UN Agency "Broke" as Syrian Refugees Pile Up

As homes and businesses continue to be blown to smithereens in Syria, the people run for their lives and really have no place to go.  They try crossing the borders into Jordan, Turkey or Lebanon and hope to make it into a UN refugee camp.

Now remember, these folks have literally run from their homes with nothing but the shirt on their backs.

So how long can the United Nations feed, house, toilet and shower these folks?  Where does the United Nations get the money to do this?

How many nations can implode and then require United Nations refugee support before the United Nations simply runs out of money, tents, toilets and showers? 

What will all these people do now that their cities, towns and homes are reduced to rubble?

A UN agency has said it will soon be unable to provide "life-saving" aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan and other countries due to funds running out.

"The needs are rising exponentially and we are broke," said Marixie Mercado, a spokeswoman for children's charity Unicef.

Some 1.2 million Syrians have fled since the uprising began in March 2011.

Around 385,500 have escaped to Jordan, with figures set to triple by the end of the year, Ms Mercado said.

This would bring the number of Syrian refugees there close to 1.2 million - the equivalent of one-fifth of Jordan's total population.

"Since the beginning of year, more than 2000 refugees have streamed across the border [into Jordan] every day," Ms Mercado told reporters at a UN news conference in the Swiss city of Geneva on Friday.

I wonder if Saudi Arabia would ever pony up a few $billion to feed and house their Arab cousins?  How about the Iranians?  They all claim to care so much about the Palestinian Arabs....how about supporting the Syrian Arabs?

Yeah...that ain't gonna happen. 

So instead it will still be up to the "rich" Western Nations to figure out a plan how to clean up the mess that Islam is creating...because Lord knows they won't help each other.

And now that the rich Western nations are shown to be bankrupt....there are really gonna be some serious problems coming with millions upon millions of displaced, hungry and unhappy Arabs that no one has the money to feed.

At this point all we can do is pray that these people will have their hearts softened to the message of Jesus Christ.  It would be nice if we humans would come to Jesus during times of plenty and times of blessings....but sadly many of us only come through intense hardship, misery, pain and suffering.

So if that's what it takes to open their eyes to their failed system of Muhammad and Allah...then let's pray for the Lord of the Harvest to work His wonderful ways as big segments of Islam begin to collapse.

"Global Warming" Melts 1600 Years of Ice in 25 Years

Last April in Minnesota it was 80 degrees.  Some folks pointed to it then as more evidence of global warming.

Yesterday it was snowing and we had a fire going in the wood stove and the snow drifts are still 3 feet deep out behind the barn.  Of course some folks will point to this cold weather and also say it is more evidence of global warming.

And yes, other folks will say "The weather has NOTHING to do with the global warming discussion!"

I gotta be honest, I'm not the smartest man on planet earth...but when I hear someone say that last statement....it makes no sense to me what so ever.

So in Google News today there is an article about a glacier melting in the Andes Mountains.  The global warming crowd is pretty agitated because they drilled into the ice and discovered the glacier is 1600 years old!  But now in the last 25 years it is being reduced to puddles.

In what is a profound visual display of the earth’s increasingly warmer temperatures, glacial ice in the Andes that took a minimum of 1600 years to form have melted drastically in a mere 25 years, leaving behind a large pool of water framed by exposed rock and diminished beds of ice. As the ice melts, plants from thousands of years ago are being freed.

Did you catch that folks?!?!  The plants are being freed after thousands of years stuck in the ice!!

Now remember...I'm just a simple man, but....if there were green plants growing there at one time centuries ago and now they are being freed....isn't it possible that the earth is just returning to a time when green plants will grow there again??  Couldn't that be a "good" thing?

So maybe the last few hundred years have just been an anomaly?  Maybe the earth is really just trying to get back to normal?  Maybe someone will farm the ground and feed their family in the Andes where this nasty glacier has been covering the soil?  Maybe the deserts around the world are going to start to get green as rainfall increases?  Maybe they will grow corn in Northern Minnesota to feed a hungry world?

