Last Days Invasion by Spiritual Forces in the Heavenly Realms

 We've been warning about the "aliens" coming to earth on this blog for the past 15 years.  And every year the headlines speak more about UFO's, UAP's, abductions, cattle mutilations and sightings of strange flesh.  The governments of the world aren't even denying the phenomenon anymore.  They just shrug their shoulders and say, "these craft are 'off-world' vehicles."  What the heck does that mean?  They just let folks come up with their own conclusions about WHO is manufacturing these crafts somewhere other than planet earth.

Today we find the boss at Rapture Ready delving into the topic again.  It's worth the read and confirms what we have been pointing at all these years. Please note that some of this article was first posted 19 years ago!

Author’s note: This article was first published on Monday, June 12, 2006. Considering we are, I believe, in the time that’s “as it was in the days of Noah” foretold by Jesus (Luke 17:26), I believe it’s good to again think a bit on the obvious invasion from the evil dimension the world faces.

We know of the violence taking place in the world today. It might even be equal to the violence of those antediluvian times. However, the other primary evil of Noah’s day is a bit harder to equate to this day and time.

The other “evil” I refer to is the corruption that had infected the entire world and caused God, following the death of Methuselah, to destroy everyone on earth except Noah and his immediate family.

Most who study the Genesis record–myself included—believe the genetic contamination that had corrupted all flesh came from the fallen angels who had sexual relations with human women, producing the Nephilim. That “corruption” doesn’t seem to be the tack of Satan in this day and age. I, at least, haven’t heard of such corruptive intermingling (except within the fiction coming from the entertainment industry).

But we can be sure Satan’s intention remains the same: He wants to corrupt God’s order of things, especially the order of things related to humanity.

The devil continues to do his worst in this regard. We see this effort at every turn. You don’t have to be either a male or female; you can now be whatever you wish. More than one hundred genders are possible, I’ve heard.

The AI phenomenon is now experimentally employed to meld in some way with human flesh–particularly with the brain—to create superintelligent beings that, some scientist types claim, are beyond human. Hormone infusion and surgical invasions are used to attempt to recreate humans in bizarre ways that confound rationale.

So, the corruption of the order God created is under assault. We know this from Ephesians 6:12 and the struggle against the principalities and powers in high places the Apostle Paul described.

This all tells us God is about to again intervene into the affairs of humankind and all the evil corruption like He did in Noah and Lot’s day. I therefore present this article again, written long ago, but more relevant than ever as we “look up” for our Lord’s call to “come up here!”      

Last-Days Invasion

We just observed D-Day in honor of the Allied forces who invaded parts of Europe, the action that began in earnest the drive toward victory over Hitler’s Nazi military in 1944. Last week, I wrote about how June 6, 2006, was honored by much of the media to hype a movie, The Omen, which was released that day.

The “D” seemed to stand for “Devil-Day” in that 6/6/06 instance, rather than for the D-Day celebration in remembrance of sacrifices made by Allied troops invading Normandy and the other beaches on June 6, 1944.

I would like to continue dealing with thoughts about the present invasion taking place. This contemporary assault is infinitely more deadly than the dangers faced in that long-ago invasion of France. It is infinitely more dangerous because it is–in truth—supernatural. In other words, it involves eternal matters. It involves the spiritual world rather than the physical. I should say it involves the spiritual world MORE than the physical world, because the two are intricately intertwined.

Again, I see two primary areas of Holy Scripture involved in this warfare. Both emphasize the supernatural dangers and spiritual nature of the warfare:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

So, Satan is the general leading this end-time assault. He leads some quite terrifying forces in his stalking back and forth upon the earth:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

With but a modicum of effort in searching through the Word of God about end-times things, we can see how the contemporary assault by Satan and his forces of evil links to the devil’s past efforts. And, we can see where it is all leading in this wind-up of human history.

These last-days things are fresh in my mind while I promote my novel, The Rapture Dialogues. The subtitle, Dark Dimension, says it all. The end-time warfare is with extradimensional, not extraterrestrial, beings. We can identify these supposedly unidentified flying objects if we open our minds and hearts through spiritual discernment written about in 1 Corinthians 2:14.

The link between the human, fleshly elements of this conflict and the supernatural or spiritual elements is undeniable if we properly analyze and dissect the matters involved.

