Jewish Embassy Workers Gunned Down in Washington DC

What a sad story.  And to have it happen in our nation's capitol seems to make it even worse.  As anti-Semitism grows in America, stories like this will probably become more common.

Two members of the Israeli embassy staff -- a couple about to get engaged -- were gunned down outside an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday in what the FBI believes may be a targeted attack.

The shooting has sparked outrage and has been condemned as an "unspeakable" act of antisemitism after officials said the suspect, who is in custody, shouted "free, free Palestine" following the shooting.

During a press conference on Thursday morning, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar identified the two embassy staff members who were killed as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim.

He said the pair were attending a Jewish conference of the American Jewish Committee when they were gunned down "in a horrific terrorist attack."

"This is the direct result of toxic anti-Semitic incitement against Israel and Jews around the world that has been going on since the October 7th massacre," Sa'ar added. "I have been worried for the past few months that something like this would happen. And it did."

An official with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed to reporters during the presser that Lischinsky and Milgrim were not diplomats but embassy staff. Lischinsky was a researcher in the political department of the Israeli Embassy, while Milgrim organized U.S. missions to Israel.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez of Chicago, was promptly taken into custody at the scene and is being questioned by police, Smith said.

The FBI said on Thursday it is conducting "court authorized activity" in Chicago that is believed to be related to the suspect in the shooting.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the early indicators point to the shooting being a "targeted attack."

"The US Attorneys office is on scene with me, and our WFO management team, at the Washington Field Office reviewing the evidence to determine additional actions," Bongino said. "The shooting happened a short distance from our Washington Field Office. Our FBI police officer, assigned to the external post on the WFO property, immediately responded and rendered aid after the attack. Early indicators are that this is an act of targeted violence. Our FBI team is fully engaged and we will get you answers as soon as we can, without compromising additional leads."

When the whole world seems to be shouting against Israel these violent acts against Israelis are only going to increase.

Syria May Be Weeks or Months Away From Total Collapse

Isaiah 17 and the Destruction of Damascus will continue to be on our radar.  It should be on every radar that follows prophetic events.

As we remember, the President of Syria was chased out last year and a bunch of Muslim terrorists took over.

Today we see comments by Marco Rubio concerning the collapse of Syria.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that the new government in Syria may be “weeks away” from collapse and civil war.

Speaking to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Rubio said, “It is our assessment that, frankly, the transitional authority, given the challenges they’re facing, are maybe weeks—not many months—away from potential collapse and a full-scale civil war of epic proportions, basically the country splitting up.”

Rubio was referring to sectarian violence against the Alawite and Druze minority groups in Syria. This issue concerned the Trump administration even as the president met with the new Syrian leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, and lifted sanctions against the country that were imposed during the Assad regime.

Referring to al-Sharaa, who until recently was on the FBI’s wanted list over his jihadist connections, Rubio said, “The transitional authority figures, they didn’t pass their background check with the FBI.”

However, he added, “If we engage them, it may work out; it may not work out. If we did not engage them, it was guaranteed not to work out.”

Rubio, who met with Syria’s foreign minister in Turkey on Thursday, blamed the sectarian violence on Bashar al-Assad, Syria’s deposed leader.

“They are dealing with deep internal distrust in that country because Assad deliberately pitted these groups against each other,” Rubio said.

He explained that the main motivation for lifting the sanctions was to allow other countries to provide assistance. “The nations in the region want to get aid in, want to start helping them, and they can’t because they’re afraid of our sanctions,” he said.

Earlier this month, the IDF undertook operations in Syria to protect the Druze population. Five wounded Syrian Druze civilians were evacuated to receive medical treatment at Ziv Medical Center in Safed.

The IDF was deployed in southern Syria to prevent the entry of hostile forces into the area of Druze villages.

The development followed an Israeli operation that targeted an area near the presidential palace in Damascus, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said was “a clear message to the Syrian regime.”

“We will not allow regime forces to move south of Damascus or to pose any danger to the Druze community,” Netanyahu said in a joint statement with Defense Minister Israel Katz.

One possible scenario we see for the destruction of Damascus would be that the Muslim terrorists get ahold of chemical weapons and decide to shower them into Israel using missiles.  We believe Israel may respond with a nuclear weapon to vaporize Damascus and make it uninhabitable until Christ returns to set up his 1000 year reign on earth.

So this event might happen before the rapture but it certainly could be something that happens during the Great Tribulation.

17 A prophecy against Damascus:

“See, Damascus will no longer be a city

but will become a heap of ruins.

