Iron Dome

Yesterday we posted an article that spoke of reasons that Israel hasn't attacked Iran...yet. One of the reasons mentioned in the article was that Israel was putting the finishing touches on being prepared to protect their citizens when Israel's enemies launch thousands of missiles right into the middle of Israel.

That concern may now be addressed....and may move Israel one step closer to having the confidence to take on Iran and it's proxies, Syria and Hezbollah. (Remember that Hezbollah is currently positioned in Southern Lebanon...right on Israel's northern border.)

The fix is in a missile defense system that Israel calls, "Iron Dome".

An observer who watched Monday's test and has no active role in the defense establishment said the test was "amazing."

Iron Dome, he said, when "faced with a volley of Grad-type Katyushas, fires a counter-volley and the interceptors are required to select and intercept specific Grads in this flying pack. It looked impossible, but they did the impossible," he said. "Every missile picked the specific Grad it was asked to select and destroyed it. There's no doubt this is historic."

See it here; http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/iron-dome-success-excites-but-army-balks-at-the-bill-1.303099

Also note that some more good news shows up in the article;

The U.S. Congress passed last week the Obama administration's initiative to provide Israel with a $205 million grant to procure Iron Dome batteries.

So it appears we are still helping Israel with finances and defense. That's good to know...because it is becoming increasingly clear that the only reason the USA is still standing is because we continue to be some sort of blessing to Israel.

When we start cursing Israel is when you may see a sudden fall for Team USA.
