More Thoughts on Trump's Board of Peace

The below comments are from Jan Markell in reference to the Board of Peace.  The world will cry for peace but there will be no lasting peace until the Prince of Peace arrives to set up His millennial reign.

The Bible describes a future period in which authority is concentrated not solely in traditional kingdoms, but in a limited number of powerful figures who operate beyond national boundaries. And that is why I am paying close attention to President Trump’s Board of Peace

Here are some fast facts:

1) President Trump will serve as chairman and wield considerable overall control. It will help resolve conflicts globally. He has the sole authority to invite new members and appoint a successor.

2) Global peace seems to be their goal, though they will participate in other global duties as well. The immediate focus of the Board of Peace will be Gaza though there was no word about Gaza in the charter.

3) A lot of Godless people seem to be in charge such as Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Tony Blair, and almost 60 more movers and shakers. Most have a worldly view of the world and of “peace”.

4) Though originally announced as the international body created to oversee the rebuilding and initial governance of Gaza, the document curiously never mentions Gaza. Why not? Does President Trump envision this as the beginnings of an alternative or replacement to the United Nations? At face value, that sounds like a great idea!

5) The price tag for a nation state being a member is $1 billion. That eliminates some third world countries and maybe that is good. The Somalias of the world will have to watch from afar.

6) Most European countries, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany, have declined a position on the board, leading to significant dominance of the Middle Eastern Arab states on the Board of Peace.

7) The Board of Peace will be run by artificial intelligence and is clearly preparing Mark of Beast system. It seems to be setting up the Antichrist end-time system.

8) The newly established Board of Peace is organized into a tiered hierarchy of multiple levels of oversight committees.

9) Russia has been invited. How can a country engaged in a brutal war be a part of a Board of Peace?

10)   The Pope has been invited, too. An end-time establishment is surely not complete without participation from the Vatican! The world awaits a spiritual leader!

11)    Israel is invited but is outraged to be on a platform with the likes of Qatar and Turkey.

12) The Board of Peace seeks to promote stability, restore dependable and lawful governance, and secure enduring peace in areas affected or threatened by conflict.

13) Questionable and shady outfits such as the World Economic Forum may participate. These people aren’t elected and plenty are shady characters. It has been suggested that many participants are kings without kingdoms.

14) Prophecy News Watch says it best: A peace guaranteed by outsiders. Power consolidated in elite hands. Decisions about Israel made far from Jerusalem. A world growing comfortable with governance by committee rather than covenant.

15) Since organizers claim it will solve all the world’s problems, it is Tribulation-esque and could be preparing the way for a global leader. That is likely not President Trump, but keep your eyes on Jared Kushner who is truly one of the world’s most powerful unelected leaders.

Again, quoting Prophecy News Watch, “Daniel speaks of rulers who arise suddenly, wield influence disproportionate to their origins, and play decisive roles in confirming agreements that directly impact Israel. Revelation later describes ten kings who rule briefly, not over historic empires, but through shared authority--leaders who ultimately ‘give their power’ to one central figure.”

The Board of Peace will undoubtedly shut out the Prince of Peace and thus will fail. Additionally, the Bible says, “While people are saying, ‘There is peace and security,’ then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” (I Thess. 5:3).

Keep your eye on this outfit, however. It is clearly setting the stage.

Are These Protestors Actually Being Led by Fierce Demons?

Many of us have noticed how bizarre these liberal protestors are…especially the women joined by men who think and dress like women.  They scream and make the most guttural and howling sounds.  Their disgusting language comes right out the pit of hell.  And who the heck could bite the finger off an ICE agent right through his glove?  The noises they make and their eyeball movements have made us wonder if demons are manifesting through these folks?  Read on.  Remember that our battle is not against humans but against Satan and his angels and demons.

***********************

The “Fierce” of these Perilous Times

If you’ve watched the rage going on in Minneapolis and other cities, you see the screaming, howling, cursing, and, in many cases, the physical assaults upon the ICE agents trying to enforce the law by rounding up illegal aliens. It seems sheer lunacy, at least to this observer, just listening to the screeching, especially of young women who seem to have gone mad with the obsession of keeping those convicted of the most heinous crimes imaginable from capture and deportation.

