Fiery UFO Over China

We certainly don't know what this thing was, but it doesn't look like a missile. Obviously SOMETHING was there because the airport was closed when the ship appeared in the sky.

A Chinese airport was closed after this mysterious object was spotted in the sky.

Arcing over Zhejiang's provincial capital Hangzhou, the UFO appeared to glow with an eerie white light and left a bright trail in its wake.

Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 pm and dozens of flights had to be diverted.

You can see pictures here; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1293395/Chinese-airport-closed-UFO-spotted-city.html

Of course we have no idea what this is but we know that it WILL add to the confusion that mankind is experiencing....and it will only get worse as the Day of the Lord draws closer.

Israel: A Normal Country

The streak of Israel articles printed daily in the Wall Street Journal continues. Today's article is exceptionally amazing and is titled, ISRAEL: A NORMAL COUNTRY

Notice first off who signed and wrote this article;

Mr. Aznar is a former prime minister of Spain. Mr. Trimble is a former first minister of Northern Ireland. Mr. Bolton is a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Mr. Toledo is a former president of Peru. Mr. Pera is a former president of the Italian Senate. Mr. Roberts is a British historian. Ms. Nirenstein is vice-president of the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the Italian Chamber of Deputies. Mr. Weigel is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. Mr. Agostinelli is managing director of the Rhône Group. Mr. Bustelo is a former minister of industry in Spain.

And now notice some of the amazing highlights of the article as the world simply can't quit talking and thinking about this tiny little country with a few million folks.

Israel is a Western democracy and a normal country. Nonetheless, Israel has faced abnormal circumstances since its inception. In fact, Israel is the only Western democracy whose existence has been questioned by force, and whose legitimacy is still being questioned independently of its actions.

The recent flotilla crisis in the Mediterranean provided yet another occasion for Israel's detractors to renew their frenzied campaign. It was so even before the facts of that tragic incident had come to light. Eyes were blind to the reasons why Israel had to respond to the Gaza flotilla's clear provocation.

Because we believe Israel is subjected to unfair treatment, and are convinced that defending Israel means defending the values that made and sustain our Western civilization, we have decided to launch the Friends of Israel Initiative. Our goal is to bring reason and decency back to the discussion about Israel. We are an eclectic group, coming from different countries and holding different opinions on a range of issues. It goes without saying that we do not speak for the State of Israel and we do not defend every course of action that it decides upon. We are united, however, by the following beliefs, principles and aims:

The article goes on to clearly articulate what those six beliefs, principles and aims actually are...so you simply must read them here; http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704862404575351430715581608.html

What an amazing thing! A diverse group of leaders getting together to announce their support of Israel.

And notice this politically incorrect statement that just so happens to be 100% true;

Fourth, we must never forget that Israel is on our side in the battle against Islamism and terror. Israel stands on the front line of that fight as a bulwark of Judeo-Christian values. The belief that the democratic world can sacrifice Israel in order to placate Islamism is profoundly wrong and dangerous. Appeasement failed in the 1930s and it will fail today.

Wow! I sure hope this article can be read and re-read world wide and that the six aims that they state will gain traction.

Certainly, if it did, the results would be world changing....and may even stay the wrath of God that is currently being kindled.

Rosenberg Speaks About Netanyahu

I realize many of you get Joel Rosenberg's Flash Traffic updates, but for those of you who don't I will post what he just said regarding Netanyahu's visit to the USA and what he told our media.

(Washington, D.C., July 8, 2010) -- Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is engaging in a U.S. media blitz. In part, he is calling for direct peace talks with the Palestinians. In part, he is trying to remind Americans that there are fundamental areas of agreement between Israel and the Obama government, despite 14 months of tensions. But most noteworthy to me is that in his public statements, Netanyahu is focused almost exclusively on jumpstarting the peace process with the Palestinians, not on highlighting the growing danger from Iran.

The nuclear reactor in Bushehr, Iran, will go "hot" in mid-September, it would now appear, not August as previously expected. And in a rare moment of Arab diplomatic clarity, the United Arab Emirates' ambassador to Washington said this week he thinks a nuclear-armed Iran is a severe threat to the Middle East and strongly hinted that preemptive military strike may be the only way to stop Iran from getting the Bomb. Yet, Prime Minister Netanyahu does not seem to be indicating that war with Iran is immiment. He certainly is not preparing the U.S. or the world for the need for pre-emptive attack in the next few weeks or months. Let's keep praying for the peace of Jerusalem and for peace throughout the region, as well as for wisdom for the Prime Minister and his Cabinet to know how best to deal with Iran in the weeks and months ahead.

