Federal Reserve Takes Another Step Toward Digital Currency

 The Bible is clear that one day cash won't work  You see cash is private in that I can hand you $20 for a good or service and no one has to know what it was for, when it changed hands and how long you plan on holding that $20 bill before you give it to someone else.  You don't need any sort of mark, bar code, chip or ID # in order to use that $20 bill.  But of course with credit cards, debit cards, Venmo and electronic transfers the world has already started to shun cash.

Yes, crypto currencies are all the rage and there are thousands of stories of people buying $100 worth of DogeCoin or BitCoin and now it's worth thousands and thousands of dollars.  Of course the governments of the world are going to have to figure out a way make these illegal as they have no control over them.

Today we find this article about the Federal Reserves and digital currency.

The Federal Reserve is moving forward in its efforts to develop its own digital currency, announcing Thursday it will release a research paper this summer that explores the move further.

Though the central bank did not set any specific plans on the currency, Chairman Jerome Powell cited the progress of payments technology and said the Fed has been “carefully monitoring and adapting” to those innovations.

“The effective functioning of our economy requires that people have faith and confidence not only in the dollar, but also in the payment networks, banks, and other payment service providers that allow money to flow on a daily basis,” Powell said in a video message accompanying the announcement.

“Our focus is on ensuring a safe and efficient payment system that provides broad benefits to American households and businesses while also embracing innovation,” he said.

Fed officials have emphasized the importance of getting the issuance of a central bank digital currency right rather than participating in a race with its global peers.

However, the moves of multiple countries, most prominently China, in the central bank digital currency (CBDC) space has intensified talk about how aggressively the Fed should move. China’s progress has stirred worries that it could undermine the dollar’s position as the global reserve currency.

Powell referenced the growing popularity of digital currencies like bitcoin, though he said they remain inefficient payment mechanisms. Stablecoins, which are tied to specific currencies, offer other advantages.

“Technological advances also offer new possibilities to central banks — including the Fed,” Powell said. “While various structures and technologies might be used, a CBDC could be designed for use by the general public.”

The Fed has been studying payments systems for several years and plans to release a product called FedNow, likely in 2023, that would address many of the issues regarding the need for immediacy in transactions as well as the plight of the unbanked.

However, digital coins represent another avenue that central banks are pursuing to make payments more efficient. There remain multiple issues around implementation, though, that have held back the efforts.

“We are committed at the Federal Reserve to hearing a wide range of voices on this important issue before making any decision on whether and how to move forward with a U.S. CBDC, taking account of the broader risks and opportunities it could offer,” Powell said. “The paper represents the beginning of what will be a thoughtful and deliberative process.”

The Fed is working in conjunction with a variety of groups on the project, including the Bank for International Settlements. The Boston Fed has taken the lead on the project.

Of course many would see this is just one other sign, among many, that the End of the Age is truly wrapping up.  At some point the entire world will need to have a mark on their right hand or forehead in order to use any currency to buy or sell anything.  No more $20 bills...and even if there are they will certainly have an IFD chip in them that requires some entrance into the financial system using a mark, in order to pass that bill to anyone.

How Close is the Return of Jesus?

Yes!  I do believe that Jesus is coming back soon for his bride!  I don’t know the day or the hour but I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened at any time!  For the first time in human history there is a convergence of signs AND we have reached the point in our technological advancement to make all the things prophesied in Revelation very possible. Keep sounding the trumpet and keep working to scatter seeds. We don’t have much time and that should excite and motivate us all!  The Master/Bridegroom/Messiah is coming!

The past year has been a wake-up call for many people. A global pandemic... Riots and social unrest in countless nations... Fractures in the global economy... And now Israel and Hamas at war. Everywhere you look, it seems as though the end is near. Is it? What does the Bible say? Are these signs of the Second Coming? Are these events pointing to the soon return of Jesus Christ?

