Sudan Starts to Come Apart

Let's make sure to keep our eyes on Sudan.  Many prophecy watchers believe this area is part of Cush, as mentioned in the Bible.

CUSH

1. An ancient region of northeast Africa where the biblical descendants of Cush settled. It is often identified with Ethiopia.

 

2. An ancient kingdom of Nubia in northern Sudan. It flourished from the 11th century b.c. to the 4th century a.d., when its capital fell to the Ethiopians.

U.S. aircraft hit by gunfire in South Sudan as conflict worsens

(Reuters) - Three U.S. aircraft came under fire from unidentified forces on Saturday while trying to evacuate Americans from a spiraling conflict in South Sudan. The U.S. military said four of its members were wounded in the attacks.

Nearly a week of fighting in South Sudan threatens to drag the world's newest country into a Dinka-Nuer ethnic civil war just two years after it won independence from Sudan with strong support from successive U.S. administrations.

The U.S. aircraft came under fire while approaching the evacuation site, the military's Africa Command said in a statement. "The aircraft diverted to an airfield outside the country and aborted the mission," it added.

Hundreds of people have been killed in the fighting between Dinka loyalists of President Salva Kiir and Nuer supporters of former Vice-President Riek Machar, who was sacked in July and is accused by the government of trying to seize power.

Fighting has spread from the capital, Juba, to vital oilfields and the government said a senior army commander had defected to Machar in the oil-producing Unity State.

Ezekiel 38

Gog of Magog is most likely the leader of Russia and maybe some old Soviet satellites...like the Ukraine that just rejoined them??

Persia is Iran. (see any news coming out of there in regards to destroying Israel?) 

Cush is Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan (parts of it).

Put is Libya and Tunisia....both of which have recently fallen to Muslim extreme elements.

No doubt the world is in turmoil.  The chess pieces are being moved, shuffled and shaken.  God's Word WILL BE fulfilled.

And quick message to some of my readers who believe that ALL PROPHECY has already been fulfilled...I find your explanations for that understanding to be weak.  Ezekiel 38 has NEVER happened.  Neither has Isaiah 17 or much of Revelation. 

So, as for me and my house, we will continue to watch what God is doing in the world, continue to spread the Good News that Jesus is the only hope, and listen for the trumpet call announcing that Jesus is here to claim His bride....a bride he bought and paid for over 2000 years ago.
