Watching, Waiting and Working

It seems there are lots of folks, Christians and secular, who believe that anyone who is watching for Jesus to return probably has a bunker dug, guns and ammo a plenty and prepared to kill anyone who comes too close.  No doubt there are Christians and secular folks who are digging bunkers and preparing for the end of the world...in fact cable TV has a show called PREPPERS that is devoted to looking at these folks and the plans that they make.

But what are TRUE FOLLOWERS of Christ supposed to be doing as we watch for the signs Christ gave us that would tip us off that the END OF THE AGE is at hand?

The answer is simple.  We are supposed to have no fear, no anxiety and lots of love and charity as we re-double our efforts to do the work that the Master gave us...while there is still daylight.

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

C. H. Spurgeon said, "It is a very blessed thing to be on the watch for Christ, it is a blessing to us now. How it detaches you from the world! You can be poor without murmuring; you can be rich without worldliness. . . . untold blessings are wrapped up in the glorious hope."

The Bible says that "faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" (James 2:17). If watching for the Lord's return is the evidence of faith, then working is the evidence of faith in action. We are not only to be eagerly awaiting Christ's return, but we are to be working. Watching will help us prepare our own lives, but working will assure that we bring others with us.

Jesus said there is a blessedness in living this way: "Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching" (Luke 12:37). Another way to translate the word blessed as it's used in this verse is "happy." In other words, "Happy are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching."

In contrast to the servant who watches and works, there is the unprepared servant. Jesus continued, "But if that servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers" (verses 45–46).

Watching and waiting for the return of Christ isn't a miserable, repressive, or confining way to live. Rather, it is a happy, joyful, and purposeful way of life.

Iran Deal Looks Like It's Going to Happen

Another U.S. Senator came forward today to announce she will support Team Obama's nuclear deal with Iran.  This is important because she was the 34th Senator to say she will support it which means the remaining 66 Senators could not overthrow Obama's veto.

Is that confusing?....it won't be after you read the article.

President Barack Obama locked up enough U.S. Senate votes to protect the Iran nuclear deal in Congress as Maryland Democrat Barbara Mikulski said Wednesday she will support the agreement.

Mikulski’s backing guarantees that if Congress votes to disapprove the deal this month and Obama vetoes that measure as he has said he will, the president will have the 34 Senate votes to keep Republicans from overriding his action.

In a statement, Mikulski, who isn’t seeking re-election in 2016, said the agreement was “the best option available to block Iran from having a nuclear bomb.”

On Tuesday, announcements by Senators Chris Coons of Delaware and Bob Casey of Pennsylvania brought the president within one vote of the number he needed in the 100-member Senate.

The deal would ease economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for curbs on the country’s nuclear program. Obama has lobbied hard for Democratic support and has made pitches to U.S. Jewish leaders to counter opposition to the deal by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Two Senate Democrats are joining Republicans in opposing the agreement, while 10 haven’t announced a position. If Obama can gather 41 Senate votes by getting most of those Democrats on board, they could block the Senate from voting on the agreement at all.

The Republican-led Congress has until the end of the day Sept. 17 to pass a resolution disapproving the deal reached in July between six world powers and Iran. Overriding Obama’s promised veto would require a two-thirds vote in the House and Senate.

While Republicans have been united in opposing the agreement, only Senate Democrats Charles Schumer of New York, the third-ranking Democrat in the chamber, and Robert Menendez of New Jersey have joined them so far.

Among the Democrats yet to disclose a position are Maryland’s Ben Cardin, the top party member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and New Jersey’s Cory Booker.

The only uncertain Senate Republican vote is that of Susan Collins of Maine, who remains undecided and is expected to make her decision after Sept. 7.

Of course Iranian military officials were quick to come out with a statement on the entire matter....they screamed, "Death to America!  Death to Israel!!"

When Obama was told this he just smiled and said, "Oh those Mullahs and their generals....they are always saying that kind of stuff...but they are harmless and really don't mean it!"

The Democrats and Progressives are cheering wildly as the news is breaking because they believe this is PROOF that diplomacy can be used instead of military force!!

"Hey Iran?....can you pretty please not make a nuke bomb in the next few years?"

"Screw you!  Release all of our frozen assets and allow us to do our own nuclear inspections and we might tell you what you want to hear!"