Fortunately, we don't have to guess. Jesus Himself told us how to recognize the general timeframe of His return. When the disciples said, "Tell us the signs of your coming and the end of the age" (Matthew 24:3), Jesus told them a number of things to look for. He then said, "When you see all these things, you can know my return is near. I'm right at the door" (Matthew 24:33). He also said, "When all these things begin to happen, look up for your salvation is near!" (Luke 21:28).

This means the #1 indication Jesus will return soon is all the signs appearing together. Both Jesus and the prophets told us what signs to look for, and the appearance of just one is reason enough to take notice. But the arrival of one sign after another demands your attention. It's the sign Jesus said to look for. This convergence of signs is confirmation our generation will witness the Second Coming - not according to me, but according to Jesus.

The Convergence of Signs

So what are these signs? Jesus and the prophets pointed to dozens and dozens of signs. This article will only cite a few, but the reality of each one of these signs is undeniable. And their convergence should convince you the return of the Lord is close at hand. These signs include:

Israel Back in the Land - God promised to bring the Jewish people back into the land of Israel before He returned (Jeremiah 23:7-8). He said He would call them from "among the nations" (Ezekiel 39:28), from "the farthest corners of the earth" (Isaiah 11:12), and from "north, south, east, and west" (Psalm 107:3). He promised to welcome them home from the lands where they were scattered (Ezekiel 20:34). When they did, He promised to return and establish His everlasting kingdom (Isaiah 11:11-12).

The Jewish People in Control of Jerusalem - Jesus said armies would surround Jerusalem, destroy the city, and enslaves its citizens. The Roman legions fulfilled this prophecy in A.D. 70. Jesus then said people other than the Jewish people will control Jerusalem for a time, until the Jewish people once again control Jerusalem. When they did, Jesus promised to return (Luke 21:24-28). Since 1967, the Jewish people have controlled Jerusalem.

The Gospel Preached Throughout the World - When asked about the end of the age and the signs of His coming, Jesus said to look for a very specific sign. He said the Gospel will be preached throughout the entire world. Every nation will hear it. And then? And then, the end will come (Matthew 24:14). For centuries after the crucifixion, the Gospel was confined to a small area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. 

In the past two centuries, Christians have brought the Gospel to every nation in the world. Today, missionaries are in every nation. The Bible is translated in hundreds of languages, and the message of Jesus is sent around the world by radio, TV, satellite, and the Internet. This generation is on the verge of spreading the Gospel to every last person on earth.

Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Major Abortion Case

 There can be no doubt that the blood of millions of aborted babies has been crying our to their Creator for justice.  And yet year after year we sacrifice these babies at the idol of convenience.  "We are too busy for a baby!"  "I don't want a baby yet!"  "We have no money for a baby!"  "My boyfriend and I already broke up!"  And the list goes on and on.

Here we read that the SCOTUS will take up a case in Mississippi.  Let's be prayerful about this.  Maybe Roe V Wade will be overturned and the blight of murder will begin to be rolled back?

The Supreme Court agreed Monday to hear a Mississippi case challenging the constitutionality of that state’s 2018 law prohibiting abortions after 15 weeks except in cases of medical emergency or when a severe fetal abnormality is detected.

The high court’s announcement that it will hear arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health came after it considered the case in conference no fewer than 12 separate times.

The ramifications of Dobbs, to be argued nearly 49 years after the Supreme Court legalized abortion on demand in Roe v. Wade, promise to reverberate for some time.   

In reporting on the high court’s order Monday, mainstream media outlets clutched their pearls and unsurprisingly characterized the decision to hear the case as portending a massive rollback of reproductive rights.

Pro-life conservatives everywhere can only hope.

Mississippi raised three issues on appeal, including whether abortion providers have third-party standing to file lawsuits on their own behalf and on behalf of their patients challenging laws related to the right to an abortion.

The state also asked the Supreme Court to consider whether the validity of its law should be analyzed under the “undue burden” standard articulated by the court in 1992 in Planned Parenthood v. Casey (a case that reaffirmed but modified the constitutional right to an abortion that the court devised in its 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade) and/or under the “balancing of benefits and burdens” standard as laid out by the court in 2016 in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt.  

