New Euro Note is Woman Riding a Beast

Here in America we have some pretty strange symbols on the back of our dollar bills...pyramids, the ALL-SEEING EYE of Osiris, the rising Phoenix, etc...

Now Europe is coming out with a picture on its money that would appear to be somewhat prophetic.

BRUSSELS - In Greek mythology, the Phoenician princess Europa was abducted and raped by the king of the gods, Zeus.

But her image will from next year replace pictures of windows and doors on euro banknotes as a security and decorative feature.

"Portraits have long been used in banknotes around the world and research has shown that people tend to remember faces. Is there any better figure than Europa to serve as the new face of the euro?" the chief of the European Central Bank (ECB), Mario Draghi, said on Thursday (8 November) according to Bloomberg.

She will first appear on the €5 note in May, with other notes introduced in ascending order in the next few years.

See it all here; http://euobserver.com/institutional/118148

Interesting...we have a woman riding a beast...and the photo is on the European money...and MANY prophecy watchers believe that Europe will give rise to the Antichrist....

Is there any mention of a 'beast' in Revelation?  Yes, there is.

And finally, re-read Genesis 6 and understand that fallen angels abducted (took) human women, had intercourse with them and spawned some strange flesh...which led up to the DAYS OF NOAH.

Next understand that Jesus said that the final days before the rapture that ushers in the END OF DAYS will be like the DAYS OF NOAH. "As it was in the days of Noah....", says Jesus.

Now re-read the first sentence of this article...."In Greek mythology, the Phoenician princess Europa was abducted and raped by the king of the gods, Zeus."

What if it wasn't simply mythology?  What if one of the chief fallen angels called himself 'Zeus' and actually did take a woman and rape her...which spawned super-human beings that the Hebrews called 'nephilim'?

As the saying goes, "Truth is stranger than fiction."

A lot to ponder...I know.

Rockets Fired From Egypt Hit Israel

We are watching to see if the fighting between Israel and Gaza will escalate and spread.  And of course we are wondering if we may be seeing the beginning volleys of Psalm 83.

If this headline is true...the violence is spreading.

Two major Israeli newspapers are reporting that rockets fired from Egypt have hit Israel.

"Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched rockets into Israel Friday night," reports the Jerusalem Post. "The rockets fell near an Israeli village on the southern border, causing some damage, but no injuries."

The Israeli daily Haaretz reports, "Rockets fired from direction of Egypt toward Eshkol Regional Council."

It appears no damage was reported in connection with the rocket fire from Egypt. Earlier today, the Egyptian prime minister visited Gaza to express solidarity with the Palestinians there.

This new front comes a day after a rocket landed near Tel Aviv and on the same day Israel's capital Jerusalem was the target of rocket fire. Those attacks were courtesy of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

"After Tel Aviv metropolitan area, capital under fire too: An air raid siren was sounded in Jerusalem and surrounding communities early Friday evening. After residents reported hearing blast sounds, security forces confirmed that one rocket had landed in the Gush Etzion area near a Palestinian village," Ynet reports.

"There were no reports of injuries or damage. This was the first air raid siren sounded in the area since the IDF launched Operation Pillar of Defense in the Gaza Strip. Air raid sirens were sounded in southern communities throughout the day and a barrage of missiles hit the area."

Here;  http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/report-rockets-fired-egypt-hit-israel_663502.html

It appears that the missiles coming from Egypt WERE NOT fired by the Egyptian government but instead were fired by 'terrorists in the Sinai Peinsula'.

Egypt is vowing that they will not sit by and let Israel beat up on the Palestinians.  As Israel masses thousands of troops outside Gaza there is talk that a ground war may be soon coming.

Will Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Muslim fighters from other countries come to the aid of their Arab cousins in Gaza?  Will the images of wounded Arabs in Gaza (some of them faked for the camera) be too much for foreign Muslims to watch?  Will the Satanically inspired hatred of Jews by the sons of Ishmael finally boil over so they attempt one more run at Israel in hopes of destroying her once and for all?

I guess we will need to watch and see.....

Fear of the Lord

I was doing devotions this morning and was led back into Proverbs and ran across some awesome passages that sure seem pertinent to us today.