Jesus–the Greatest of all Prophets (because He is God), said the following:

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).

Jesus said history would repeat itself. Things will happen almost precisely like they did in Noah’s day before the Flood and in the days of Lot and the destruction of Lot’s hometown, Sodom, and nearby Gomorrah. What happened that was so grievous to the Lord that He determined to erase these societies from the earth’s surface?

I believe it was sin, of course, speaking in general terms. Sin always ultimately brings God’s wrath and judgment. The wages of sin is death, Scripture tells us. But I see a much more specific sin that lies at the heart of the civilizations mentioned in those judgments of the antediluvian world and ancient Sodom and Gomorrah.

The link is strong between the fleshly, or physical, realm and the spiritual, or supernatural, realm in these cases. That is made clear in the following:

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities” (Jude 1:6-8).

Do you see that linkage? It is the phrase “going after strange flesh” that connects the human to the supernatural in considering the matter of this end-time invasion Jesus said will be a recurrence of soul/flesh-corrupting things that happened in antediluvian and ancient times.

In the matter of the supernatural realm, we see in Genesis 6:1-3 that the “sons of God” went after “strange flesh.” That is, a number of angels who fell with Lucifer in the great rebellion and were cast out of Heaven saw the “daughters of men” (human women) and came down and cohabitated with them—producing hybrid offspring of the natural and the supernatural. Going after “strange flesh,” then, means doing something that is against the order God established.

These offspring were “men of renown,” the Scriptures tell us. These were doubtless the creatures from which Greek, Norse, and Roman mythologies derive, to some extent.

Genesis 19 tells the full story of the “strange flesh” Jude alludes to in verses 6–8. This is expounded upon by Paul the apostle in Romans 1. The “strange flesh” is men going after men and women after women in the sexual sense–burning in their lusts one toward the other, and receiving in themselves the payment for their sin, which, God’s Word says, is a fitting punishment.

The end-time invasion Jesus prophesied is, I’m convinced, well underway. Key among the elements of Satan’s assault is a return of the dark, spiritual beings in high places–the extradimensional, not extraterrestrial, beings, again trying to corrupt the “seed” of humankind through the sightings, encounters, abductions, ghostly appearances, visitations, stigmata phenomena, and all of the rest of these strange things reported even by documentaries like those on the Discovery and History channels every week. The prime-time invasion will, I’m equally convinced, take place in the Tribulation era (Daniel’s seventieth week), as outlined in the “strong delusion” of 2 Thessalonians 2.

On the human level, the corruption is taking place through “going after strange flesh”—doing a thing totally against God’s established order. Men, again, are lusting after men, and women after women on a scale like in those ancient times, while Hollywood and many in government and media promote this lifestyle that’s deadly to the continuation of the human race.

All of this indicates just how near this generation must be to the time Christ will step out on the clouds of Glory and shout, “Come up here!” The final war called Armageddon that will result from this satanic invasion approaches rapidly. The rapture of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior cannot be far distant.

Notice that Jesus said that the delusions that are coming to earth will be SO deceptive that they would deceive even the elect...if that were possible.  We believe that the reason we won't be deceived is because we won't be here.  We believe Christ will have already taken us to be in the place He has prepared for us...via the rapture.

The Things of Earth Are Growing Strangely Dim

 When I saw this article I knew I had to post it because the song she mentions has been running through my brain regularly for the past 2-3 years.  While the world is growing more angry, more insane, more willing to rob, steal and loot, more willing to post their angry rants on Facebook every day, I find myself unconcerned.  This world is all passing away.  Even if Jesus tarries, in 50 years most of my readers and I will be remembered by nobody.  We were but a mist that was here for a few years and vanished.  When Paul said, “to die is gain”, do we all really believe that?

We have a cousin who gets up every morning and makes Facebook posts about MAGA and Trump and the “idiots who voted for him” and almost always includes a few F-words in his posts.  He’s literally seething with anger.  The funny thing is he claims to be a Christian.  He’s lived with his girlfriend for 7-8 years and has no plans for marriage.  He embraces all liberal agenda from abortion to LGBTQ tripe.  The Jesus he claims to follow is a socialist who would March in gay Pride parades, would hold the light for the abortion doctor, would terminate all national borders and just let folks wander wherever they want.  Where is the evidence of the Joy of the Lord?  It’s not there.

