U.S. Troops Not Prepared for Russia & China

Now that Obama has officially said he wants to use our military to help combat global warming....this headline really shouldn't come as a surprise.

GENERAL SAYS ARMY AT HIGH RISK IN WAR AGAINST CHINA, RUSSIA

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Army's top general says military forces on the ground face a high level of risk if the United States gets into a large-scale conflict against a power such as Russia or China.

Testifying Wednesday on Capitol Hill, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley says years of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, constrained budgets and troop cuts have had a cumulative effect on the service.

Milley says the Army is ready to fight the Islamic State group and other terrorist organizations.

But what Milley describes as a "great power war" against one or two of four countries - China, Russia, Iran and North Korea - would pose greater challenges.

Milley says the Army's readiness is not at a level that is appropriate for what the American people expect to defend them.

We hear reports that our soldiers have to spend valuable training time listening to lectures on how not to offend gays, transgender, lesbians and atheists they may run into while in the shower...and we are going to bet the Russians and Chinese are using training time to teach actual war training....so that also could play into the Generals comments about how unprepared we would be to fight them.

I'm reading a book about the Ezekiel 38 prophecy and the author believes that one day (of course it will happen sooner than anyone believed it would) Russia and China will both attack the USA at the same time and knock us off our defense.  This will then set the stage to explain why it is that NO ONE stands ready to come to Israel's aid...and as the forces of Russia, Iran and Muslim states gather to destroy the Jews...Israel stands all alone.

Again, most prophecy watchers believe this will happen AFTER THE RAPTURE, it is amazing to watch the news headlines and see how the players are all being set up.

We personally believe that if the rapture happened today, America would be in serious trouble tomorrow.  We believe that the disappearance of millions of Americans would cause such a shock to the financial system and our military, that we would be very vulnerable to an outside attack.

We believe that once the enemies of Israel see America hamstrung and laying on the sidelines that they will use our absence as the catalyst to put together a plan for Russia to seize Israel's oil and gas while the Muslim horde uses the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of killing all the Jews and destroying Israel once and for all!

Of course they will fail....because on the Day, God will defend Israel.

Trump as President Deemed Major Risk

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit, if Donald Trump becomes President, that event will be one of the TOP 10 risks facing the world.

Donald Trump winning the US presidency is considered one of the top 10 risks facing the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.

The research firm warns he could disrupt the global economy and heighten political and security risks in the US.

However, it does not expect Mr Trump to defeat Hillary Clinton who it sees as "his most likely Democratic contender".

He is rated as riskier than Britain leaving the European Union or an armed clash in the South China Sea.

China encountering a "hard landing" or sharp economic slowdown and Russia's interventions in Ukraine and Syria preceding a new "cold war" are among the events seen as more dangerous.

"Thus far Mr Trump has given very few details of his policies - and these tend to be prone to constant revision," the EIU said in its global risk assessment, which looks at impact and probability.

The EIU ranking uses a scale of one to 25, with Mr Trump garnering a rating of 12, the same level of risk as "the rising threat of jihadi terrorism destabilising the global economy".

"He has been exceptionally hostile towards free trade, including notably Nafta, and has repeatedly labelled China as a 'currency manipulator'," the EIU said.

It warned his strong language directed towards Mexico and China in particular "could escalate rapidly into a trade war".

Mr Trump has called for a "big big wall" to be built on the US-Mexican border, paid for by Mexico, to keep its illegal immigrants and drug dealers out of the United States.

So, according to this risk assessment, it would be BAD if Donald gets elected, BUT, he has little chance of beating Hillary in the general election if he does get the nod from the GOP.

Wow.  What strange times we live in!

I'm sure happy we can all smile at the events happening all around us and continue to be joyful!

Others might ask us HOW we can be joyful as we watch America slide into immorality and idol worship, the global economy on the edge of an abyss, and apocalyptic leaders like Iran and North Korea threaten all of humanity with nuclear weapons?...how can we be joyful??

Simple answer!  Because God is on His throne and laughs at all these crazy leaders and the nations in distress!

