US Missile Defense WILL NOT Stop North Korean Missiles
It would seem like 99.9% of Americans are saying "peace and safety" even while we are being threatened with serious military assault on numerous sides.
Iran says they want to destroy America. So does North Korea. Bring in Russia and China who also have aims for world domination and you can see that lots of folks would like to knock America off her KING OF THE HILL status.
"But Dennis, I don't even give it a thought! America will always be an incredible nation. Nothing will ever happen to knock us down. We have a missile defense shield that totally protects us from nations firing missiles at us."
Really?
Many years have passed since the United States last held serious negotiations with North Korea. During this time, North Korea has tested and built numerous missiles and nuclear weapons, conducting five nuclear tests since 2006.
Still, North Korea does not yet have a working long-range missile that can reach the United States. But as Pyongyang grows ever closer to that capability, the story has been: "Not to worry. North Korea may develop such missiles, but they won't get through U.S. missile defenses."
Comparable statements continue to be made by senior officials, conveying a misleading sense of security to the American people. Most recently, General Lori J. Robinson, the commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, informed the U.S. Senate that "I am extremely confident of our capability to defend the United States of America and be able to intercept an ICBM should it reach our homeland."
Don't bet on it. In flight intercept tests, the performance record of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense system, America's only missile defense program designed to protect the homeland, has been miserable and tells a very different story.
Since the $40 billion program was prematurely declared operational in 2004, just three test intercepts have successfully killed a mock target in nine attempts, all highly scripted for success. If these tests were planned to fool U.S. defenses, as North Korea almost certainly would do, the success rate would be even lower.
Furthermore, the performance of the system has been getting worse over time when it ought to be getting better. Three quarters of the most recent flight intercept tests have failed to hit the target; that is, three failures out of four tries since January 2010. Clearly, the system cannot be depended upon to intercept an intercontinental ballistic missile from North Korea.
Homeland missile defense is often described as attempting to hit a bullet with another bullet. At its peak, a North Korean missile speeding toward the United States would cruise at about 15,000 miles per hour, and a launched interceptor would travel at a similar rate. Based on the immense practical challenges and the Ground-based Midcourse Defense system's poor test record, both the Government Accountability Office and the Pentagon's own chief weapons evaluator have reported that test performance has been "insufficient to demonstrate that an operationally useful defense capability exists."

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Minnesota. The birds are chirping, people are out walking their dogs, plans are being made for Friday night dinner with friends, folks are driving to their cabins to get things opened for summer and life is peaceful and feels totally safe.
BUT.....could that all change in an instant?
WHO is it that keeps America safe? Is it the men and women in the US Military? Is it our government who controls them? Is it our scientists who develop the technology to shoot missiles out of the sky coming in at 15,000 mph?...OR....is it Jesus Christ/God the Father who clearly has put a blessing on this great country and can take it away at any time He chooses?
1 Thessalonians 5
While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Deuteronomy 28
47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.
Yes, I realize that 2nd passage is a warning to the Israelites....but notice how America has turned from God more and more as we get more prosperous. Also remember that God is never changing. What He has done in the past he certainly can and will do again if He chooses. There is no eternal blessing mentioned anywhere for America. In fact America isn't mentioned AT ALL in Bible prophecy.
So where did we disappear to?
