Boys Can Have Periods Too

Some of my readers will remember the day in 5th grade elementary when we 10-11 yr olds were told, "All the boys will be going with Mr Wayne into room 310 and all the girls will be going with Mrs. Wheeler into room 410 down the hall."  Those of us with older brothers knew what was coming because they had told us about the day they got their little blue books which explained sexual intercourse.  The girls got pink books that explained about boy parts but also had a special chapter about their menstrual cycle.  I remember asking Karen S. if I could see her pink book on the bus and she said that Mrs. Wheeler told them not to show their books to the boys.  BUMMER!!

That would have been in 1973.  Had it been today, Mrs. Wheeler would most likely be fired for her "sexist discrimination" and transphobic behavior.

Today things have  certainly changed.  In 2018 our 10-11 yr olds are being told that BOYS CAN HAVE PERIODS TOO!  This particular headline is from the UK...but I'm sure its probably already happening in California public schools as well.

School children will be taught that "all genders" can have periods in new sex education lessons, in a victory for transgender rights campaigners. The advice to teachers was approved by Brighton & Hove City Council as they try to tackle stigma around menstruation.

The new advice follows a council report which said: "Trans boys and men and non-binary people may have periods", adding that "menstruation must be inclusive of all genders".

Bins used for menstruation products will be provided in all toilets for children, according to the report.

It also calls for transgender students and pupils to be provided with additional support from a school nurse if needed.

The report recommends that "language and learning about periods is inclusive of all genders, cultures, faiths and sexual orientations. For example; ‘girls and women and others who have periods'".

Brighton & Hove City Council said in a statement: "By encouraging effective education on menstruation and puberty, we hope to reduce stigma and ensure no child or young person feels shame in asking for period products inside or outside of school if they need them.

So I guess the lesson here is that if a girl names Jamie decides one day to be Jimmy...and starts dressing like a boy and asking her teachers and classmates to refer to her as HIM and HE....he (She) will still have a vagina and so he might start menstruating and may require a tampon machine and disposal box to be present in the MEN'S ROOM.  So because there are one in fifty million little "boys" who will be getting their periods this year, every school in America will soon need to spend thousands of dollars to make sure the men's bathrooms and shower rooms have menstrual equipment installed.

Lord help us.  We are so confused.  We have strayed so far from you, God, that we can't figure out which way is up and which way is down.  We seem to be drowning in a muddy pit but we just keep digging and adding water....and then wondering why suicide is happening in our grade schools...for the first time EVER!
