Dalai Lama Opens US Senate With Prayer

I wonder what god actually hears the prayers of the Dalai Lama?

Of course to the liberals of this earth whenever someone prays it's ALWAYS GOOD and it all gets funneled to the same place...the big man upstairs, or some other dumb name.

I remember I pressed one atheist when I asked her about the National Day of Prayer...I asked her if people praying to Satan on that day could cancel out the people who were praying the One True God.  She looked at me with a blank stare...and I never really got an answer.

Dalai Lama to lead US Senate prayers

Washington (AFP) - The Dalai Lama will lead the US Senate in prayer on Thursday as the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader meets leaders of Congress, his office said.

It will mark the first time that the Dalai Lama -- whose activities overseas are strongly opposed by China -- will deliver the prayer that customarily opens each Senate session.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner will later meet leaders of both the Senate and House of Representatives, said Kaydor Aukatsang, a spokesman for the Office of Tibet. A Senate aide confirmed the Dalai Lama's meetings.

China has described the Dalai Lama as a "wolf in monk's clothing" and accuses him of supporting Tibetan independence despite his statements.

The Dalai Lama has traditionally enjoyed wide support across the US political spectrum. Last month, he addressed the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, and he has prominent left-leaning supporters such as actor Richard Gere.

On Friday, the Dalai Lama will address a maximum-capacity crowd at the Washington National Cathedral.

The United States is officially secular, but the Senate has opened each session with a prayer. The chaplain -- since 2003, Barry C. Black -- has frequently invited figures from a variety of faiths to deliver the prayer.

Israel Nabs Iranian Missiles Headed for Gaza

Remember when all the liberals and Israel haters got on that ship a few years back and tried to sail into Gaza as a protest against Israel's policy of stopping and searching boats headed for Gaza?

Well, here is another reason of why that IDF practice is NOT going to end anytime soon.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli naval forces on Wednesday seized a ship laden with rockets allegedly bound for militants in the Gaza Strip, and officials accused Iran of orchestrating the delivery in an elaborate 5,000-mile (8,000-kilometer) journey that included covert stops across the region.

The Syrian-made M-302 rockets would have put Israel's biggest cities well within range of Gaza, where militants already possess thousands of less powerful rockets. During eight days of fighting in 2012, armed groups fired 1,500 rockets into Israel, including several that reached the outskirts of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The naval raid, which took place in the Red Sea hundreds of miles from Israel, came as Iran showed off powerful new ballistic missiles equipped with multiple warheads. The arms bust drew renewed Israeli calls for world powers to toughen their stand in negotiations over the Iranian nuclear program.

"Iran has been exposed for what it is. It smiles in the Geneva talks about its own nuclear ambitions, gives soothing words, and as they're doing that, they're shipping these deadly weapons to the world's worst terrorists," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in California during a U.S. visit. "Such a regime must not be able to have the capacity to make nuclear weapons."

Israel believes that Iran is trying to build a nuclear weapon, a charge Iran denies. Israel says a nuclear-armed Iran would pose a threat to the existence of the Jewish state, citing Iranian calls for Israel's destruction, its development of long-range missiles and its support for hostile militant groups.

Netanyahu has been an outspoken critic of the efforts by six world powers to negotiate a deal with Iran that would substantially scale back its nuclear program in exchange for ending international sanctions. He says a current, interim deal gives Iran too much relief while getting little in return, and fears a final agreement would leave Iran with the capability to make a bomb.

Since the global powers reached their interim deal with Iran last November, Netanyahu's warnings about Iran have been largely ignored by world leaders.

Iran's announcement Wednesday that it now has missiles with multiple warheads, greatly boosting their destructive power, only heightened Israeli concerns. The semiofficial Fars news agency said the new Qiam missile was specifically built to target U.S. bases in the region. Iran already possesses missiles capable of striking Israel and parts of Europe.

That sure is prophetic...no?  Netanyahu is telling the world that Iran is pulling a fast one...and the world's leaders are ignoring the warning!

It sure seems that Israel is going to have to act alone against Iran.  Europe has no guns and no will to stop Iran!  America has no money and no appetite for another pre-emptive war...and really, we wonder why Iran seeking to destroy Israel has anything to do with us??  Team Obama has already been figuring out how they are going to MANAGE a nuclear Iran.