Mississippi filed its appeal before last year’s Supreme Court decision, June Medical Services v. Russo, a case in which the high court ruled that a law requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals constituted an “undue burden” on a woman’s right to get an abortion.

Whole Woman’s Health was, according to Chief Justice John Roberts’ concurring opinion in June Medical, a deviation from Casey’s “undue burden” standard. So, despite the lack of an explicit agreement to take up the issue, the Supreme Court most likely will have to restate that standard as the one it will apply in reviewing Mississippi’s law. 

Some scholars believe the Mississippi case is the perfect vehicle to overturn Roe v. Wade and its progeny, including Planned Parenthood v. Casey. It’s certainly the best opportunity so far that the court has had to do so.    

Dobbs is also the first major abortion challenge heard by the Supreme Court since the newest justice, Amy Coney Barrett, joined the eight other justices.

Of course the BEST WAY for a woman to not have a baby is to not have sexual intercourse.  Yet in today's perverse society that would be unthinkable!  We have all been programmed to believe that if we aren't having sex by age 16 that there is something wrong with us!  Of course God created sexual intercourse as an act of intimacy that is to be preserved for 1 married man and his wife.  Not wives, not girlfriends, not lovers, not hook-ups, not screwing other men. 

God knows that if a baby comes of this union between a married man and woman who were married before God and said their oaths to God in front of witnesses, that the baby has the best possible chance for life, love and being taught the Godly ways of life, love, marriage and sex.

Of course Satan doesn't want this to happen.  So he convinces us all that "sex is natural, sex is fun, sex is fun with anyone!"  He knows that if he can convince us to ignore God's rules that the result will be mayhem for the unwed mothers and babies. He knows that millions of women will be willing to kill their unborn babies in an attempt to avoid the consequences of their disobedience.

It is an interview of a guy who was raised in Christian home, home schooled, Bible studies, defending the faith but never received the Holy Spirit. He was drawn into the New Age movement because he knew that rocks didn’t create all the life we see. He knew there was some intelligence as creator so when he started watching Ancient Aliens on History Channel, that all seemed to make sense.  Before long he was practicing mindfulness and meditation and soon the demons showed up and gave him out of body experiences, spirit guides and lucid dreaming.  Notice that Harry Potter is mentioned right away and also notice that 32nd degree Freemason is mentioned about 10 1/2 minutes in.

Delta Airlines Mandates Employee Vaccinations

We will probably say this again and again but if you can’t see that this Covid shot is a precursor to The Mark of the Beast mentioned in Revelation 13, you have your eyes totally closed. We always wondered how the Antichrist would force everyone to take his mark in order to buy or sell anything. And now we know he won’t have to force most people.  They will line up like good liberals and do exactly what the government tells them.  And when Delta, Walmart, Target and every other “woke” corporation starts mandating to see the mark before you can enter their business, the Left Behind folks who discover Jesus will have a near impossible task of surviving.

“Any person joining Delta in the future – future employees – we’re going to mandate they be vaccinated before they can sign up with the company,” said Delta CEO Ed  Bastian during an interview.

The company claimed that the vaccine mandate will ensure that the airline can safely operate while at the same time protecting its employees and customers from the coronavirus. (Related: Businesses threaten to push mandatory coronavirus vaccinations for employees.)

A Delta spokesman said that the vaccine requirement will not be imposed on the company’s current employees. The spokesman said that around 60 percent of Delta’s nearly 75,000 employees have already been vaccinated. Bastian said he expects around 80 percent of the company’s entire workforce will get vaccinated.

During the interview, Bastian noted that it would not be fair to his current employees to make vaccination a requirement for them to keep their jobs, especially “if there’s some philosophical issue they have.”

“I’m not going to mandate and force people if they have some specific reason why they don’t want to get vaccinated, but I’m going to strongly encourage them and make sure they understand the risks to not getting vaccinated,” he said.