Most interesting to me was an answer the PM gave to Larry King towards the end of their hour-long conversation last night. King asked Netanyahu if he ever has the chance to relax. Netanyahu said yes. On Saturday - the Sabbath - he rests and relaxes and he noted that one thing he looks forward to is reading the Bible for an hour an half with his youngest son, who recently won a contest on Bible knowledge. He said the time refreshes him spiritually and that he and his son are learning a great deal from God's Word. I really appreciated the PM's remarks and it reminded me of Psalm 119:97-100, "Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts."

In other events, Netanyahu met with U.N. Secretary General Ki Ban Moon. He also met with U.S. Defense Secretary Bob Gates. The PM is in New York today, and is expected to fly to Cairo on Friday to meet with the ailing Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak who is reported to have cancer.

Wow! Lots of stuff to digest here. Is it the calm before the storm? Or is Netanyahu simply showing an incredible poker face as to not tip off his adversary? Or is Israel just getting ready to deal with a nuclear armed Iran....just like America seems to be doing?

Stop Iran Now!

A short video has been made by a US lobby group called Citizens United. It has aired on TV and is being passed around the Internet on YouTube.

The video warns US President Barack Obama against making the same mistakes that then-British prime minister Neville Chamberlain made in his dealing with Adolf Hitler during World War II.

"He honestly thought simply talking to your adversaries could change things," says a voice-over as still photos of Chamberlain and Hilter are shown on the screen. The British leader, the video said, "believed appeasement was the path to peace," leading to the death of 30 million people.

See it here; http://www.jpost.com/IranianThreat/News/Article.aspx?id=180726

It seems that history has shown us that the leaders who long for peace tend to believe that all the leaders on planet earth share their passion for peace. And they will make stupid mistakes because of that erroneous world view.

What they refuse to realize is that many leaders wake up every day planning the destruction of Israel, the USA and The West. Sadly, those leaders can recognize a liberal peacenik and play him like an organ...a lot faster than the peacenik can recognize these evil men hell-bent on global chaos and a new world order.

Remember though, Apostle Paul told us our battle will not be with flesh and blood but instead will be a spiritual battle against the unseen forces of Satan. So even though the armies of the USA battle flesh and blood, the army of Christ should be fighting with prayer... on our hands and knees as we pray for our enemies and pray against the evil forces in the unseen realms.

I wonder how many of us who claim to be disciples of Christ are actually doing that?

Magog and the Kings of the East

Ezekiel tells us that someday (probably sooner than later) Russia is going to lead a coalition consisting of Iran, Turkey, Libya and some other Arab-North African countries, in an attempt to destroy Israel once and for all.

They won't be successful since God himself will fight for Israel as He has done in the past. And the gathered armies will be supernaturally destroyed. Cool!

And then at the end of The Tribulation we are told that the Kings of the East (China, Korea, India?) will march across the dried up Euphrates River with a HUGE army of 200,000,000 soldiers.

They also will be supernaturally destroyed when Christ returns. This is called Armageddon.

A reader sent me this graphic showing the number of land based weapons each country has. If you look at the first two on the list, Russia and China, it appears they may be unknowingly preparing for some big military excursion.

See it here; http://www.globalfirepower.com/landbased-weapons-total.asp

Furthermore, if you remove the USA from the list (because we will collapse soon after the rapture) and look at the countries on the list who are left....you will see that Israel will be all alone and seemingly at the mercy of Russia and the Kings of the East.

Makes one wonder??

Bibi Meets Barack

Readers of this blog know that all eyes are on Israel. It is the epicenter of what is happening today and will be the epicenter of all that happens in the future...up to and including the time when Jesus returns at the end of The Tribulation and sits on David's throne to usher in The Thousand Year Reign.

That being said, there are no less than three articles in today's Wall Street Journal that have something to do with Israel. Simply more confirmation that we are in the season.

One of them is titled, "WHEN BIBI MET BARACK (TAKE FOUR)"

The article starts with some pretty good news concerning the U.S.-Israeli relationship.

Of all the diplomatic noises heard during Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting yesterday with President Obama, the most significant may have been the clicking cameras of the White House press pool. Unlike at their last two encounters—both closed to the media—the Israeli Prime Minister is at last being accorded the ordinary courtesies granted to visiting foreign leaders.