These aren’t protests like the founders envisioned but are riotous and steeped in violence, and even murderous intent, as fiercely wicked as the acts of the illegals who have invaded our borders. We remember vividly, for example, the recent death of the thirty-seven-year-old woman who tried to block ICE agents, and when ordered to get out of her vehicle, instead of lawfully complying, accelerated into the ICE officer. He then, in order to protect himself and others, fired his weapon, striking the woman and killing her.

As insanely as the young woman acted, I was touched by words I heard her father say when interviewed. He was, the report indicated, a Christian, who, while heartbroken over his daughter’s death, said she had no business acting in such a way, when obviously trying to run the ICE officer over.

Days later, an armed rioter threatened an ICE officer with guns and was shot and killed, touching off even more violence. One rioter, in the throes of ferocity, bit off the finger of an ICE agent.

What has happened in this nation, where sanity seems out the window and absolute hatred rules in the minds of those who apparently want to protect murderers, rapists, child molesters, and many other kinds of criminals from other countries to remain in America?

And the chaos and insanity are backed up by most every mainstream news organization in the country. It’s a growing sin infection that Paul the apostle called “the reprobate mind” (Romans 1:28).

Paul warned of how things will develop as the time of Christ’s return nears. We have looked at that passage many times. I refer, of course, to the great apostle’s “perilous times” prophecy of 2 Timothy chapter 3. I’ll let you look it up in totality but will dwell only on one element for our purpose here.

Paul said: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be…fierce…” (2 Timothy 3:3).

And, as we have just recounted, women will be fierce, too.  As a matter of fact, the record is reflecting that those responsible for organizing these rages against law and order are using young, white women to thrust into the forefront of protecting the murderers, rapists, child molesters, and other illegal criminals murdering, raping, sex-trafficking children and plundering billions of dollars from tax-paying citizens, such as we have witnessed from among the Somali fraud—again in the Minneapolis area.

Again, Paul wrote under Holy Spirit Inspiration of the very thing that would mark the end of the Age of Grace (Church Age). He said that the “lawless one, Antichrist, will be revealed following the removal of the Restrainer as governor of evil over this fallen world system. It will be the spirit of Antichrist that even in John the apostle’s day was prevalent that will pervade the human race and its rebellion against all godliness.

That spirit is being manifest with each of these lawless episodes exploding around the nation. These have at their riotous hearts the reprobate minds of those who champion the wickedness that saturates our nation’s bluest cities. This has been the evil springing forth since the Biden administration opened those floodgates along our borders.

But it is not a political problem that threatens the republic the founding fathers—and God Himself—gave us. My great friend Gary Stearman had something to say about all this, giving us a Holy Spirit-influenced think-piece, I believe:

Years ago, I noticed something in Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy. It struck home in a big way, and to this day directs my thinking about Bible prophecy. In the third chapter, there is an intriguing statement: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” Probably, most serious Christians have noticed this warning, and then have continued to read the long list of character deficiencies that follow…

This description of latter-day societal shortcomings rings with a surprising familiarity to those of us who observe the daily media parade. As I read this, it occurred to me that I needed to do a deeper study of what the term “perilous times” really meant. Looking it up, I found that the word “perilous” came from the Greek word, chalepos.

Looking further, I discovered that in the New Testament, this word was used only twice, the other time being in Matthew, Chapter 8, in which Jesus and His disciples had sailed across the Sea of Galilee. A windstorm had risen and swamped their sailboat, until He spoke and calmed the waters:

“But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way” (Mt. 8:27:28).

To my amazement, I discovered that the Greek word chalepos was used in the phrase, “exceedingly fierce!”

And fierce they were … so strong that in this territory of the beach and its cliffs, no one could pass. Their strength came from demonic possession.

I was immediately struck with the thought that when Paul wrote those prophetic words to Timothy, his exhaustive description of latter-day humanity was constructed around the idea of madness … raging insanity empowered by dark forces! Suddenly, I was deeply impressed with Paul’s true intent: to show Timothy – and us, in the twenty-first century – that the days before Christ’s return would be marked by a growing social insanity.

And not just that; it would be an insanity driven by the same dark forces encountered by Jesus and His disciples on the shores of Galilee on that day so long ago.

When this connection struck me so long ago, I began what I called the Chalepos Watch!

Always keeping Paul’s words in mind, I noted social changes and developments that were driven by raging insanity of the sort that suggested the presence of dark forces, working behind the scenes to fragment our civilized society:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Eph 6:12).

