90% of U.S. Population Would Be Dead in 6 Months

What does a "black swan event" actually mean?

It's an event the seemingly comes out of the clear blue sky and totally upends the current situation....and only after it has happened do all the pundits and talking heads stand around and say, "Oh yes, clearly this WAS a problem!"

But the funny thing about "black swans" is that VERY few people see them coming BEFORE they happen!

Think about the real estate and stock market crash of 2007-2008.  Did you hear ANYONE warning that 50% corrections were coming in real estate values and stock prices?  Was Matt Lauer or Megyn Kelly telling us that a massive correction was soon going to knock the global markets back by trillions of dollars?

Nope....except for a few who, at the time, were called "Gloomers and Doomers".

We have posted on this before but what would happen to America if a massive solar storm came raining down on us and knocked out our Achilles heel....electricity?

According to some think tanks, 90% of Americans would die of starvation, dehydration and civil unrest.

Now THAT would be quite a black swan event!!

America unprepared for devastating 'Black Swan'

WASHINGTON – Supply-chain disruptions often are the result of adverse weather, unplanned telecom outages, data breaches or even cyber hacking.

However, the one "Black Swan" event that would make these instances pale by comparison and result in a cascading disruption is a natural or man-made electromagnetic pulse event.

A "Black Swan" is an event regarded at the time of its occurrence as unprecedented and unexpected but later, in hindsight, understood to have been inevitable.

An EMP is in that category, since scientific experts repeatedly warn that a major EMP event is not a question of if, but when.

Barrett Moore, a security specialist and founder of the security company Triple Canopy, told WND that federal officials have modeled the effects of a "Black Swan" event on the timely delivery of food, water, fuel, medical care and technology. But they have done it primarily for the government's benefit.

"Seeing potential for large-scale chaos," Barrett said, "they have mitigated this risk for themselves by investing hundreds of billions of dollars in a continuity-of-government plan that has overseen the construction, equipping and provisioning of over 100 classified ‘haven' facilities accessible only to families and staff of government officials," he said.

"No parallel provisions have been made in our country for the general population," he said.

Years ago, Barrett noted, there were civil-defense centers in which the local population could assemble in the event of an emergency, stocked with food, water and essential medicines. But they disappeared in the 1960s.

Consideration, he said, should be given to bringing them back as one type of "safe haven" for the general population.

A recent survey shows that an EMP event is not on the radar of professionals whose industry is part of the supply chain.

A 2014 Supply Chain Resilience Survey, conducted by the Business Continuity Institute on behalf of the Zurich Insurance Group, asked the professionals to look five years ahead regarding potential, evolving world threats

They ranked the biggest threat as cyber attacks, followed in order by IT/telecom outages, outsourcer service failure, data breaches and adverse weather conditions.

Yet, supply-chain disruption caused by an EMP – a super-burst of energetic radio waves that could knock out the already vulnerable national grid – can either destroy or damage unprotected electronic systems by instantly overloading their circuits.

The immediate result would be catastrophic damage to all the critical infrastructures that rely on the grid, including automated control systems for electric power, telecommunications, transportation, banking and finance, food and water distribution and emergency services.

A natural EMP event would be a direct hit on Earth from a massive solar storm, while a man-made EMP would be a high-altitude nuclear bomb burst instigated by any adversarial country with a nuclear weapon and a missile-delivery system.

Given the level of U.S. unpreparedness, it is estimated that within 12 months of an EMP event, two-thirds to 90 percent of the U.S. population would likely perish from starvation, disease and societal breakdown, according to the Secure the Grid Coalition.

The coalition is an ad hoc group of policy, energy and national security experts, legislators and industry insiders dedicated to strengthening the U.S. electrical grid by seeking the passage of legislation and raising public awareness of the national and international threat of an EMP.

Do I believe an event like this will happen in America BEFORE the rapture of the church?

No, I do not.

Why?

