Iran, Syria sign mutual defense pact

Vahidi (Iran's minister of defense) praised Syria's great potential in defense and military fields and said that "it is natural for a country like Syria - which has an inhumane and menace predator like Israel in its neighborhood - to be always prepared [against possible foreign aggression]."

Isn't it interesting that Syria has invaded Israel at least 3 times since 1948 and Israel has never invaded Syria....yet the Iranians refer to Israel as a "menace predator."

The Bible tells us very clearly who the Father of Lies is.....none other than Satan himself. So when we see whopper-lies being told like this, we can be 100% certain who the power is behind the lies.

And isn't it interesting that most of the world is beginning to believe them? Why??? Because most of the world is aligned behind and tuned to hear their father's voice....and their father is Satan.

Iranian Leaders "Scared"

It's hard to figure out what exactly is happening in Iran because the government has blocked most information coming or going. But if the protest rumors coming out have any truth to them....it could be incredibly good news for planet earth....and may postpone an almost certain military strike on Iran by Israel....along with the massive global problems such a strike would certainly cause.

(IsraelNN.com) An underground Iranian activist has told Israel National News that the country's highest official -- Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei -- was spirited to a "secret place" for his own safety and that the nation's religious leaders are "scared." The source - an activist in the global Iranian pro-democracy movement who is involved in assisting a group of some 30,000 students located in Tehran and several other major cities - said Khamenei has disappeared. It is the Supreme Leader who controls Iran's foreign policy, and specifically its decisions regarding its nuclear development activities.

In the past few days we have had quite a few posts on the financial condition of the USA. Why?? Because it is becoming obvious to many that an economic shaking is coming for the USA and we need to be prepared to hold on tight...

If my math is correct that's about $4.8 billion dollars per day. Remember...a billion is a thousand million.

So the U.S. government needs to borrow $4800 million dollars per day just to keep the lights on...forget about the $100 Trillion we have in unfunded obligations (Social security, Medicare, Welfare, government pensions, etc...)

What happens when the rest of the world refuses to loan us $4800 million dollars per day?

I think we all know what happens.....the wheels come of the bus....and the bus goes off the road.

Spend Our Way Out

If you or I had spent way too much money and were hopelessly in debt....how many of us would come to the conclusion that the only way to "fix" our situation would be to "spend our way out of it?"

It lacks common sense.

With that being said, it seems that that's exactly what President Obama has come up with as a solution to our current fiscal problems.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama outlined new multibillion-dollar stimulus and jobs proposals Tuesday, saying the nation must continue to "spend our way out of this recession" until more Americans are back at work.

Without giving a price tag, Obama proposed a package of new spending for highway, bridge and other infrastructure projects, deeper tax breaks for small businesses and tax incentives to encourage people to make their homes more energy efficient.

It you were China, or any of the other countries who we owed $trillions to,....do you think this announcement would build confidence in our ability to pay back our outstanding debt?

Do you think they might demand a higher interest rate from us when we go to them and ask for even more money??

Do you think they may come to a point where they so lack confidence and faith in our ability to repay that they will simply refuse to extend us any more loans?

What happens then?

As one Chinese central banker already said, "Where will you go for more money if we refuse....the moon?"

ELCA Questions Bible

By now, we all have heard the news that the ELCA approved the ordination of partnered homosexuals. I'm not quite sure what that means....but that would be for another discussion.

The same bishop, who for years has been pushing for gay-rights in the ELCA, had this to say today;

In a town hall meeting Sunday, Bishop Mark Hanson said, "the understanding we have of homosexuality today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the biblical writers." Therefore, he said, Lutherans should consider more modern views on sexual orientation.

Out of Bullets

That's what one key financial analyst has said of the U.S. government when talking about it's ability to spark the consumer to start spending and hopefully stimulate the economy.

The paragraph below is the one that caught my eye;

"I don' think you can cut taxes enough to stimulate demand," Whitney said. "For a 2010 prediction, which is so disturbing on so many levels to have so many Americans be kicked out of the financial system and the consequences both political and economic of that, it's a real issue. You can't get around it. This has never happened before in this country."

