As this author points out....if you were to take a poll around the world you would discover that most people and governments believe that peace in the middle east is being thwarted by Israel. Most believe that Israel stole land from Arabs and have mistreated them for 60 years and that the Arabs would love to live in peace...if only given a chance. NOT TRUE!!

Arabs Endorse Iranian Strike

We have mentioned already that Egypt allowed Israeli military ships to pass through the Suez canal. Also, it is rumored that Saudi Arabia has given permission for the Israeli air force to fly over their airspace to strike Iran.

Now it is being reported that the Arab states are pressuring Obama to greenlight an Israeli strike on Iran.

JERUSALEM – For the first time since coming into office, President Obama is under serious pressure to study the possibility of an Israeli military strike against Iran, a top Egyptian intelligence official told WND.

The Egyptian official said the pressure does not only come from Israel but also from Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia that are at odds with Iran and its Shiite theocracy.

The official said Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi foreign minister, has been involved in an intense, behind-the-scenes lobbying effort urging the U.S. and other Western countries to do everything necessary to ensure Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons. Such weapons would threaten Saudi Arabia's position of influence in the Middle East.

The Egyptian official said his country believes it is not likely Obama will grant Israel permission to attack Iran.

More Violence in Gaza

This headline is very interesting as it attempts to describe the Gaza violence that has just broken out;

Now lets remember that Hamas themselves are Islamist radicals.

Witnesses said that following the prayers, a group of Palestinians announced the formation of the Islamist "emirate," defying the authority of Hamas, which has ruled Gaza's 1.5 million people for the past two years.
"We are today proclaiming the creation of an Islamist Emirate in the Gaza Strip," Abdul Latif Musa, a representative of Jund Ansar Allah (Soldiers of the Partisans of God), said at the Bin Taymiyya mosque, the witnesses reported.

And of course, when the reporters asked a Hamas offiicial what was going on....you know who he blamed it on.....the Jews!!

"No such groups exist on the ground in Gaza," he said at prayers in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya. He blamed the "Israeli media for spreading this information with a view to turning the world against Gaza."

What's really going on in Gaza? My guess is that the hatred they have brainwashed into their kids over the past 60 years is spilling over onto themselves. Is it any wonder that Jordan, Egypt, Syria or Lebanon won't take Palestinians in as citizens?? They know the seeds that have been planted there...and they don't want them exploding in their own countries.

Watchmen

Jeremiah 6:17, This is what the Lord says, "I appointed watchmen over you and said, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But you said, 'We will not listen.'

The Lord spoke these words to the prophet Jeremiah and he delivered them to Judah (the southern kingdom of Israel) right before the people were overrun by the Babylonians and hauled away to be slaves in Babylon.

Russia Assisting Hezbollah

We have known for sometime that Russian military consultants have been in Lebanon. They showed up when Israel and Lebanon swapped punches during the summer of 2006. Why does this merit watching?? Because Ezekiel 38 tells us that Russia (Magog) will lead a coalition in the Last Days that will attempt to destroy Israel.

Today we now have confirmed reports that Russia's special forces are helping Muslim terrorists (Hezbollah) root out Israeli spies.

This disclosure, if borne out, would indicate that the Russian agency, which specializes in counterespionage, is engaged for the first time in anti-Israel activity in the service of an Arab terrorist organization. An Israeli security source describes this turn of events extremely grave. It also cast an ominous slant on Moscow's deepening strategic involvement in Syria.

It seems like the entire world is beginning to gang up on Israel...even the U.S. is adding to the pressure. Ask yourselves this; who will be left to support Israel when the rapture of the church happens and all bible-believing Christ followers are taken into the clouds? She will truly be on her own....with only the Creator of the Universe left to come to her aid.

12th Imam

We have written and spoken of the 12th Imam in the past. He is also referred to as the Mahdi. Anywho...the Shiite Muslims believe that some little kid has been hidden in a well over in Saudi Arabia for the last 1100 years by Allah...and in the last days will emerge from global chaos to set up the 13th Caliphate and rule the earth with Shariah law...and kill all those who oppose this system.

Hmmm??? Kind of sounds like what the anti-Christ might have in store for anyone who doesn't take the mark of the beast in order to buy and sell. Could it be that the long awaited return of the Mahdi will actually be the anti-Christ that the bible speaks of??

Last week, the leaders of Iran held their Fifth Annual Conference on Mahdism Doctrine. For the past five years, the Iranian religious and political leaders have annually gathered together for two days in the city of Qom for what is called "The International Conference of Mahdism Doctrine," sponsored by the Bright Future Institute. The purpose of the Bright Future Institute is "to introduce Imam Mahdi to the world," to "pave the ground for his reappearance."

