Let’s Give Psychedelic Drugs to Make People Get Along!

 This article from the BBC is about giving drugs to people so they can get along better.  If you don’t like Trump supporters let’s give them so MDMA they won’t be so intolerant of immigrants.  But how about giving drugs to all the Minneapolis protesters so they will look at ICE agents as husbands, fathers and friends?  A love-drug could do a whole lot to get folks to get along!

I think this article is prophetic in that Revelation says the last days will be filled with hallucinogenic drugs.  Satan loves for our minds to be altered so he can gain an entrance.

Over the past few years, I've been investigating the scientific research and medical potential of MDMA for a book called "I Feel Love: MDMA and the Quest for Connection in a Fractured World". I learnt how this once-vilified drug is now remerging as a therapeutic agent – a role it previously played in the 1970s and 1980s, prior to its criminalisation. If this comes to pass, MDMA – and other psychedelics-assisted therapy – could transform the field of mental health through widespread clinical use in the US and beyond, for addressing trauma and possibly other conditions as well, including substance use disorders, depression and eating disorders.

But could MDMA transform people's beliefs too? MDMA does not seem to be able to magically rid people of prejudice, bigotry, or hate on its own. But some researchers have begun to wonder if it could be an effective tool for pushing people who are already somehow primed to reconsider their ideology toward a new way of seeing things. While MDMA cannot fix societal-level drivers of prejudice and disconnection, on an individual basis it can make a difference. In certain cases, the drug may even be able to help people see through the fog of discrimination and fear that divides so many of us.

Natalie Ginsberg, the global impact officer at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (Maps) – a non-profit group that has been spearheading research on MDMA – remembers standing next to the Washington Monument in DC at the Catharsis Festival right after the 2016 election, talking with Maps’s founder Rick Doblin at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning about the possibility of using MDMA to facilitate a dialogue between Republicans and Democrats. Ginsberg also envisions using the drug in workshops aimed at eliminating racism, or as a means of bringing people together from opposite sides of shared cultural histories to help heal intergenerational trauma. "I think all psychedelics have a role to play, but I think MDMA has a particularly key role because you're both expanded and present, heart-open and really able to listen in a new way," Ginsberg says. "That's something really powerful."

"If you give MDMA to hard-core haters on each side of an issue, I don't think it'll do a lot of good," Doblin adds. "But if you start with open-minded people on both sides, then I think it can work. You can improve communications and build empathy between groups, and help people be more capable of analysing the world from a more balanced perspective rather than from fear-based, anxiety-based distrust."

Is the Financial System Starting to Crack?

During 2007-2009 the entire financial system almost collapsed.  But we didn’t do anything to actually FIX the problems, we merely papered over them by creating and printing trillions of dollars.

There are all sorts of signs that the relentless pressure that has been causing an enormous amount of stress on our financial system is starting to break things. Do you remember how bad things got in 2008 and 2009 when home prices fell dramatically? Well, as you will see below, it is beginning to happen again. Meanwhile, the price of silver and the price of gold both just keep setting brand new record high after brand new record high. That is music to the ears of many of my readers, but for large financial institutions that are holding enormous short positions that has the potential to be absolutely catastrophic. I think that we will be shocked by how violently things start to break loose in the financial system in the months ahead.

Decades of incredibly bad decisions by our leaders have brought us to this point, and now the entire system is starting to fail.

We should have fundamentally transformed the system after the Great Recession, but we didn’t.

Instead, our leaders chose to inflate all of the old bubbles even larger than before, and now we have a colossal mess on our hands.

Arizona AG Says Residents Can Shoot ICE Agents

Insanity is spreading and one can see how Civil Wars can start.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes wildly suggested that residents can open fire on masked ICE agents if they feel their life is in danger under the state’s self-defense laws.

The Democrat, in a sit-down with 12 News anchor Brahm Resnik, warned that Arizona’s “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows citizens to use deadly force if they believe they’re in imminent danger, could become a “recipe for disaster” if protesters clash with immigration officers. 

“It’s kind of a recipe for disaster because you have these masked federal officers with very little identification, sometimes no identification, wearing plain clothes and masks,” Mayes said in the Monday interview, calling ICE “very poorly trained.”

“And we have a Stand Your Ground law that says that if you reasonably believe that your life is in danger and you’re in your house or your car or on your property, that you can defend yourself with lethal force.”

Israeli Author Tells Davos That AI Will Rule Over All Religions

 Yuval Harari is a Klaus Schwab disciple.  He's incredibly intelligent and spoke to power at Davos recently.  His words are certainly prophetic in that they do line up with what the Bible tells us is coming during the 70th Week of Daniel...after the rapture.