Friends, there are soon going to be many things that will be happening that have never before happened. It will shake many in the wealthy countries as their borrowed lifestyles run out of steam.

This could result in a level of anxiety and depression that has never before happened in this country.

Since all Christ followers are called to be salt and light to a collapsing world....we need to ask ourselves this question; If these days are coming soon....what can I do personally to prepare to lead people from darkness and into the light? How can I best prepare to help the Holy Spirit "snatch people from the fire"?

False Idols Will Be Destroyed

It's funny how many of us Americans can read our Bibles and say to ourselves, "Those nasty Canaanites...how could they be so stupid to worship those false idols. I mean really....how could anyone have faith in the false god of Baal?"

Yet how many of those same Americans have spent the majority of their time bowing down to the god of wealth and money? How much time have we spent accumulating wealth? How many things have we overlooked in God's Kingdom while we toil away the years building our 2nd homes, padding our retirement accounts and planning for the day we can retire to Florida and read novels by the pool? How much faith have we placed in our paper money system?

What if we knew that the U.S. dollar was going to be utterly destroyed in the near future?? What would we do if we understood that our big retirement accounts were going to become worthless? What would we do if we soon understood that our Social Security payment of $1200 would soon be incapable of buying a loaf of bread? What would we do if we understood that all the banks were soon going to close because the currency within them and the IOU's on their books were all worthless?

If that happens...we really shouldn't be surprised...because God has a history of destroying idols that His people have fallen in love with.

So when I ran across these paragraphs in a financial site....it has caused me to be even more reflective as I contemplate the potential nearness of the destruction of America's false idol;....the U.S. dollar.

The U.S. economy has been fueled by easy credit for decades. The fact that Americans have dumped credit in favor of cash means they will be spending FAR less this holiday season than any MSM economist wants to admit to. I believe the seasonal retail numbers for 2009 will be startling to many who are not aware of the true condition of the economy, and who have blindly believed the Federal Reserve’s announcements that the recession is “over.”

We have predicted for at least the past two years that the primary collapse of the U.S. economy would occur in 2010. We stand by that prediction. Our hopes remain that this prediction will be proven incorrect, and that all will be well, however we have no illusions according to the current data that this will be so. Personally, I have no idea if this is going to happen in 2010 or if it won't happen til 2110....but one thing I know for sure....when Jesus Christ comes in the clouds at the Rapture.....all of our networth's will go to zero. We won't care about our 2nd homes, our 401k balances or the soon destroyed USA and it's greenback dollars.

And yes....when millions of born-again followers of Jesus Christ are Raptured out of the USA....it will be the final death blow for the USA as it simply won't be able to recover from such a loss of productive, taxpaying, citizens.

USA Blocking 12th Imam?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims the United States is attempting to thwart the return of mankind's savior, according to reports from Al Arabiya, a television news station based in Dubai.

Ahmadinejad reportedly claims he has documented evidence that the U.S. is blocking the return of Mahdi, the Imam believed by Muslims to be the savior.

“We have documented proof that they believe that a descendant of the prophet of Islam will raise in these parts and he will dry the roots of all injustice in the world,” Ahmadinejad said during a speech on Monday, according to Al Arabiya.

"They have devised all these plans to prevent the coming of the Hidden Imam because they know that the Iranian nation is the one that will prepare the grounds for his coming and will be the supporters of his rule," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.

Hey!! What do you say we allow this guy to cook some nuclear bombs??

Can all of us see how the Antichrist is literally paving a road for himself to enter the world stage?

Can all of us start to see how the world is going to accept the Antichrist as a savior....especially if he comes performing signs and miracles? Many Muslims may believe him to be the Mahdi and many Jews may believe he is the messiah and the rest of planet earth will simply consider him a great "peacemaker" who has incredible charisma and power.

Lord...please save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil....for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory...forever and ever...Amen.

Paper Money

Why is it that if I hand you a U.S. bill that says $100, that many people would be willing to work hard for 8 hours in exchange for that bill?