2 The cities of Aroer will be deserted

and left to flocks, which will lie down,

with no one to make them afraid.

Pro-Choice Women Watch Abortion Preformed

When does the baby become a baby?  Of course the only answer for Bible believers is “at conception”.  God clearly tells us that He knew us before he formed us in our mother’s womb.

One lady in the video says, “if the timing isn’t right then just get rid of it and try again some other time.”

Then they ladies watched a video of an actual abortion…and they all changed their mind.

Why isn’t a video of an abortion being preformed played for every single 9th grade science class in America?

Because the schools have been taken over by a Left-wing agenda.  And that agenda wants nothing to do with our Creator.  The power currently running public schools wants nothing to do with God/Jesus.  And as Jesus clearly explains, “You’re either for me or against me.”

US Debt Downgraded Again

It was HUGE news some years ago when USA lost it's AAA bond rating by Moody's.  How could it be that America didn't get a PERFECT credit rating?  But that news was in the past.

Today we read that the $36 trillion in debt is being downgraded again.  But most Americans will have no clue that this happened.  And even if they did they won't understand what it means or why it means anything.

In short, America is being viewed as a MORE RISKY LENDER and people that buy more risky debt are going to expect a higher interest rate for buying that more risky debt.

And if USA is already paying a mountain of interest...they are about to pay more.

Stocks closed largely unchanged on Monday despite a downgrade of U.S. credit, which triggered a spike in debt yields and threatened to raise borrowing costs throughout the nation's economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 137 points, or 0.3%, while the S&P 500 climbed 0.09%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq increased 0.02%.

Moody's, a top ratings agency, cut the U.S. credit rating on Friday, dropping it one notch from the top rating of Aaa to a lower classification of Aa1.

The credit downgrade unleashed a selloff of U.S. debt over the weekend, sending Treasury yields higher, which in turn raised the cost of U.S. borrowing and stoked investor fears about wider impact across the economy.

"This is a major symbolic move as Moody’s were the last of the major rating agencies to have the U.S. at the top rating," a Deutsche Bank analyst said Monday in a client note shared with ABC News.

The Treasury selloff sent long-term yields soaring above the level attained in the immediate aftermath of President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs. That spike in yields helped persuade Trump to suspend a major swathe of the tariffs, Trump later said.

The current spike in debt yields coincides with U.S. House Republicans' push to pass a domestic policy bill that includes broad tax cuts. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office warned last month that the bill would raise the nation's debt, which now stands at about $36 trillion.

The credit reassessment at Moody’s came years after similar downgrades of U.S. debt at the two other major credit agencies: S&P in 2011 and Fitch in 2023.

The S&P 500 fell more than 1% in early trading on Monday, before recovering nearly all of the losses. The Dow and Nasdaq also moved lower early in the day, but each later turned upward.

Remember how bankruptcy happens.  It starts slowly and then happens suddenly.  It almost always takes people by surprise.

Trump Has a False Teacher Giving Him Biblical Advice

Who is this Paula White that Trump put at the top of his spiritual advisors list?  She is a wealth and prosperity teacher who believes that Christians will end up having dominion over the earth BEFORE Christ returns.  She also doesn’t see any plan for Israel in regards to unfulfilled prophecy.

The good news is that none of this news delays and adds to God’s timing for believers to meet Christ in the air.  But Paul tells us to “mark and avoid” these false teachers and warns us there will be more and more coming as The Day approaches.

We can all keep praying for Trump that he will get some sound biblical advice from folks like Mike Huckabee who he named as ambassador to Israel.  We are quite sure that Huckabee realizes the significance of blessing Israel and knows his role with Israel is important during these Last Days.

***********************

The prevailing assessment of Bible prophecy in many churches today is that it’s of too little significance to teach from the pulpit. Pastors avoid preaching about the Rapture and Jesus’ thousand-year rule lest it offend people and they stop attending. Some claim that beliefs about things to come are “tertiary,” which online dictionaries define as “of third rank importance or value.”

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The dearth of sound biblical teaching on Bible prophecy has created a void that false teachers have filled with a wide assortment of wayward beliefs regarding the church, Jesus’ appearing, the Second Coming, and Israel. As a result, the prevailing false view in the Christian community is that the church will someday prevail over the ills and evils of our world and inaugurate millennial conditions throughout the world before Jesus returns to the earth.

Lest anyone think that such teaching, known as Dominion Theology, is of little or no consequence for our day, one of its chief proponents now has an office inside the White House.