Because Jesus said in Matthew 24 that people would be eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, just like it was in the days of Noah, before the flood..  So basically the folks on earth are just doing the everyday things of life and then Jesus comes for His bride and  the folks are left behind will endure the most heinous times earth has ever seen.  In fact the Tribulation Time will be so bad that Jesus said if he didn't return to stop it that NO FLESH would survive on planet earth.

Also remember that Jesus told his bride that WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FEARFUL....so please don't read these types of articles and believe you need to pack your bags, guns and food and got sit in your earthen bunker in Montana....

But...to me this article is one more reminder of the awful things that WILL HAPPEN during the Great Tribulation....and if we can see all sorts of warnings and rumblings that The Tribulation is close.....and our "Blessed Hope" is that the rapture of the church PRECEDES this wrath of God....then HOW EXCITED AND PREPARED are we for the trumpet to blow when the Father sends the Son to go and collect His Bride, The Church?

Exciting times!!

Matthew 25
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

US Marine in Trouble for Preventing Child-Rape in Afghanistan

For sure you have to read this article to believe it.

A Marine went into an Afghan officers quarters and beat him up because he was sodomizing a little boy he had chained to his bed.  Next he got in trouble with the US Military because he shouldn't have intervened....because sodomizing little boys is simply the "custom" of the locals.

KABUL, Afghanistan — In his last phone call home, Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr. told his father what was troubling him: From his bunk in southern Afghanistan, he could hear Afghan police officers sexually abusing boys they had brought to the base.

“At night we can hear them screaming, but we’re not allowed to do anything about it,” the Marine’s father, Gregory Buckley Sr., recalled his son telling him before he was shot to death at the base in 2012. He urged his son to tell his superiors. “My son said that his officers told him to look the other way because it’s their culture.”

Rampant sexual abuse of children has long been a problem in Afghanistan, particularly among armed commanders who dominate much of the rural landscape and can bully the population. The practice is called bacha bazi, literally “boy play,” and American soldiers and Marines have been instructed not to intervene — in some cases, not even when their Afghan allies have abused boys on military bases, according to interviews and court records.

The policy has endured as American forces have recruited and organized Afghan militias to help hold territory against the Taliban. But soldiers and Marines have been increasingly troubled that instead of weeding out pedophiles, the American military was arming them in some cases and placing them as the commanders of villages — and doing little when they began abusing children.

“The reason we were here is because we heard the terrible things the Taliban were doing to people, how they were taking away human rights,” said Dan Quinn, a former Special Forces captain who beat up an American-backed militia commander for keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave. “But we were putting people into power who would do things that were worse than the Taliban did — that was something village elders voiced to me.”

The policy of instructing soldiers to ignore child sexual abuse by their Afghan allies is coming under new scrutiny, particularly as it emerges that service members like Captain Quinn have faced discipline, even career ruin, for disobeying it.

After the beating, the Army relieved Captain Quinn of his command and pulled him from Afghanistan. He has since left the military.

Here;  http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/21/world/asia/us-soldiers-told-to-ignore-afghan-allies-abuse-of-boys.html?_r=3

So the marine was relieved of command...and has left the military.

Tragic.

Just one other wonderful thing the "culture" of Islam has brought to the world....sodomizing little boys....

"Good will be called evil and evil will be called good."

Certainly the U.S. Military has to be on thin ice when it comes to God's blessings continuing to flow to them.  There once was a time when Army Chaplains could preach Christ...but no longer!  Sadly, when we forget that it's God is who made our nation powerful...our nation WILL BE torn down.

Read the Bible and see what happens to nations who turn their back on God....and turn their backs on Israel.

Is the World Looking the Other Way While Christians are Persecuted?

Jesus told us an interesting (and sobering) parable in Matthew 25;

The Sheep and the Goats
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

OUCH!!!  He seems pretty serious about asking us if we were mindful of our brothers and sisters who were hungry, tired, thirsty and in prison.