The One True God is not on the throne wringing his hands and crying, “why didn’t Kamala get elected?  She was perfect!”  Nope!  He’s preparing a place for us and will soon come for us and we will dwell with him forever.  With that in mind, let’s work hard to let the world grow dim while telling everyone we can about the seeds Jesus gave us to scatter.

Does anyone else reading this feel that the veil between heaven and earth is getting awfully thin?  The chorus of “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” is a constant ear-worm these days.  To refresh your memory, the refrain goes:

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face;
 And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
 In the light of His glory and grace.”

Yeah, like that – the things of earth are becoming less and less weighty, somehow.  A “for instance”:  This writer has always been a news hound. Couldn’t wait to get to the computer in the morning to see if anything earth-shattering had happened overnight, and my news feeds were many and from many lands.  Not now.  You see, with all the prophecy being fulfilled, currently, we already know what is going to happen today, tomorrow, and in the short-term future.  And the major news outlets of the world are not connecting the same dots that we Christ-followers are connecting.  They do not see the pictures that are oh so clear to us who read God’s Word daily.  Plus, we can no longer trust that the “arbiters of news” are even telling us the truth.

Jesus’ Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24 gives so much comfort when we hear of wholesale deceit being visited on us by politicians, the medical community, and even by certain church leaders.  When we hear of a new rumour of war or another major earthquake, we take comfort in the fact that all these things are supposed to be happening.  Jesus told us not to be afraid.  He’s got our back, and His Father is still in control of it all.

It is interesting that the non-believers I know are in one of two camps:

1.)  The Terrified.  Some are living in a constant state of horror, excited by YouTube stories of alien spaceships, city-eating sinkholes, and the return to our part of the world of pestilences such as tuberculosis and even the plague.

2.)  The Blind.  So many are just completely unaware of anything momentous taking place on planet Earth at this time.  Trying to talk about the plight of Israel, for example, with some non-believing friends is a lesson in futility.  They have either made up their minds that Israel is evil, or they shrug and ask what the Mid-East has to do with life in Canada.  Jesus was so right when he warned that the end times to come would be as in the days of Noah.  He said, in those days, everyone was just carrying on with life as though nothing was happening, right up until the LORD closed the door of the ark and the waters came and took the whole lot of them away.

Jesus cites particularly “people eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.” It was like the old adage of hedonistic abandonment, “Eat, drink, and be merry” without the “for tomorrow we die” admonition.  That pretty much describes today’s lifestyle for many, many people.

Saints, don’t you sometimes wonder why you were so blessed to be able to see salvation in Christ’s blood sacrifice on the cross?  Why am I blessed to read God’s Word and see the wonders that He has for His creation in the future, and, more, to KNOW, at the deepest level of knowing, that it is coming soon?  That alone is worth an eternity of worship, thanksgiving, and praise to the One Who loves us beyond anything we can imagine.

If I was going to offer any kind of advice to you, dear reader, it would be this: get right with God.  Come close to Him and He will make all your paths straight.  He will help you in times of trouble.  He will be your Guide, your Shield, your Refuge, your Strength, and your Rock to cling to when all around you appears to be falling apart.

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face;
 And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
 In the light of His glory and grace.”

Now, here’s how to get right with God, and it’s as easy as ABC.

A:  Acknowledge that you are a sinner, ask God for forgiveness, and repent or turn away from that sin.  As Apostle Paul wrote in the Book of Romans, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  The only person who walked on this earth Who never sinned was the God-Man Jesus Christ.  Jesus came to earth in a human body to shed His blood for the forgiveness of all sin, for all time.  How this is so can be found, yep, you guessed it, in the Book we call the Bible.  So, the next step toward salvation is,

B:  Believe that Jesus Christ died on a Roman cross, shedding His Divine blood as a propitiation for all sin, for all time.  Believe that He died on that cross, was buried, and on the third day rose up from the grave in an immortal body.  He ascended into heaven and is waiting for the Father’s Word to come back and gather all those who believe in Him.  And the last step is a double one …

C:  Commit and Confess – Commit your life to the One Who loves you more than you can possibly know or imagine and Who has paid the whole debt of your sin.  “For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God Is eternal life in Christ Jesus our LORD.”  And then confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD of your life, telling anyone who will listen what real life is all about – real, eternal life, lived in full forgiveness.