The Chalepos Watch is still underway, and I intend to pursue it in the future, just as I have for so many years now. (Source: Gary Stearman needs no introduction to those who study Bible prophecy, of course. I’ll just say that Gary is cohost, along with Mondo Gonzales, of Prophecy Watchers, one of the premiere Bible prophecy ministries today.)

So, it is obvious that we face at this moment fierceness born of the dark side, fomented by the father of lies and the perpetrator of lawlessness against the order established by our God.

But as Gary put it in concluding his thoughts on this fierceness we face: “The good news? It is found a little further down in Paul’s letter”: “But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was” (2 Timothy 3:9).

Quake Headlines Just From Today

 Various places for sure!

********************

Another relatively weak  earthquake rattled Illinois last night adding to other recent seismic events in the area. According to USGS,  the magnitude 2.0  event struck   near the Illinois/Missouri border near Monroe City which is south of   St. Louis, Missouri.  The earthquake, with a depth of 11.2 km, struck at 8:23 pm local time yesterday.  People that reported they felt and/or heard the quake were in both states.

There have been steady earthquakes about  100 miles south, but that area is  closer to the heart of the New Madrid Seismic Zone, or NMSZ for short, where seismic activity has been elevated in recent months.

According to USGS, an earthquake rattled South Carolina this morning, not far from where a historic earthquake’s epicenter was. The earthquake which struck at 11:24 am, was relatively weak but noticeable,  being rated as a magnitude 2.3 event with an epicenter having a depth of 7.7 km. The earthquake struck just southwest of the town of Summerville which is north of North Charleston and northwest of downtown Charleston. Charleston is home to the worst east coast quake on record.

According to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD), there are approximately 10-15 earthquakes every year in South Carolina, with most not felt by residents; on average, only 3-5 are felt each year. Most of  South Carolina’s earthquakes are located in the Middleton Place-Summerville Seismic Zone. The two most significant historical earthquakes to occur in South Carolina were the 1886 Charleston-Summerville quake and the 1913 Union County quake. The 1886 earthquake in Charleston was the most damaging earthquake to ever occur in the eastern United States; it was also the most destructive earthquake in the U.S. during the 19th century.

The west coast is shaking again.  In recent weeks we have witnessed so much seismic activity along the portion of the Pacific Ring of Fire that sits directly along the California coastline.  There had been hope that the shaking would settle down, but instead it appears to be accelerating.  As you will see below, there have been 321 earthquakes in the San Francisco area within the past 7 days.  If I was living in northern California, that would definitely get my attention.  Scientists have warned us over and over again that “the Big One” is inevitably coming, and almost every day there are more reminders of this.  In fact, San Ramon was just hit by a swarm of more than 30 earthquakes on Monday morning

Feb 3 (Reuters) - A magnitude 6 earthquake struck Myanmar on Tuesday, the German Research Center for Geosciences(GFZ)said.
The quake was at a depth of 10km (6.21 miles), GFZ said.

The Giants Were Real

I can't even count the number of posts I have done that reference back to Genesis 6...when the giants, called Nephilim, were on the earth.

Many pastors totally avoid this passage.  They don't want to try to explain to there congregants that fallen angels had a plan to impregnate human women and beget children by them.

Also, me and many others, are of the belief that demons are actually the disembodied souls of those giants that were killed in the flood.  Fallen angels are not inhabiting the bodies of possessed humans on earth, but instead, it's the souls of the beings who are neither human nor angels, but a perverted hybrid.

Today we find more evidence pointing to the veracity of the Biblical story.

Every so often, archaeology taps the brakes on modern skepticism and forces an uncomfortable question back onto the table: What if the Bible was telling the truth all along? A recently resurfaced examination of an ancient Egyptian papyrus--Anastasi I--has reignited one of Scripture's most controversial claims: that giants once walked the earth. For Bible-believing Christians who take the Old Testament at face value, this discovery does not feel like a stretch. It feels like confirmation.

The Anastasi I papyrus, dated to roughly the 13th century BC and housed in the British Museum since 1839, describes encounters with the Shosu (or Shasu) people--nomadic groups in the Levant--who were said to stand "four cubits or five cubits" tall. Using the Egyptian cubit of approximately 20 inches, this places these individuals anywhere from 6'8" to over 8'6" tall. In a world where the average man stood closer to 5'2", these figures would have been terrifyingly large.