Solomon was the wisest man to ever live.  Sadly he started strong and ended poorly.  He wrote many of the Proverbs and we can start with this one from 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

What percentage of Americans actually fear (respect, honor) the Lord?  You think a small number??  I think it's a small number.  So of course since FEW of us fear the Lord we can't even BEGIN to have knowledge...and if we don't have knowledge we all become a bunch of fools who despise wisdom and don't want anyone telling us how to live.  Gay marriage, legalized hallucinogenic drugs, live together and 'try it out' before marriage, kids out of wedlock, divorce our spouse when we aren't happy, etc... will all be the result when we 'do whatever we want.'

Let's go on to 1:20 and find out what happens when people despise wisdom;
(the parenthesis are my commentary)

Wisdom’s Rebuke

20 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, (Bibles are everywhere, Christian radio in every city)
she raises her voice in the public square; (is anyone in America listening?)
21 on top of the wall she cries out,
at the city gate she makes her speech:

22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?  (think of TV shows that Americans feast on)
23 Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, (Americans aren't into repentance)
I will make known to you my teachings. (so the knowledge WILL NOT be coming)
24 But since you refuse to listen when I call (empty, lifeless churches across America)
and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,
25 since you disregard all my advice (few actually read and study the Bible)
and do not accept my rebuke, (who needs you?  We are born knowing what we want)
26 I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you
27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, (9/11, tornado outbreak, hurricanes, droughts)
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

28 “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; (Everyone asks, "Where is God in 9/11?)
they will look for me but will not find me, (let's read our horoscope to see what's up)
29 since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the Lord.
30 Since they would not accept my advice (no longer a God-fearing nation)
    and spurned my rebuke,
31 they will eat the fruit of their ways (we will collapse and lose our freedom and security)
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. (Ponzi schemes anyone, 'fiscal cliff'?)
32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them; (a nation where more people know Snooki and Honey Boo Boo than know Jesus)
33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety
and be at ease, without fear of harm.” (Thank you Jesus!!  No one and no thing can snatch me from your hand!)

Friends, we need to spend more time in the Word of God and more time in prayer.  The Satanic deception appears to be growing at an alarming pace.  We need to keep focused on our Savior as the world continues to shake and the foundations of America get ripped apart.

The secular world and news media believe that everything happening with floods, famines and earthquakes is somehow all being caused by global warming.  Since they have no FEAR OF THE LORD they can't possible have any KNOWLEDGE as to what is really happening.

The Lord is stretching out his hand.  Will you be helping the Lord of the Harvest in these last few days, months or years that we all have?...or will we all continue spending more time watching pro football every week than we spend seeking wisdom by the Word of God?

We all have a choice.

Fiscal Cliff and Confidence Issues

By now, many of you know that our entire financial system is based on 'faith and confidence'.  We have blogged on this many times because so many of us are quite clueless on how paper money actually works.

Paper money ONLY works as long as there is faith and confidence in the person/entity/government issuing the paper.

Think about it in REALLY simple terms;  If your father, who has millions of dollars in the bank and huge real estate holdings, were to give you an IOU that promises to pay you $10,000 in 5 years....that IOU would have much more value than one given to you by your 22 yr old college roommate who owns nothing but student loans and doesn't even have a job.

The same thing is true with paper money.  Paper money issued by Zimbabwe has almost NO VALUE because few have any faith and confidence in their government.

One day, possibly soon, the faith and confidence in the USA will falter.  We don't know the trigger (I hope it's the rapture) but when the confidence DOES start to wane the entire financial system could fall over with a HUGE CRASH!

So why is all this talk about 'fiscal cliffs' pretty interesting??  Because it could be another block being removed from the foundation of faith and confidence.  Have any of you ever played the game JENGA?

Here is some more foreshadowing in the news;

Is this fiscal cliff thing going to be resolved soon? If not, will all hell break loose in the markets?? -Jen

The cliff is really more of a slope because the cuts don’t hit all at once on Day One. The tax hikes – if they are allowed to take effect – would raise the average household tax bill by about $68 a week
.
Financial markets are concerned about several different issues. Stock investors are worried that the capital gains tax rate will go up, which is why many are selling now before year's ends. (The Dow Jones industrial average is down 5 percent since Election Day.)

The more worrisome reactions would be from the bond market, where investors are still buying Treasury debt at record low interest rates. If they begin to fear that the U.S. government has lost control of its finances, those rates could go higher. That would be very bad news for the economy.

http://lifeinc.today.com/_news/2012/11/14/15169664-will-all-hell-break-loose-your-fiscal-cliff-questions-answered?