OR...maybe North Korea will set off a nuke and really heat things up on planet earth?

OR....maybe a massive volcano will explode and send so much ash into the atmosphere that the world will almost freeze to death?

The bottom line is that humans have no control over volcanoes, solar storms, ocean currents, wind, ozone layers and methane gas.  The arrogance of man to say, "we are going to change the weather of earth" is simply staggering.

I would suggest that man stay ready to adapt to changing environments....just like he always has.

The "Gray Divorce" Boom

It used to be that older people who had been married for a really long time simply didn't get divorced.  The stuck it out...because they had made a promise.

But no longer!  If Al Gore can chuck Tipper and Arnold can shuck Maria...and they are in their 60's...why can't the rest of us shed our old wives and trade them in for someone younger, and more fun?  After all...you only go around once in life...why not have it be as fun as possible?

Until recently, it would have been fair to say that older people simply did not get divorced. Fewer than 10% of those who got divorced in 1990 were ages 50 or older. Today, 1 in 4 people getting divorced is in this age group.

It turns out that those high-profile breakups of Tipper and Al Gore, and Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, were part of a trend. Baby boomers, who drove the huge increase in divorce that began during the 1970s and persisted through the early 1980s, are at it again. Just as they have transformed other arenas of U.S. social life, boomers are now reshaping the contours of divorce.

Jesus doesn't leave us simply because we are sick, poor, or "no fun" anymore...and marriage is supposed to be a symbol of this unconditional love that Christ has for us.

But of course, the world wants NOTHING to do with the things of God.

So now we do whatever feels good.

This nation is literally running away from God.

1 in 4 Americans Think Obama is The Antichrist

Uh-oh.  This can't go well for building unity in America.

About one in four Americans suspect that President Barack Obama might be the antichrist, more than a third believe that global warming is a hoax and more than half suspect that a secretive global elite is trying to set up a New World Order, according to a poll released on Tuesday.

The survey, which was conducted by Public Policy Polling, asked a sample of American voters about a number of conspiracy theories, phrasing the questions in eye-catching language that will have the country's educators banging their heads on their desks. The study revealed that 13% of respondents thought Obama was "the antichrist", while another 13% were "not sure" – and so were at least appeared to be open to the possibility that he might be. Some 73% of people were able to say outright that they did not think Obama was "the antichrist".

The survey was carried out in order to explore how voters' political beliefs impact on their willingness to embrace conspiracy theories – it did indeed find that the partisan divide that is blamed for many problems in Washington DC also extends to the world of paranoia, aliens and Sasquatch. For example, when it comes to thinking global warming is a hoax some 58% of Republicans agreed and 77% of Democrats disagreed. While 20% of Republicans believed Obama is the antichrist heralding the End Times, only 13% of independents did and just 6% of Democrats.

"Even crazy conspiracy theories are subject to partisan polarization, especially when there are political overtones involved. But most Americans reject the wackier ideas out there about fake moon landings and shape-shifting lizards," said PPP president Dean Debnam.

Also, for the record...I do believe in Bigfoot!!  But he isn't some sort of lost human stuck in an evolutionary stage.  Nope!  I believe it is just another deception being manipulated by the Prince of the Earth.  Did you realize that many Bigfoot sightings coincide with UFO sightings in the area?

DOW 3300?? Real Estate Collapse?? Gold at $750??

As we all know, the DOW stock index has been very volatile.  In fall of 2007 it reached over 14,000...only to fall down to 6500 in March of 2009.  Since then it has now climbed back to 14,500.

But where is it going from here?

The fact is that NO BODY KNOWS.

One reason it has been climbing is because the Federal Reserve has been pumping $billions of dollars of "created out of thin air" currency into the system.  With that much money flooding the financial system and bank interest rates at near 0%...the money simply HAS TO GO into the stock market...thereby driving up stock prices.