It's good to see Mr. Obama finally treating a key American ally as something other than a pariah. The President even went one better, calling America's bond with Israel "unbreakable," cautioning Palestinians to avoid seeking "opportunities to embarrass Israel," and rejecting suggestions that there had ever been any strain in his relationship with his Israeli counterpart.

But then it quickly turns to concerning news about Obama and Israel;

That was the case when Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005: It received nothing from the Palestinians but got a written commitment by President Bush that the U.S. would not expect Israel to withdraw to its pre-1967 borders (themselves the product of a 1949 armistice agreement) in any future settlement with the Palestinians. Yet Secretary of State Hillary Clinton disavowed that commitment last year, saying Mr. Bush's pledge "did not become part of the official position of the United States government."

The same goes for the Administration's surprise decision in May to support a U.N. resolution that demanded Israel's nuclear disarmament while making no mention of Iran, a vote that contravened a decades-old understanding regarding Israel's nuclear posture.

And then it turns downright bad;

Mr. Obama's tilt against Israel has also been noticed by the Palestinians, who take it as reason to hope that they can hold out for even better negotiating terms. The Administration's overwrought reaction to the March housing announcement sparked some politically opportunistic rioting by Palestinians that might have led to a third bloody intifada. As it is, since Mr. Obama came to office the Palestinians have retreated to "proximity talks" mediated by U.S. emissary George Mitchell instead of dealing directly with the Israelis, a retreat from the practice of the previous 16 years. The Palestinians are no fools: They know how to push a friendly U.S. Administration to push Israel.

Ouch! Pushing and pressing Israel and having Team Obama come up with swell ideas on how to divide Jerusalem and Israel....that sounds like a recipe for disaster! One that Obama would have absolutely no understanding of or even belief in.

Why? Because I would bet one U.S. dollar that Obama doesn't meditate daily on the Word of God....so would have no idea of the significance of Israel...or the season we are in.

NASA and Muslims

Honestly, the article we will post below is one of those where you read it and just say, "What the dickens is going on?"

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his "foremost" mission as the head of America's space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA's orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him.

He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel. (Whaaaat??)

"When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering," Bolden said in the interview.

See it here; http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/07/05/nasa-chief-frontier-better-relations-muslims/#content

Ummm...excuse me....Mr. Bolden....I have a question please? Have there been any patents, inventions, Nobel peace prizes, technology or ANYTHING that has been added to the human race by the Muslim world in the past 1000 years?

This reminds me of what is going on in children's athletics today when the young kids aren't allowed to keep score. That's so everyone can go home feeling like winners and no one will feel bad. At the end of the season they all get "Participation" trophies. Oooooo! I bet that trophy will be a treasured prize!!! (insert copious amounts of sarcasm here)

Obama wants to give the Muslim world a "Participation" trophy for all their "help" in getting a man on the moon, the space shuttle mission and skylab put into orbit and the land rover on Mars.

Please ignore the fact the Islam and the Muslim world had nothing to do with this. Let's just pretend they did and give them a trophy so they can feel good about themselves and their, "historic contribution to science."

Sorry friends, but with each passing week I am buying more and more into the idea that President Obama is a practicing Muslim at worst, or a Muslim sympathizer at best.

And if it turns out that our President is as anti-Semitic as the pastor he listened to for 20 years (Reverend Jeremiah Wright)....I believe we all may be in a big heap of trouble.

Hat tip to Tom for the article.

Small Mistake--Huge Consequences

At a prophecy luncheon today we were discussing some of the chatter I am starting to hear about what may happen if the sea in the Gulf of Mexico ends up running down into the hole that oil is currently gushing out of after the BP rig malfunctioned. You know the hole...it's the one that is currently spewing thousands of barrels of oil into the Gulf every single day.

I was reminded of a video I had once seen about the Lake Peigneur disaster that happened in 1980 down in Louisiana.

I will post this amazing video here which was done by the History Channel; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddlrGkeOzsI&feature=related

Some may wonder where this discussion is going. After you watch this video of what happens when an 1100 acre lake that is only 10 feet deep drains into a 14 inch hole....you can let your mind wander what may happen if a 5000 foot deep Gulf starts to drain into a 10 foot wide hole 5000 feet below the surface.