As followers of Christ we are ALIENS just passing through this foreign land!  We won't be here much longer and we constantly keep our eyes on our REAL native land!  A place where we will be the Bride of Christ and inhabit our REAL home which is the mansions made by Jesus Christ just for us!

Jesus IS returning to rule and reign!  And we who have accepted Him as our savior have nothing to fear!  Our place in eternity is carved in stone!  We know where our eternal home is and are JOYFUL because of it.

White House Finally Says "Genocide"

I'm going to guess that most of my readers are well aware that Muslim "extremists" have been killing and chasing Christians out of various Muslim dominated countries for some time now.  When one group of people tries to exterminate another group of people, it's called "genocide'.

But Team Obama has had a hard time saying the word.

Why?

Because Team Obama has a hard time saying "Muslim extremists" and, in fact, has issued statements saying the word "Muslim" in conjunction with "terrorists" is verboten.

So of course Team Obama doesn't want to admit that Muslims are killing Christians in what is clearly genocide....BUT maybe today we see some light at the end of the tunnel?

Kerry: ISIS Is Committing Genocide Against Yazidis, Christians and Shiite Muslims

Secretary of State John Kerry said Thursday that ISIS has been committing genocide against religious minorities in the Middle East — just the second time the executive branch has used the term in relation to an ongoing conflict.

The formal designation comes days after the House passed a nonbinding resolution by a 393-0 vote condemning ISIS atrocities as genocide.

"Daesh is genocidal by self proclamation, by ideology and by actions," Kerry said in a televised address, using another name for the Sunni militant group. "We must recognize what Daesh is doing to its victims."

"Naming these crimes is important but what is essential is to stop them," he added.

He enumerated a list of atrocities against Shiite Muslims, Christians and Yazidis at the hands of the Sunni extremists that led to the designation.

"Daesh is also responsible for crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing directed at these same groups and in some cases also against Sunni Muslims, Kurds, and other minorities," Kerry said, noting that it was impossible to know the full scale of the extremists' atrocities.

Kerry took care to highlight the plight of the Yazidis, a Kurdish minority ISIS branded as devil worshipers and who have been killed and starved by the thousands.

Many were saved with the help of the U.S. but "not before Daesh captured and enslaved thousands of Yazidi women and girls, selling them at auction, raping them at will, and destroying the communities in which they had lived for countless generations," the secretary of state said.

Kerry also gave examples of Shiites and Christians being slaughtered, forced to flee their homes and compelled to convert to ISIS' extreme version of Sunni Islam.

Christian groups had heaped pressure on lawmakers to ensure ISIS actions against members of the religion were included in any consideration of genocide.

The Obama administration had come under pressure for its reluctance to use the term genocide, which is strictly defined under international law.

Kerry's announcement came after Congress demanded the State Department determine if ISIS atrocities constituted a genocide.

Fireworks erupted at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing last month when lawmakers grilled Kerry over why the State Department had not yet branded ISIS massacres of Christians a genocide.

"The whole world knows Christians are being slaughtered in the Middle East," Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican and frequent critic of the Obama Administration, said at the hearing.

Now that the word GENOCIDE has been used, maybe the world body will be forced into further action?

We won't hold our breath....because we realize that "boots on the ground" are almost certainly needed to stop this genocide....and Team Obama has proven time and time again that "boots on the ground" seems to be something this Commander in Chief has promised his supporters he would never use....and the dark forces of this world know it...and they scoff at his weakness and indecisiveness.

During WWII and the genocide against the Jews, the world refused to believe the reports that were coming to them from the death camps across Europe....until finally they had no choice but to acknowledge it.  6 million Jews died in horrendous ways.  The saying, "Never again!" is posted at the Holocaust Museum....but maybe they will just prove to be idle words?

Will Obama Blackmail Israel?

Obama has made such a mess of the Middle East that he is getting desperate to try and salvage some type of positive legacy there before he leaves office.

Will he get so desperate that he would be willing to blackmail Israel in one last attempt to restart the "peace process" with the Arabs of Palestine?