These are the initial steps of salvation.  After this, you will want to find a Bible-believing congregation to worship with and with whom to learn more about discipleship in the Way, the Truth, and the Life of Jesus Christ.  Committed Christians keep growing in faith, in character, and in their walk with the LORD.

Take the plunge today, friend.  You have nothing to lose, but have eternity to gain.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Congresswoman Calls for Equal Access for All to Temple Mount

 You've all heard it said, "Israel is God's timepiece and Jerusalem is the minute hand and the Temple Mount is the second hand."

So today we see news that the second hand is in focus again.

Washington, DC — Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today introduced a resolution affirming Israel’s sovereignty over the Temple Mount and calling for equal access and religious freedom for Christians, Muslims, and the Jewish people at one of the world’s most sacred sites. 

The resolution recognizes the Temple Mount as the holiest site in Judaism and a revered place for all three Abrahamic faiths. It reaffirms that Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel and calls for the protection of the right of all people to worship freely and peacefully. The resolution also highlights the historic and biblical connection of the Jewish people to the Temple Mount, noting that archaeological and historical evidence confirms this enduring bond over more than 3,000 years.

Rep. Tenney’s measure follows repeated international efforts to downplay Jewish ties to Jerusalem and restrict access to the Temple Mount. Currently, Muslims can enter the site through eleven gates, while non-Muslims are limited to one gate with restricted hours and prohibitions on prayer. The resolution condemns these double standards and reaffirms America’s commitment to Israel’s security, sovereignty, and religious liberty for all faiths.

“The Temple Mount is the holiest site in the world for the Jewish people and a symbol of faith and freedom for millions around the world. For generations, Israel has ensured that people of all faiths can access and pray at sacred sites, a freedom that remains nonexistent across much of the Middle East. As you all know, Israel took control of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount during the 1967 war where the Arab-Muslim nations invaded Israel AGAIN only to have their butts kicked.  But in order to keep the Muslims calmed down Israel allowed Jordan to control the Temple Mount and that means KEEPING JEWS OFF THE MOUNT.  It's been that way since.  

Can you imagine the outrage if there was a spot somewhere on earth where they said, "No blacks can enter here!"  The outrage would be intense...but the Muslim world gets a pass...again.

The reason that Jews hang out and pray at the Western Wall is because that's as close as they can get to the actual Temple Mount.  Remember the Muslims have the Al Aqsa mosque built there and also the Golden Dome of the Rock...and they don't want any Jews there to filthy it up.

Cudos to this congresswoman from New York making an attempt to change the status quo.

No Food Stamps Coming November 1

 About 1 of 8 Americans uses food-subsidy programs to get groceries.  When the Democrats decided to hold the country hostage by not funding the government, everything run by the government begins to shut.  That’s why they call it a “government shutdown”. 🙂

Democrats are already riled up for the past year.  Screaming about Trump and his Nazi followers while celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk has many Kamala voters right at the tipping point.  Just imagine what might happen if they don’t get their free food!  Looting is already happening legally in CA and flash mobs of younger folks kicking in windows and stealing all they want from some store can be seen daily on YouTube.  Also videos have been seen where people on EBT are saying, “if we don’t get our EBT cards loaded with money again, we’re going to the stores and taking what we want!  Your taxes should be feeding me and my family!  I deserve it!”

A person can start to understand how civil unrest could lead to something larger.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has posted a notice on its website saying federal food aid will not go out Nov. 1, raising the stakes for families nationwide as the government shutdown drags on.

The new notice comes after the Trump administration said it would not tap roughly $5 billion in contingency funds to keep benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly referred to as SNAP, flowing into November. That program helps about 1 in 8 Americans buy groceries.

“Bottom line, the well has run dry,” the USDA notice says. “At this time, there will be no benefits issued November 01. We are approaching an inflection point for Senate Democrats.”

The shutdown, which began Oct. 1, is now the second-longest on record. While the Republican administration took steps leading up to the shutdown to ensure SNAP benefits were paid this month, the cutoff would expand the impact of the impasse to a wider swath of Americans — and some of those most in need — unless a political resolution is found in just a few days. 