Simple answer....because we have faith. Faith in what? Faith that we will be able to take that same piece of paper and give it to someone else in exchange for some form of labor, service or good. Of course, you first need to find that "someone else" who also has the same faith in order to accept your bill. And presently, that "someone else" is just about every person or company in the country.

Now expand that same idea and go globally. Why would China be willing to take a piece of paper in exchange for 100,000 tons of steel that they worked their butts off to produce, put on a ship and bring it to one of our ports? Same answer; because they have faith that they will be able to spend that paper somewhere else in the world.

Faith is really just a belief based on a set of circumstances. And faith can vanish like mist on a sunny day if those circumstances change and crush those beliefs.

Is it possible those circumstances are setting up at this very moment to utterly crush the U.S. dollar?

I wonder, though, just how far we have really come in the past 200-odd years. To give modernity its due, the dollar has cut a swath in the world. There's no greater success story in the long history of money than the common greenback. Of no intrinsic value, collateralized by nothing, it passes from hand to trusting hand the world over. More than half of the $923 billion's worth of currency in circulation is in the possession of foreigners.

But now the world is losing faith, as well it might. It's not that the dollar is overvalued—economists at Deutsche Bank estimate it's 20% too cheap against the euro. The problem lies with its management. The greenback is a glorious old brand that's looking more and more like General Motors.

A monetary economist from Mars could only scratch his pointy head at our 21st century monetary arrangements. What is a dollar? he might ask. No response. The Martian can't find out because the earthlings don't know. The value of a dollar is undefined. Its relationship to other currencies is similarly contingent. Some exchange rates float, others sink, still others are lashed to the dollar (whatever it is). Discouraged, the visitor zooms home.

Remember friends, most likely it will be a crisis of epic proportions that will usher in the Antichrist. Ask yourselves this; if the global financial system shattered....could that be a sufficient mechanism to usher in this coming world leader?

Also remember the Bible tells us that we are supposed to hold all things on earth VERY loosely....because all things are passing away. Don't fall in love with ANYTHING on earth. And certainly don't put your faith in ANYTHING but the Lord Jesus Christ.

How miserably we have failed at those clear instructions. Forgive us Lord.

The Day or the Hour

Most know what the Bible says about Christ's return....that no one will know the day or the hour.

However, it is clear that Christ expects his followers to understand that we can know the season of his return...and as his return draws closer it will spur us on to be even MORE urgent about spreading the Gospel message...and be even MORE serious about being busy doing the Master's work.

One of the biggest mysteries in the Bible concerns the timing of Jesus Christ's return to earth. Although the Bible tells us no one knows the hour nor the day when the Lord will return, the Bible is filled with many indicators or conditions we can use to assess how close we may be to the season of His return.

As you are about to read, many of the conditions spoken of in Bible prophecy which seem to indicate Jesus Christ's return is coming in the not-too-distant future are clearly visible in the world today, reminding us that He could come, to Rapture His Church at least, at any moment!

The paragraphs above are from a great article that list the dozens of signs that we are told to watch for. Of course, Israel makes the list quite a few of times.

Also for some of you who believe I may be insane for talking about the Nephilim of Genesis 6 and that we should understand they may return in the Last Days.....please check out item #21.

In the last days, fallen angels will mingle with mankind:
I know this one is going to be controversial, but there is a scriptural basis for this, as seen in Luke 17:26: And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
A careful examination of what was going on in Noah's day seems to suggest fallen angels were somehow mingling with mankind.
Genesis 6:4: There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

If so, one of God's motives in destroying mankind at the flood may have been Satan and his fallen angels, in an attempt to save themselves from His judgment, were trying to taint the bloodline that would lead to the birth of Christ.

We find Noah was spared from destruction for three reasons as seen in Genesis 6:9. They are as follows:
1) Noah was a just man.
2) Noah was perfect in his generations (note this reference to his bloodline being pure).
3) Noah walked with God.
There is potentially more to the numerous UFO sightings and alien abduction stories in the news today than we have ever imagined!