Why would investors currently be buying Treasury debt paying 1.5% per year when inflation is 5%?  Doesn't that guarantee they will lose purchasing power?

Yes it does.  So why do it?...because the world is SO SCARY that investors are willing to put their money in the LEAST WORST place just so the USA will promise to give them their money back in 10 years!!

Can you see the explosion that WILL HAPPEN when the LEAST WORST place (USA) begins to lose control of its finances...and investors begin to panic and DEMAND more interest than 1.5%?  What if they demand 7%?  What if they demand 12%??

Even if we took all the money from all the rich people in America and put that money in the U.S. government's checkbook...would that be enough to pay the interest on $16,000,000,000,000...plus put all the money into Social Security, plus fund all the old people's health insurance in Medicare, plus fund the U.S. military?

The short answer is....NO!

Egypt Threatens to Fight Alongside Palestinians

All the players of Psalm 83 seem to be rattling at the same time.

This morning we awoke to news of 250 rockets fired from Gaza into Israel that killed three Jews in their apartment.  Israel, in response, is lighting up Gaza and preparing for a ground incursion...according to news reports.

And now we have the newly empowered Islamic horde in Egypt ramping up their threats on Israel.

Today, Egypt’s Freedom and Justice Party, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood – a party formerly headed by current President Mohammed Morsi – announced that Egypt would get involved if Israel continued to kill terrorists in the Gaza Strip. Such Israeli action, said the party, would prompt “swift Arab and international action to stop the massacres.” The party also warned that Israel “must take into account the changes in the Arab region and especially Egypt … [Egypt] will not allow the Palestinians to be subjected to Israeli aggression, as in the past.”

The question now is whether the Obama administration will be able to prevent Egypt from attempting overt or covert intervention on behalf of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. If the United States leads from behind – or worse, if they show daylight with Israel – Israel’s security will be in grave danger. Even as dozens of rockets are fired at Israel, the Obama administration has yet to say anything. The Obama administration, by contrast, couldn’t shut up about a YouTube video even as Americans were slaughtered in Benghazi. And Obama continues to tout the Arab Spring as an awakening for freedom and liberty rather than for Islamism.

No wonder Israel’s neighbors in the north (Syria) and south (Gaza and Egypt) are getting aggressive. They have a friend in the White House.

Here;  http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/11/14/Obama-silent-Egypt-Hamas

I probably don't need to remind long time readers that these are some of the players mentioned in Psalm 83.  Now all we need is for Jordan to REMIND Israel that they also will fight for their Arab brothers in Gaza and then for Hezbollah in Lebanon to REMIND Israel they will join the fight.  Syria and Israel have already exchanged live fire.

The players are on stage.

Obama's Election is a Judgment From God

Please listen to this 11 minute sermon from author and pastor John MacArthur.  It is uplifting and very confirming on what we are seeing.

God has given us over to immoral desires of our hearts.

According to Pastor John, judgment has started.

http://www.gty.org/Blog/AB121113

Why is this uplifting?  Because political elections and man-made governments have NOTHING to do with the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Amen!!

Obama's Nightmare

NYT Columnist, Thomas Friedman wrote an article yesterday titled OBAMA'S NIGHTMARE.

Basically he tells the story of how every U.S. President has had it's problem country in the Middle East that they had to deal with during their tenure.

Poor Obama....he may have a full on Middle East war to deal with.

The scandal engulfing two of our top military and intelligence officers could not be coming at a worse time: the Middle East has never been more unstable and closer to multiple, interconnected explosions. Virtually every American president since Dwight Eisenhower has had a Middle Eastern country that brought him grief. For Ike, it was Lebanon’s civil war and Israel’s Sinai invasion. For Lyndon Johnson, it was the 1967 Six-Day War. For Nixon, it was the 1973 war. For Carter, it was the Iranian Revolution. For Ronald Reagan, it was Lebanon. For George H.W. Bush, it was Iraq. For Bill Clinton, it was Al Qaeda and Afghanistan. For George W. Bush, it was Iraq and Afghanistan. For Barack Obama’s first term, it was Iran and Afghanistan, again. And for Obama’s second term, I fear that it could be the full nightmare — all of them at once. The whole Middle East erupts in one giant sound and light show of civil wars, states collapsing and refugee dislocations, as the keystone of the entire region — Syria — gets pulled asunder and the disorder spills across the neighborhood.