I have absolutely no idea if the physics of such a thing are even possible. But some scientists are saying that the oil is currently being sucked out of a cavern that is the size of the Grand canyon thousands of feet under the Gulf and if the ocean were ever allowed to rush into that empty void....a disaster of Biblical proportions could result.

Of course we all hope this never happens. But after seeing Lake Peigneur drain like a bathtub back in 1980...we will pray that this isn't foreshadowing what happens when a small mistake can lead to huge consequences.

Now It's Illinois

We have been watching CA and mentioning NY, NJ, IL, and NV as other states who are woefully underwater in deficits.

Today the New York Times is reporting that Illinois isn't paying it's bills...and it's getting worse every day.

CHICAGO — Even by the standards of this deficit-ridden state, Illinois’s comptroller, Daniel W. Hynes, faces an ugly balance sheet. Precisely how ugly becomes clear when he beckons you into his office to examine his daily briefing memo.

He picks the papers off his desk and points to a figure in red: $5.01 billion.

“This is what the state owes right now to schools, rehabilitation centers, child care, the state university — and it’s getting worse every single day,” he says in his downtown office.

Mr. Hynes shakes his head. “This is not some esoteric budget issue; we are not paying bills for absolutely essential services,” he says. “That is obscene.”

For the last few years, California stood more or less unchallenged as a symbol of the fiscal collapse of states during the recession. Now Illinois has shouldered to the fore, as its dysfunctional political class refuses to pay the state’s bills and refuses to take the painful steps — cuts and tax increases — to close a deficit of at least $12 billion, equal to nearly half the state’s budget.

See it here; http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/03/business/economy/03illinois.html?_r=3&partner=MYWAY&ei=5065

As the article goes on to say, states technically can't go bankrupt...it's against the law. So that means that somehow they are going to have to cut all the services and programs and figure out a way to pay all that they owe.

And of course this doesn't include the 50% unfunded public pension that the state has.

Of course they WILL be going to the Federal Government asking for some more free money.

Fire up the printing press! Sell some more Treasury Bonds!

It's like bailing water from a sinking boat and throwing it into a sinking ship.

That might float the boat for a while....but common sense says it's only prolonging the fact that they are both sinking.

Obama; Most Radical President Ever

Dr. Richard Rubenstein, Yale Fellow, Harvard Phd and "Distinguished Professor of the Year"....has a must see interview.

In it he calls Obama the most radical U.S. President ever.

Even more concerning, he believes the Obama will seek the destruction of Israel once he gets the chance.

See this important video here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNlaQEYw0q4

Let's remember that only God sets up and takes down rulers and nations. Obama is not the U.S. President by accident. Most likely we have elected the exact leaders that we deserve.

Only if we humble ourselves before God and seek His face....will He then hear our prayers in heaven and heal our land.

I don't see a lot of evidence of that promise currently taking place. Until it does, I believe our land will continue to become more and more ill.

Turkey Threatens Israel

Just another day with Israel being in the top headlines on Google. The world is continuing to wring it's hands over Israel....unable to figure out any solution....and growing increasingly frustrated and anti-Semitic.

Turkey's foreign minister says his country will cut diplomatic ties with Israel if it does not apologize for the commando raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla that killed eight Turks and a Turkish-American.

In an interview published Monday in the Hurriyet newspaper, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said relations with Israel will be broken unless Israel apologizes or agrees to accept the conclusions of an international inquiry into the May 31 attack.

But on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will not apologize for the raid.

In comments to Israeli state television (Channel 1), Mr. Netanyahu said Israel regrets the loss of life in the raid, but it cannot apologize that its soldiers had to defend themselves to avoid being "lynched."

See it here; http://www1.voanews.com/english/news/europe/Turkey-Threatens-to-Cut-Ties-With-Israel--97793219.html

Remember that Turkey is one of the named nations of the Ezekiel 38 coalition who will gather to destroy Israel....probably after the rapture of the church. So what we are seeing is prophecy being fulfilled right before our very eyes.

No one knows the day or the hour concerning the rapture of the church...that's for sure. BUT you brothers will not be in darkness so this day should surprise you like a thief. We are all sons of the light...so if we are paying attention, we will NOT be surprised if we were to hear the trumpet start blowing today. (1 Thessalonians)

But I can tell you the sad truth....if the trumpet did start blowing today announcing the rapture and the end of the age.....most self-proclaimed believers would have no clue what the noise even was....and they WOULD be surprised.
