Researcher Says Dinosaur Was “Buried in a Flood”

 This article was in People Magazine and the headline made Google News, where I saw it.  It speaks of a T-Rex skeleton found in Wyoming and how one of its arms was in perfect condition.  While we disagree with the article when it says that this lizard was running around on earth 68 million years ago, we found it interesting what the lead researcher said.  He thinks it was caught in a flood.  Very quickly caught in a flood.

Unless the Bible tells us otherwise, we believe this dinosaur was walking around on earth about 1700 years after Adam was created when God told Noah and his family to get in the ark.  Then the flood came and took away every breathing thing on land.

What emerged was remarkably intact.

The specimen includes an articulated right arm with every bone preserved in place, from the shoulder down to the claws.

“It was the only complete T. rex hand and forearm ever found,” Sereno told the outlet. “Every single bone, in place outside of the ribcage. I was totally shocked.”

Researchers also discovered Rex Junior’s wishbone in its original position. Sereno said the anatomy revealed that T. rex had a slimmer chest than scientists had previously depicted and helped inform changes to the mounting of Sue, the famous T. rex displayed at Chicago’s Field Museum.

But Rex Junior could have even more to tell scientists about what the predator looked like when it was alive.

Sereno said the skeleton was preserved three-dimensionally, with bones remaining in unusually lifelike positions. He believes the animal may have been buried alive during a flood, though that remains his interpretation of the evidence.

“I personally believe that it was buried alive in a flood,” he said. “I don’t think it was a carcass. This looks like it was breathing when it was suddenly buried, like it didn’t have a chance to escape.”