So the situation is not hopeless. I know American officials are tantalized by the idea of flipping Syria from the Iranian to the Western camp by toppling Assad. That would make my day, too, but I’m skeptical it would end the conflict. I fear that toppling Assad, without a neutral third party inside Syria to referee a transition, could lead not only to permanent civil war in Syria but one that spreads around the region. It’s a real long shot, but we should keep trying to work with Russia — Syria’s lawyer — to see if together we can broker a power-sharing deal inside Syria and a United Nations-led multinational force to oversee it. Otherwise, this fire will rage on and spread, as the acid from the Shiite-Sunni conflict eats away at the bonds holding the Middle East together and standing between this region and chaos.

Here;  http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/14/opinion/friedman-obamas-nightmare.html

Funny how many of the nations mentioned above are the nations mentioned in the Bible as the Day of the Lord approaches.

As I type this, hundreds of missiles have been fired into Israel from Gaza, Israel has executed the top leader of Hamas, 3 Israelis are dead and Israel is preparing for a ground invasion of Gaza....and that's on the South side of things.  In the North the IDF is on high alert and already has exchanged cannon fire with Syrian forces, Hezbollah is just itching to launch it's missiles in Lebanon and Iran is months away from a nuclear weapon that they would love to have in order to vaporize Israel to usher in the Islamic savior they call the '12th Imam'.

Seriously, if this were all a movie that you were watching at home on a Friday night...this would be the part where you would say, "Let's pause it, refill the popcorn, grab a cold pop and get ready for the big climax of this one!"

Could we be days away from the entire militarized world tumbling into a Middle East explosion?

Israel Kills Top Hamas Commander

I know many of you get Joel Rosenberg's Flash Traffic, but for those who didn't see this today I will cut and paste his comments below.

The world's attention continues to be focused in Israel.  EVERY DAY there is a story on Israel and it's enemies in the Wall Street Journal.

Certainly, she has become a 'cup of trembling'...exactly as the prophets foretold.

BREAKING NEWS FROM ISRAEL: TOP HAMAS MILITARY COMMANDER KILLED IN AIR STRIKE

8 developments this week you need to know about.

Joel C. Rosenberg
(Netanya, Israel, November 14, 2012) -- Night is falling here in the Holy Land. I was just emailing with a former U.S. presidential candidate about the latest developments here in Israel, and I thought I'd share the same information with you. Short version: it's been a challenging week. Here are 8 developments you need to know about.

1.) Syria and Israel have fired at each other multiple times for the first time since the Yom Kippur War in 1973.

2.) More than 160 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israeli towns in the southern tier by Iranian-backed Palestinian terrorists in Gaza since last Saturday, and more than 40 Israelis have been wounded.

3.) Under pressure from Egypt, Hamas is being told to stop firing rockets - and in the last 24 hours or so the rocket fire has slowed significantly. That said, four rockets were fired at southern Israel today (Wednesday), apparently by terrorists operating in the Sinai Peninsula.

4.) Moments ago, news broke that a top Hamas military commander was just killed in an IAF air strike. Now Israelis in the south are awaiting a possible new barrage of rockets from Gaza in retaliation. Still, Israeli officials believe they need to reestablish a deterrence factor by assassinating top Hamas leaders and thus raising the cost of rocket attacks.

5.) Meanwhile, the Palestinian leadership which has lost control of Gaza is moving towards unilaterally declaring a state. It is seeking a U.N. General Assembly vote recognizing the state. At this point, the U.N. vote is set for November 29th, which is the anniversary of the U.N. Partition Plan vote in 1947. Such a unilateral step would be in violation of the Oslo Accords signed by the PLO and Israel which disallows unilateral actions such as this.

6.) The Obama administration is pressuring Palestinian Chairman Mahmoud Abbas not to take unilateral steps, including with a personal phone call by President Obama to Abbas.

7.) Some media reports here say the Israelis are threatening to topple Abbas if he takes such unilateral actions in defiance of signed agreements.

8.) If this all weren't enough challenges, a new IAEA report due out this week will indicate that Iran is steadily moving its nuclear program into deep underground facilities and that there are now 2,700 centrifuges to enrich uranium located in the Fordow facility, close to the religious city of Qom.