As Vice President Biden arrived in Israel this week, word leaked about yet another "peace plan" designed by the Obama administration. There isn't much new in it. According to The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. might support a UN Security Council resolution calling on "both sides to compromise on key issues," and it might involve the Middle East Quartet. Israel would be told to stop building in the territories and recognize East Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian State. The Palestinians would be told to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and give up the "right of return" for the original 1948/49 refugees and their descendants.

Just do it and voila! Problem solved.

Why and why now? Because President Obama is looking at the fires he lit in the Middle East and North Africa, and desperately hoping to salvage something, anything, from the conflagration before he leaves office and needs another job. Israel will be pushed to provide at least one "victory." Consider the list of Administration failures right now and the terrible destruction they have entailed:

In his first foreign visit, President Obama opened the door in Egypt to an uprising not only of "Google people" in Tahrir Square, but also to the Muslim Brotherhood. Brotherhood representatives were front and center at the President's speech in Cairo's Al-Azhar University, to the dismay of longtime ally Hosni Mubarak. After Mubarak's overthrow, the White House pressed for the inclusion of the Brotherhood in Egyptian elections despite its history of terrorism. Since then, the U.S. and Egypt have been unable to find a way to communicate constructively, despite Egypt's increasing closeness to Israel and their joint interest in controlling the terrorist Hamas and Iranian-sponsored jihadis in Sinai.

The Muslim Brotherhood was emboldened in Syria by its successes in Egypt.

The Syrian civil war and the rise of ISIS -- both in some measure precipitated by the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq – have killed upwards of 350,000 people (more than 55,000 in 2015) and displaced nearly 4 million more. Chemical weapons, starvation, beheadings and aerial bombing are weapons of choice by various sides. Russia is calling the shots (literally) in Syria, while Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia continue to fund various jihadi groups, and Iran operates freely in both Iraq and Syria. Hezbollah, despite taking enormous casualties in Syria, continues to add to its missile arsenal in Lebanon.

This is a far cry from 2011, when President Obama announced the U.S. was leaving a "sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq." An Iraqi non-governmental organization estimated that more than 17,000 civilians were killed there in 2014, double the number from the previous year and four times as many as 2012, after the U.S. withdrew its combat forces.

Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey have all been destabilized by an influx of refugees from Syria and Iraq. Lebanon, a fragile country of less than 4.5 million people divided into Shiites, Sunnis, Christians and Druze, now has more than one million Syrian refugees.

Afghanistan was the "good war" in President Obama's narrative. At West Point at the end of 2009, President Obama announced an additional deployment of 30,000 American soldiers to stabilize Afghanistan and nuclear-armed Pakistan. Six years later -- 15 years after we got there -- American military leaders told him the Afghan government still couldn't survive without a continuing American military presence. Since the administration decided to leave a contingent of nearly 10,000 soldiers for an indefinite period of time, the Taliban has refused to continue peace talks with the Afghan government, and we're looking at another bloody summer. Terrorist bombs in Pakistan are a daily occurrence.

Libya was supposed to be a test of our "responsibility to protect." It also had, from the President's point of view, the benefit of "leading from behind" and having "no boots on the ground." After successfully ousting Moammar Gaddafi -- who had turned his WMD program over to US and UK intelligence, kept al-Qaeda from moving from Egypt to Western North Africa, and paid reparations for terrorism -- the U.S. acknowledged as many as 30,000 Libyan deaths in two months of war.

The war in Mali was a direct result of the demise of the Gaddafi government and the raiding of government weapons depots by al-Qaeda-supported Tuareg forces. Only the direct involvement of French troops saved the government there. The deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods, and Glen Doherty are attributable to the rise of al-Qaeda there as well. Today, there are as many as 1700 armed gangs across Libya and ISIS controls Sirte, a city of more than 100,000. The Pentagon is drawing up plans for U.S. military action to force ISIS out, we are again bombing Libya and there are American Special Forces on the ground.