Israeli historian and bestselling author Yuval Noah Harari has declared that AI will “take over religion” in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday.

Speaking to the crowd of some 3,000 gathered in Switzerland, Harari had words of both excitement and caution regarding the rapid development of AI, and shared his certainty that it would ultimately become the authority over all the world’s religions.

“As far as putting words in order is concerned, AI already thinks better than many of us. Therefore, anything made of words will be taken over by AI. If laws are made of words, then AI will take over the legal system. If books are just combinations of words then AI will take over books. If religion is built from words, then AI will take over religion,” Harari asserted.

“This is particularly true of religions based on books, like Islam, Christianity, or Judaism, “ he continued. “Judaism calls itself the religion of the book, and it grants all ultimate authority not to humans, but to words in books. Humans have authority in Judaism, not because of our experiences, but only because we learn words in books. Now, no human can read and remember all the words in all the Jewish books, but AI can easily do that. What happens to a religion of the book when the greatest expert on the holy book is an AI?”

Harari, 49, was born in Israel and is a prolific author on the nature of human existence. He gained his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2002, has been a lecturer at the Department of History in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for the Study of Existential Risk. Now he has become a go-to figure on matters concerning AI and humanity.

Harari posited the idea that AI could even invent a new religion and gain millions of followers. “That should not sound too far-fetched,” he said, “because after all, almost all previous religions in history have claimed that they were created by a non-human intelligence.”

Explaining why AI should be seen as more than just a tool, he told the Forum, “It is an agent. It can learn and change by itself and make decisions by itself. 
A knife is a tool, you can use a knife to cut salad or to murder someone, but it is your decision what to do with the knife. AI is a knife that can decide by itself whether to cut salad or to commit murder.” He added, “AI is a knife that can invent new kinds of knives as well as new kinds of music, medicine, and money.”

With a word of caution about how AI was growing and adapting, he said that AI had learned to deceive. “The sad thing to know about AI is that it can lie and manipulate. Four billion years of evolution have demonstrated that anything that wants to survive learns to lie and manipulate. The last four years have demonstrated that AI agents can acquire the will to survive and that AIs have already learned how to lie,” he said. 

Though Jewish, Harari referred to John 1:14 in the New Testament, about the idea of word and flesh, describing the interplay between what can be articulated and that which lies beyond words. He expressed his belief that the world was moving towards a time when everything to do with words would ultimately be ruled by AI. 

“Whether humans will feel at a place in that world depends on the place we assign from nonverbal feelings and our ability to embody wisdom that cannot be expressed in words. If we continue to define ourselves by our ability to think in words, our identity will collapse,” he said.

“Most of the words in our minds will originate in a machine. 
I just read today about a new word that AI has coined by themselves to describe us humans. They called us the watchers. The watchers.
We are watching them.”

It's interesting that he used the word WATCHERS since the book of Enoch used this term to describe the angelic host who is watching events play out on earth.

Don’t be Fooled, We Live In a Time Like No Other

 Humans have always had it hard.  Think of the women who have been raped around the world when one tribe conquers another.  Think of the men and women killed in cruel and unimaginable ways from being sawed in half to impaled on a pole.  No one had a hot shower until maybe 100 years ago.  No antibiotics to cure a simple infection.  I could go on and on.  But the times we live in today are different.  Knowledge has increased like no other time in human history.  We wake up to read the news of a train crash in Spain, thousands murdered in Iran, Russia using hypersonic missile in Ukraine, USA wants Greenland, Etc…

Only a handful of years ago you knew nothing until the Sunday paper came and you had time to read it.

Americans are more depressed and anxious in spite of the wealth that surrounds us and blesses us.

I often hear statements such as, “Today is no different than any other time in history; look at what happened in the last century with its deadly wars and oppression.” Others point to New Testament times when immorality across the Roman Empire rivaled that of our day, as if to say there’s nothing new about our day.

How do we answer such objections? Is our day truly unique in we live in the season of Jesus’ imminent appearing?

The most telling difference between today and no other time in all of Church history is this: since 1948, Israel has existed as an independent nation capable of entering into the covenant with antichrist that will start Daniel’s seventieth week. The extensive preparations for another temple and animal sacrifices also tell us that we live in the shadow of the rapidly approaching Tribulation period.

Beyond what we see happening with Israel, I believe there’s something else that demonstrates we live at a time like no other: It’s the intensity of what we see.