"OK!!  You have yourself a deal!!  Now will you please tell all of our friends in the West that you won't build a nuclear bomb for at least 10 years?"

"Yes, it's true. (fingers crossed)  No bomb for 10 years!  Death to America!  Death to Israel!  Death to Great Satan!!  Death to Little Satan!"

"Oh goodness me...it just feels SO GOOD to know that humans can use diplomacy to solve our problems.  And here's proof that the nice Iranian leaders really just want to be loved and respected....and when we give them that love and respect, can you see how wonderful and peaceful life can be?"

Of course Israel is not NOT happy with this deal Team Obama cooked up.  So will the deal avoid war or actually accelerate a war in the Middle East?

And even more important....does this deal America pushed through with Iran mean we are BLESSING ISRAEL or CURSING ISRAEL?

It's being reported that Gov. Chris Christie said that, going forward, every person killed by Iranian funded terrorism, their blood will be on Obama's head.

What Does "Pansexual" Mean?

A top female pop-musician with millions of young girl followers has now come out to the world as being PANSEXUAL.

Great!  Now what the heck does that mean?  Are we going to have to create a new box to check when asked if we are male or female?

Miley Cyrus has been very vocal about her sexuality in recent months, and now she has a new revelation: She identifies as pansexual.

The 22-year-old singer-actress spoke about her sexuality in the October issue of Elle UK, telling the magazine, “I’m very open about it — I’m pansexual. But I’m not in a relationship. I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with.”

Cyrus spoke about identifying as gender fluid and her open view of sexuality last month in Paper magazine. “I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age,” she said. “Everything that’s legal, I’m down with. Yo, I’m down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me. I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”

But pansexuality is not as commonly known of a sexual orientation than, say, bisexuality. What differentiates the two?

Pansexuality “generally means that somebody is open to either falling in love and or being sexually attracted to people of all genders,” sex researcher Debby Herbenick, PhD, associate director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University, tells Yahoo Health.

It’s different from bisexuality, she explains, because bisexuality suggests that there are just two genders. Pansexuals, on the other hand, are open to the idea of being drawn to people who are gender-queer or transgender, as well as those who identify as male or female.

“It just widens the scope,” explains Herbenick.

Increased awareness of pansexuality can likely be attributed to the millennials, Jean Twenge, PhD, a millennial researcher, professor of psychology at San Diego State University, and author of Generation Me, tells Yahoo Health. It seems to be linked to the generation’s desire for individualism.

"Yes, I am neither male or female and I take offense to Bi-sexuals which by the very name suggests there are only two versions of people, male and female!  I prefer to say I can fall in lust with and have sex with ANY HUMAN BEING who is of legal age."

Also notice that Miley must be BESTOPHOBIC because she dissed on those folks who were "born with" (sarcasm) the desire to have sex with animals!  “I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age,” she said.

Just imagine how bad you would feel as a beast by having Miley say she was open to EVERYTHING sexual unless it involved an animal?!  I wonder if she will be made to apologize to those folks she offended?

As this evil generation continues to mock God, we are reminded of the Words He said at the very beginning of mankind's history;
So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
    male and female he created them.

"Sorry God!, I reject those words!," says Miley, "I am living proof that you don't know what you are talking about!  I'm not a male nor am I a female, I am pansexual!  Look it up dawg!"

Two More Articles With the Word "EVER!"

Honestly, what can be the reason why we are experiencing all of these "First time EVER!"  events?  Is it because of man-made global warming that three hurricanes are lined up in the Pacific ocean for the first time EVER?...or could it be because the VERY Last Days are upon us and the birth pangs are getting stronger and stronger?

Three major hurricanes are simultaneously making their way across the Pacific Ocean for the first time in history. (EVER!)

Hurricanes Ignacio, Kilo and Jimena were pictured together by NASA and astronauts from the International Space Station this weekend as they straddled the Pacific from Mexico to Hawaii.
It is the first time that three storms classed as Category 3 or higher, meaning they have the potential to cause major damage, have been pictured together at the same time. 

For a time overnight Saturday and into Sunday, all of the storms reached Category 4, before Ignacio, which is sitting just to the west of Hawaii, weakened back to Category 3.

Next we jump to an article telling us about the largest algae bloom EVER seen in the Pacific Ocean.