Back in 1990, I was at a financial convention in Las Vegas and heard a man named Harry Dent speak.  He told us very clearly that he believed the stock market was going to go up HUGE because all the baby boomers were in their peak spending years.  When millions of people with lots of cash and good paying jobs start buying stuff, it heats up the economy and drives corporate earnings up...thereby driving up stock prices.

Also with all those folks adding to 401(k)'s and other retirement plans, which mostly invest in stocks...stock prices had only one way to go...and that was up!

He was correct on that call.

After the presentation, I asked him what happens when all those same baby boomers start retiring and selling those stocks?  Could the same rising market come crashing down?  He told me, "Yes".

Today, I received this email from Harry Dent's organization.  He is now saying the market is going to tank...IN A REALLY BIG WAY!

Is he going to be correct??  Could some people get totally wiped out...while others may end up with "the most lucrative and rewarding time of your life"?

Who knows??

What I do know is that the Bible clearly says that right before Jesus returns to the earth, the financial systems of the kingdoms left on earth are going to be wiped out...and lots of folks who initially made lots of money during the first half of The Tribulation are also going to be wiped out.

The Bible clearly tells us to lay up our treasures in heaven.  Only when they are on deposit in the Kingdom of God will moth and rust never destroy them.

 

Of course we still need to buy groceries and make mortgage payments until the Lord returns in the rapture for us...so the thousand dollar question is; "How much do I keep for earthly reasons and how much to I send on ahead?"

 

That is certainly a question that we all need to be asking Jesus directly through daily conversations with our Savior.

TYRANNOSAURUS DEBT

I recieved this link today in a financial newsletter that comes to me about once per week.

The link takes you to a video from School House Rock.  Many of us probably remember this series of educational cartoons that were played on Saturday mornings in between the REAL cartoons.

In the video, called TYRANNOSAURUS DEBT, please understand that it was written in 1996 when our National debt stood at $5 trillion.

Today it is close to $17 trillion. 

I believe most of us realize that this fiasco simply can't continue.  One day our cheap borrowing will all end.

What we don't know is WHEN that day will be. 

We also don't know how disruptive that day will be to our lifestyles.

  Will America enter into a slow fade like Great Britain did 100 years ago?...or will it be a terrifying run on the banks which leads to riots and unrest as we are witnessing in other countries who have hit their credit limits?

EMP Destroying America In Headlines Again

If a nuke was ever exploded in the atmosphere above the USA (called an Electro Magnetic Pulse) it could collapse our power grid.  If the electricity went out for months...America would descend into anarchy and chaos and would very likely not survive.

The concern is so great that U.S. officials who watch North Korea closely are continually monitoring the status of the North Korean “space launch vehicle,” whose status could suggest a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the United States.

This concern recently has been reinforced by a little-publicized study by the U.S. Army War College that said a nuclear detonation at altitude above a U.S. city could wipe out the electrical grid for hundreds, possibly thousands of miles around.

The impact would be catastrophic.

“Preparing for months without a commercial source of clean water (city water pressure is often dependent on electric pumping to storage towers) and stoppage of sewage treatment facilities will require net methods of survival particularly in populated areas,” the military study said.

The May 2011 study, titled, “In the Dark: Military Planning for a Catastrophic Critical Infrastructure Event,” concluded that there is “very little” in the way of backup capability to the electric grid upon which the communications infrastructure is vitally dependent.

"Downfall of Civilization and Jesus Will Come Back'

This article in Time caught my attention because I saw the words, "Jesus will come back."

A singer named Michelle Shocked, told her CA audience (many of whom were gay) that "God hates fags!"   It turns out that many of her fans had always assumed that the singer was gay herself.

There’s never a good time or place to go on an anti-gay tirade, but onstage at a club in San Francisco owned by a gay man, in front of many gay fans, is probably near the bottom of the list.