The administration blames Democrats, who say they will not agree to reopen the government until Republicans negotiate with them on extending expiring subsidies under the Affordable Care Act. Republicans say Democrats must first agree to reopen the government before negotiation. 

Democratic lawmakers have written to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins requesting to use contingency funds to cover the bulk of next month’s benefits. 

But a USDA memo that surfaced Friday says “contingency funds are not legally available to cover regular benefits.” The document says the money is reserved for such things such as helping people in disaster areas. 

It cited a storm named Melissa, which has strengthened into a major hurricane, as an example of why it’s important to have the money available to mobilize quickly in the event of a disaster. 

The prospect of families not receiving food aid has deeply concerned states run by both parties. 

Some states have pledged to keep SNAP benefits flowing even if the federal program halts payments, but there are questions about whether U.S. government directives may allow that to happen. The USDA memo also says states would not be reimbursed for temporarily picking up the cost.

Other states are telling SNAP recipients to be ready for the benefits to stop. Arkansas and Oklahoma, for example, are advising recipients to identify food pantries and other groups that help with food.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., accused Republicans and Trump of not agreeing to negotiate.

“The reality is, if they sat down to try to negotiate, we could probably come up with something pretty quickly,” Murphy said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “We could open up the government on Tuesday or Wednesday, and there wouldn’t be any crisis in the food stamp program.”

Largest Storm EVER Set to Hit Jamaica

 In our ongoing quest to bring you headlines with the words, "Never" and "Ever", we have a new one.  There is a massive hurricane, category 5, the largest storm of 2025 in the world, and it's barreling down on Jamaica and they are saying, "The largest hurricane to EVER hit the island" and also using phrases like "unimaginable destruction" is possible.

Summary of the day so far

It’s almost 1.30pm Monday in Kingston, Jamaica, where islanders are nervously awaiting landfall of category 5 Hurricane Melissa early on Tuesday, even though strong winds and heavy rains are already buffeting the south coast and inland areas.

Here’s what we’ve been following so far:

Officials say the hurricane, one of the strongest ever recorded in the Caribbean, has “the ingredients to be a catastrophic storm”. Liz Stephens, professor in climate risks and resilience at University of Reading, said: “Communities in Jamaica will need to prepare for potentially unimaginable impacts, and with climate change fueling stronger storms with higher rainfall totals, this is a stark example for other countries as to what may be in store for them.”

At least six deaths have already been attributed to the storm. Three people were killed in Haiti and another in the Dominican Republic, where another person remains missing, according to the Associated Press. Two people died in Jamaica over the weekend as they cut trees ahead of the storm.

Emergency evacuations have been under way in vulnerable areas of Jamaica for many hours, even though officials warn no area of the island will be immune to Melissa’s 157mph+ winds, combined with its potentially deadly storm surge.

Andrew Holness, the prime minster of Jamaica, told an emergency briefing in Kingston on Monday, that residents were turning up at some of his country’s 881 hurricane shelters only to find them locked. “We have to strengthen this part of our preparedness, of getting the shelter managers to not wait until someone is coming. Once we activate the shelter, it should be open and ready for persons to come in, even if no one comes,” he said.

Jamaica’s two international airports have been closed since Sunday. Desmond McKenzie, the minister of local government, warned: “Many communities will not survive the flooding. Kingston is extremely low. No community in Kingston is immune.”

After moving north through Jamaica on Tuesday, Melissa will set its sights on Cuba on Tuesday night, and then the south-eastern Bahamas on Wednesday. The National Hurricane Center in Miami on Monday issued a hurricane warning for most of eastern Cuba, including the provinces of Granma, Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo and Holguin; and a hurricane watch is in place for the Turks and Caicos islands and south-eastern Bahamas.

Yes of course!  It has to be CLIMATE CHANGE that is making this all possible.  It can't possibly be the Creator of the Universe allowing more earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes as part of the birth pangs that He told us to expect in the very Last Days.

I can't imagine being on an island that's going to be completely covered by a category 5 storm.  It's probably not possible to get in your car and drive somewhere out of the eye...like the folks in Florida do.

We might want to remember these folks in our prayers over the next few days as it doesn't sound good.

