Suicide Bombing Strikes Turkey

It's being reported that 128 people were killed and dozens more injured by a suicide bombing in Turkey over the weekend.

Authorities are trying to determine if the bomber was a Lutheran, a Methodist or some other form of Christian.....just kidding....they already know it was a Muslim but aren't sure what kind of Muslim. However, a lot of fingers are pointing at ISIS.

In conversation with friends over the weekend, we were wondering how Turkey may be drawn into the Russian coalition mentioned in Ezekiel 38.....and we may have received a possible answer if Turkey decides to join Russia and Iran currently battling ISIS in Syria.

While the Turkish government has pointed the finger at ISIS over the Anakara attack, others wonder about the role of Turkey's "deep state".

Whoever was responsible for the bombs that killed 128 people in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Saturday, the benefit of the resulting turmoil clearly accrues to the country’s embattled president. In late August, Recept Tayyip Erdogan called national elections for Nov. 1 to recover his role as Turkey’s “indispensible man”—and in the process appears to have unleashed the forces that kept Turkish politics snarled in the fear and suspicions that he called on everyday Turks to rise above when he first burst on the national stage more than a decade ago, as a celebrated political reformer.

The government’s response to the bombings were contradictory and complex to the point of incoherence—a result that is actually often desired by leaders who cast themselves as the only candidate with the iron will and the understanding to rule. After the blasts, the Turkish military launched one set of air strikes against the Kurdish guerrillas it says are associated with the HDP. A second set of air strikes targeted ISIS, the extremist Sunni group that the very same Kurdish guerrilla organizations are fighting in Syria.

There was no evidence offered that either group was involved in the Ankara bombing—a Kurdish hand, against a rally for Kurds, would be particularly unlikely—but Erdogan has lumped the Kurds and ISIS under the rubric of “terrorist,’ and cast himself as enemy of both. His government began launching strikes on the Kurdish guerrillas, known in PKK, after declaring a new offensive against ISIS in August.

The Bible clearly tells us in Ezekiel 38-39 that a coalition including Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and other minor players will gather to destroy Israel.  They WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL but I'll let you read the passage and figure that out on your own.

WHEN WILL THIS ATTEMPT TAKE PLACE?

Most prophecy watchers believe it will happen sometime AFTER THE RAPTURE but BEFORE THE PEACE AGREEMENT THE ANTICHRIST WILL SIGN WITH ISRAEL.

Why?

Here is one clue from Ezekiel 39:
7 “‘I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of.

9 “‘Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 

It's very likely this prophecy will take place after the rapture because God has now turned his full attention back to Israel as the AGE OF GRACE has come to an end when Christ snatches His bride and the Holy Spirit is withdrawn.  When hail-fire and brimstone rain down on this coalition the world will sit up and take notice....but during the Age of Grace they mostly seem to be sound asleep to the purposes of God....even those sitting in the churches of America!!

Secondly, the passage tells us that after this coalition is destroyed that the Israelites will go out and collect the fuel from this great coalition and use them for fuel for 7 years....so let's think about that....when Jesus comes back to earth at the end of Armageddon, WHY would the Jews still have to be burning fuel from some massive military destruction?  Jesus is going to sit on the throne and remake the world....so burning fuel from some destroyed tanks seems NOT to go hand in hand with Jesus' newly established kingdom.

SO, if I was a betting man I would say the timeline of Ezekiel's war would be this:

Rapture....
Antichrist revealed....
Ezekiel's War....
Israel commences burning fuel for 7 years and collecting bodies for 7 months...
Antichrist signs 7 year peace agreement with Israel...
Countdown to Christ's return commences with signing of 7 yr peace agreement...
Christ returns 7 Jewish-calendar years after peace agreement signed...
Christ sits on David's throne in Jerusalem for 1000 years...

SO NOW LISTEN UP AGAIN!....if we can SEE the coalition that Ezekiel spoke of coming together before our very eyes and it seems LOGICAL that the rapture will come first....HOW CLOSE MIGHT WE BE TO THE TRUMPET SOUNDING?!