Michelle Shocked, a singer-songwriter whose sexuality was once fairly ambiguous, stunned fans Sunday night at Yoshi’s Jazz Club with a homophobic rant, according to USA Today. The 51-year-old singer reportedly said that if California’s Proposition 8, which effectively bans gay marriage, is overturned, “it will be the downfall of civilization, and Jesus will come back.”

As her rant went on, fans left the show en masse. Yahoo Music reports that Yoshi’s sound operator, a gay man, finally pulled the plug and asked Shocked to leave the stage, though she managed to shout “You can go on Twitter and say, ‘Michelle Shocked says God hates f–s!’” to what remained of the confused audience before departing.

The fact that Shocked was widely believed to be gay makes the whole thing no less, well, shocking. After beating out the Indigo Girls and Tracy Chapman for a 1989 Grammy, Shocked joked that the award should have been for “Best Lesbian Vocalist.” And in a 1990 interview with the now-defunct Chicago gay dispatch Outlines, she talked about the fluidity of her sexuality, waxing nostalgic about her first sexual experience with a woman.

But Shocked became a born again Christian and joined the West Angeles Church of Christ choir in the 1990s; in 2008, she told gay newspaper the Dallas Voice that she considers homosexuality a sin.

It is a sad story really.  God doesn't hate people with homosexual desires anymore than he hates all men who have lustful desires. (which is about 100% of men during some part of their lives)  And declaring yourself to be a Christian and then screaming "God hates fags!" at a bunch of gay people is certainly NOT what Jesus would have us do.

God hates sins...not sinners.

However, please remember that if you die in your sin without the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ to cover you...you will not be entering the Kingdom.

As our pastor said a few weeks ago, "There are two roads at death...one leads to eternal separation from Christ, called hell, and the other leads to Christ.  It's your choice what road you choose."

Gateway to "Hell" Discoverd in Turkey

Here is a pretty interesting article that has found its way onto the front page of Google News today.

It gives us a glimpse into the Satanic practices that were being done on earth...and which Christ came to free us from.

A “gate to hell” has emerged from ruins in southwestern Turkey, Italian archaeologists have announced.

Known as Pluto's Gate -- Ploutonion in Greek, Plutonium in Latin -- the cave was celebrated as the portal to the underworld in Greco-Roman mythology and tradition.

Australia and China Say "Goodbye" to US Dollar

We have been warning about this movement for some time now...movement AWAY from using the US dollar as a "reserve currency".

Remember, the US dollar has a built in demand in that every nation uses it to transact business.  But as countries figure out that our dollar is NOT "as good as gold"....they will come up with ways to NOT USE IT anymore.

This will most certainly have the effect of chipping away at the value of our currency.

Also remember that we have had the dubious advantage of owning the printing press on the world's ONLY reserve currency for over 70 years now.

What will happen when the day comes that we can't simply PRINT our way out of problems...

Can you spell the word U-N-R-E-S-T?

A month ago we pointed out that as a result of Australia's unprecedented reliance on China as a target export market, accounting for nearly 30% of all Australian exports (with the flipside being just as true, as Australia now is the fifth-biggest source of Chinese imports), the two countries may as well be joined at the hip.

Over the weekend, Australia appears to have come to the same conclusion, with the Australian reporting that the land down under is set to say goodbye to the world's "reserve currency" in its trade dealings with the world's biggest marginal economic power, China, and will enable the direct convertibility of the Australian dollar into Chinese yuan, without US Dollar intermediation, in the process "slashing costs for thousands of business" and also confirming speculation that China is fully intent on, little by little, chipping away at the dollar's reserve currency status until one day it no longer is.

Needless to say, China is eagerly looking forward to taking yet another bite out of the USD's reserve status.

Most importantly, to China, Australia will serve as the Guniea Pig - should this experiment in FX liberalization work out to China's satisfaction, expect Beijing to engage many more trade partners in direct currency conversion.