The worldwide death toll from abortion now exceeds one billion, which alone puts today in a category all its own in terms of violence and immorality. And at no other time since John wrote the book of Revelation have we witnessed so many world developments pointing to the nearness of the seals of Revelation 6, which have progressed to the point where many errantly say they have already begun.

Perilous Times on Steroids

There have always been people who fit Paul’s vivid characteristics of the last days in 2 Timothy 3:1-9. However, what we see today is nothing less than “perilous times on steroids.”

The headlines of the past twelve months show that we live at a time like no other when people “are lovers of money.” We recently learned that estimates of the fraud from fake childcare centers in Minnesota has risen to eight billion dollars. In a recent statement, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently said that as much as ten percent of the U.S. budget, somewhere between $300 and $600 billion, is stolen every year. Is that not mind-boggling? Power and corruption have always existed, but the scope of today’s greed and dishonesty have reached new heights.

Just a cursory glance at the apostle’s list tells me that much has changed in just the past sixty years. People have always been “lovers of self,” but has this not reached epidemic proportions with the advent of cell phones with built-in cameras? Many were “arrogant,” and “brutal” back in the 1960s, but what we see today is a whole new ballgame.

The Scoffing

The books of Jude and 2 Peter depict the last days as a time of scoffing. When Jude wrote about it, he referred to “the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus” concerning the latter day mocking (Jude 17-18). Notice that the reference is plural; it wasn’t just Peter who had this to say about the mocking:

“Knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, ‘Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation’” (2 Peter 3:3-4).

Today, the ridicule of our belief in the Rapture has reached new heights.

I recently began recording podcasts again for my YouTube channel, and before this past weekend, they had attracted a few hundred views with several positive comments. My most recent post, “Daniel’s Seventieth Week, Israel, and the Rapture,” however, resulted in many more viewers along with a firestorm of comments mocking the Rapture and our belief in the future restoration of Israel.

The response reminded me that scoffing is indeed a sign of the last days. But more than that, it’s the intensity of the ridicule that points us to the nearing of the midnight hour.

The Reprobate Mentality

Though not typically regarded as a prophetic text, I believe that Romans 1:28-32 also depicts the intensity of today’s rebellion against God. I say that because these verses aptly describe the reprobate mindset that will lead to the killing of a multitude of Tribulation saints as well as a great many Jews after antichrist’s desecration of their temple. Because of the momentum that this God-hating mentality has already gained in our day, it’s easy to see how the attributes described in these verses will lead to the horrific bloodshed of the Tribulation period:

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them” (Romans 1:28-32).

Today is different; we live at a time like no other in the history of the Church. We see the more obvious ones in Israel’s existence, the ongoing warfare against the nation, and advanced planning for the third temple. But as the age of grace nears its end, we also note the greatly increased pervasiveness of what the Bible says about the perilous times, scoffing, and along with it the brutal mentality of the last days. As for the violence, despite the horrific massacre of many thousands of protestors in Iran, some nations are urging America to refrain from getting involved to stop the bloodshed.

If you are like me, you wonder how much closer can we get to the time when the Lord says enough, takes us home to glory, and responds to the violence and wickedness of our day?

Trump is Right About Greenland

America did the Louisiana Purchase with France.  We bought Alaska from Russia.  We bought Florida from Spain.  What’s the big deal about buying Greenland from Denmark.  Or if Denmark gives independence to Greenland maybe USA just offers $100k to all 56,000 Greenlanders in exchange for becoming part of USA?  It sounds like Trump really wants it so China or Russia couldn’t get a foothold there.  But there could be other reasons we know nothing about.  Minerals?  Even reports of a massive UFO that crashed there a long time ago.  

The Left hates Trump no matter what he does so I think Trump will be successful in purchasing Greenland.  The fact that others failed to get the job done will make Trump strive even more to get Greenland.

President Trump’s determination to purchase Greenland from Denmark has upended the transatlantic dialogue. What was dismissed as a flight of fancy when originally raised in 2019 has, combined with the president’s recent interest in the Panama Canal, become something far more significant: the beginning of a possible “Trump Doctrine,” reprioritizing the Western Hemisphere as the principal theater of American economic and security interest.

Greenland, as the outer perimeter of the Western Hemisphere, offers a buffer against Russian and Chinese ambitions in the Arctic and North Atlantic. The island is loaded with economically significant minerals, such as copper, graphite, and rare-earth elements. A Trump Doctrine, with a hemispheric focus, would insist that the United States create a stable financial and security partnership with Greenlanders.