So here again, Team Obama was seen drawing red lines in the sand....and then backing away from them as soon as they were crossed.  What is the world going to think about America following through on our word?

The old saying, "A man's word is his bond" is having some real issues in the USA today.  The nations of the world are wondering what our word is actually worth?  Is it all just talk?  Do we have any teeth?  Do we say what we mean and mean what we say?

It’s like learning yoga—you gain strength from within. The change has to come from the deepest root, and that is our relationship, our reconciliation, with God, the Creator. Abortion is a symptom of all that is wrong in the world, and I believe homosexuality is the same.

What about the sex industry? Is that also a symptom of all that is wrong in the world?

 Yes, it is. I believe in Jesus, and therefore I believe in Satan. The Bible tells us, and I feel it anyway, that he is in control of the world at the moment. The evidence is everywhere. I’m talking about war, starving children, people dying... I mean, that’s really messed up. People are distant from God. Satan has got control, and he’s at the root of it.

Praise the Lord!  Is she bearing fruit??  Yep!  Is her message lining up with scripture??  Yep!  Are we going to see this sister in heaven??  Yep!

God is doing amazing things people!  What an exciting time to be alive!

Israel Internationally Isolated

The Bible says that Israel will be all alone in the very last days.  The nations of the world will gather to destroy them and Israel will finally call out to Messiah Jesus to save them!

So if we know Israel will be isolated during The Tribulation we should expect to see headlines today that foreshadow that coming event.

Obama: US won’t be able to defend Israel if peace talks fail

Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama cautioned on Sunday ahead of a meeting with the Israeli prime minister

In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time was running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal, and added that he believed Netanyahu had the capacity to rally Israel’s citizens behind an agreement.

But if Netanyahu “does not believe that a peace deal with the Palestinians is the right thing to do for Israel, then he needs to articulate an alternative approach,” Obama said.

“There comes a point where you can’t manage this anymore, and then you start having to make very difficult choices,” he said.

The president went on to condemn in no uncertain terms Israel’s settlement activities in the West Bank, and said that though his allegiance to the Jewish state was permanent, building settlements across the Green Line was counterproductive and would make it extremely difficult for the US to defend Israel from painful repercussions in the international community.

Also please note that the world is viewing America as a weakening nation.  We failed in Iraq, we have failed to secure Afghanistan, we let Putin run the show in Syria and now we appear VERY weak in Ukraine and have NO PLANS to pry Putin out of Crimea...even if Bill Clinton did sign an agreement saying we would protect Ukraine from outside forces.

Israel has to be feeling the pressure.  Everything seems to be coming together exactly as God said it would.

Now remember, if we SEE the decorations for Christmas then we can know that Thanksgiving is close.

In the same way, if we SEE the decorations for The Tribulation then we can know that the Rapture is close.

So be joyful and work while we still have daylight!  Our eternity is guaranteed through the work of Jesus Christ!

Conclusive Proof That Men Are Evil

A female orangutan was rescued from a prostitution village.  She had her body shaved, (to look more like a woman) and had been taught to present herself (sexually) when men walked by.

Pony is an orangutan from a prostitute village in Borneo. We found her chained to a wall, lying on a mattress. She had been shaved all over her body.

If a man walked near her, she would turn herself around, present herself, and start gyrating and going through the motions. She was being used as a sex slave. She was probably about six or seven years old when we rescued her, but she had been held captive by a madam for a long time. The madam refused to give up the animal because everyone loved Pony and she was a big part of their income. They also thought Pony was lucky, as she would pick winning lottery numbers.

Oh yeah, they would come in especially for it. You could choose a human if you preferred, but it was a novelty for many of the men to have sex with an orangutan. They shaved her every other day, which meant that her skin had all these pimples and was very irritated. The mosquitoes would get to her very badly and the bites would become septic and be very infected, as she would scratch them constantly. They would put rings and necklaces on her. She was absolutely hideous to look at.