Meanwhile, the U.S. bombed an al-Shabaab training base in Somalia this week, killing more than 150 members of the group.

Iran has come closer to nuclear weapons competence in the past eight years. And President Obama's abandonment of dissidents and pro-democracy advocates in Cuba, Venezuela, China, Turkey and Iran paves the way for waves of repression and bloodshed around the world.

The widespread wreckage and carnage that accrues to President Obama's policies and fantasies should disqualify him from further activity on the international stage when his term ends. But since retirement doesn't appear in the offing, he needs to find a "success."

Cue the Middle East "peace process."

Syria Was War Practice for Putin

So the big news, while I was out of town for a few days, is that Putin has decided to take his toys home from Syria.  He says he has accomplished what he set out to accomplish.

So did he?

He bombed the crap out of anyone who was trying to shove Bashar Al Assad from office, including the "rebels" that USA supports.  In doing so they gave Assad some more time to shore up his defenses and work on his offense. He also put the world on notice that Russia is VERY capable of moving huge amounts of planes, tanks and soldiers into a battlefield in a very short amount of time. And maybe most importantly, this was a dress rehearsal for a huge war that Russia believes may be right around the corner and most likely will involve the USA.

Putin's chilling warning to the West: Syria campaign was PERFECT training for war

VLADIMIR Putin has issued a thinly-veiled threat to the West, warning his military campaign in Syria has prepared Russia's armed forces for all-out war.

In a speech hailing the perceived successes of Moscow's bombing raids in Syria, the Russian president said he could build up the country's presence in the country within hours if needed.

He said the five-and-a-half-month campaign, which activists say has claimed thousands of civilians lives, demonstrated Russia's military might.

Daily sorties of Russian fighter jets cost the country 33 billion roubles (£336million).

But Putin insisted the costly operation had been a price worth paying to bolster President Bashar al-Assad and Russia's influence in the region.

Thanking the armed forces for their service, he declared that the operation had provided better training for a future war than any war games on home soil could.

Russia will continue to support the Syrian government in the fight against Islamic State and other extremist group, including the equally dangerous al-Nusra Front.

To help in that aim, Putin said he was leaving behind the S-400 air defence missile system that is equipped to bring down a commercial or fighter plane.

Speaking in the Kremlin at a medal ceremony for military personnel who served in Syria, Putin also sought to dampen any talk of a rift with Damascus, saying Moscow's partial withdrawal from Syria had been agreed with Assad.

He said: "If necessary, literally within a few hours, Russia can build up its contingent in the region to a size proportionate to the situation developing there and use the entire arsenal of capabilities at our disposal."

Chris Woods, director of monitoring group Airwars, said: "Any strategic benefits of Russia's intervention have come at a bloody cost to civilians, with all local casualty recorders in agreement that 2,000 or more non-combatants have died.

"Thousands more opposition fighters have also died, in a Russian campaign which has outstripped the coalition both in terms of tempo and aggressiveness."

Quite frankly, the world has no idea what to do about Russia.  Russia has the idea that the USA and The West are attempting to push every nation in the world into a New World Order...and I'm not so sure he isn't exactly right!  Obama has a vision for the world that is vastly different than what it has been these last few decades.  Obama has created a catastrophe in the Middle East.  He has no idea what he is doing and amazes our friends and allies with every stupid move he makes.

Russia doesn't want to play any part in Obama's reindeer games and Putin is a proud nationalist who is resurrecting the "Mother Russia!" language and rallying his people around the idea that they may have to stand alone to stop the world from forcing them into a NWO that includes a central government.

Again....he may be right on the money!

Putin acts with decisiveness and almost without fear.

Why?

Because he, and the rest of the world, already know that Obama isn't going to do anything to threaten Russia....just like he did nothing to back up his threats to Syria regarding chemical weapons use.

And who else in the world is capable of standing up to Putin's army?

As one analyst said, "America is now viewed by much of the world as the country that speaks loudly but carries no stick."

The more we watch Putin the more we believe he is VERY MUCH a candidate to carry out the role of Gog of Magog mentioned in Ezekiel 38.

