No One Comes to Jesus Unless The Father Draws Them
Have you ever wondered how salvation actually works? You can logically start asking questions that we think we have the answers to and arrive at conclusions;
-Does God know the beginning from the end?…yes
-Did God know you before He formed you in the womb?…yes
-Does the Creator reveal Himself through nature every time you look at the complexities of life…yes
-Are we dead in our sin because we were born as sinful, wretched humans…yes
-Can a dead man do anything…no
-Can pride cause me to believe that because I’m smarter or more logical than others, that I decided to seek Jesus and found him…yes
-Did God have all the names written in the Lambs Book of Life before the foundations of the world were laid…yes
-So God is not on the throne watching and wringing His hands just hoping that Peggy Sue will accept His offer…no
-So God is never worried, anxious, depressed, frustrated or “having a bad day”…no
-So do I have free choice in all this…yes. God calls you and awakens you from your dead-in-sin status. He opens your mind so you can understand the things of God. He convicts you of your sin. He offers you Jesus as a cure. It’s a gift from God. But He wont force you to accept the gift. But if you do accept it you can’t boast of anything because it was all God all along.
Yes, it’s a mystery. More of it will make sense when we see Jesus because we will know Him more and no more of His plans because “when we see him we will be like him.”
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up on the last day.—Jesus John 6:44