As I note in my recently released e-book, ISRAEL AT WAR: "The corridor between Tel Aviv and Tehran is the most dangerous corridor on the planet. And make no mistake: Iran is already at war with the State of Israel. The radical mullahs in Tehran declared war against the Jewish state in 1979. They have been killing Israelis and other Jews ever since. Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his senior advisors are engaged in a high stakes diplomatic, financial and covert war to neutralize the Iranian nuclear threat before the mullahs -- driven by an apocalyptic, genocidal End Times theology -- get the Bomb and the means to deliver it. Now the question is: Will Netanyahu soon order his nation into a full scale, all-out war with Iran that could set the entire Middle East on fire?"

All that said, it should be noted that God is sovereign. As we continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in obedience to Psalm 122:6, the Lord continues to protect the people of Israel, and He loves all the inhabitants of the land, Israeli Jews, Israeli Arabs, Palestinian Arabs, Christians and Muslims. What's more, while there are serious tensions on the Gaza and Syrian borders, most of Israel is very safe. Tourism this year is at an all-time high. Indeed, the number of tourists coming into Israel in September was an all-time record. I've been here since Friday speaking at a pastors conference and I've never felt in danger. The challenges are real, but keep them in context that most Israelis and Palestinians are going about their daily lives without fear or interference. But please keep praying for peace, for wisdom for the leaders here, and for the followers of Jesus Christ to be a blessing to all the people here.

Thanks. Lord willing, I'll continue to keep you updated as best I can.

Israel and Syria Exchange Fire

For anyone how has been watching Psalm 83 this headline news should make you sit up and take notice.

TEL AVIV — After months of fire, Israel has responded to attacks
from Syria.

In the first such operation since the 1973 war, the Israel Army fired a
precision-guided anti-tank missile toward a Syrian Army position in the
Golan Heights. The Israeli fire on Nov. 11 came after numerous incidents of
fire toward Israeli positions.

Over the last month, Israel reported several Syrian Army violations of
the Golan Heights demilitarization zone. In November, the violations
included the entry of three Syrian Army main battle tanks, a mortar landing
near an Israeli community and light arms fire on an Israeli border patrol.

“The message has certainly been relayed,” Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said.

Officials said the Israeli military was bracing for intensified fire
from Syria. They said communities in the Golan Heights have been ordered to prepare shelters for the prospect of Syrian shelling.

“There were several cases in which single rockets fired from Syria
landed in Israel,” Barak said. “I ordered the Israel Defense Forces to
retaliate if this reoccurs.”

"This is a Syrian issue that could become our issue,” Israeli Chief of
Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz said.

Here;  http://www.worldtribune.com/2012/11/12/israel-fires-back-after-month-long-attacks-from-syria/

Those who have been watching Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 and Amos know that this escalation could become quite serious.

David Petraeus Scandal

Most of you are certainly aware by now that the Director of the CIA has resigned because he has been caught in a extra-marital affair.

I have been pondering this breaking news and I believe this thing is going to get a lot uglier before it blows away from the media's attention.

Just this morning it appears that General Petraeus' replacement in the U.S. Army is ALSO going to get caught up in the scandal...so #2 has already been labeled with a 'career ending' mistake.

Also, we wonder if this whole thing could end up putting the Libya attack and who knew what and when did they know it...back on the front burner and FORCE the media to connect the dots that MAY INVOLVE the White House, including Obama and Clinton.  Remember, Petraeus was supposed to tell what he knew about Libya to Congress in his role as CIA director....and now he has resigned from that position.

Now please entertain me some of my further questions;  (insert sarcasm where needed)

1)  If David Petraeus' lover was found out to be a gay man...would the media have been as dogged in pursuing and invading this gay lover's house, phone records, biography and history?  Where would 'don't ask-don't tell have come into play?  Would the media be more sensative to the 'courage' of these gay lovers who were simply acting out the need for gay love...which includes the mandatory gay sex?

2)  Have you seen David's wife?  Have you seen the other woman?  Come on!!  His wife looks old enough to be his mother...ans his lover is young, in shape and a fellow West Point grad.  David was just acting on desires that he was born with.  How can that be wrong??  Doesn't he DESERVE to be happy?  Women, don't judge unless ye be judged!!