Please remember as you re-read this passage that most prophecy watchers believe that this Ezekiel 38 prophecy will happen AFTER Christ comes for His bride.

So, please don't be surprised if the trumpet blows announcing that Christ has shown up to claim His bride...a bride He paid for 2000 years ago and for which He has been preparing a place for and that he will come and "take" all believers to.

Ted Koppel Book "Lights Out"

I have no idea how I missed this news from last fall, but Ted Koppel has a new book out warning America what will happen if we lose our electricity.  We have blogged about this possibility numerous times over the past 8 years.

Imagine a blackout lasting not days, but weeks or months. Tens of millions of people over several states are affected. For those without access to a generator, there is no running water, no sewage, no refrigeration or light. Food and medical supplies are dwindling. Devices we rely on have gone dark. Banks no longer function, looting is widespread, and law and order are being tested as never before.  

It isn’t just a scenario. A well-designed attack on just one of the nation’s three electric power grids could cripple much of our infrastructure—and in the age of cyberwarfare, a laptop has become the only necessary weapon. Several nations hostile to the United States could launch such an assault at any time. In fact, as a former chief scientist of the NSA reveals, China and Russia have already penetrated the grid. Among the nation’s estimated three million “preppers,” we meet one whose doomsday retreat includes a newly excavated three-acre lake, stocked with fish, and a Wyoming homesteader so self-sufficient that he crafted the thousands of adobe bricks in his house by hand. We also see the unrivaled disaster preparedness of the Mormon church, with its enormous storehouses, high-tech dairies, orchards, and proprietary trucking company – the fruits of a long tradition of anticipating the worst. But how, Koppel asks, will ordinary civilians survive?

Dawkins: "Protect Children From Religion"

As the very Last Days come into view, Bible believers will have a more difficult time instilling a biblical world view onto their children.  One day it may even become illegal to tell your kids the true story of Noah or any story the government deems untrue.

Today we find famous atheist Richard Dawkins in the news saying parents should not be allowed to tell their kids about God and their religion.

DUBLIN, March 4, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The government needs to protect children from the religious views of their own parents, according to popular atheist writer Richard Dawkins.

His speaking partner went further, comparing parents instilling their religious views in their children could be compared to denying them medical treatment.

In an interview prior to a speech at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, last week, Dawkins told the media that parents have too much influence in their children's education, especially when it comes to religion.

“There is a balancing act and you have to balance the rights of parents and the rights of children, and I think the balance has swung too far towards parents,” Dawkins told the Irish Times. “Children do need to be protected so that they can have a proper education and not be indoctrinated in whatever religion their parents happen to have been brought up in.”

He added, "You have to write off those people" who value the Bible over science.

Dawkins was in Ireland, along with physicist Lawrence Krauss as part of a tour promoting Arizona State University’s Origins Project. He also came to lend his support to the activist group Atheist Ireland, which is promoting a campaign to remove religious education from schools.

Krauss concurred with Dawkins, saying the state must restrict parental rights as part of its mandate to "properly educate its children."

“That means parents have a limited, it seems to be, limited rights [sic] in determining what the curriculum is,” Krauss said.

Negative Interest Rates

In what kind of a crazy, upside-down financial world must we be living in where people will actually loan their money to a bank or government and willingly accept that less money will be returned to them 10 years later?!

Negative Interest Rates Are Connected to Bible Prophecy

As long as money has been in existence, there have been people willing to loan it out to others for a fee. Our records for interest rates go back 5000 years. The highest recorded interest rates occurred during the Persian Empire 539 B.C., when a brutal taxation system forced people to borrow money at 40 percent. The historic average for interest rates is 4 percent. 

We currently live at a time when interest rates have never been so low. When historians reflect back on 2016, a remarkable statistic likely to be noticed with amazement is how people were willing to accept a negative return on their money. 

Not until 2014, were negative interest rates implemented by a major central bank. The European Central Bank forced rates below the negative milestone by lowering the deposit rate to 0.2 percent in September, 2014. With that being the top rate for money, a number of other European nations turned to negative interest rates. Today, we have over $7 trillion in government-issued debt with negative yields. 

