Convert of Die

We should all be aware by now that persecution of Christians is growing. We know Satan's pattern...first persecute the Jews, then come for the bible-believing Christians.

This headline just arrived out of Pakistan;

Six Christians Shot Dead by Islamic Militants in Pakistan

Quetta: August 31, 2009. (PCP report) The Islamic extremists gunned down 6 Christians and injured 7 more in Quetta city of Baluchistan on August 28, 2009, after threats of “Convert to Islam or Die”

The sources told PCP that Christians were receiving threats from Islamic militants to convert to Islam or Die letters and calls from months which resulted in killing.

We know this is yet one more sign that we may be in the very Last Days because Jesus told us about the future, "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me." Matthew 24:9

Of course Christians have been persecuted since Christ was on earth....so what's different about this outbreak?? Israel is back in the Promised land and is giving the world fits, nations are rising against nations, earthquakes are rapidly increasing in frequency, famines are following drought and war as we speak, diseases are breaking out and strange signs are appearing in the skies.

"Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it (He) is near, right at the door." Matthew 24:33

Lastly, I always have to ask myself a serious question....If Muslim militants came to my house or business (as just happened to these dead guys) and told me to renounce the name of Christ or you will be killed and your corpse cut into pieces and dragged around by dirtbikes....would I have the faith to stand firm or would I cower in fear and beg for my life and tell the militants anything they wanted to hear...just so I could live?
