The world just can't take its eyes off of Jerusalem these days. Specifically the Temple Mount.

Solomon built the first Temple there and King Herod expanded the 2nd Temple. Jesus said it would be destroyed and it was in 70 AD. The Romans ordered it's destruction. There has NOT been a Temple there for 2000 years now.

Of course the Muslims showed up over 1000 years later and they built a Mosque and also the Dome of the Rock.

Why did they do it here?

Because they knew there had been a Jewish Temple there at one point and they wanted to lay claim and usurp everything Jewish about this Holy Ground.

Today the Jews know that they are close to being able to build a 3rd Temple.

Bible reading Christians KNOW that a 3rd Temple will be built because there has to be one built to fulfill prophecy that is spelled out to happen during the Great Tribulation.

The fact that this tiny piece of ground is in the headline news almost every day should serve as another sign that the return of Christ for His church is imminent. We don't know the day or hour BUT we shouldn't be surprised if we are awake and watching.
