U.S. Confirms Syrian Government Used Chemical Weapons

Once upon a time, Obama said that if Syria used chemical weapons, it would be the 'red line' that they dare not cross.

I guess you shouldn't draw red lines unless you mean it.

The United States has concluded that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime has used chemical weapons in the fight against its own people, the White House announced today.

"Following a deliberative review, our intelligence community assesses that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons, including the nerve agent sarin, on a small scale against the opposition multiple times in the last year," Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes said in a written statement. "The use of chemical weapons violates international norms and crosses clear red lines that have existed within the international community for decades."

While traces of chemical weapons in Syria were detected by the U.S. intelligence community months ago, President Obama and his administration had delayed making a determination on who had used the deadly agents.

The president has said repeatedly that the use of chemical weapons would cross a "red line" and be a "game-changer" that would prompt greater American involvement in the crisis.

"The president has said that the use of chemical weapons would change his calculus, and it has," Rhodes said.

The intelligence community estimates that 100 to 150 people have died from chemical weapons attacks in Syria to date.

Colorado Fire Most Destructive in State's History

Record rain in the Midwest following record drought, record flooding, record snow, record cold...and now a new record for fire damage.

The Black Forest fire in Colorado destroyed 360 homes and almost doubled in size Wednesday, making it the most destructive fire in the state’s history, KDVR.com reported.

About 38,000 people in 13,000 homes have been affected by the fire, the station reported.

The fire is likely to continue for a couple more days as temperatures are forecast to stay in the 90s through Friday, with winds gusting up to 30 mph, the report said.

Gov. John Hickenlooper has declared disaster emergencies for the fire and for the Black Forest and Royal Gorge fires, authorizing a combined $10.15 million to help pay for firefighting and other costs

As we have said, lots of folks from all walks of life have a feeling that something big is happening...but only those who read their Bibles have any inkling of what it might be.

Alien Invasion

As you read Revelation 19 about the awesome return of Jesus Christ, have you ever wondered why the nations would be gathered to make war upon Jesus and his armies coming from heaven?  Why wouldn't they be gathered to welcome him back?  Why wouldn't they bow in reverence to the return of the King?

Then I was the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the white horse. (Jesus)

What could the Antichrist have told these armies to make them gather and look to the skies?

Could it be that he will have the kings of the earth convinced that an invasion of nasty aliens is going to invade earth so they need to gather and fight?

Below are the comments of a well-known prophecy writer that were just published a few days ago.

Not long ago my wife and I were watching a 2008 remake of the movie, “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” It originally came out in 1951. If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s the typical plot. Aliens come to earth. It isn’t known if they are friendly or want to take over, so they are assumed to be the enemy, which is usually a good call─but not always. I’ll not reveal any more of the movie in case you haven’t seen it and would like to, but what I have relayed to you shouldn’t be a surprise.

I visited an Internet site that had a listing of supposedly all the movies made concerning aliens. They went back as far as 1951 and totaled 331 including remakes. I actually counted them. Yeah I know. I must have a lot of time on my hands.

The History channel has “oodles” of specials on UFO sightings and abductions and even aliens from the past to the present. (I haven’t bothered to count how many.) In addition, paranormal programs are becoming very popular and numerous.

Because of this, it is my belief that the world’s system has unknowingly trained itself to accept alien abduction as a plausible justification to explain the Rapture when it occurs. But I digress.

 

As we were watching the movie, certain Scripture passages started coming to mind. I have always asked myself, “Why would not people fall on their knees and worship God when seeing Him in all His glory at the Second Coming?”

Revelation 19:19 (shown above), comes to mind. Why proclaim war against God? Why not cower in fear and plead for mercy? Perhaps there are at least two reasons:

1. When Jesus returns at the Second Coming, the remainder of mankind left on earth during the Tribulation who chose not to follow Christ instead of the Antichrist will have become so hardened, they will be consumed with hate, greed, lust and every other sin imaginable. They will hate God for what they have experienced during this time. They will fear Him, but despise Him even more.

2. I think it is also possible that they “may” attribute Jesus’ return at the Second Coming as an “alien invasion,” just has they “may” attribute the same to the Rapture. Nearly any movie you watch concerning alien invasions will depict earthlings shooting first and asking questions later. This very scenario “could” apply to Christ’s Second Coming.

 

It could even be possible that both of these reasons “may” be applicable. One thing is sure, the Tribulation era may seem like judgment from hell, but when the Lord returns, it will be recognized as judgment from Heaven for rebellion against God.

Sound unbelievable?  Yep...and so does a flood destroying the entire life on earth while only saving eight people.  So does Adam living beyond 900 years.  So does a supernatural being called Satan who rebelled and took 1/3 of the angelic host with him.  So does the Nephilim of Genesis 6.  There are LOTS OF UNBELIEVABLE stories in the Bible...because it is a SUPERNATURAL BOOK from outside dimension of time.

As we have asked in past posts....do you think it's just one big coincidence that Hollywood is bombarding us with alien movies?  Nice aliens, bad aliens, funny aliens, horny aliens, alien doomsday, alien invasions, cartoon aliens...the list goes on and on.

 

Is it possible that we are being prepared to accept that aliens are as much a part of our universe as the sun and stars?

