Did Newsweek Article Just Point to Noah?

The Bible tells us that there was a global flood that killed all humans on earth...except for 8.

Noah and his three sons and their four wives = 8 survivors.

So according to the Bible, if you are reading this today, Noah would be your great, great, great, great (keep going about another 60 generations) grandpa.

And of course if you remove just one of those 'greats", you could determine whether you came from Shem, Ham or Japeth.

Now check out what Newsweek is reporting today...

Researchers have created what is the world’s largest family tree containing the records of around 13 million people. The dataset, which was put together using interconnected online genealogy profiles, has revealed fascinating insights into the past 500 years of North American and European history.

To create the family tree, Yaniv Erlich—a computer scientist at Columbia University and lead author of the study—and colleagues downloaded 86 million public profiles from Geni.com, one of the largest collaborative genealogy websites.

They then used mathematical analysis to organize the data, resulting in a vast interconnected family tree that spans 11 generations on average, documenting births, deaths and marriages. In theory, if the data extended back another 65 generations, the tree would converge on a single common ancestor, the researchers said. Their work is published in the journal Science.

It seems that almost weekly, science is coming up with findings that confirm what the Bible has been saying all along.

Genesis 6
17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.