So how many of us are mindful of the 200,000,000 Christians who are currently being persecuted all over the world?  They are being raped, tortured and murdered and WHAT is the response from the Church in America?

(sound of chirping crickets)

"Well Dennis, I'm so busy chasing kids at soccer and hockey games that I don't have time to keep up on the news!  You know how it is....."

"Well Dennis, we just gave so much money to our church building fund to make a new coffee bar that we are just plain tapped out!"

Ouch!!!

I wanted to re-post this article from the Washington Post that ask a very serious question of whether the world is turning a blind eye to Christian persecution.  Now remember, this isn't from Christianity Today or Charisma News....it's the Washington Post.

“I hope that the international community doesn’t stand mute and inert before such unacceptable crimes, which constitute a worrisome erosion of the most elementary human rights. I truly hope that the international community doesn’t look the other way.”

The persecution of Christians is a theme that ran through most of the pope’s speeches this weekend. At a Good Friday procession, he decried the world’s “complicit silence” while members of his faith are killed. On Sunday, he devoted his Easter address to a grim accounting of global conflicts where Christians and others have been killed. His speech referenced the attack on Garissa University College in eastern Kenya last week, in which al-Shabab militants killed at least 148 people, reportedly singling out non-Muslims. It also referred to “absurd bloodshed” and “barbarous acts of violence” in Libya, where 21 Egyptian Christians were beheaded by the Islamic State in February.

“May the international community not stand by before the immense humanitarian tragedy unfolding in these countries and the drama of the numerous refugees,” he said of the conflict in Iraq and Syria.

Has the world really “looked the other way” while Christians are killed?

David Curry, president of the nonprofit Open Doors USA, which advocates for persecuted Christians worldwide, believes so.

“We see a continued pattern in many of these regions of violence and persecution against Christians,” he said in a phone interview. “But the West and Western governments, including the U.S., when they conflict-map these issues, they refuse to address the fact that Christians are being targeted.”

As evidence, Curry pointed to President Obama’s Friday statement on the attack at Garissa University. Despite reports that the attackers targeted Christian students and an al-Shabab statement calling the attack an “operation against infidels,” Obama’s remarks make no mention of religion.

“I think some people would say that they’re fueling Islamophobia [by saying Christians were targeted], but that’s not really what we’re talking about,” Curry said. “We’re talking about identifying the ideology of extremists.”

He added: “That’s a major part of this story. At some point we so have to say that [religion] is part of this conflict.”

It’s not the first time this criticism has been leveled at the president. When the 21 Egyptian Christians were killed in Libya, many commenters — mostly from conservative outlets — criticized Obama for not identifying the victims’ faith in his statement on the beheadings.

According to Open Doors, 2014 saw a huge increase in violence against Christians. Researchers for the group found that 4,344 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons between Dec. 1, 2013 and Nov. 30, 2014 — more than twice the number killed during the same period the previous year. Curry says those numbers are a low estimate, as the group only counts incidents in which the victim can be identified by name and an exact cause has been attributed.

In its annual “World Watch” report, which ranks the 50 countries where persecution of Christians is most severe, the group said the past year “will go down in history for having the highest level of global persecution of Christians in the modern era” and suggested that “the worst is yet to come.”

Here;  http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/04/07/has-the-world-looked-the-other-way-while-christians-are-killed/

Yep...the worst is yet to come.  And what are WE going to do about it?

Most of us can't go to Iraq and shoot our way into a town to deliver Bibles and food to our brothers and sisters...but there are people who do!

If you haven't been supporting a Christian aid association that focuses on the persecuted church....here is one idea where you can put your money where you mouth (and hopefully heart) is.

https://www.christianfreedom.org/

On this site you can learn much about the persecution and needs that are happening all over the world.  Make sure to watch some videos and let's see if we can get our local churches involved.

Bitcoin is Now Officially a Commodity

2000 years ago when John the Revelator was given the message and vision from Jesus Christ about what the Last Days would look like before Christ's 2nd Advent, people couldn't understand it because they thought the events John saw were impossible.  So rather than accept them as literal....they chose to say the book was symbolic.