The text itself is written as a letter from the scribe Hori to another scribe, Amenemope, warning of dangerous terrain and hostile enemies. Hori describes a narrow mountain pass "infested with Shosu concealed beneath the bushes... fierce of face," emphasizing not only their size but their threat. While critics argue the letter is satirical--an instructional mockery meant to embarrass a fellow scribe--the warning is oddly specific. Height measurements, locations, and military logistics are not the usual tools of parody. As the Associates for Biblical Research note, accuracy is central to the letter's purpose.

For readers of Scripture, the implications are immediate. The Bible repeatedly speaks of unusually large peoples inhabiting Canaan and surrounding regions. Genesis 6:4 famously declares, "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men." Numbers 13:33 recounts the Israelites encountering the sons of Anak, describing themselves as "grasshoppers" by comparison. Deuteronomy 3 records King Og of Bashan--so large his bedstead measured over 13 feet long.

The Hebrew term Nephilim has long been debated, but many conservative scholars maintain it refers to literal beings, not metaphor. This view is not fringe. Dr. Michael Heiser, often cited by skeptics, actually affirmed the supernatural interpretation of Genesis 6. While Heiser questioned whether great height alone proves giant status, he firmly taught that the "sons of God" were divine beings--fallen angels--who transgressed their proper domain, producing hybrid offspring. His hesitation was not theological but archaeological: height alone, he argued, is not enough. Yet the nature of the Nephilim, in his view, was unquestionably supernatural.

Other respected Bible scholars go further. Chuck Missler consistently taught that the Nephilim were a genetic corruption of humanity, explaining why the Flood was necessary to preserve the Messianic bloodline. Gary Wayne, in The Genesis 6 Conspiracy, documents parallels between biblical giants and ancient pagan traditions across cultures, arguing that the Bible preserves the original account while others preserve corrupted echoes. Scholars at Answers in Genesis, including Tim Chaffey, defend a literal reading of the Anakim, Rephaim, and Nephilim as real people groups with extraordinary physical traits.

Extra-biblical evidence continues to pile up. Egyptian Execration Texts reference "ly anaq"--a striking parallel to the biblical Anak. Reliefs from the Battle of Kadesh depict Shasu captives towering over others. A Canaanite tablet mentions Rapiu, king of eternity, ruling in Ashtaroth and Edrei--the very cities associated with Og and the Rephaim. As Christopher Eames of the Armstrong Institute notes, the convergence of names, places, and titles is difficult to dismiss as coincidence.

Skeptics counter that no giant skeletons have been found. But absence of evidence is not evidence of absence--especially when Scripture itself says the Nephilim were largely wiped out through divine judgment and war. Archaeology is fragmentary by nature. Entire civilizations are known only by scraps of pottery and half-erased inscriptions.

The British Museum cautiously frames Anastasi I as a military document, not a supernatural testimony. That is fair. But history has a way of whispering truths it does not fully understand. The papyrus does not need to prove angels fell from heaven to validate Scripture. It only needs to show that ancient peoples outside the Bible recorded encounters with unusually large, fearsome tribes in the very regions Scripture describes.

For believers, the takeaway is not triumphalism but reverence. The Bible does not shy away from the supernatural because reality itself is supernatural at its roots. The God who parted seas and raised the dead is not constrained by modern discomfort with angels, giants, or judgment. As Jesus said, "If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead."

Sometimes, though, God allows the stones--and even papyrus--to cry out anyway.

Here;  https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=9478

The skeptics who claim no skeletons have been found would be wise to look at the dozens of newspaper articles the filled local papers across America 100 years ago reporting of farmers clearing land from MN to OH and discovering burial sites containing giant skeletons.  The bones were always said to have been shipped to the Smithsonian for "further study"....and were never heard from again.

Someone wants this story to be covered up...and we are guessing its the Prince of the Earth...Satan.

But Jesus said, "As it was in the days of Noah...", so we think this strange flesh is going to return to the earth following the rapture and may very well have already started.

California is Sitting on Borrowed Time

There will be earthquakes, said Jesus, when explaining what to expect in the very Last Days.

The West Coast is shaking again. In recent weeks, seismic activity along the Pacific Ring of Fire--particularly along California's coastline and inland fault systems--has intensified. What many hoped would be a brief period of tremors has instead become a steady drumbeat of geological reminders that California sits on borrowed time.

