Iranian Earthquake?

As the rumors of war build, it seems that there were two earthquakes in Iran earlier this week. They were small, as far as earthquakes go, but now an Iranian scientist is saying that the quakes were actually successful underground nuclear explosions.

If this turns out to be true, Israel will have a very difficult choice. One, they can learn to live with Iranian nukes and just cross their fingers and pray that Iran won't ship a nuke down to Lebanon and give it to Hezbollah. Or two, they can launch a full scale attack on Iran and hope they blow their nuclear program back to kingdom come. If they choose this path, they will need to be ready for a responsive attack from Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria and probably a large uprising from Hamas in Gaza and the West Bank. Also, Russia might get into the action very quickly as they have signed agreements of cooperation with Iran, Syria and other enemies of Israel.

If this all goes down....what do you think the U.S. would do? Sit by and watch Israel fight for it's life all by itself? Or would we enter into the fray?

Confound the Wise

The global warming debate has been around for a while. On one side you have the "earth first" crowd who claim that man is causing the earth to get warmer. On the other side, you have people who claim that the earth heats and cools in cycles that man has no control over. The bible tells us that, "I will confound the wise and frustrate the intelligent". So when the global warming crowd met in London to discuss how man-made global warming can be stopped, it must have been very disturbing to see snow falling...for the first time since 1922.

Iran to Attack London?

The rumor continues to build of a military engagement between Israel and Iran. This article talks more about the time frame of when it may happen....between the U.S. presidential election and the innauguration...especially if Obama is elected. In a new twist, it seems an Iranian official has called for Iran to attack the UK, hoping that would somehow deter the U.S. and/or Israel.

The Iranian official said this;
"If we agree that such a scenario - with America, England and Israel at its center - is conceivable, then it would seem that the most appropriate means of deterrence that Iran has, in addition to a retaliatory operation in the [Gulf] region, is to take action against London. Experience proves that the [part played] by politicians in Tel Aviv and in London, in the [fanning of the] flames against Iran and in the urging of America to strike Iran, is no less than [the part played] by Bush," he said.

All Eyes on Israel

It seems that the world's eyes are focused on Israel almost every single day. How strange that a tiny county of 7 million with a land area the size of southern Minnesota, could garnish so much attention. The headline on Google News today is, again, about Israel. Currently, the Israeli government is having a tough time putting any leadership together. Olmert has been forced out by a scandal and Tzipi Livni is having experience issues that have people questioning her ability. You have to KNOW that the enemies of Israel are viewing this development as just one more sign that Israel is weak and may be on the verge of collapse. The bible tells us that in the last days that the Lord himself will fight for Israel. But before that happens, at Christ's 2nd advent, God himself will protect Israel during Ezekiel's war.

Here is the headline article today regarding Israel; http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/oct/27/forced-vote-favors-netanyahu/

Syrian Raid?

We keep our eyes on Syria for a number of reasons. One is that they are forever enemies of Israel. Another is that Isaiah has a yet to be fulfilled prophecy concerning Damascus. He says that they will be destroyed and Damascus will never be inhabited again. Another reason to watch is that they are strangely absent of mention in Ezekiel's war of chapters 38 and 39. Why?

So when this headline hit the news today...it bears watching.
"Relations between Washington and Damascus appeared to plunge to a new low yesterday after Syria's official news agency said the US had killed eight civilians in a helicopter raid in the country's east, just across the border from Iraq."