This 'symbolic' claim has continued up until just the last few years.....

Just imagine the conversation;
"Hey John, are you serious?  You really expect us to believe that the whole world will ever be able to see anything at the same time?  You really expect us to believe that there is going to be some type of global currency that everyone will need to use?  Do you have any idea how far it is to China??  If you got on a camel right now it would take you 3 months to get there!!  There is NO WAY the earth could EVER have a common currency!  The distance is simply too vast!"

Of course electricity was 'discovered' 18 centuries later....and that was a game changer, and then someone discovered computers about 30 years ago....and today we all have hi-speed processors that we carry around in our hands!  We can watch videos, movies, make phone calls, play games and even track the movements of our family members all from a little TV screen IN OUR HANDS!!  And these smartphones are spreading to the far corners of the world!  Even places without malls or retail stores now have people walking around the jungle with access to the Internet and hence, the world!   CRAZY!!!

Certainly we are THE FIRST generation to have the technology to make John's vision a reality.

Today we find we are ONE GIANT STEP closer to understanding how the Anti-Christ will get hold of a currency/financial system...one that will require some type of mark on your right arm or forehead to access.

Most of you probably know that Bitcoin is an electronic currency.  It doesn't exist in paper or coin....it's all just zeroes on your computer and/or smartphone

Bitcoin Is Officially a Commodity, According to U.S. Regulator

Virtual money is officially a commodity, just like crude oil or wheat.

So says the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which on Thursday announced it had filed and settled charges against a Bitcoin exchange for facilitating the trading of option contracts on its platform.

“In this order, the CFTC for the first time finds that Bitcoin and other virtual currencies are properly defined as commodities,” according to the press release.

While market participants have long discussed whether Bitcoin could be defined as a commodity, and the CFTC has long pondered whether the cryptocurrency falls under its jurisdiction, the implications of this move are potentially numerous.

By this action, the CFTC asserts its authority to provide oversight of the trading of cryptocurrency futures and options, which will now be subject to the agency’s regulations. In the event of wrongdoing, such as futures manipulation, the CFTC will be able to bring charges against bad actors.

If a company wants to operate a trading platform for Bitcoin derivatives or futures, it will need to register as a swap execution facility or designated contract market, just like the CME Group. And Coinflip—the target of the CFTC action—is hardly the only company that provides a platform to trade Bitcoin derivatives or futures.

“While there is a lot of excitement surrounding Bitcoin and other virtual currencies, innovation does not excuse those acting in this space from following the same rules applicable to all participants in the commodity derivatives markets,” said Aitan Goelman, the CFTC’s director of enforcement, in a statement.

Since Coinflip is not alone in providing a platform to trade Bitcoin derivatives or futures, Goelman’s words imply that other unregulated exchanges could soon attract the attention of the CFTC.

As such, the CFTC is bringing dealings in Bitcoin, long prized for its anonymity, into the light. While this could help clean up U.S. trading around the product, potentially helping to avoid a repeat of the Mt. Gox escapade, it is also likely to increase the cost of doing business.

Coinflip consented to the order without admitting or denying any of its findings or conclusions.

“The cease and desist was a fair settlement,” Francisco Riordan, Coinflip’s chief executive officer, said in response to a request for comment. He said that customer funds had been refunded in July 2014, before the CFTC made contact with the company: “There wasn’t enough trade volume for the site to sustain itself.”

The Comfortable Church

Are you part of a church that doesn't want to preach anything from the pulpit that might be 'divisive'?

"Well Dennis, our church just chooses to stay away from "End Times" messages because they can be SO divisive!"

"Well Dennis, our church just chooses to stay away from the whole "Gay marriage" topic because sexual orientation is just such a divisive topic!"

"Well Dennis, our church just doesn't want to take a stand against Islam or other religions because lots of our attenders have friends in other religions and we just don't want to be divisive....plus who are we to really say another religion is wrong?"