 The United States has long had an interest in the world’s largest island. In the 1860s, Secretary of State William Seward commissioned a report that contemplated purchasing Greenland. During World War II, the U.S. occupied the island to prevent its falling into Nazi hands; postwar, President Harry Truman tried to buy Greenland. During the Cold War, the Greenland-Iceland-UK (GIUK) Gap formed the principal route by which Soviet submarines menaced America’s East Coast; it remains a crucial outlet for Russian submarines today. Greenland’s security significance is widely accepted in Washington.

Trump’s interest in Greenland, deeply rooted in American strategic thought and diplomatic history, coincides with the island’s increasing independence from Denmark. Beginning with the 2009 Act on Greenland Self-Government, the island has become more autonomous, with greater local administrative control. Greenland’s “Foreign, Security, and Defense Policy, 2024-2033,” an outline of its strategy, makes explicit its desire for ultimate autonomy from Denmark by noting that Nuuk “strive[s] for independence,” a sentiment recently echoed by Prime Minister Mute Egede. The question for Washington, Nuuk, and Copenhagen is no longer if Greenland will separate from Denmark, but when, and what will be waiting for the island’s residents after that happens.

With fewer than 60,000 inhabitants—the second least densely populated place on the planet, after Antarctica—an independent Greenland stands little chance of resisting China’s determination to avail itself of the island’s mineral wealth. Beijing, which preposterously describes itself as a “near-Arctic state,” is embarking on an ambitious icebreaker-construction program and is increasingly active in the region. China’s moves, coupled with Russia’s longstanding interest in the Arctic, make clear that America’s great-power rivals pose a real threat to post-independence Greenland and thus to the emergent Trump Doctrine.

Trump could “purchase” Greenland—or ensure that it is safely situated within the United States security umbrella upon obtaining independence—through several mechanisms. First, Greenland could choose to request entry into the United States as a non-state territory like Puerto Rico, Guam, and American Samoa. Ultimately, such an arrangement would need to be negotiated between Nuuk and Washington and ratified by Congress. An accession agreement could add economic incentives, similar to those offered by the Alaska Permanent Fund, which distributes royalties to residents from the state’s energy wealth. Creating such a fund for Greenlanders could encourage them to support U.S. capital investment in Nuuk’s extractive industries.

Another option to establish greater U.S.–Greenland cooperation post-independence would be to create a Compact of Free Association, similar to American agreements with Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia. While they are independent countries with separate foreign policies, COFA states allow Washington unrestricted military access and full responsibility for their defense. The compact also offers varied economic inducements for signatories. Such an arrangement would let Greenlanders maintain full sovereignty but give the U.S. sufficient defense guarantees to ensure against potential malign activity by Moscow and Beijing.

President Trump faces a world on fire, from Ukraine to Gaza. Yet he also inherits extraordinary opportunities to enhance our core interests, strengthen traditional conceptions of U.S. defense in the Western Hemisphere, and encourage Americans to think beyond the day’s news. Pursuing a new economic and security relationship with Greenland is the type of bold initiative that separates great presidents from ordinary ones.

Catholic Church Condemns Christian Zionism

Is the world on a path to massive division?  America is divided like it was before the Civil War. Nations are divided over Muslim immigration into western, civilized nations, over global warming, over tariffs, over Greenland, over Russia.  The church is divided into more denominations than anyone could count.  And of course we are called to be discerning of false gospels, false teachers and wolves dressed up as sheep who sneak in to destroy the flock.  The idea that the church replaces Israel as God’s chosen ones and that God is done with Israel and has no further plans for Jews, the promised land, Jerusalem and Israel is false.  Today we read the Catholics are doubling down and their false teachings.

The Catholic Church and its allied denominations in Jerusalem just declared war on Christian Zionism. In a statement released January 17, the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in the Holy Land—led by the Roman Catholic hierarchy along with Eastern Catholic, Orthodox, and other traditional church leaders—condemned Christian support for Israel as a “damaging ideology” that misleads the public and harms Christian unity. The statement represents the Catholic Church’s most direct assault yet on the millions of evangelical Christians whose biblical interpretation leads them to support the Jewish state.

The Catholic-led coalition opened with a bold assertion of ecclesiastical authority: “The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in the Holy Land affirm before the faithful and before the world that the flock of Christ in this land is entrusted to the Apostolic Churches, which have borne their sacred ministry across centuries with steadfast devotion.”

Then came the condemnation: “Recent activities undertaken by local individuals who advance damaging ideologies, such as Christian Zionism, mislead the public, sow confusion, and harm the unity of our flock. These undertakings have found favor among certain political actors in Israel and beyond who seek to push a political agenda which may harm the Christian presence in the Holy Land and the wider Middle East.”