From the air, the Pacific algal bloom doesn't look like much of a threat: a wispy, brownish stream, snaking up along the West Coast. But it's causing amnesia in birds, deadly seizures in sea lions, and a crippling decline in the West Coast shellfish industry. Here's what you need to know about it, from what this bloom has to do with the drought to why these toxins could be a real threat to the homeless.

What's causing it? The culprits are single-celled, plant-like organisms called pseudo-nitzschia, a subset of the thousands of species of algae that produce more than 50 percent of the world's oxygen through photosynthesis. They're a hardy variety usually found in cool, shallow oceans, where they survive on light and dissolved nutrients, including silcates, nitrates, and phosphates. "They're sort of like the dandelions of the sea," says Vera Trainer, who manages the Marine Biotoxin Program at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center in Seattle. "They're always there in some low numbers, just waiting for nutrients to be resupplied to the ocean's surface." In most years, blooms in the eastern Pacific are contained near "hot spots" that dot the West Coast—relatively shallow and sheltered places like California's Monterey Bay or the Channel Islands. They usually flare up in April or May as trade winds cycle nutrient-rich waters from offshore depths to the coast in a process called "upwelling," but they fade after only a few weeks.

So just how big is this thing? Bigger than researchers have ever seen: a patchy stream that stretches from Southern California up along the Alaskan coast. The hot spot blooms that appear each spring are merging for the first time, Trainer explains. Though the combined mass has ebbed and flowed over the past four months, it hasn't let up; her team finds algae each time they journey out to sea, with no signs of abatement soon. And it's also unusually potent. "These are the highest levels of toxicity we've ever seen," says Raphael Kudela, a professor of ocean sciences at the University of California-Santa Cruz. "It's a truly extraordinary phenomenon."

Just another day in paradise here in America!!...millions living without a care in the world!....people think things are going to pretty much go on as they always have....oblivious to the idea that maybe they should be heeding the warnings coming from all sides that we are living in an EXTRAORDINARY time and that what we are experiencing are EXTRAORDINARY PHENOMENON.

Cashless Society is Coming

The Bible tells us that one day EVERY MAN will need some type of mark on his right arm or his forehead in order to buy or sell anything.  For the past 2000 years since Jesus gave John The Revelation men have been reading that passage and claiming it must have some sort of spiritual meaning....because how could it EVER be that all the people of the world could be using the same currency that requires a mark??

Today we know it's not simply a spiritualized event that John saw....it's an actual event!  What's even more exciting is that we are the very first generation to possess the technology capable of fulfilling everything mentioned in Revelation.

Today we find an Op-Ed in the Financial Times which is proposing getting rid of all the cash on planet earth....because it's dirty, it's used for illicit activities and it robs the FED and other central banks of the ability to make negative interest rates if people are holding trillions in cash.  The article says that we need to give the FED even more power so that they can mitigate the next disaster or financial bubble.

The Financial Times has published an anonymous article which calls for the abolition of cash in order to give central banks and governments more power.

Entitled The case for retiring another ‘barbarous relic’, the article laments the fact that people are stockpiling cash in anticipation of another economic collapse, a factor which is causing, “a lot of distortion to the economic system.”

“The existence of cash — a bearer instrument with a zero interest rate — limits central banks’ ability to stimulate a depressed economy. The worry is that people will change their deposits for cash if a central bank moves rates into negative territory,” states the article.

Complaining that cash cannot be tracked and traced, the writer argues that its abolition would, “make life easier for a government set on squeezing the informal economy out of existence.”

Abolishing cash would also give governments more power to lift taxes directly from people’s bank accounts, the author argues, noting how “Value added tax, for example, could be automatically levied — and reimbursed — in real time on transactions between liable bank accounts.”

The writer also calls for punishing people who use cash by making users “pay for the privilege of anonymity” so they will, “remain affected by monetary policy.” Dated bank notes would lose their value over time, while people would also be charged by banks for swapping electronic reserves for physical cash and vice versa.

The article echoes an argument made by Kenneth Rogoff, former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund, who has called for high denomination banks notes such as the €100 and €500 notes to be phased out of existence.

As we previously reported, Rogoff attended a meeting in London earlier this year where he met representatives from the Federal Reserve, the ECB as well as participants from the Swiss and Danish central banks. The issue of banning cash was at the forefront of the agenda.