“God Sends Them Great Delusion so They Will Believe the Lie”

 We have been convinced that the Antichrist will have some lies prepared to explain where all the Christians have gone following the rapture.  We believe the passage in 2 Thessalonians applies to people who heard the clear Gospel message but refused it…they will be the ones to whom God sends strong delusion.  There will be billions left behind that never heard about Jesus and never saw a Bible or a church.  Out of those will come the “tribulation saints” spoken of in Revelation.

Below, we found another prophecy watcher who believes that “aliens” and UFOs will be one explanation for who took some of the Christians.  Please note there is MUCH chatter in the daily news about 3I/Atlas.  Some folks are saying it’s just a space rock and some NASA folks are saying it’s operating under its own power using a propulsion system…so it’s an alien ship heading our way.

The Lie

In 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12, Paul wrote that during the Day of the Lord, God would send a “strong delusion” among those who refuse to “believe the truth” so they would “believe what is false.” What might be the lie that many will believe after the Rapture?

In recent years, speculation has grown among students of Bible prophecy that the elite of the world will explain the disappearance of so many as an alien abduction. As possible verification of this, the claims of UFO sightings have grown from that of small mobile aircraft to that of gigantic alien vessels. Much speculation exists regarding 3I/Atlas, which has a width of up to seven miles. It’s unusual nature has many people speculating that it’s not a comet, but rather an enormous alien spacecraft.

Its gigantic size would accommodate the disappearance of a great many people. 3I/Atlas, and other similar large alien vessels receiving much speculation in our day, would make a suitable alternative to the truth regarding the Rapture. And based on what I read on social media and elsewhere, many would believe such a lie.

When we add these things to the multitude of other signs of the approaching Tribulation, we recognize today for what it is: the season of Jesus’ appearing to take us home. We do not know when the Rapture will occur, but if ever there was a time to eagerly watch for it, this is it!

“If Your Pastor Gets Israel Wrong, Find Another Church”

 I’ve heard it said many times we need to seek unity as Christians.  Figure out what the salvation issues are and agree on them but don’t fight over the non-salvation issues.  While I totally agree on not dividing over the color of the carpet in the sanctuary, what issues are worth standing for?  This pastor is saying Israel is one issue for sure, and I would agree.  Many denominations have bought into the lie of Replacement Theology where they teach that any promises God made to Israel transferred to Christians.  Pastor Washington calls that a “doctrine of demons.”  And now that we have Tucker Carlson and other conservative voices turning on Israel, it’s more important than ever that we understand God’s eternal covenant with Israel.  Read the whole article as I  just posted a few paragraphs below.

His message came at a moment when American churches face increasing pressure to distance themselves from Israel. From college campuses to social media, voices claiming to speak for justice demand that Christians side with those who call for Israel’s destruction. Washington’s sermon offered a counter-narrative grounded not in politics but in Scripture itself. Younger evangelicals especially are abandoning Israel, questioning the Biblical role as “God’s Chosen People”, and returning to replacement theology.

Washington’s sermon centered on what he called “the doctrine of demons”: replacement theology. Also known as supersessionism, this teaching claims the church has replaced Israel as God’s chosen people. Washington argued that Scripture shows Satan actively pursuing Israel even after Christ’s resurrection. “If God is done with Israel,” he asked, “why does John tell us that the enemy is still trying to destroy her?”

The question strikes at a theological contradiction. Revelation 12 describes the dragon pursuing the woman who gave birth to the Messiah. If God had abandoned Israel, Satan’s continued assault would be pointless. Washington contended that replacement theology doesn’t just misread Scripture but aligns with the enemy’s agenda against God’s covenant people.

“Replacement theology is the doctrine of demons,” Washington declared, drawing applause from the congregation. He pointed to Romans 11, where Paul confronts early Gentile believers who claimed God had finished with the Jews. Paul called such thinking “arrogant, proud, boastful, presumptuous,” warning the church not to boast against the natural branches of God’s olive tree.

Washington noted that Christians have sung Psalm 121 for generations: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.” But virtually every Christian version omits verse four: “Behold, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.” Jewish congregations center their prayers on that exact verse because it speaks to God’s eternal covenant.