So what's up?? Could there really be some supernatural beings who are going to return to earth to fulfill satanic prophesies? The Mayans say that a feathered serpent god is returning in 2012, Share International says that Maitreya is returning to usher in an era of peace, and the Shiites believe the 12th Imam is soon coming. Iran is even widening their streets in Tehran so that his armies will be able to march down them in triumphant victory...so convinced are it's leaders of his return.

Ayatollah Ibrahim al Amini, professor at the Religious Learning Center at Qom, affirms Larijani, when he states that "The Mahdi will offer the religion of Islam to the Jews and Christians; if they accept it they will be spared, otherwise they will be killed."

It makes me wonder if the return of some strange beings during the Tribulation will fulfill the words of Christ. "And there will be false Christs....but don't believe them. For as lighting in the east lights up the whole sky, so will the coming of the Son of Man be."

Wacky Weather

As we have said in the past, we don't even bother posting all the earthquakes that are happening, otherwise we would be posting them everyday. But we will take some time today to talk about planet earth...because it seems to be "groaning" for what it will become in the Millennium when Christ sits on David's throne.

Last week, NBC Nightly news did a 10 minute special on the extreme weather happening all over the globe. Cold in the northeast like they have never seen in summer, rain where it is usually dry, coldest summer ever in the Midwest, 6 inches of rain in Kentucky in a real short period of time that led to the worst flooding ever in that state...the list's go on an on.

Now how about what is happening in Taiwan? They had over 36 inches of rain and it turned the streets into deadly rivers that collapsed the buildings and houses. They are just now getting around to looking for the dead because of mudslides and extreme flooding. Reporters will tell you that Taiwan has never experienced flooding like this.

Now in the past few days, Asia has had so many large earthquakes that they made the front page of the Wall Street Journal....and this was BEFORE today's quake in Japan made the news.

Again, when you put all these strange occurrences on top of all the other signs that are manifesting themselves, that Christ told us to watch for....even a logical person could conclude that something large is happening on planet earth....and maybe something even bigger is yet to come.

Losing Your Head for Christ

Masked men show up at your front door carrying guns and machetes. They forcibly shove you into the back of a truck and put a bag over your head. You can feel that you are being driven somewhere. The truck stops and they take you out and pull the bag off. You can see that are now standing with six other people who you recognize as members of your church. Just the previous Sunday you were all singing hymns together in worship. The masked men tell you to kneel down and since your hands are tied behind your back, you have no choice. You end up kneeling in the middle of the group with three people on your right and three on your left. A large man with a mask and large sword steps out from the kidnappers and proceeds to the end of the line. He asks your friend, "Do you renounce Jesus Christ and accept Islam and the revelations of the prophet Muhammad as the one true religion." Your friend says no, that she can't renounce Christ. With one quick swing of his sword, her head departs from her body and her body crumples to the ground.

The man now moves to the 2nd person and asks the same question. Again, he says no...he cannot renounce Christ. His head quickly leaves his body. The same thing with the person kneeling next to you. The executioner now stands behind you and asks you the same question. Your bowels feel loose. You feel faint. This has to be dream...it just HAS to be. "Am I really going to die today?", you ask yourself. So what do you say?? Are you willing to die for Christ or would you just say the Muslim's words and save your head for another day??

Do you think this sounds like a Hollywood movie? Amazingly, it just happened a few weeks ago in Somalia and such stories are being repeated all over the world as the persecution of Christ followers begins to quicken.

Chuck Missler's email report told of this;

Al-Shabaab continues to murder those who do not bow in the name of Islam. We reported in the July 28th eNews that Al-Shabaab beheaded seven Christian men on July 10th. Even before that eNews was sent, four more Christians were kidnapped on July 27th and later beheaded because they would not renounce Jesus Christ. These Christians were working to help Somali orphans, demonstrating Al-Shabaab's utter contempt for human life.

Al-Shabaab is obvioulsy a Muslim extremist group operating in Somalia. Somalia has turned into a lawless land that is being given over to Shariah (strict Islamic) law to be carried out by young, masked-men in pickups with swords and machetes.

Also, remember your history....this just didn't happen overnight. Somalia started to descend into chaos while Bill Clinton was president. He sent the U.S. military there to help keep the peace and to help the United Nations hand out food and aid.

When militants shot down a U.S. Blackhawk helicopter and proceeded to murder the pilots and drag their bodies through the streets....President Clinton IMMEDIATELY withdrew the military. This event led to the making of the blockbuster movie, BLACKHAWK DOWN.

The Muslim extremists around the world took note of this catastrophe and started realizing that the U.S. has no stomach for death and destruction of it's soldiers and equipment. If they could just kill a handful of U.S. soldiers....we would all run home like little children afraid of the bogey-man.

Sadly, they were right and had a 25 year history to prove they were right. That all ended with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Finally, we were going to stand up to the bullies and thugs riding on religious zealotry who are still responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

But how long are we willing to fight? How many men and women of the U.S. forces will we be willing to lose? How much money do we have in our national bank account to sustain this fight?

