Justifying Murder in America
When the Left starts to believe that Trump and Musk and anyone who voted for Trump are Nazis, and then they start to talk about violence being done to right what they believe is wrong, we may be entering a new phase in American politics.
The rationale goes like this; If Hitler could have been killed before he carried out his massive holocaust, would you have pulled the trigger on him? If the answer is 'yes', then the same should be done with Donald Trump...because clearly he is a Nazi dictator who is soon going to round up all the transgenders, gays and lesbians and have them killed or put into concentration camps.
A study recently conducted by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) and RutgersUniversity’s Social Perception Lab found that half of those classified as politically “left of center” believe the assassination of President Donald Trump (55.2%) and Elon Musk (48.6%) would be at least somewhat justifiable.
Those on the Left—of the surveyed 1,264 respondents—also took little issue with the destruction and firebombing of Elon Musk’s Tesla dealerships, with 57.6% likewise believing those actions to be defensible.
“Political violence targeting Donald Trump and Elon Musk is becoming increasingly normalized,” NCRI warned in its introduction of the study’s findings. “Following the July 13, 2024, attempted assassination of President Trump, tolerance – and even advocacy – for political violence appears to have surged, especially among politically left-leaning segments of the population.”
The researchers referred to this disturbing trend as “assassination culture,” which they stated sharply increased following Luigi Mangione’s brazen slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December of last year.
Thompson’s assassination was shockingly applauded by many Democrats, including some California lawmakers who recently put forward a ballot measure in honor of the killer, entitled “the Luigi Mangione Access to Health Care Act.”
Answers In Genesis Founder and CEO Ken Ham, in his article, “Living In A Time When Murderers Are Called Heroes, And God Is Called Hateful,” discussed the startling support received by murderer Luigi Mangione, warning at the time that approval of political assassinations could be next.
Ham pointed to an “egregiously irresponsible statement” made by Elizabeth Warren last December. In reference to Mangione, Warren insisted, “You can only push people so far, and then they start to take matters into their own hands.”
“Oh, really?” Ham responded. “How about in reference to politicians?”
“Our culture has increasingly abandoned God, deserted God’s Word, thrown Christianity out of the public education system, taught generations of people that there’s no God, and bought into the lie that we are merely animals,” he underscored. “It is no wonder people think: ‘I can do whatever I want. I’ll define right and wrong. If I want to murder, it’s okay for me if I determine it to be the right thing to do. Why not?'”
“It’s morally sick,” Ham continued. “We see Isaiah 5:20 happening in all sorts of ways, and now we see it happening in regard to murder. People are calling murder good, and those who want to condemn murder evil. Who would have ever thought that we would be in that situation?”
NCRI concluded its study by sounding the alarm, urging swift measures to be taken before views of “assassination culture” among Democrats convert into physically violent actions.
“Unless political and cultural leadership explicitly confronts and condemns this trend, NCRI assesses a growing probability of real-world escalation,” the study warned. “These attitudes are not fringe—they reflect an emergent assassination culture, grounded in far-left authoritarianism and increasingly normalized in digital discourse… Continued monitoring and broader measurement efforts are urgently needed.”
The justification of murder is nothing new for the Democrat Party. The slaying of tens of millions of unborn children has been declared acceptable for decades. Ending the lives of the sick, vulnerable, and elderly through assisted suicide has received heavy support. Even the massacre of Jewish people at the hands of Hamas was defended by the Left as justifiable, arguing that the Islamic terrorists were “freedom fighters” standing up to their “Zionist oppressors.”