“The church has unconsciously erased Israel over almost 2,000 years,” Washington said. Not through deliberate malice in every case, but through gradually severing Jesus from His Jewish identity. He reminded his audience that the Messiah they worship is “a Torah keeping, Shabbat keeping, kosher eating Jewish rabbi.”

The sermon took direct aim at Christians who claim they don’t hate Jews but oppose Israel’s government. Washington dismissed the distinction. “It doesn’t say pray for the peace of Bibi Netanyahu,” he said. God’s command is to pray for Jerusalem itself, regardless of which political coalition holds power. Israel’s enemies don’t care whether the government leans left or right. They want to destroy the nation because of what it represents.

Knowing Christ’s Return is Imminent

 Not much commentary needed here.  Some great things to think about and practice as we watch for Hos glorious appearing.

How can one prepare to be raptured up to Heaven and so be with Jesus Christ forevermore?

When it comes to the Rapture, it’s often said that a person must prepare, and so, “Be ready!” This saying is implied by Jesus Himself, who said in Luke 21:28, “Now when these things begin to happen…” (“things” meaning when the signs of the end times begin to occur), then “look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” In other words, Jesus was commanding His followers to “Be ready!” because He will indeed return, and when He does, look up because His return will be swift.

Society has been looking warily at the signs of the end times Jesus gave in Matthew 24 and Luke 21: false prophets and messiahs, plagues and diseases, shattering earthquakes, fearful socio-economic events, wars and rumors of wars, surprising signs in the sky, and many more. All these signs Jesus mentioned would mark the time leading up to His return. Well, they are inarguably happening today, and in greater frequency and intensity, just like birth pangs.

Then there’s what’s known as the “super sign”—the sign of the fig tree. When Israel, symbolized as a fig tree, rebudded and became a nation once more, then that would be the generation that would see the return of Jesus Christ. Israel did indeed become a nation once more in May 1948. The fig tree has rebudded, indicating that the world now finds itself living in the final days leading up to Christ’s return.

Since all these end-time signs Jesus laid out are happening in this day and age, we can be certain that our Lord is coming soon. And, because He’s coming soon, we need to “Be ready!”

What One Must Do to Be Ready

Knowing Christ’s return is imminent, we each must ask this question: “What must I do to be ready?” Jesus answered this question in Luke 21:34-36: “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

In this passage, Jesus gave us five things to do to “Be ready!” for His return in the clouds to rapture the Church up to Heaven.

Number one is to avoid sinning. If you are a Christian, then you obviously should be living a holy life as an ambassador of our Savior. So, avoid sinning at all costs.

And, if you have yet to have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you’re continuing to live a life of sin, and that means you are nowhere ready for when the Lord returns. Why is that? Because being prepared for the Lord’s return requires having accepted Jesus as one’s Savior. “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36). But, once saved, your sins will be forgiven and forgotten, and you can stand before God blameless and holy, no longer abiding under His great wrath.

Number two is to keep watching. Jesus commands us to look out for His return. You’ll hear some people ignorantly claim that Bible prophecy is all nonsense. And yet, Jesus Himself has said that when we see these signs of the end times, then keep watch. Therefore, Jesus wants us to expectantly watch for His return.

Number three points out that since we are living in evil times, we should pray to escape evil. Pray for the Lord to protect you, your family, your church, your friends, and your nation. We need all the protection we can get living in these dark days.

Number four, put your hope in the fact that Jesus is returning. Jesus will rapture all those who believe in Him as Savior, taking them all up to Heaven, before He pours His terrible wrath and judgment upon the world for its continued rebellion. The Rapture is what’s called our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:13). Knowing that Christians will not have to face the worst period in all human history—the Tribulation—is meant to provide us hope for today. So, grab a hold of that hope!

But how does one grab hold of that hope? Number five, accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, then in faith and repentance, pray from your heart. Express your belief that Jesus is the Son of God and acknowledge that He died for your sins, then beat death by resurrection Himself from the grave. When you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, He will forgive you of your sins, your guilt will be swept away, and you will inherit eternal life with your Heavenly Father forever.

So, how can one “Be ready!” for Christ’s return? In summary: avoid sinning, keep watching, pray to escape evil, hope for the Rapture, and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you do these five things, then you will indeed “Be ready!” for the Rapture.