Last year, Rogoff also called for “abolishing physical currency” in order to stop “tax evasion and illegal activity” as well as preventing people from withdrawing money when interest rates are close to zero.

The agenda to ban cash was also discussed at this year’s secretive Bilderberg Group meeting, which was attended by the Financial Times’ chief economics commentator Martin Wolf.

Former Bank of England economist Jim Leaviss penned an article for the London Telegraph earlier this year in which he said a cashless society would only be achieved by “forcing everyone to spend only by electronic means from an account held at a government-run bank,” which would be, “monitored, or even directly controlled by the government.”

In the UK, banks are treating the withdrawal of cash in amounts as low as £5,000 as a suspicious activity, while in France, citizens will be banned from making cash payments over €1,000 euros from Tuesday onwards. The withdrawal and deposit of cash over the amount of €1,000 euros will also be subject to ID verification.

“There is no more egregious anti-liberty economic policy imaginable than banning cash,” writes Michael Krieger.

“Of course, if cash were involuntarily “ended,” there would be a surge in demand for physical gold and silver, which would then necessitate a ban on those items. Then the cycle of economic and financial tyranny would be complete, and crawling our way out of it, nearly impossible.”

So if cash were "ended" there would be a huge demand for gold and silver...which would necessitate a ban on those items too!  Please remember that it was ILLEGAL for US citizens to own physical gold from about 1934 to 1974 by Executive Order 6102...and if it was illegal once it would be pretty easy to make it illegal again.

"But Dennis, they could never do that here in America....that would make people riot in the streets if the government one day made cash illegal!  This is America!"

Well, yes, that's true....maybe we would riot in the streets, just like they are doing in Venezuela as I type!  But if the government rolls out the military to stop all the rioting and just shove their cashless plan through as they declare martial law to try and keep the USA from disintegrating....then we have the entire stage set for the rest of Revelation to play out.

As Jan Markell is fond of saying, "World events are not spiraling out of control...they are actually falling into place."

We can rest assured that GOD IS IN CONTROL OF IT ALL....so fear not.

Polygamy Talk on Mainstream Media Again

Of course, anyone with a brain KNEW that once the definition of marriage was stricken down from being, "one man and one woman" that other folks would try to get THEIR definition of marriage thrown into the confusion.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A polygamous family says the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage shows that laws restricting consensual adult relationships are outdated, even if certain unions are unpopular.

Kody Brown and his four wives argue in court documents that their reality TV show "Sister Wives" shows polygamous marriages can be as healthy as monogamous ones.

"The Browns were investigated and no crimes or harm was found in their plural family," attorney Jonathan Turley wrote in court documents filed Wednesday in front of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has said the family is prepared to take the legal fight to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.

The Browns are defending a legal victory they won in 2013, when a federal judge struck down key parts of Utah's law banning polygamy. Advocacy groups for polygamy and individual liberties called the ruling a significant decision that removed the threat of arrest for the state's plural families.

Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes appealed, saying courts have long upheld laws banning polygamy because they prevent abuse of women and children.

Unlike same-sex marriage advocates, the Browns are not seeking full legal recognition of polygamous marriages. That portion of Utah's bigamy law prohibiting multiple marriages license was left in place by U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups when he decided that a provision of the state law forbidding cohabitation violated the family's freedom of religion.

In most polygamous families, the man is legally married to one woman but only "spiritually married" to the others.

The teaching that polygamy brings exaltation in heaven is a legacy of the early Mormon church, but the mainstream Salt Lake City-based Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints abandoned the practice in 1890 and strictly prohibits it today.

Awww!!!  How tragic?!  Some of the wives are only "spiritually married" to the man?  That sure seems confusing!!  What happens to all the "spiritual children" that those wives produce?  Are they eligible for Family Healthcare through the husband's employer?  Are they eligible for Social Security disability and retirement benefits?

Rest assured friends....the attacks against what God ordained as "marriage" will continue from numerous fronts until Jesus returns for His bride.  And if Jesus tarries much longer we will, no doubt, witness multiple men and women marrying and insisting that the states recognize their polyamorous marriages.  We will see women asking to marry their chimpanzee they will claim is their true "soul mate" and we will see people marrying who REFUSE to identify as either MALE OR FEMALE so the state will reside over a marriage that is devoid of the pronouns 'he' and 'she' and instead both parties will just be called "ze".