Current Delta employees who choose to not get the vaccine will be required to get tested at least once a week for COVID-19 and will likely be prohibited from working on international flights. Bastian said this is because foreign governments might require vaccinations for anybody entering their countries.

“It signals confidence that we’re doing everything we can to keep [employees] safe as well as to keep our customers safe because customers knew Delta employees were being tested all throughout the process,” said Bastian of the company’s testing and vaccination regulations.

Tic Toc: The Prophetic Clock

 Here is a short article on watching Israel and watching how the Ezekiel 38 coalition continues to be set up.

God’s prophetic time piece, Israel, is a mess. Reeling from COVID, failure to form a government, and violence from terrorist-inspired “Palestinians,” Israel’s turmoil could be a sign that the prophecy clock is accelerated.

Each year around this time, the “Palestinians” start attacking Israel, and then when Israel defends itself with superior force, the “Palestinians” cry that Israel is racist, that it is attacking the poor, underserved “Palestinian” community.

The news media rarely mentions the billions of dollars that pours into the Palestinian Authority every year from various countries, and how that money funds terrorism against Israel. President Trump shut down America’s contribution. Joe Biden is reversing that policy.

Biden is opening up the American cash faucet once again for the Palestinians. Breitbart reports that the The Biden Administration gave “the Palestinians commitments of hundreds of millions of US taxpayer dollars–likely in violation of the Taylor Force Act, which prevents US funding of the Palestinian Authority until it stops paying terrorists and their families.

Biden did not seek any concessions from the Palestinians in return for that funding–no new negotiations with Israel, no end to inciting hatred. Now the Biden administration is rewarding the Palestinians for the violence by calling on Israel to stop the clashes–as if Israel wanted any of this to happen.”

This, at the same time Turkey is fanning the flames of violence.

The Jerusalem Post Sunday reported, “Accusing Israel of being a “cruel” and “terrorist” state is part of Ankara’s desire to use the tensions in Jerusalem to boost Turkey’s image.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday, May 8 called Israel a cruel “terrorist” state, as Turkish media called to “free al-Aqsa” in Jerusalem, just like he reconsecrated the historic Church of Hagia Sophia as a mosque last year. Writing in Turkish, Erdogan said he “invite[s] the whole world, especially the Islamic countries, to take effective action against Israel’s attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem and Palestinian homes.”

It is no secret that the terrorist organization Hamas is an object of diplomatic favor with Turkey, which allows Hamas to plan terrorist attacks from Turkey’s capital, Ankara.

The significance of these recent events is underscored by several end-time prophecies, but none more specific than the description of a colossal end of days battle found in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

In Ezekiel 38:3-8, the Lord says, “Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: and I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army…Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them…against the mountains of Israel…”

These areas mentioned in the verses of Ezekiel 38 coincide with modern Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Libya, and parts of Iraq, even Saudi Arabia.

Biden and Erdogan are moving the prophecy clock forward. Keep an eye on Turkey.

Rapture and Great White Throne Judgment

I was doing my "Bible in a year" reading today and came across this passage that I had never really seen before.  Of course we have all read it at one time or another, but I had never really SEEN it. 

John 5

25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. 30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

Now think about this and tell me if this is maybe what Jesus is referencing.  In 25-27 he is talking about the rapture when all followers of Christ, (his sheep know His voice) those alive on the earth and those whose bodies are already in the ground,, will hear the trumpet and be raised to get our new imperishable bodies.  These are all believers from the AGE OF GRACE that started at Pentecost and will continue until the trumpet sounds at the rapture.

He then goes on to say (28-30) that there will ALSO be a time when ALL who are in their graves will come out.  Those who are righteous will rise to live and those who were evil will be raised and then condemned to hell for their evil works.  Could this then be what Revelation refers to as the Great White Throne judgment?  Is this when the OT saints will be raised to life AFTER the millennial reign of Christ and his Bride?  

We aren't exactly sure and need to look into this further but wanted to lay it out there for your thoughts and comments.