It took us over a year to rescue her, because every time we went in with forest police and local officers we would be overpowered by the villagers, who simply would not give her up. They would threaten us with guns and knives with poison on them. In the end it took 35 policemen armed with AK-47s and other weaponry going in there and demanding that they hand over Pony. It was filmed by a local television crew and in the background of the film when we are unchaining Pony you can hear the madam crying hysterically, screaming, “They are taking my baby, you can’t do this!” There is no law enforcement in Indonesia so these people didn’t face any sentence or anything for what they had done.

Muslims Go To Coptic Priest to Get Rid of Demons

This article, in Time magazine no less, is pretty darn interesting!

It seems that many Muslims in Egypt have demons and their Imams can't get rid of them.  Surprise!!

So what do they do?  They head on over to the Catholic church to see if the name of Jesus can cast them out.

The demon that had possessed the elderly Muslim woman was so strong that even an Imam couldn’t get rid of it. So her family opted for a priest. “My mother is possessed by a jinn,” the woman’s daughter said, by way of explaining why she and her Muslim family had decided to attend a recent Thursday night mass last month at Cairo’s St. Sama’an Cathedral. Her mother, who was slumped over a nearby bench, gave no indication of hearing anything. In a few hours she would be yipping and howling along with dozens of other women similarly possessed, but for the moment she just stared into the middle distance and muttered softly to herself.

Tensions between Muslims and Christians have been high in Egypt, ever since a military coup against the country’s first democratically elected Islamist President on 3 July unleashed a spasm of violence that saw churches burned, priests murdered and Christians threatened in hate speeches broadcast across the country. But there is at least one sphere of Egyptian contemporary life where interfaith cooperation perseveres, and that is at weekly exorcisms performed by one of the country’s most celebrated priests, Father Sama’an Ibrahim. He is one of the few priests in Egypt who can preform exorcisms — not even the Coptic Pope can — and his reputation for expelling demons of all kinds extends well beyond his Christian flock. Muslim Imams can do exorcisms as well, explains the woman, who declined to give her name, but her mother’s case required some extra muscle. “We went to a mosque first for healing, but the demons who harm her are more afraid of the Christian priest.”

For good reason. Father Sama’an is a force to be reckoned with. Inspired by a vision, he carved his church out of the caverns and crumbled rocks of Cairo’s Mokattam Mountain nearly 20 years ago. His congregants were the local Christian garbage pickers who had been corralled into a foul-smelling slum at the mountain’s edge. Nowadays, he draws Christians from across the capital, rich and poor alike. His humble church is now one of the largest in Egypt, with a worldwide congregation tuning in to weekly masses via a live video feed broadcast on Facebook and cataloged online. The Thursday night service, when the exorcisms take place, is held in a vast grotto illuminated with floodlights. Every chair in the 2,000-seat hall is filled. With its mixed-gendered choir singing buoyant gospel in Arabic, the service is more contemporary evangelical than incense-tinged traditional. The homily is upbeat. So far, so Sunday school. The demons are quiet.

Father Sama’an wades through the crowd, dispensing prayers, taps on the head with his cross and jets of holy water. The recently exorcized are carried out by anxious, relieved relatives or left to recover on empty pews. “We need you Jesus. We need you Jesus,” chants a Christian volunteer from the sidelines. In his passionate pleas for assistance he has grabbed the hands of two male Muslim onlookers — family members of the possessed — and urges them to join in. They resist stiffly. Though the demons may be more afraid of a Christian priest, they are still afraid of their Imams.

So the Imams can't get rid of demons??  No surprise there!  Even Jesus said that a kingdom divided can not stand...and since Islam is a force of the devil...why would any demon flee?

Obama Warns Russia...Putin Not Scared

I can just imagine the conversation in the Kremlin;

"Mr. Putin, we just read the Obama is warning you there will be repercussions if we continue our behavior in Ukraine."

"Oooooo.....I'm so scared!!  What's that sissy-girl Obama going to do?...write me a letter??"

"But Mr. Putin, Obama is saying they are going to gather the consensus of the global community to come against us!!"

"Again, ooooooooo.....I'm so scared!  The Europeans don't have enough soldiers, guts and guns to take over Luxembourg!  I mean really, what are they going to do?  And America?  They are counting the days until the can drag their sniveling tails out of Afghanistan....do you REALLY think they are going to do ANYTHING militarily??  Mark my words, in about 2 days a strongly worded letter will show up, but these pussies will never risk a war that WE are prepared to fight."

