Armageddon Alarm Bells
We haven't heard much about Pakistan as of late and because we are all victims of a 10 minute-news-cycle mentality...we just assume that there is no news happening there. And really, ever since Michael Jackson died....maybe events all over the planet have just slowed to nothing so they could also observe the tragic demise of the King of Pop?
Obviously that's not the case. Pakistan is growing more dangerous every day as the threat of Islamic extremists overthrowing the nation continues to rise. Remember this; the war on terror currently centered in Afghanistan has EVERYTHING to do with what happens in Pakistan as they share a common border and the Taliban moves freely along that border. And how long will it be until the U.S. loses interest in the war in Afghanistan? Already, most U.S. citizens have NO CLUE what the war is about and also have NO CLUE how a sorry outcome may affect us. What we do know is the the U.S. is running out of money...and it is going to get exceedingly more difficult to keep paying for military operations all over the world...especially when our own Vice President is warning of a U.S. bankruptcy.