Paula White’s Rise to Prominence

Televangelist Paula White’s rise to power resulted from the widespread shortage of sound biblical teaching on future things.

White amassed a personal fortune, estimated in excess of five million dollars, by promising her television audience health and prosperity if they contributed to her ministry. The response to such promises has not only made her wealthy but also has given her a platform that caught the attention of President Donald Trump, who selected her as an advisor. He has placed White in charge of his newly created White House Faith Office.

Sadly, White’s unbiblical beliefs, listed below, taint the advice she gives to the President:

  1. Jerusalem and the Land of Israel no longer belong exclusively to the descendants of Jacob via God’s unconditional covenants with His people.
  2. The Jewish people don’t have a place in God’s prophetic program for the future.
  3. The world is not racing toward the seven-year Tribulation judgments, as described in Revelation chapters 6-18, but is rather on a course leading to a time of worldwide prosperity, peace, and security administered by the church.

Sadly, her counsel to the President stems from these errant beliefs. Is it possible that, at a minimum, her beliefs regarding the church’s rule over the earth validate Trump’s belief that great prosperity lies ahead for America under his leadership?

What About Israel?

However, there’s another area where our President needs much better counsel than what White gives to him.

I don’t know for sure if Paula White’s errant views concerning Israel have influenced President Trump’s policies in any way. One has to wonder, however, about the influence of a White House faith advisor who rejects what the Bible says about the future of the Jewish people, the Land that God gave to them, and Jerusalem.

Trump has a proven record of supporting Israel, but will his desire to be a peacemaker cloud his judgment? Will he treat Israel as just another nation and thus fail to recognize its God-given right to the Land?

Bible Prophecy Matters

Paula White’s rise to power demonstrates the necessity of sound biblical teaching on Bible prophecy. Those who say it’s tertiary make a serious error in judgment, to say the least.

Pastors who minimize its importance allow false teaching to flourish in the Christian community. A scripturally valid view of future things is essential for believers to discern truth from error. The inability of Christians to do so has made multi-millionaires of charlatans such as White and others. Even worse, it has given their followers a false hope for the future and, in far too many cases, kept them from recognizing the necessity of trusting Jesus alone for the forgiveness of their sins and eternal life.

I’m convinced that any and all decisions that result from Trump’s jaunt to the Middle East will facilitate the Lord’s plan for the end times and bring us even closer to meeting our Savior in the air. We need not worry about the errant counsel the President receives from Paula White; the Lord long ago already factored that into His sovereign plans to rescue Israel during the upcoming seven-year Tribulation and establish His kingdom on the earth.

This does not excuse, however, the dearth of sound biblical teaching on Bible prophecy that exists today in our churches. It has created a void that has allowed false teachers such as Paula White to flourish and, in her case, rise to prominence in Washington, DC.

Qatar Gives Huge Sums to American Universities

If we have a problem, and we do, with Qatar giving large donations to American Universities, then why don’t we all have a problem with Qatar giving a 747 jet to serve as Air Force One?  And if the Secret Service does accept the jet, strips it to the bones to check for listening devices, then puts it in service as Air Force One, WHY would Trump get the plane to put, or use, in his Trump Library when his service is done?  Why wouldn’t it stay in use by the Secret Service for future presidents?

I heard one Congressman ask, “If we don’t have a problem with France giving us the Statue of Liberty, why is everyone making such a stink about this jet?”

Well, because the statue was a gift to the nation that millions enjoy and we received it from a nation that shares our values.  The Qatar gift is going to benefit a few powerful folks and then benefit Trump, and we don’t share any values or worldview with terrorist-supporting Qatar.

***************************

If you ever doubted that universities care more about money than principles, look no further than their willingness to accept donations from Qatar.

For those unaware, Qatar is a hereditary autocracy that bans political parties, criminalizes dissent, censors the press and has a long record of human-rights abuses, including labor exploitation and human trafficking. Its state-run media network, Al Jazeera, is the principal media source of anti-Israel propaganda in the Middle East. Qatar has also long funded and hosted terrorist groups that are sworn enemies of the West, including the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and ISIS.

“Qatar’s ideological alignment directly contradicts the values of Western nations that recognize these groups as terrorist organizations,” observed Michael Milshtein of the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies. Yet that has not stopped American universities from cozying up to Qatar for cash.

Doha has poured nearly $6 billion into American universities since 1981, making it the largest Arab donor in US higher education. In just one year, between 2023 and 2024, it donated $527 million. Much of this money is funneled through the Qatar Foundation, chaired by Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, mother of the current emir and wife of the former one. In the words of its founders, the foundation exists to “realize their ambitions for the future of Qatar.”