We always thought that the Great White Throne would have all people called to it and condemned.  But maybe the righteous names WILL be found in the Lamb's Book of Life and the evil will be judged by their works recorded in the "books" that were opened?

Here is the response I received from him;

You are right that this passage speaks of two different resurrections.  Both are alluded to in Daniel 12.  The first resurrection really has two parts.  Part one occurs at the Rapture.  It is of those who are part of the Bride of Christ.  Part two occurs at the end of the tribulation and is for those who have died, either during OT days or during the Tribulation.  This is the resurrection to life eternal.  The second resurrection is of those who are not saved.  This is recorded for us in Revelation 20 and will culminate in the Great White Throne Judgment.  

The passage in Revelation 20 only speaks to one resurrection – those of the unsaved and their eventual condemnation.

So...the Great White Throne will ONLY be for the resurrection of UNSAVED people as we had originally thought.  The OT folks like King David, Solomon, Abraham, Moses, etc...will happen when Christ returns at the end of the Tribulation.  Cool beans!

Responsibility of Israel vs Arab Violence Goes to Biden

 We all know that Joe isn't running anything in his administration.  He's NOT making decisions.  He's NOT setting policy.  He's NOT answering any difficult questions.  So who is?  Most folks think Obama and Kamala are probably the one's doing most of the thinking and shaping.

Biden is weak and the enemies of America and the enemies of our allies know it.  Is it a coincidence that China has been talking really tough since Biden got in?  Is it a coincidence that the Arabs decided that NOW would be a good time to lob 4000 missiles into Israel?  Is it a coincidence that Iran is talking really tough since Trump left and Biden took over?

Prior to the latest eruption of hostilities between Israel and Palestinian militants, Mr Biden's only notable intervention in the Israeli-Palestinian issue had been to restore hundreds of millions of dollars in American aid to the Palestinians, thereby reversing the Trump administration's decision to cut aid to the Palestinian Authority over its refusal to maintain a dialogue with Washington.

Mr Biden's primary preoccupation in the Middle East has instead been to revive the flawed nuclear deal with Iran, a move which has resulted in the resumption of talks with Iranian officials in Vienna.

The renewed diplomatic negotiations over Iran's nuclear programme have taken place despite the fact the Iranian regime remains in violation of the terms of the nuclear deal agreed by President Barack Obama.

In particular Iran has continued to enrich uranium to a level well beyond that agreed in the nuclear deal to the level just below the threshold required for producing weapons-grade material, prompting fears that Tehran has resumed work on its clandestine nuclear weapons programme.

There are also mounting concerns that the Biden administration's decision to ease financial constraints on both the Palestinians and Tehran has enabled Iran to increase its military support for Hamas militants in Gaza.

Security sources, who asked not to be named, believe that Iran has been providing Hamas with military assistance for at least five years. The cooperation includes training in weapons production and operation, with Hamas militants travelling to Iran frequently to undertake specialist training, as well as visiting Iranian missile production facilities.

Remember friends, God's not on the throne "disappointed" to see all the things going in Israel, Iran, China, Gaza and other flash points around the world.  God's not "hoping" that Biden comes around and starts growing a pair.  God's not looking for some "good luck" when it comes to stopping Russian hackers from shutting down a massive oil pipeline in America.  All of these things, including a weak Biden and a godless DFL taking control of America, are part of God's perfectly timed plans.

I'm convinced that way too many folks who claim to be followers of Christ watch all the news going on and are filled with anxiety about the future.  Why???  What if our money goes to zero?  What if China invades Taiwan?  What if Russia invades Ukraine?  What if it doesn't rain in the corn-belt of America?  What if the US Military gets overtaken by liberal leftists who are more concerned about gender-conforming than they are about training warriors to defend this country?  What if the COVID's kill millions of old and sick people?

Just relax!  What's the worst that can happen?  You die and go to Jesus and start an incredible new chapter of your life.  Even if Jesus tarries for another 5-10-20-30-40 years many, many of us will have left these meat-costumes because of the typical things that make us leave them...cancer, heart disease, old age, diabetes, etc...