The standard argument for negative rates is the need to fight deflation. Central bankers claim that lower prices cause people to hoard cash. By placing a tax on money, people are be motivated to go shopping. So far, negative rates have failed to increase spending. 

The real reason for negative interest rates is to underwrite support for the massive debt loads of the world’s debtor nations. If rates were to rise to their historic average, the U.S., Japan and most European nations would be unable to fund their federal budgets. 

Japan is in the worst shape. Last year it spent just under 100 trillion yen, but took in hardly 50 trillion yen of revenue. The reality of a nation with a mountain of public debt having reached 300 percent of GDP—means that it cannot afford to pay even a half a percent on money. With Japan hopelessly addicted to deficit spending, soon, negative rates will not be enough to keep them afloat. 

Negative interest rates create a ticking time bomb by increasing the value of existing bonds. As rates go down, the value of the bonds go up. Bonds issued a few years back with a 30-year maturity and a 2 percent coupon rate responded this way: When interest rates dropped to zero, the bond rose in value by 34.7 percent. A bond selling at a face value of $1,000 before the interest rate drop, would have risen to $1,347, for a gain of $347. 

If interest rates where to suddenly normalize, there would be a catastrophic loss for existing government bonds. Japan just had its 30 year bond—hit .47 percent. If rates where to soar to 4 percent, a freshly minted bond with a face value of $1,000, would decline to $300. If rates rose 8 percent, the same bond would only be worth $92. 

Japan is in demographic nightmare; with its working age population set to plummet from 78 million to about 52 million over the next 30 years. It already has 31 million retirees, and that number is projected to hit 36 million by 2060. Bondholders in Japan should be demanding Persian Empire type rates to cover their risks. 

The United States is not far behind Japan. We face the same problem with an aging population, which will cause our debt levels to soar in the coming years. However, unlike Japan, our debt is not self-funded. Our strategy involves the rest of the world buying our Treasury notes. When we get to the point of needed negative interest rates, the world will probably balk at such a deal. 

It is truly amazing to watch the world’s financial system hold together. A meltdown has not occurred because Jesus said the time of His return to rapture His Church would take place at a time of peace and safety. For interest rates to have drifted into negative territory in order to maintain this period of stability—demonstrates how much we are on borrowed time.

Mass Exorcism Needed in Mexico

I'm blogging from my iPad again for a few days and it makes posting to the blog difficult so I will be brief.

We have posted in the past about Saint Death which is worshiped by many in Mexico.  He/she is represented by a skeleton and is popular with drug cartels as they will offer him human sacrifices to keep their drugs safe.

Obviously, when you start bowing to a satanic demon...demons will show up and nasty events will manifest.

Mexico is being swept by a wave of satanic ritual killings with exorcists saying there is an unprecedented demand for their services.

Father José Antonio Fortea, a leading Mexican exorcist, who once ordered the mass exorcism of the whole country, has warned of an increase in satanic ritual killings.

Edwin Juarez Palma, a 24-year-old restaurant worker, was beaten, strangled and had his neck slashed with a broken bottle by the proponents of the vampire cult during a ceremony intended to turn him into a vampire, the Sun wrote.

Police said that the young man was killed after being fooled into taking part in an initiation ceremony to become part of a satanic cult called the Sons of Baphomet 1.

Instead he was tortured after having his hands tied behind his back after one of the alleged killers persuaded the others that their victim should be sacrificed so he could return to life as a vampire. Two men and one woman, later arrested in connection with the killing, admitted that they belonged to the Sons of Bahomet 1 cult.

Police Chief Pablo Rocha said: “This crime took place during an initiation ceremony led by a satanic sect called Sons of Baphomet 1 during which the victim was supposed to become a vampire.”

The Mexican drug cartels reportedly pray to Santa Muerte for protection from the police and from death. They ask the skeletal saint to watch over their shipments of drugs and offer up human sacrifices to her.