 

Is it possible that the Antichrist could convince us that some aliens are good and helpful to humans, but that the Jesus invasion of Revelation 19 needs to be stopped at all costs?!

 

Please remember that I believe these beings are NOT aliens from another galaxy or solar system...I believe they are demons in disguise.

A Voice of Reason Speaks Against Gay Marriage

We have a paper here in Minneapolis called the Star Tribune.  They are one of the lost liberal papers in the nation.  I believe I have witnessed people transform from Conservatives to Liberals simply by ingesting the Star Tribune every day for a handful of years....that's how liberal it is.

The Strib has one Conservative columnist and her name is Katherine Kersten.  She wrote an article last week for the Strib that I believe you need to read.

Minnesota plays pretend with marriage

The Right Side of History surely can’t be found on the Wrong Side of Reality.

One of the clearest things about Minnesota’s new gay-marriage law is that it requires Minnesotans to “play pretend” — to embrace obvious fictions as reality.

 

For example, the law states that citizens must view the union of two people of the same sex — who can’t produce a child — as identical to that of a man and woman, whose sexual complementarity is the only thing that can. The law also declares that, henceforth, “when necessary to implement the rights and responsibilities of spouses or parents in a civil marriage between persons of the same sex,” words like “mother” and “father” “must be construed in a neutral manner to refer to a person of either gender” under Minnesota law. But a woman can’t be a father, and a man can’t be a mother. It’s a biological fact Minnesota lawmakers can’t repeal, no matter how much they wish to.

 

Our lawmakers seem utterly untroubled by their vote to impose a regime of “let’s pretend.” What explains this?

 

Gay marriage is a crusade, and the driving force behind it is the secular religion of progressivism. This faith’s adherents put their hope, not in salvation after death, but in a hazy and glorious future here on Earth.

 

Modern man — at least many intellectuals — chafes under the constraints of reality. He longs to be “as a god,” to pretend that there are no givens, that “everything in the human condition is plastic and malleable.” In short, says Weigel, he craves to believe that “everything can … be bent to human willfulness, which is to say, human desire.”

 

Today, Gnosticism is most “powerfully embodied” in the Sexual Revolution and its ideology of gender, writes Weigel. That ideology holds that maleness and femaleness — two elements of the human condition that have always been understood as the essence of “givenness” — are now to be viewed as mere cultural constructs.

 

Weigel points to Spain’s Zapatero government, which passed a law in 2007 permitting men to change themselves into women, and vice versa, by a declaration at a government office — absent any surgery — after which a new national identity card, with the new gender, is issued. “It is hard to imagine a more explicit expression of personal willfulness overpowering natural givenness,” he concludes.

 

The gay marriage crusade is just the latest manifestation of the secular religion of America’s intellectual elites. Who knows what new game of “let’s pretend” our chattering classes will impose on us next?

Mark of the Beast Marches Nearer

We know that one day everyone on earth who wants to buy or sell anything will need to take a mark of some sort on their arm or forehead.

Just a few short years ago this would have never been possible for technology to track all the people on earth and the things they are buying and selling.

Today it is an easy reality...and Motorola is working on it.

Imagine not having to remember a half a dozen passwords and avoid having to input them countless times per day. Motorola is working on a digital tattoo or a indigestible pill that could do all the password authentication for you — no memorization or cheat sheet list required.

 

Motorola’s Advanced Technology and Projects Group Chief Regina Dugan, who was a former DARPA chief, showed off such an electronic tattoo at the recent D11 conference, according to SlashGear.

 

“Essentially your entire body becomes an authentication token,” she said.

 

Working with the company mc10 to develop a flexible, skin-like tattoo with this capability — which TheBlaze has seen before but it was used checking medical vital signs – Motorola is thinking this could someday be the next stage of durable, wearable technology.

 

SlashGear reported mc10 co-founder Ben Schlatka telling them last year more about the various uses of the electronic tattoo technology and also explaining how it could easily integrate into our everyday life:

“Imagine a kids’ fake tattoo that can sense how our bodies work: data from the heart, the brain, muscles, body temperature – even hydration levels,” Schlatka told SlashGear. “When a sensing technology conforms to the consumer and not the other way around, it can capture more insights for longer periods of time without discomfort or distraction.”

We hope this event happens after the rapture.  I believe that is exactly what will happen.  When millions of people vanish, it will be a major shock to the financial system.  People will be clamoring to put humpty-dumpty back together again...and a cashless society will really work well to accomplish this.

Assad Says He is Serious About Attacking Israel

Just a short little blurb here from the Jerusalem Post.

Syrian President Bashar Assad was quoted by Lebanese paper Al Akhbar as saying that he is serious about opening a new front against Israel, Israel Radio reported on Monday.

The Syrian president reportedly said his attack on the Golan Heights will be more extensive than a random firing of rockets at the enemy. Syria's attack will be well thought out and planned, and it will be lengthy and influential, he said.

We honestly don't know if Psalm 83 actually describes a war between Israel and all her surrounding neighbors, including Syria...OR...if it is simply a lament and request from the psalmist for God to come and exact justice on Israel's enemies.  There are some really good prophecy watchers on both sides of that fence.

However, we continue to watch this volitile situation with Syria because Isaiah 17 and the destruction of Damascus has never happened, so we know that it will.

With Damascus in the news everyday and Israel in the news everyday...it sure seems likely that something may pop any day now.