We have a glorious future in store for us that is going to happen really soon!  So be joyful!  Be exuberant!  Be salty!  Be filled with light and hope!  Jesus is coming as soon as the Father sends him to collect the bride.  If that wasn't true would Jesus have told us it?  And with all we see happening in Israel and how Jerusalem has become a cup of trembling, let's NOT BE SURPRISED if the trumpet blows in the near future.  Maybe even today!

Lebanon Undergoing Financial & Economic Collapse

What happens when a nation makes a whole bunch of financial mistakes?  Answer; ultimately No one wants their currency. And when other folks from around the world lose faith in your currency the demand for it falls. When the demand falls the value falls. At first it’s worth less as value begins to fall. Then the government has to choice but to keep printing to pay their bills. And then it becomes worthless.

Chasing the Phantoms of Alternative Reality

Today the West especially is adopting policies that flow from alternative realities that, frankly, do not exist.

Here I list just a few:

1. Catastrophic global warming/climate change is caused by man and must be stopped. I prefer to qualify the term "global warming/climate change" by the adjective "catastrophic". Is the world warming? Who knows? Is the climate changing? Probably. But neither global warming nor climate change is "catastrophic". Yet it has become almost an article of faith that the earth is on the precipice of an environmental catastrophe, requiring ever more radical handicaps on our freedoms and the economy.

2. White privilege in the US is responsible for crimes against minorities and disparities in wealth. This critical race theory has spawned witch hunts for secret and shadowy white supremacist groups especially in the military, which has empowered investigators to find evidence of these groups and root them out. It will be imperative that these investigators actually uncover such groups, whether they exist or not. Critical race theory is the old Marxist class struggle theory in new clothes. The Marxist class struggle theory postulated that we all are born into a class and cannot escape its prejudices. But notice that the Marxist and now the Race theorists consider that they themselves are not susceptible to the prejudices in which all the rest of us are trapped. Very convenient, eh?

3. Covid-19 is an existential threat to human life on earth. Constitutionally guaranteed human rights may be violated with impunity. Who gets to decide all this? Why, elected officials and government bureaucrats, of course.

4. Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) explains that government need not moderate its spending. Government can always manufacture more money in order to fund new programs and pay its debts . More government spending can always prevent a drop in aggregate demand. Government debt is irrelevant, because "we owe it to ourselves". MMT gave government elected officials exactly what they always wanted--carte blanche to spend, spend, and spend some more and not worry about justifying or prioritizing spending. As Keynes actually said, pay people to dig holes in the ground and pay others to fill them back up. What could possibly go wrong?

   
   

Champions of the above denials of reality refuse to discuss whether their view of reality is accurate. All are articles of faith and cannot be questioned. In fact, to question them is considered to be an admission of ignorance, guilt, or perfidy. One wants to destroy Mother Earth, enslave minorities, kill innocent people, and prevent all in society from enjoying unlimited prosperity. It's the old straw man fallacy on steroids. Furthermore, resources will be expended to pursue these phantoms, and more resources will be expended to protect oneself from being caught in a witch hunt.Society will live in fear--fear of global warming, fear of being branded a racist, fear of contracting a dread disease. Unfortunately, what society does not fear is that our lifetime's savings will be wiped out by inflation made possible by MMT.

Michigan School Punishes Non-vaccinated Students

If you want to attend prom this year at your high school in Michigan it will be free for vaccinated couples and $80 if you’re not vaccinated.

Next the Leftists are going to require a yellow star sewed on the outside of all non-vaccinated people’s clothing so stores can keep “them” out and vaccinated people can cross to the other side of the street when they see a yellow star coming.

“It’s not a violation of the law as we are not requiring individuals to receive the vaccine nor are we prohibiting those without a vaccine from attending,” Superintendent Jennifer Martin-Green said in an email to a resident.

“Southfield Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, disability, age, height, weight, marital status, genetic information or any other legally protected characteristic, in its programs and activities, including employment opportunities,” a disclaimer at the bottom read.