In the San Francisco Bay Area alone, hundreds of small earthquakes have been recorded in just days. While most are minor and barely felt, their cumulative effect is unsettling. Earthquakes, unlike hurricanes or wildfires, offer no warning. They arrive without sirens, without forecasts, without mercy. And scientists have been clear for decades: the Big One is not a question of if, but when.

To understand why this matters--far beyond California--we must look honestly at what different earthquake scenarios would actually mean.

When the Earthquake Is "Manageable"

A magnitude 6.0 to 6.9 earthquake, while considered "strong," would be survivable in many areas due to modern building codes. But survivable does not mean painless.

In this scenario, older buildings--particularly unreinforced masonry structures common in historic districts--would suffer severe damage. Power outages could last days. Gas lines would rupture, sparking fires similar to those that devastated San Francisco in 1906. Hospitals would be overwhelmed with injuries. Schools and workplaces would close indefinitely.

Economic losses would likely range from $50 to $150 billion, depending on the location. Insurance companies would strain, but the system would hold. Life would resume--but with scars.

When the Big One Hits

A magnitude 7.5 to 7.9 earthquake along the San Andreas Fault is the scenario most seismologists quietly lose sleep over.

In this case, entire neighborhoods could be rendered uninhabitable within minutes. Bridges and overpasses would collapse. Major freeways--lifelines for commerce and emergency response--would be severed. Ports in Los Angeles and Oakland, critical arteries for global trade, could be shut down for months.

Estimates from past studies suggest thousands of deaths, tens of thousands of injuries, and economic losses exceeding $500 billion. Millions could be displaced overnight.

Communication networks would falter. Cell towers would go down. Internet service would be intermittent or unavailable. In an age where nearly everything--from banking to emergency alerts--depends on connectivity, this alone would amplify chaos.

Temporary shelters would fill immediately. Hotels would be destroyed or unsafe. Rent prices in surrounding states would skyrocket as refugees flee inland. California would not just face homelessness--it would export it.

The Catastrophic Scenario Few Want to Imagine

A magnitude 8.0+ earthquake, though less frequent, remains within the realm of possibility. In this worst-case scenario, parts of California would resemble a war zone.

Water systems could fail entirely, leaving millions without clean drinking water. Fires could burn unchecked for days. Airports would close. Ports would be crippled. Entire regional economies would freeze.

The cost? Trillions of dollars. The humanitarian impact would rival major global disasters. Federal disaster relief would be stretched to its limits, forcing difficult decisions nationwide.

And that's when the story stops being "about California."

Why the Entire Nation Would Feel It

California is not just another state. If it were its own country, it would rank among the world's largest economies. It produces a massive share of U.S. agriculture, technology, entertainment, manufacturing, and international trade.

A major earthquake would immediately rattle financial markets. Stock exchanges would plunge. Supply chains already fragile from years of global instability would snap. Food prices would rise nationwide. Fuel costs would spike. Shipping delays would ripple across the economy.

At the same time, America's global posture would weaken. A nation struggling with a massive domestic humanitarian crisis is less able to project strength abroad. Adversaries would notice. Markets would notice. Allies would worry.

In short, the ground shaking in California would be felt in New York, Texas, Washington, and beyond.

Here;  https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=9486

We hope this is something that won't happen until AFTER the trumpet blows...because after reading the above article, a massive quake in California could turn all of America into a whopping mess, the likes of which none of us can even imagine.

Trump May Offer Asylum to UK Jews

Here is one more real-time sign that Jesus is coming soon.  In the very Last Days the nation of Israel will reappear.  And then God will bring the scattered Jews back to that land.  Many won’t go willingly.  They don’t speak Hebrew, they aren’t sure if their skills will transfer and for many it’s on the other side of the world.  So persecution will grow against them and make them realize the ONLY safe place in the world is the Jewish State of Israel.

It’s ironic that we just commemorated Holocaust Day where the phrase “never again” is spoken and yet the world is turning on Jews so fast that you can see how the 2nd Holocaust of Zechariah is being set up.

*********************

It doesn’t come as a shock that UK Jews, would consider seeking asylum, as they continue to watch their country spiral downward, turning more antisemitic with each passing day.

What, perhaps, is most surprising is their belief that the U.S. is a place where they can feel safer and more protected. Given the enormous rise of attacks against the American Jewish community, reaching nearly 70% in the year 2025, why would anyone think that a move for U.K. Jews, to the U.S., would be a step up?

