Is God Real?

This is an interesting article from Fox News today. It discusses what scientists are saying about God. When it comes right down to it, the deniers of God are terrified of the possibility that they are wrong about their conclusions. They certainly don't want there to be a God since if there was, that would mean they might be responsible to their creator for something.

Tornadoes

As was mentioned on Channel 11 this week, by Belinda Jensen the weather lady, we have had more tornadoes this spring than the nation typically sees in an entire year. Also, we have had more deaths this spring as a result of those tornadoes than we usually have in an entire year.

I am hearing it more and more from all sorts of circles...people everywhere are getting the idea that we are in very strange and uncertain times. They are getting on edge and their security is getting shaken. This is the time of the harvest that Jesus talked about. As Christians, we have the confidence to live in an unsecure world and we should be joyful and encouraging in these times so that people will want to know where our strength comes from. We need to be ready with an explanation at all times.

Israel at 60

Today is the day, when 60 yrs ago, "a nation was born in a day". Most prophecy watchers consider the modern rebirth of Israel the fufillment of Ezekiel 37. Read it for yourselves and decide. If you go to this link http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=64185 you can read a article by David Dolan explaining about the strange and wonderful going's on in the tiny little country that the world can't seem to take it's eyes off of.

Who is the enemy?

Regardless of what you think about the "war on terror", it is interesting to note that most US citizens might not know what to actually call our enemy. In WWII we certainly knew that we were fighting the Nazis, the fascist Italians and Imperial Japan. Ex Senator Rick Santorum wrote this exceptional article for the Philadelphia Inquirer that discusses the current lack of knowledge as to exactly who and what we are fighting for.

Corruption in Israel

This news was just released on Fox; http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,355105,00.html
At the very time that Israel's enemies are gathering to destroy her, (Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, Syria, etc...) the police raid the office of Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert. This will be viewed by her enemies as another sign of weakness and embolden their beliefs that Israel is ready to fall. We remember the word of God that says that when He brings Israel back into the land that they will not be destroyed. But we also know that in the Last Days God will protect Israel supernaturally. (Ezekiel 38-39) When that happens it will be a sign to the entire world that leaders, men and military machines didn't save Israel, but ONLY the hand of God himself.

Many prophesy watchers believe that when this happens, The Church will have already been raptured and will be gone from this earth. As we watch the table being set for all these things to happen we have to realize that Christ may be very close and our time here on earth could be very short. We should be focused on snatching people from the fire.

Getting real obvious

This morning the headlines read "700 dead, thousands buried in China earthquake". You can read about it here; http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5g8-DEMtAE9q4i4ySQ0eV_qZefmRQD90K55NG0

If there is still anyone out there who refuses to acknowledge the alarming frequency of these strong quakes AND the "various" places that they are occuring...they are simply not opening their eyes.

In Matthew 24:8, Jesus says that there will be famines and earthquakes everywhere. Read your bible for yourself as to the translation. But the very next verse tells us, "Then you will be arrested and handed over to be punished and be put to death." If we are seeing the earthquakes and we are seeing the shadows of famines starting to fall all over the land...how close are we to the next happening of persecution that Christ forewarns? I, for one, am a believer in the rapture of the Church and believe it will happen BEFORE the incredibly awful things that are going to befall earth and it's inhabitants. We should encourage each other with these words because I honestly believe that we should be looking up, "for our redemption is nigh".