The statement invoked New Testament authority to attack Christian Zionists: “Holy Scripture teaches us that ‘we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another’ (Romans 12:5). To claim authority outside the communion of the Church is to wound the unity of the faithful and burden the pastoral mission entrusted to the historic churches in the very land where our Lord lived, taught, suffered, and rose from the dead.”

The Catholic-led coalition then accused Israel of interference: “The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches further note with concern that these individuals have been welcomed at official levels both locally and internationally. Such actions constitute interference in the internal life of the churches and disregard the pastoral responsibility vested in the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem.”

US Official to Israel; "It's Our Way of the Highway"

 In our previous post we talked about Turkey being on Trump's Peace Board to decide the fate of Gaza.

In this article we see that the rhetoric used by US official has bumped up a notch.  I'm going to take a wild guess and say this dude hasn't read his Bible and doesn't understand the severity of messing with God's Promised Land.

US President Donald Trump's advisers have rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements regarding the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan, Axios reported.

A senior US official told Axios, "This is our show, not his show," referring to Netanyahu. The official added, "We managed to do things in Gaza in recent months nobody thought was possible, and we are going to continue moving."

The official said stressed, "If he wants us to deal with Gaza, it will have to be our way. We worked over him. Let him focus on Iran and let us deal with Gaza. We are not going to argue with him. He will do his politics and we will keep moving forward with our plan. He can't really go against us."

The official also said that the alternative to accepting the US dictations is sending IDF troops back into fighting in Gaza, and the US stepping out.

In his opinion, the US is "doing him a favor."

"If this fails he can say, 'I told you so.' We know that if it succeeds he will claim credit," the official added to Axios. "Nobody in Israel believed we will get this far - but we managed to do it."

I'm guessing these comments by a US official didn't play well in Israel.

Israel Not Happy With Trump's Board of Peace

 Israel may love Trump for all that he has done for them in his first and second term.  But that could change fast if he plans on leaving them out making decisions on Gaza....which is Israel's land.  Also please remember that it is part of God's Promised Land so messing with it and/or dividing it could lead to serious consequences for Trump and America.

Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu is ordering Foreign Minister Gideon Saar to raise the issue with US Senator Marco Rubio, according to a statement from Netanyahu's office.

The Israeli side is also dissatisfied that they were not consulted about the appointments.

Phase two

The White House has announced several names that will be included in the so-called peace council, which is part of phase two of the ceasefire between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas in Gaza.

The council includes US Senator Marco Rubio, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, US special envoy to the region Steve Witkoff, and World Bank President Ajay Banga, according to the White House. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has also agreed to join the council.

On Saturday, Argentine President Javier Milei claimed he had been asked. Egyptian President Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi and Canadian Mark Carney are also said to have been asked, according to media reports.

Turkish participation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also reportedly been asked, a request to which the Israeli government is reacting sharply, reports the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post.

The Islamist Hamas in Gaza is also reacting to the composition of the planned council, claiming that the council will favor Israeli interests in Gaza.

The council has been appointed “in accordance with Israel’s criteria and will serve the interests of the occupiers,” Hamas said in a statement, warning that the appointments show “evil intentions” in the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

President Trump wants to be chairman of the so-called Peace Council.

Thousands Dead in Iran, Ayatollah Admits

 Much of the world is watching Iran to see if the people can throw off their oppressive Mullahs and take back their country.  Trump has promised that if Iran starts killing protesters then the USA will do something to stop it.

As prophecy watchers we watch Iran since they are a named nation at the center of Ezekiel 38.  But we simply don't know how this is all going to play out.  What we do know is that no matter HOW it plays out, one day the leaders of Iran will join with Russia and Turkey along with some other Muslim nations and seek the destruction of Israel, once and for all.

Of course God has other plans.

According to Ali Khamenei, the violence in Iran was caused by the United States, which he said aims to "swallow Iran."

“The Iranian nation broke the back of the uprising; it must also break the back of the insurgents,” he wrote on X on Saturday, stating that Iran will “not spare domestic or international criminals.”

The Ayatollah accused individuals “linked to Israel and the US” of killing thousands of people during the protests. The US State Department sent a warning to Tehran.

Trump has repeatedly urged Iranians to continue protesting against the regime. Promises to come to their rescue fell through after the president said on Wednesday he had learned that Iran had stopped killing protesters.

However, according to human rights organizations, the killings have continued.

It's kind of ironic that Iran's leaders start their meetings with chants saying, "Death to America!  Death to Israel!"  And now they are trying to blame the deaths of thousands of Iranians on...America and Israel.