3)  If the affair was happening while he was still a General in the Army...he could be brought up on adultery charges.  Ponder me this....if David was a NOT married to a woman, but instead was a gay man involved with a gay, long-time lover....and then he broke it off with his long-time lover and started having gay sex with another man he met the next day at a gay strip club (whom he is now desperately in love with).....could the army still prosecute him for adultery?  Or does that charge only apply to heterosexual men?

Of course I am well aware that being the Director of the CIA means that your personal life has to be 100% in order.  The real fear is that the TOP SPOOK could fall into bed with some Russian spy and then the sexual liaison could be used to blackmail him and put the entire national security at risk.

So yes...I KNOW Petraeus exercised REALLY POOR judgment....but his wife wasn't making him happy....so it was HER FAULT!  : )

USA to Become World's Largest Oil Producer

Not really sure if this news is prophetic or not...but it is interesting none the less.

A new report by the International Energy Association says the U.S. will become the world's largest oil producer by 2017, overtaking current leaders Saudi Arabia and Russia. U.S. energy policies initiated by the George W. Bush administration and implemented by President Barack Obama have moved the U.S. toward energy independence and away from Middle East energy sources. U.S. oil production has risen rapidly since 2008 and oil imports are at their lowest level in two decades.

President Obama says natural gas production could support 600,000 jobs by the end of the decade. Most of these positions are highly desirable from a financial standpoint. Drilling and support jobs pay about $34.50 an hour, 50% more than the national average according to The New York Times.

Here; http://www.cnbc.com/id/49791905

Wow!  Can you imagine how this could change the balance of things if we don't have to buy oil from Muslim nations who hate us?

For now, we are willing to put this article in the column of "good news".

Bride Of Christ is Anti-Semitic

We did a post about this a few weeks ago after 15 protestant leaders wrote a letter to Congress accusing Israel of being a 'human rights abuser'.  They told Congress that they want them to reconsider giving aid to Israel.

Today we have more evidence that the mainline churches are turning on Israel and/or Jews.

At an interfaith conference bringing together Jewish leaders and Protestant Christian pastors outside Jerusalem this week, several of the Christian representatives painted a very worrying picture about the future of relations between Israel and the mainstream Church.

While an estimated tens of millions of individual Christians around the world love and support the Jewish state, many of the mainline Protestant churches have been actively boycotting Israel, encouraging pro-Palestinian activism and demanding that Western governments stop sending aid to Jerusalem.

One of the main Christian representatives at the conference was Rev. Paul Wilkinson, associate minister at Hazel Grove Full Gospel Church in Stockport, England. Over the past few years, Wilkinson has studied up close the phenomenon of what he calls "Christian Palestinianism," a politicized movement that seeks to eliminate Christian support for Israel and transfer it to Palestinian nationalists.

Wilkinson said he is "completely pessimistic in terms of believing that I, we, are going to overturn 2,000 years of erroneous theology that has manifested itself in all kinds of diatribes and anti-Semitic factions" within the Church.

Wilkinson said that what stands behind Christian Palestinianism is classic Replacement Theology, which he called a "Goliath of theology in the church."

Rev. Andrew Love of the United Church of Canada agreed with Wilkinson that exaggerated humanitarian concern for the Palestinian Christians is being as the "rationalization for ultimately what I believe to be anti-Semitic ideas and anti-Semitic policies."

Wilkinson lamented that this hatred for Israel, which harks back to millennia of hatred for the Jews, is rooted "deep in the heart of the Protestant Church," and is unlikely to be uprooted.

Here;  http://www.israeltoday.co.il/NewsItem/tabid/178/nid/23483/Default.aspx?ref=newsletter-20121111

Replacement Theology.  What is it?  Quite simply it is the belief that God is done with Israel and the Jews.  They believe that once Christ came that all who claim Christ become the 'chosen people'.  Typically these folks have a disdain for anything prophetic and they will turn any prophecies about Israel into something that REALLY applies to The Church....or it is all just some sort of non-understandable symbolism.

Of course this is incredibly dangerous for numerous reasons.

I once asked a 70 yr old Lutheran in the ELCA what his thoughts were on prophecy.  His response, "Believing that the Bible can tell us what will be happening in the future is like believing in fortune tellers."

When I pressed him about the prophesies written that foretold Christ....I never heard back.

Remember friends, WE were grafted into the Jewish story called the Bible, NOT the other way around.

Thanks be to God!
