever does. Scientists around the world will be monitoring the rare event that may not occur for a long time.
Wired News reported that, Asteroid impacts, even those much smaller than the 10 kilometer dino killer that hit the Yucatan peninsula 66 million years ago, have fundamentally altered the history of life on Earth. In addition to being crazy portents of doom, they have brought organic material and maybe even water to the Earth’s surface.

So it's not going to hit us this year....but there is a chance it may hit us in 2017?
But fear not, if it does hit it will only be twice as big as that massive fireball that rocked that city in Russia a few years ago. It won't be an extinction level event!
Whew!! Good to know!!
NBC just started airing a show a few weeks ago on Thursday nights called YOU, ME AND THE APOCALYPSE.
I have watched the first two episodes to see what the story line is. Turns out there is a massive meteor heading to planet earth that is expected to kill about everybody. The US President announces it to the world with 34 days left til impact. One of the characters is a Catholic priest and he is given the task by the Vatican to explore if this world-ending event has anything to do with the RETURN OF CHRIST!! The priest is played by Rob Lowe and the show is a comedy!!
Friends, you simply can't make this stuff up!
Of course the Prince of this world knows what Revelation says....
Revelation 8
8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
Hmmmm.....sure sounds like some meteors are going to smash into planet earth and royally affect all those folks on earth who have rejected Christ and been left behind.