In Kiev, the country's capital, acting President Oleksandr Turchynov went on national television to accuse Russia of "blatant aggression" aimed at provoking a conflict that could lead to the annexation of Ukrainian territory by Moscow.

Top officials in Kiev said the men who had taken over the airport and the roads—who wore unmarked military uniforms and carried automatic weapons—appeared to be Russian soldiers.

The unrest in Crimea—where Russia maintains a naval base despite ceding control of the territory decades ago—raised the possibility of the de facto partition of Ukraine, a former Soviet republic that gained its independence in 1991.

For the U.S. and Europe, which appeared only days ago to have succeeded in foiling Moscow's efforts to pull Ukraine back into its orbit, the moves presaged a potentially unstable and violent future for the country. The new government has struggled to establish its authority while seeking closer ties—and tens of billions of dollars in financial aid—from the West.

All these are contested territories that Russia's neighbors accuse the Kremlin of using as levers to pressure them. The existence of these territorial conflicts effectively prevents these countries from joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, something Moscow bitterly opposes.

How sad that, as a nation, 90% of the country could name the actors in Ellen's photo, but they can't find Russia on a map.

Another "Crippling" Storm Hits America

Here in Minnesota it is going to go to -20 tonight....yes that is BELOW ZERO and it's March 2!!

What's up with that??  They are saying we are going to break a 140 year record for making tonight the coldest March 2nd EVER!!

I am SOOOOO disappointed in Al Gore as we were looking forward to some warmer winters here in igloo land.

And to our South another massive storm is crippling America from Colorado to Tennessee and then maybe will go on to slam into New York city again.

Another round of blistering snow and ice is taking aim at the East Coast, forcing winter-weary residents to brace for a storm that is slamming the Midwest.

In the latest blast of a harsh winter, forecasters said a layer of ice and 8 to 12 inches of snow was possible by the end of Monday in Washington and the Mid-Atlantic region, while 6 to 8 inches of snow was predicted across parts of southern Pennsylvania. Nearly a foot of snow was expected in parts of New Jersey.

According to Weather.com, a late-winter storm will leave up to 5 inches of snow and sleet in St. Louis, Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio, before hitting Washington, D.C. with up to 6 inches of snow. New York City will reportedly get between 1 and 3 inches of the white stuff.

Ice accumulation is likely Sunday in Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky and West Virginia, and the threat will spread into the mid-Atlantic and Northeast Sunday afternoon and night, the report said.

A round of wintry precipitation moved across much of the nation Sunday, bringing a mix of freezing rain and heavy snow to central and eastern states. Authorities warned of possible power outages and flight disruptions from weather that could affect millions.

Nearly 1,600 flights in the United States were canceled and another 1,515 delayed Sunday afternoon, according to flight tracking site FlightAware.com. Terrorist Attack in China

Some knife-wielding men in China killed 33 people and injured 143.  Here is the headline;

Of course the headline doesn't say what kind of terrorists they are so we are left to wonder...

Are they:
a)  Angry Lutherans who got cut from the men's chorus
b)  Angry Buddhists who are offended over a fat Buddha statue
c)  Angry Episcopalians pushing for more gay priests
d)  Angry Muslims hell-bent on igniting the world for Allah

Now think carefully before you answer....we simply have no clue what kind of terrorists we may be dealing with...it could be any of the above.

Over 10 knife-wielding assailants stormed through a railway station in south-west China on Saturday, killing 29 and injuring 143, in what officials said was a terrorist attack by ethnic separatists from the far west of the country.

Qiao Yunao, a 16-year-old student, was waiting for a train at the station when the attack happened. He said he saw people crying out and running, and then a man cut another man's neck, drawing blood.

“I was freaking out, and ran to a fast food store, and many people were running in there to take refuge,” she told The Associated Press via Sina Weibo. “I saw two attackers, both men, one with a watermelon knife and the other with a fruit knife. They were running and chopping whoever they could.”

Shoot!  They simply don't want to tell us what kind of terrorists...except they want separation from China....Yes, but what kind of separatists would just attack a bunch of civilians waiting for train?

Could Lutherans be that cold blooded?