“Qatar’s goal is not to promote antisemitic or pro-Palestinian messages,” Gulf expert Ariel Admoni says, “but antisemitism and pro-Palestinian sentiments are byproducts of policies convenient for them.”

He added that “in Western countries, particularly within educated circles, the pro-Palestinian struggle is perceived as a ‘convenient’ cause. Consequently, from the Qatari perspective, this portrayal positions them favorably on what they consider to be the right side of public opinion, especially among the youth.”

Qatar has made 1,143 donations to 63 American universities. In the US Department of Education (DoE) database, only 101—just 9%—disclose what the money was used for.

Cornell University is the biggest beneficiary, receiving more than $2.1 billion. In 2001, it launched the Weill Medical College in Qatar, with the emirate pledging $750 million in 11 years, including undisclosed “fees” to Cornell. According to a 2024 report from the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), Cornell failed to report $1.4 billion of this funding (out of $3 billion in unreported contributions for campuses in Qatar).

More than $1.2 billion in Qatar funding previously attributed to Northwestern and Georgetown universities was also inexplicably deleted from the February 2024 DoE report.

Qatar also attempts to exert influence through donations to prestigious university centers. It has contributed, for example, to the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University in Texas, which was also supported at one point by the Al Jazeera Media Network of Qatar. Diplomats can also get an education from Georgetown University in Qatar, initially called the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar. The Qatar Foundation collaborated with the Institute for Global Law and Policy at Harvard Law School to establish a graduate law school at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha. Harvard received a $1 million donation from Qatar in 2024, but no further details were provided.

Academic freedom suffers when oppressive regimes control the purse strings. Northwestern’s campus in Doha censored a Lebanese band with a gay lead singer. A professor was reportedly dismissed for expressing pro-Israel views. These are not isolated incidents; they are symptoms of a deeper rot. Money from autocratic regimes inevitably comes with strings, spoken or unspoken. When universities accept these funds, they assume those strings.

In a rare act of financial sacrifice, Texas A&M announced that it would close its program in Qatar after 21 years, just three years after renewing a 10-year contract. To that point, the DoE recorded seven contributions worth almost $105 million. According to The Washington Post, the previous contract was worth more than $750 million, so the decision was costly. The public reason given was regional instability and changing institutional priorities; however, some believed it was related to a report by ISGAP raising concerns about Qatari access to nuclear-energy research. The university claimed this was misinformation and had no bearing on the decision to leave Qatar.

The Department of Education under the first Trump administration warned that Qatar, along with China, Russia and Saudi Arabia, was “targeting their investments to project soft power, steal sensitive and proprietary research, and spread propaganda.” The hope was that the administration would take measures to prevent universities from taking Qatari cash, or at least demand transparency and accountability.

But what chance is there of that now that we know Trump is prepared to accept a $400 million airplane from the emirate that is seen by many as a bribe?

American universities are supposed to stand for truth, freedom and critical inquiry. Many, however, are willing to trade those values for petrodollars from a regime that criminalizes dissent, bankrolls terror and censors scholars. It’s not just a betrayal of academic integrity. It’s a betrayal of the very ideals that higher education is meant to uphold.

No One Comes to Jesus Unless The Father Draws Them

 Have you ever wondered how salvation actually works?  You can logically start asking questions that we think we have the answers to and arrive at conclusions;

-Does God know the beginning from the end?…yes

-Did God know you before He formed you in the womb?…yes

-Does the Creator reveal Himself through nature every time you look at the complexities of life…yes

-Are we dead in our sin because we were born as sinful, wretched humans…yes

-Can a dead man do anything…no

-Can pride cause me to believe that because I’m smarter or more logical than others, that I decided to seek Jesus and found him…yes

-Did God have all the names written in the Lambs Book of Life before the foundations of the world were laid…yes

-So God is not on the throne watching and wringing His hands just hoping that Peggy Sue will accept His offer…no

-So God is never worried, anxious, depressed, frustrated or “having a bad day”…no

-So do I have free choice in all this…yes.  God calls you and awakens you from your dead-in-sin status.  He opens your mind so you can understand the things of God.  He convicts you of your sin.  He offers you Jesus as a cure.  It’s a gift from God.  But He wont force you to accept the gift.  But if you do accept it you can’t boast of anything because it was all God all along.

Yes, it’s a mystery. More of it will make sense when we see Jesus because we will know Him more and no more of His plans because “when we see him we will be like him.”

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up on the last day.—Jesus    John 6:44
