LA Fires Destroy 1000 Homes, Worst Fire EVER Seen in LA County

 The photos and videos are certainly apocalyptic coming out of California.  It hasn’t rained for 8 months and 100 mph winds blew a brush fire right into a very expensive part of Los Angeles.  Many homes are just burned right to the ground.  Imagine the cost and time it will take to rebuild that many homes.  How many contractors will it take?  Where will they come from?  It’s not over yet as the “worst Fire ever”, continues to ravage LA.

META to Get Rid of Fact-checkers

 This seems like one more WIN for Conservatives since Trump was elected.  Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, came on camera today to say that Facebook and other META platforms were going to get rid of "fact-checkers" and replace them with community notes.

In his five-minute statement, Zuckerberg said: “Governments and legacy media have pushed to censor more and more. A lot of this is clearly political, but there’s also a lot of legitimately bad stuff out there, drugs, terrorism, child exploitation. These are things that we take very seriously, and I want to make sure that we handle responsibly.

“So we built a lot of complex systems to moderate content, but the problem with complex systems is they make mistakes, even if they accidentally censor just 1% of posts, that’s millions of people, and we’ve reached a point where it’s just too many mistakes and too much censorship. The recent elections also feel like a cultural tipping point towards, once again, prioritising speech.”

He said that removing some restrictions on content on topics such as gender and immigration would “make sure that people can share their beliefs and experiences on our platforms” and he said the focus of filters that scan posts for policy violations would be shifted to only tackling illegal and high severity violations with Meta, relying on users to report lower severity violations before it takes action.

“By dialling them back, we’re going to dramatically reduce the amount of censorship on our platforms,” he said. “We’re also going to tune our content filters to require much higher confidence before taking down content. The reality is that this is a tradeoff. It means we’re going to catch less bad stuff, but we’ll also reduce innocent people’s posts and accounts that we accidentally take down.”

There is no doubt that we are living in the age of deception.  Artificial Intelligence now has the capability to cut and paste anyone's face into any photo or video and make 99% of viewers believe what they are seeing.  How will the average person ever REALLY know what is true?  If the government tells us the drones over New Jersey are nothing to worry about, are they telling us the whole truth?

If the government tells us that this vaccine will protect us from disease, do we really trust them to be telling the truth?

Now, more than ever, we need to be plugged into the Word of God because going forward this will be the only rock-solid anchor that we can rely on.  Jesus is the only way for men to be saved.  Jesus is God.  Jesus created all things and He's coming back for us to take us to the place he's been for these past 2000 years.  If it wasn't true he wouldn't have told us these things.

Could Trump Make Canada Great Again?

Trump is the master at trolling and making liberal heads explode.  It’s pretty fun to watch.  They can’t tell if he’s actually serious or just being funny and smart.  He’s already said we should look at taking back ownership of the Panama Canal, make Canada part of the USA and also to buy Greenland and make it part of USA for national security reasons.  Honestly, he may be joking or he may have some really great ideas!  Who’s going to stop us from pursuing these ideas?  Who says that the USA can’t grow?

President-elect Donald Trump renewed his push to make Canada part of the United States following Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s announcement Monday that he will be resigning.

“I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister after the party selects its next leader through a robust, nationwide, competitive process,” Truedeau told reporters.

The Hill reported that Trudeau has served as Canada’s prime minister for nine years and leader of the Liberal Party for 11.

“He has faced mounting crises, including the resignation of a top minister and a confrontation with Trump’s 25 percent tariff plan, among other issues,” the news outlet said.

In a post on Truth Social following Trudeau’s announcement, Trump wrote, “Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State. The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat. Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned.”

Most of us on the Conservative side of things have a really tough time calling what happened 4 years ago an "insurrection".  Of course the Democrats are convinced that it should be a date that forever lives in infamy...like 9/11 or Pearl Harbor.  But they could never get that to fly.  99% of Americans would have no clue if you asked them, "Where we you on J6?"  

No doubt there were some folks there who wanted to start a riot.  But they certainly had no plan to overthrow the government and send all the politicians into exile like some 3rd world country while they took over the throne.  Many of them were there to protest the scrupulous election results that were brought into question from millions of ballots mailed in for the first time in US history!  Many of them had the door opened to them and were escorted into the capitol.  They took pictures like they were on a field trip!

Many believe that the J6 tribunal was a monkey court that was meant for one thing only...to bring down Trump and try to make him into an "insurrectionist".

What a burn it must be to have to confirm that he was elected in what some are calling a landslide.

 It was reported that “Muhammad” recently entered the top 10 boy names in New York City for the first time in the town’s history.

The Queens Gazette reported that the New York City Health Department announced the most popular names for babies born in the city in 2023.

“Our youngest New Yorkers are what makes our city so special,” Acting Health Commissioner Dr. Michelle Morse said. “We welcome Emma, Liam, Mia, Noah and all the other newborns to New York. With your presence, our city is a more joyful, brighter place for the new year and beyond.”

However, the news source pointed out that even though the most popular names were still Emma and Liam, a new name, Muhammad, appeared on the list, indicating the cultural and demographic shift in the city.

Credit Card Defaults Up 50% Over Last Year

 The $1 coffee at McDonalds is now $1.69.  The $2.79 McGriddle is now $5.39.  Imagine taking your family of 4 to McDonald’s for a simple breakfast and having a $40 bill!  And bird flu has now pushed eggs up near $5 per dozen.  And a T-bone steak at the butcher is $26 for 1 steak!  The Biden government wants to insist that inflation isn’t really a problem and maybe that’s one reason he lost.  People living check to check with no savings have no choice but to borrow money and hope for a better tomorrow.  So when the payments go into default to the tune of $46,000,000,000 we can say, “Houston, we have a problem.”

The bad credit forced lenders to collectively write off a whopping $46 billion in loans that are considered seriously delinquent in the first nine months of 2024.

Based on data compiled from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the US banking industry information platform BankRegData, the figure represents a 50% year-over-year increase.

According to BankRegData, Capital One customers are facing the highest credit card delinquencies, with a total delinquent amount of $7.68 billion, representing 5.36% of their credit card loans.

Next is Citibank with $4.79 billion (2.93%) in delinquencies, followed by Synchrony Bank at $4.50 billion (5.02%), JPMorgan Chase at $4.10 billion (2.16%), Discover Bank at $3.9 billion (3.93%) and Bank of America at $2.56 billion (2.54%).

The rapid rise in credit card loan defaults is a sign of strained consumer finances after years of high inflation and the subsequent rise in interest rates.

Mark Zandi, head of Moody’s Analytics, tells FT that consumer spending power has clearly diminished in most households.