Why is this so very critical? For the simple reason that the free lunch the US has enjoyed ever since the advent of the US dollar as world reserve currency, may be coming to an end as other, more aggressive alternatives - both fiat, and hard-asset based - to the USD appear. And since there is no such thing as a free lunch, all the deferred pain the US Treasury Department has been able to offset thanks to its global currency monopoly status will come crashing down the second the world starts getting doubts about the true nature of just who the real reserve currency will be in the future.

Islamic Flag Over White House

Remember what the media repeatedly tells us....ISLAM IS PEACE....and please ignore all evidence hitting us in the face everyday from just about all the Muslim nations.  Also please ignore the problems Muslims are causing in non-Muslim nations throughout Europe as they become more emboldened in their Islamic demands while living in non-Islamic societies.

Can it happen in America? 

A video of a Friday sermon before hundreds in Egypt capture this promise from a leading cleric: It’s only a matter of time before the flag of Islam flies above the White House.

The video, reported by The Arab World, quoted the cleric as saying this: “I swear to Allah almighty Sharia will be implemented, I tell you, not only in Egypt. Sharia will be implemented in and govern the entire world.”

The unnamed cleric went on: “This is the word of Allah and his messenger [Muhammad]. … I swear by Allah almighty, I swear, I swear the Islamic flag will be raised above the White House.”

The cleric said to be patient and for followers of Islam to keep working toward that goal, The Arab World reported.

“I swear by Allah almighty — I swear by Allah almighty this will happen,” the cleric said in the video.

We need to save these people from the fire by showing them love, building a relationship and then being ready to offer the words of Christ.  We need to continue to support the Christian cable programs that are beaming the Gospel into Muslim lands and converting Muslims by the thousands EVERY DAY!!

If we fall for the lie that Islam is simply another DENOMINATION...we will NEVER try and evangelize them....and they will die and head to an eternity WITHOUT CHRIST.

Only a Few Will Find It

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. -Jesus-

I wonder how many of you are like me in your thought process as you reflect on these words...specifically the word "few"?

Do you find yourself at a hockey game, the beach, the mall, the grocery store, etc... looking at all the people there and wondering how many of them started their day with devotions to Jesus Christ? 

How many of them read their Bibles regularly and believe it to be the inspired Word of God?

How many are concerned about discovering their gifts and making disciples for Jesus Christ?

How many are aware that SOMETHING BIG is getting ready to take place on planet earth?

How many are excited for the trumpet call and the voice of the archangel calling us up into the clouds to meet Jesus Christ?

How many are so in love with this world and so clueless on the UNSEEN THINGS that they will be just like the people during the days of Noah?

The Vatican and UFO's

Many of you have told me that you "aren't really buying" the whole alien, UFO connection that we have drawn. 

We, and many other prophecy watchers, believe the "aliens and UFO's are actually fallen angels that have been making themselves more visible in these Last Days because they are going to play a huge part in a massive deception that Satan is cooking.

If this is true, Satan has been wildly successful in these past 50 years.  Belief in "aliens" and the space ships they are driving (UFO's) have skyrocketed all over the earth.

The part the Vatican is playing in this grand scheme to control what some would-be masters perceive will be a universal utopia, under the benevolent auspices of fellow beings from far-flung places in the cosmos, is examined in depth in this volume. For my readers who find this possibility all simply too fantastic to believe...I would recommend that you re-read Genesis 3 and Genesis 6 and try to answer the questions of "who exactly is the "seed of Satan" mentioned in the curse God puts on the serpent?  And secondly, "who exactly were these fallen angels that were abducting women, having sex with them and producing hybrid beings called the Nephilim" in Genesis 6?

 

And finally I would suggest you pick up the Book of Enoch.  Enoch walked with God and then God took him...so he never died.  As you read this book, you will quickly discover that he names the fallen angels who came up with the plan to corrupt the human gene-pool by mingling their "seed" with the "seed of the woman"....and many believe that was the reason for the flood of Noah.

 

Jesus reminds us that in the Last Days before His return it will be, "as it was in the days of Noah."

 

Pretty darn interesting is what it all is...that's for sure!