Nonetheless, according to an article entitled, “US considers offering asylum to UK Jews,” the idea is being floated by US President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Robert Garson.

“Manchester-born Garson is said to have been in talks with the US State Department about providing sanctuary for Jews fleeing antisemitism, given that ‘the UK is no longer a safe place for Jews.’”

One can’t help but think that with the election of self-avowed Muslim Democrat Socialist, Zohran Mamdani, as mayor of New York, the city with the largest Jewish population in the world, that relocating to the U.S., might be like going from the frying pan into the fire.

Just recently, a permit was issued, by the mayor, himself, allowing for vicious anti-Israel protests to take place in the predominantly Jewish neighborhood of Kew Garden Hills, in the borough of Queens, directly in front of a synagogue and Jewish school.

Does that engender confidence or feelings of safety and security for Jews who are trying to escape that same sense of being stalked and harassed just for the ethnic or religious identity they hold?

Sadly, the problem is not just unique to New York. Since the tragic events of October 7th, antisemitic incidents have reached a fever pitch throughout the U.S., including a wide variety of states such as California, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina, Missouri, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington State, Washington D.C., Kansas, Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Minnesota.

Those attacks came in the form of vandalism, vehicle-ramming attacks, arson, firebombing, involuntary manslaughter, assault, hostage taking, gang attacks, public school assignments, stabbings, shootings, murder, lynching and riots.

So, where can Jews feel safe?

With estimates of as high as 315,000 U.K. Jews, how would any country manage to absorb such great numbers, especially one which is seeing a troubling uptick in antisemitic acts.

Sure, everyone understands that immigrating from an English-speaking country to another English-speaking country provides the most comfortable transition for newcomers who have to deal with so many other challenges, not to mention huge cultural differences.

But will the advantage of the same language be of value when faced with the possibility of physical attacks and an apathetic police department which doesn’t come to the defense of its new arrivals?

That is the reality these days. And it’s not necessarily one which is inherent to Jews.  The truth is that if you call 911, complaining that you have been a victim of theft, assault or another criminal act, there is a good chance that no one will be sent to help you. That is the sad but present situation of law enforcement in today’s America.

Overwhelmed by the sharp rise in crime or being instructed to “stand down,” as a result of political considerations, police are no longer the first responders that we once remember. Instead, they have become a weaponized tool in the hands of corrupt municipalities, whose Woke constituents hold these mayors and governors in their back pockets.

Would it not be a wiser move to consider the one place where Jews are assured of their safety, as well as an army which is dedicated to their defense? Sadly, the thought of moving to Israel is seen by many Diaspora Jews as a bridge too far.

They don’t know the language, the cultural gap is too great for them, and then there is the real concern over how they will earn a living. Many professions will not automatically transfer over, without a reasonable grasp of Hebrew, and others may not be possible at all.

For those who work online and can live anywhere in the world, the move might seem less daunting. But what if they have young children?  It is they who often bear the brunt of such a move. Making new friends, fitting in and lagging in school work are the great challenges with which they are faced.

But, perhaps, the greatest consideration of all is properly assessing where one’s family can feel most protected, able to leave the house without fear of being accosted and the freedom to wear clothing and jewelry which is an identifying factor of one’s Jewishness.

Those are all compelling reasons to carefully consider when wondering if it’s the right moment to leave. At a time when U.K. Jews are feeling threatened and no longer welcomed in the country where they have lived for hundreds of years, all these factors should be weighed up in order to determine which geographic place holds the greatest future for the Jewish community.

As this soul-searching is already taking place, it would be wise for Jews to also remember what has been foretold in the scriptures where all nations will corporately come against Israel. (Zechariah 14) We are already seeing a foretaste of those days.

So even if things are still viewed as relatively safe in the U.S., for now, will they remain that way? What will the next five to ten years bring for American Jews and others who migrate there, seeking safer shores?

No one making such a massive upheaval of their life does so with the thought that, perhaps, they will be forced to uproot themselves, yet again, within a few years. The hope is to establish the next generation in a place which can guarantee them a better future.

Sadly, it doesn’t seem as if that is a given in America. As tough as the thought of Aliyah may seem, there are “a wide range of programs that provide guidance and support for successful integration into community life, employment, and housing in Israel.“

Consequently, Aliyah to the Jewish homeland should not be ruled out, because when it comes to the future of the Jewish people, there is no other place on earth that can compare with the State of Israel.
