More Syria

This article from the Jerusalem Post explains that Israel has told Syria, "If we are attacked by Hezbollah from Lebanon, then we might attack you."

Nasrallah, who is the leader of Hezbollah, in Lebanon, has become very, very vocal in the past few weeks and the rumors are running that they are getting ready to launch a full scale attack. After the Lebanon war of 2006, many enemies of Israel believe that Israel lost that war, and with it's governmental problems and low approval ratings from the world...they feel it could be time to crush and destroy Israel once and for all.

36% want to die

Things are getting desparate in Palestine. In an ominous foreshadowing of what is being talked about, this resident of Gaza tells it as he sees it.

Ezekiel 38 tells us that Gog of Magog will have an alliance with Iran and Libya, just to name a few. This passage describes in detail what has become knows as Ezekiel's war. It is an unfufilled prophecy that biblical scholars agree will take place somewhere before, during or at the end of the Tribulation period. This article hit the news today;

We are told that the Tribualtion will last a total of 7 yrs, with the first 3 1/2 in relative peace and the last 3 1/2 yrs being so violent that if Christ doesn't come to put an end to it, no human would survive. Christ must be very close if Tribulation events are coming into focus. This should be a call for all Christians to pray for the lost and to use our passion to try and snatch souls with the little time we have left.

Anti Semitism

I have read that Jews are the only group of people who are persecuted everywhere in the world that they live. I believe this is all part of the cosmic battle raging with Satan. Once God called out Abraham to start his Holy people, Satan put his eye on them and has tried to harrass and kill them no matter where they go. Currently they have a tiny strip of land that they legally bought and paid for starting over a hundred years ago, but even that is too much...according to the Prince of this world. This secular article describes how jew-hatred is building around the world. Just one more sign that what the world is currently experiencing IS NOT business as usual.,2933,337715,00.html

Temple Mount

It's amazing how much time is being focused on that tiny strip of land called Israel. And as Joel Rosenberg points out in his book EPICENTER, it's TRULY amazing how much energy and time is being focused on the 35 acres in Jerusalem call the Temple Mount. It's where the first (and only) two Jewish temples were built. The first by King Solomon and when that was destroyed, the 2nd temple was rebuilt by the Jews returning from exile in Babylon. There has not been a temple on the Mount since 70 AD when the Romans destroyed it, just as Jesus said it would be. But the bible tells us that the 3rd temple WILL BE BUILT, and for many in Israel, they are preparing for this certainty. This temple will be a focal point during the 7 yr Tribulation that Daniel, Jesus and John all speak about. Here is a good article to further this understanding and expand on the ABOMINATION THAT CAUSES DESOLATION.

Rumors of War

It sure seems that the rhetoric is heating up around the world. Lots of countries and leaders are upset with lots of other countries and/or leaders. And just as the bible foretold, the world's eyes will be on Israel. If the rumor is true about a coordinated attack on Israel later this month, it could result in a lot of countries being pulled into the conflict. Christ told us that all of this MUST take place, but not to worry. As Christians we should be a be a beacon of confidence, hope and joy in a world that is getting darker and more uncertain with every passing day.

I was out of the office last week and didn't have my computer, so sorry for the lack of postings as of late. It certainly is not the result of not having any prophetic news to look at. Headlines seem to be coming at a very fast rate. Another way to look at it is that the contractions of birth pangs are getting more frequent and more intense.

Isaiah 17 starts out telling us that Damscus will not be a city anymore. It will be a pile of ruins and will be deserted forever. Obviously, this prophecy has not come true as Damascus, which is the capital of Syria, is one of the oldest continuably inhabited cities on earth. However, it seems that tensions are building between Israel and Syria. Could things be shaping up for this prophecy to be fufilled in the near future?