"Well Dennis, we really don't preach on the topic of abortion because as you know there are lots of good people who support it and lots of good people who are opposed...and we just don't want to be divisive."

"Well Dennis, we really don't like to preach about Christianity being the ONLY way to heaven, because we believe there are lots of good paths to God...and we don't want to be divisive."

"Well Dennis, we really don't preach on hell anymore because we find that all that "fire and brimstone" stuff is just not what folks want to hear on a Sunday morning!"

Have you heard any of these?  Have our churches all just grown lukewarm because we believe that UNITY trumps everything else?  Have we become unwilling to take a stand on anything because it might be offensive to someone?  Have we become so comfortable in our padded pews with cup-holders for our coffee that we have CEASED being salt and light to a world on a highway to hell?

Here is a devotional I received today and it appears to be very timely.

The Comfortable Church

“Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” (Revelation 3:17)

This is the heart of Christ’s rebuke of the church at Laodicea, the “lukewarm” church (v. 16) of the last days. This is an evangelical church for its candlestick is still in place (note Revelation 1:20; 2:5), but it has become a neutral church, “neither cold nor hot” (3:15). The reason for its tepid witness is because it has become “rich, and increased with goods,” comfortable in a culture which tends to equate material prosperity with success and God’s favor. It may have acquired large and beautiful facilities, developed special programs of many kinds, featured a variety of musicians and other artists, and even gained a measure of political power. Yet, Christ calls it poor and blind and naked!

Not all large churches become like this, of course, but it is always a real danger. The desire for large congregations can easily lead to compromising biblical standards of doctrine and practice. “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion,” the prophet warned (Amos 6:1).

Note that the Lord began His letter to the Laodicean church by identifying Himself as “the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God” (Revelation 3:14). This strongly suggests that a major reason for the development of such complacency in a large church (or a small church, for that matter) is neglect of these three doctrines—the sufficiency of Christ, the inerrant authority of God’s Word, and the special creation of all things by God.

The letter to this church ends with the sad picture of Christ standing at its door, seeking admission (v. 20). “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” (v. 22). HMM

If you are part of a church that isn't actively preaching the ENTIRE WORD of God, even the "divisive" passages....you probably should find a new church.  Remember EVERYONE OF US is going to have to give an accounting to Jesus on what we did with our time and talents during our short time on earth.

"But Jesus, our church never told us any of that stuff because they thought it was too divisive!"

Do Liberals Who Support Iran Deal Have any Clue?

Do you remember a segment Jay Leno used to do called, "Jay-walking"?  He would hit a college campus or just the sidewalks of Los Angeles and ask people some pretty obvious questions.  We viewers were always pretty amazed at the ignorance of the folks he would talk to.  Whenever I would see a segment of it I would always think to myself, "Wow!  And those people get to vote."

The video I will post below show a reporter going into a liberal area of Manhattan where Obama support is at or near 100% and asking people if they support his Iran deal.  The reporter then inserts erroneous details about The Deal and asks the folks if they agree with those details.  They say they do....but when they find out those details aren't part of the actual deal...they aren't sure they can support it anymore.

Watch it here;  http://unitedwithisrael.org/watch-do-american-supporters-of-the-iran-deal-actually-know-what-it-says/?utm_source=MadMimi&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Shocking+Ignorance+About+Iran%3B+Temple+Mount+Wars%3B+ISIS+vs+USA&utm_campaign=20150916_m127401427_Shocking+Ignorance+About+Iran%3B+Temple+Mount+Wars%3B+ISIS+vs+USA&utm_term=watch_btn_light_png

You can't help but notice the liberal at the end who says, "I just want everyone to be friends."

I suppose he also wants everyone to have a flying unicorn as a personal pet.

Poor, deluded, liberals.  Once they deny in their hearts that Jesus/God was the Creator of all things, their minds just get turned to mush and their thinking becomes futile and foolish.  Romans Chapter 1.