I'm glad the Lord has all these things figured out....because the task looks daunting and the bank account appears to have negative numbers in it and hemoraging fast.

Mark 8:38, "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." The words of Jesus.

From the Mouths of Babes

Last Friday, I sent an email to a few friends. Some suggested that I post the email to the blog, so here it is.

I'm sitting at the office here at 4:30 on Friday paying bills and opening mail. I opened a letter from a little girl we support through Compassion International. She is 8 yrs old. She says that she prays for us everyday and prays to Jesus that she will one day get the chance to meet us. I have never written to this little girl as Julie takes that task. Anyway after telling us she is doing well in school she says, "My favorite bible verse is Psalm 73:1... "Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart."

Of all the verses in the bible, why would this little girl, whom I have never met, living half way round the world....chose a verse about Israel? How does a little Indonesian girl have any idea about Israel? How could she have any idea of my intense interest in Israel and the Jews?

She ends her letter with the words, "Shalom"....which I believe is Hebrew?

Personally, it kind of raised the hair on the back of my neck.

Again she says, "I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ that one day we could meet".... I just have to wonder if that one day may be coming soon?....like a really big meeting in the air??...following an intense trumpet blast??

Who knows?

Hollywood Destroys the World

We have pointed out how apocalyptic movies and themes seem to have flooded into existence. Could this be part of Satan's plan to confuse the world? Does he want to saturate the world with so many different Armageddon scenarios that even the "children of the light" will have trouble focusing on The Truth of the rapture and the return of Christ?

Even the Wall Street Journal has noticed this trend in an article titled, HOLLYWOOD DESTROYS THE WORLD.

A flood of postapocalyptic stories is now headed toward movie theaters and TV screens: Expect to see characters fending off cannibals, picking up day-to-day survival techniques and struggling to maintain their humanity amid the ruins. Previous waves of pop-culture disaster, from the Atomic Age paranoia of “War of the Worlds” to Watergate-era flicks such as “The Towering Inferno,” have depicted calamity in stunning detail. Many of the new projects, however, actually skip the spectacle of doomsday. Instead, they’re more fixed on what goes down in the aftermath.

As the article points out, this isn't the first time that Hollywood has focused on cataclysmic themes....but it is the first time it has happened in conjunction with numerous other biblical signs that the end of the age is drawing close.

Israel Quits Buying Dollars

We're not sure if this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back...but we do think it's interesting. The news being reported in the Jerusalem Post is that Israel's central bank is discontinuing it's purchase of U.S. dollars.

The Bank of Israel on Tuesday will stop its program of buying $100 million on a daily basis but reserve the right to intervene in the foreign-currency market, the bank announced Monday.

One has to ask; is this simply a business decision that is being reported? Or is this something prophetic that Israel has had "enough" of U.S. dollars and will start putting it's trust elsewhere? Will the relationship between Israel and the U.S. continue to weaken?

As we have said all along....America was not put here in all it's power and wealthy splendor so all it's citizens can have a "good time" and chase the American dream. No...we were put here to incubate Israel during it's tumultuous birth. We were also put here to be a missions base for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And lastly, we have come to believe that America's last great mission was to free Iraq from the forces of Saddam Hussein so that the prophecies of Babylon can be fulfilled in these Last Days.

When God has no further use for a country and that country has turned from Him....that same country becomes immediately expendable.

Oh yeah....according to the article above, the U.S. dollar dropped 1% of it's value on the global exchange on the news that Israel was done buying them. If China, Brazil, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, India, and 20 other countries, also quit buying U.S. dollars....could the value drop by 80-90%? Of course...the answer is "yes".

No Friend of Israel

I don't need to remind you that God will judge the countries based on how they have treated His bride, Israel.

Increasingly, Obama is being referred to as the least friendly president toward Israel since its founding.

It sure appears as if the Jews in Israel are going to get "change".

Given his words and actions in just six months in office, it should come as no surprise that only six percent of Israelis now regard Obama as pro-Israel. Campaign promises have become "just words" as Obama himself might describe them. Israelis, as the Jerusalem Post-hosted blogger Shmuel Rosner put it, understand what Obama's Change agenda means for them.

More Debt Please!

What's the first thing that most people who find themselves in credit card trouble do?? They call the credit card company and ask if they can have their credit limit increased. That way they don't have to address the root problem of overspending. They can simply shift their problems to some date in the future....and keep living for today.

So what is our Federal Government up to?

Washington -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner asked Congress to increase the $12.1 trillion debt limit on Friday, saying it is "critically important" that they act in the next two months.

Mr. Geithner, in a letter to U.S. lawmakers, said that the Treasury projects that the current debt limit could be reached as early mid-October. Increasing the limit is important to instilling confidence in global investors, Mr. Geithner said.
